-Chapter Ten-
"Finally it's the weekend!" Riku said as she and Daisuke walked side by side towards the school gate after school along with Satoshi. "Hey Daisuke do you want to come over later? Please?"
"Uh sure," Daisuke replied with a smile to his girlfriend.
Satoshi noticed that Daisuke's smile had been a little uneasy the last few days and that his eyes showed like he had been thinking over something hard. He had noticed it a couple of days after last speaking with Selena of his wish to have Daisuke happy with whatever he felt. He'd noticed it when he was particularly around Riku though.
'What is going on in his mind?' Satoshi thought as they walked out of the gates heading towards the train lift.
"Oh darn. I forgot one of my books," Riku said stopping and the other two stopped. "I'll see you later then Daisuke!" She turned and ran back towards the school leaving Satoshi and Daisuke standing there.
"You seem like you have a lot on your mind," Satoshi said quietly as they turned and headed towards the lift. "You want to talk about it?"
"Oh no it's okay," Daisuke said quietly putting on a smile. "It's nothing much really."
"You sure?" Satoshi asked.
"Yeah it's nothing," Daisuke replied with a nod.
They walked in silence the rest of the way to the lift and down until they parted their ways to their own homes. Satoshi stopped and glanced back to Daisuke walking the other way lowering his head slightly and putting his hands in his coat pockets.
'Daisuke,' Satoshi sighed as a small gust of cold wind blew up from behind him shifting his icy blue hair before he turned and headed towards his apartment.
'I wonder how Daisuke's doing right now,' Satoshi thought as he sat at his laptop clicking through old files of Dark's thieving days, missing the chase and challenge of trying to catch the thief. He looked at the time on the clock showing nearly eight in the evening. 'He's probably still with Riku I bet.'
Suddenly there was a soft knock on the door and he looked up from the laptop confused. He shut it off and quickly got up and went to the door opening it slowly and peered out.
"Daisuke? What are you doing here?" he asked opening the door more and stepped aside to let the redhead in. "I thought you'd be with Ms. Harada."
"I needed to get away for a while," Daisuke said quietly taking off his shoes and coat.
"Is everything alright?" Satoshi asked shutting the door and taking his coat and hung it up. "You sound like you're unsure of something."
"It's nothing much," Daisuke said quietly still and followed Satoshi to the living room and sat down on the couch.
"Daisuke I'm worried about you," the blue haired boy said sitting down next to the redhead who was staring at his hands in his lap. "Please tell me what's wrong. As your friend I'd like to know what's bothering you this past week." Daisuke didn't say anything and Satoshi reached his hand up gently to Daisuke's cheek and turned it up towards him to see Daisuke's eyes starting to water up in tears. "Daisuke?"
Daisuke looked into Satoshi's ice blue eyes as a couple of tears fell down his cheeks then leaned forward giving him a hug and buried his face in Satoshi's shoulder. "I broke up with Riku," he muttered slightly as Satoshi put his arms around the redhead to comfort him.
"What?" the blue haired boy asked looking down as red eyes still wet with tears looked up at him.
"I broke up with Riku today when I went over to her house," he said quietly with a sniffle as more tears started to well up. "I'd been thinking over it the last few days and I just don't feel anything for her anymore."
Satoshi's heart nearly skipped a beat hearing this but kept his soft expression and wiped the tears from Daisuke's eyes. "It's okay Daisuke," he said softly.
"It's not okay," the redhead said before burying his face in Satoshi's shoulder again, his words muffled once more. "She was a bit mad about it and told me to leave, probably to think about it or something. I miss Dark and talking to him to help me out but I'm sure you're happy Krad's gone now. And I...I think I..." He muttered the rest so Satoshi couldn't understand.
"You think you what Daisuke?" Satoshi asked softly but the redhead in his arms only buried his face deeper into his shoulder, holding Satoshi in a tighter hug. "Daisuke what do you think you what?"
"...ike...ou..." Daisuke's muffled voice came from his shoulder.
"What?" Satoshi asked softly pulling the redhead back slightly and looked into his fiery red eyes.
"I...I...like...you," Daisuke said quietly looking away before he buried his face back into Satoshi's shoulder.
Satoshi's eyes went wide in surprise at the words he heard and his heart skipped a beat as he looked down to the redhead smelling of cinnamon in his arms. "Daisuke?" he asked quietly.
"Please don't be mad at me," Daisuke's muffled voice said as he gave a slight squeeze in his hug to Satoshi.
Satoshi moved his right hand up gently to the back of Daisuke's head and ran his hand gently through his hair. "I'm not mad at you Daisuke," he whispered gently in Daisuke's ear. "I'm not mad because...because I like you too Daisuke."
Surprised red eyes looked up at icy blue ones blinking wet lashes holding tears still. "You...you're not mad?" Daisuke asked quietly. "You...like me too?" Satoshi only nodded. "How...how long?"
"Ever since I first met you," Satoshi replied quietly, his hand still entangled in Daisuke's red hair gently.
