Chapter 10
"How are we gonna smash such a big dam?" asked Mabu.
"It's complicated, but I'll show you when we've got everything. Now go." At the command Kovu and Mabu ran off to find the strangely requested items. "Give a dog a bone," said Oliver averting his gaze to the dam, "he'll chew on it for hours." And started climbing down to the bottom.
"Where could he be," Kiara said to herself, she had been looking for the young gorilla for a while now, and success was looking slimmer and slimmer by the minute. But then, "Please let me go!" Kiara heard something nearby, but couldn't see anything. "Please, I wanna see my mommy and daddy again!" This time Kiara walked toward where she heard the cry and found herself in front of a pit trap, which had been remade to work as a jail.
"Hey, how did you get down there!"
"You put me here remember!"
'He must be talking about the other lioness,' she thought. "Don't worry, I'm not that lioness, but I'll help you out!" Meanwhile from the bushes, a large figure was keeping watch. She had considered killing Kiara right then and there, but that would interfere with her goal, so she simply left.
After Kiara got the grate off, the young gorilla started climbing up, using the protruding rocks like a rock wall. After a few minutes Tumbili had reached the top and was thanking Kiara for saving him. "You're welcome, now c'mon let's get you to your parents."
After about ten minutes Oliver was at the base of the dam and looking for the rock he saw in his dream. Finally he had found it. 'It's now or never,' he thought getting a good grip on the rock. 'Kiara, Kovu, everyone,'
"I'm sorry."
"STOP DON'T DO IT!" Oliver looked up and saw Kiara with a young gorilla, She found him, he thought. But it was already to late, he had pulled the rock and the dam came crashing down on him.