Daisuke stared up at Satoshi in a moment of silence between them before Daisuke leaned up slowly towards Satoshi until they were inches from each others' faces. Then he moved his arms up around Satoshi's neck before he leaned forward and felt his lips press slightly against Satoshi's.
Satoshi felt his heart skip several beats feeling Daisuke's lips against his and slowly moved his arms around the back of Daisuke pulling him closer and onto his lap some as he deepened the kiss a little earning him a slight moan from the redhead in his arms. He then pulled back after a moment as Daisuke did to catch their breath, inhaling each others' scent.
"Satoshi?" Daisuke asked in a whispered voice inhaling the blue eyed boy's minty scent.
"Yeah Daisuke?" Satoshi replied in a whispered voice as well, their faces still inches from each other.
"Do you think I can stay the night tonight?" Daisuke asked in a whisper still. "Get away from everybody else tonight?"
"Sure Daisuke," Satoshi whispered back.
"Thanks," Daisuke whispered before he started to pull out of Satoshi's arms and stood. "Can I use the phone and call home?"
"Yeah. It's in the kitchen on the wall," Satoshi said reluctantly letting the redhead go. Daisuke nodded and quietly walked to the kitchen.
Satoshi leaned back against the couch letting everything sink in on what just happened and put a finger to his lips feeling the lingering feeling of Daiuske's warm lips on his. He let his hand drop back down and closed his eyes with a smile playing at his lips.
Suddenly a light weight sat on his lap leaning against him and he opened his eyes to bright red eyes looking back with a smile on his face and in his eyes. "I bet I can stay awake longer than you," he said grinning.
"Stay awake longer huh?" Satoshi asked with a smirk knowing that it meant the redhead could stay. "I bet you won't." He grinned. "You'll be sound asleep before midnight I bet."
"Is that a challenge?" Daisuke asked playfully like he always remembered Dark saying a few times.
"Oh yes it sure is," Satoshi said in a sly tone like Krad had used on him before. "I bet a nice, hot bath would surely do the trick." He grabbed Daisuke still on his lap and picked him up and carried him to the bathroom where he got some warm bathwater running before Daisuke had time to refuse.
"Come on Daisuke," Satoshi said as the water ran to fill up the tub. "Don't you want a nice bath to relax?"
"I'll still beat you staying awake," the redhead grinned at the blue haired boy. "Why don't you take the bath hm?"
"Oh but I insist you go first," Satoshi said as he pulled Daisuke towards the tub.
Suddenly they both lost their balance and fell into the water with a splash still in their clothes. They looked at each other soaked and laughed.
"Well I guess we're both soaked now," Daisuke said laughing pulling some of his wet hair from his face.
"Yeah," Satoshi laughed as he shut the water off and looked at Daisuke before moving closer to him and bringing his face close to whisper. "Why don't we just take one together since we're both in here?"
"I was kind of thinking the same thing," Daisuke whispered back.
Satoshi smiled as he trailed his hand down to the bottom of Daisuke's sweatshirt and pulled it up slowly with his shirt underneath up over Daisuke's head and squeezed most of the water out before dropping it outside of the tub to the floor. Daisuke reached out and unbuttoned Satoshi's shirt and pulled it off him, wringing it out too before dropping it outside the tub beside his own sweatshirt and shirt. Then Satoshi trailed his hand down Daisuke's stomach through the water to his waist and slowly unbuttoned his soaked jeans and unzipped the zipper tugging at the top of his jeans. Daisuke scooted so that Satoshi could pull them off and looked at him as he squeezed out as much water of them before adding them to the pile of wet clothes. Daisuke pulled off his socks adding to the pile then reached his hand out to Satoshi's stomach and trailed down to his jeans and unbuttoning and unzipping them slowly and pulled them down and off with Satoshi's help tossing them to the pile after squeezing out most of the water.
Running his hand along Daisuke's waistband of his soaked boxers, Satoshi slowly started pulling the side down giving Daisuke a slight chill up his spine despite the warm bath water. Satoshi slowly pulled them down and off tossing them to the pile and looked back to Daisuke that had a beet red face. Daisuke still blushing reached up and ran his hand along the waistband of Satoshi's boxers before pulling them down and adding it as the last article of soaked clothes to the pile.
Satoshi looked down at Daisuke still blushing deep red and smiled at him before a slight shiver went up his spine as the warm water was running off his back. Daisuke noticed and reached his arms around his shoulders pulling him down against him dipping a hand into the warm water and moving it over Satoshi's back to warm him up.
"Is that helping to warm you?" Daisuke asked in a whisper near Satoshi's ear putting more water on Satoshi's back.
"Mmm. Very much," Satoshi whispered in reply looking into Daisuke's fiery eyes and leaned down kissing his lips. Daisuke gave a low moan at the kiss and wrapped his arms around Satoshi's shoulders as Satoshi deepened the kiss more.
Breaking the kiss to catch their breath, Satoshi kissed down to Daisuke's neck earning him another low moan. He snaked his hand down between them wrapping his hand around Daisuke.
"Mmm...Satoshi," Daisuke moaned at the feel of Satoshi's hand around him. Satoshi smiled in his kiss on Daisuke's neck as he moved his hand along him earning more moans from the redhead. "Sa...to...shi."
Daisuke moaned and arched his back slightly in the warm water at the feel of Satoshi's hand on him. He tightened his grip on Satoshi's shoulders as Satoshi continued and moaned as he tipped his head back as a wave of pleasure washed over him after a few minutes feeling himself come. "Satoshi!"
Satoshi looked down at Daisuke as he relaxed back down into the water, his eyes glazed over and breathing in ragged breaths trying to catch his breath and smiled at the redhead. He moved his hand away slowly and leaned down capturing the redhead's parted lips in a deep kiss.
Daisuke moaned into Satoshi's kiss then moved his hand down and wrapped it around the blue-haired boy above him earning a moan from him. He shifted his position and turned with Satoshi following so he was above the blue-haired boy looking up at him with his ocean deep eyes. He moved his hand along Satoshi who moaned at his touch.
"Oh...Daisuke." Daisuke only continued and leaned down to kiss Satoshi's neck as Satoshi moaned and arched his back slightly. "Dai...suke."
Satoshi tightened his grip around Daisuke's shoulders he had wrapped his arms around and tilted his head to the side and back as a wave of pleasure washed over him as he came and moaned. "Daisuke!"
Daisuke smiled at the ocean deep eyes looking up at him glazed over and breathing in shallow breaths through parted lips and leaned down capturing them in a kiss as he moved his hand away slowly. Satoshi kissed back tightening his grip a little around Daisuke's shoulders as he relaxed back into the water. Then after a moment they broke the kiss still breathing a little quickly and Daisuke leaned his forehead against Satoshi's trying to calm their quick beating hearts.
"We...we should probably get out before the water turns cold," Satoshi whispered softly.
"But I don't want to move," Daisuke whispered back softly but started to sit up after a moment. Satoshi followed in sitting up but Daisuke still sitting where he was on his lap and reached forward opening the drain on the tub to let the water out. "Mmm...I wish we could just sit here forever."
"That would be nice," Satoshi said as Daisuke held him and held him back as the water ran down the drain before reaching forward to the knobs to turn on the water. "Let's rinse off real quick then do something okay?" Daisuke nodded slowly as Satoshi turned on the water again to the shower.
"Eep! Cold!" Daisuke said as cold water fell down from the shower as Satoshi adjusted the knobs with an arm still around Daisuke before turning warm again. Daisuke reluctantly let go of Satoshi and slowly stood along with Satoshi to warm up under the falling water again.
After getting out and drying off and getting into some pajama bottoms of Satoshi's, Daisuke sat on the couch as Satoshi put their wet clothes in the dryer to dry. Then Satoshi came into the living room again with a bowl of ice cream and sat down next to Daisuke who was eyeing the cold treat.
"Here open your mouth," Satoshi said with a spoonful of the yummy treat and Daisuke did, getting the bite of the minty vanilla ice cream.
"Thanks Satoshi," Daisuke said as the icy-haired boy took a bite of his own. Then again, Satoshi held out the spoon to Daisuke with another bit on it which the redhead ate. "My turn."
Taking the spoon and dipping it into the ice cream, Daisuke held it out for Satoshi this time. Satoshi gladly ate it and took the spoon back to give Daisuke the next bite.
"Mmm. That was good," Daisuke said after they finished the ice cream and Satoshi took care of the bowl.
Satoshi smirked as he looked to Daisuke who gave a yawn and tried hiding it. "Someone's tired already?" he asked the redhead on the couch still and stood in front of him.
"I'm not tired," Daisuke said but started yawning again as Satoshi smirked more.
"You know, why don't we get some sleep anyway?" Satoshi asked taking Daisuke's hand and pulled him to his feet. "You've already been through a lot today and I'm sure tomorrow will be even crazier."
"Okay I guess," Daisuke said as Satoshi pulled him towards his room. "But where will I sleep?"
"With me," Satoshi said simply as h pulled the redhead into his room. "I couldn't leave you sleeping on the couch and I only have one bed so why not? Besides, we'll both stay warmer that way."
"That does sound better that way," Daisuke said as he went over to the bed and crawled in under the covers and Satoshi shut off the light then crawled in next to Daisuke.
"Feeling warm?" the blue-haired boy asked as he pulled the redhead close and held him around the waist.
"Yeah," Daisuke replied sleepily as he snuggled closer to Satoshi. "You're really warm."
"You are too," Satoshi answered back feeling sleep starting to take over as well. "Goodnight Daisuke."
"Goodnight Satoshi," Daisuke mumbled sleepily back with his eyes already closed.
Satoshi smiled at the redhead already asleep in his arms then looked to the window where snow fell softly outside. 'Thanks Selena,' he thought to himself with a slight smile. 'I know it was Daisuke that realized his feelings but you helped out somehow in someway. If you can hear me somehow, I just wanted to say thanks.' He then looked back to Daisuke sleeping and gave him a soft kiss on his forehead then closed his eyes letting sleep take over.
