AIR FIELD

Hansen smugly says to his body guard, "Bring him here, Aarif."

Kensi watches as two body guards move towards Zach.

Zach, stands still with his back to Hansen and his men. He looks out at the desert before him thinking of options. If he has a chance to run, he'll run away from Kensi's position. He waits for either a blow to the head or getting grabbed from behind. He secretly hopes it's the latter, getting hit in the head sucks. When the body guards are about twenty feet away the closest one to Zach puts his gun in his waist band and walks cautiously up to him. The other guard hangs back with his gun leveled at Zach.

Kensi whispers softly, "Ten feet, Zach. I'll wait for your signal."

OPS

Matt watches the plasma screen and sees the lone green blip rapidly approaching the two other green blips. "You don't have much time."

AIR FIELD

Zach hears the body guard approaching. He tries to control his breathing. He doesn't move an inch. He says in Pashto in a quivering voice, "Please, please, I was just walking . . . ." He takes a deep breath hoping the body guard buys his attempt at appearing afraid and will let his guard down.

"Shut up," Aarif grumbles in Pashto.

Zach inwardly smiles. He now has an approximate idea of where the body guard is located in relation to where he is standing. He closes his eyes to focus on his hearing. He wants to hear everything. Zach's gets ready to move.

Kensi holds her breath not looking at Zach, but looking through her scope and putting the body guard near Hansen in her cross hairs, trigger finger at the ready listening for Zach's signal. Hansen isn't showing a weapon so he's out of the equation for now. He doesn't strike Kensi as a man who does his own dirty work, he leaves that to others. They'll have to deal with him and the copter pilots later. Right now it's about not letting Zach get captured.

Aarif walks up to Zach and roughly reaches for his hands that are positioned behind his head.

As soon as Zach feels Aarif's hand on his own he grabs the body guard's hand, quickly turns, forces Aarif around, and wrenches the man's arm up behind him.

Aarif yells, "Auuuuugh"

Before anyone can react, Kensi fires her weapon at the body guard nearest Hansen. He drops like a rock.

Startled, Hansen ducks.

In seconds Aarif is between Zach and the trailing body guard. Zach brings his other arm around to meet Aarif's throat. He compresses the man's larynx with trained precision. Zach let's go of the wrenched arm and grabs Aarif's gun.

Aarif reaches up with both hands clawing at Zach's arm, fighting for air.

Zach, using the gun he took from Aarif, double taps the trailing body guard, but not before the guard gets a shot off.

Kensi scans for Hansen, "Hansen's behind an SUV." She looks arounds, "Don't see the helicopter pilots."

Zach doesn't respond.

"Zach?

Still no response.

Zach!"

Zach releases his hold on the body guard and he falls to the ground in a heap, dead. "I'm good."

Kensi breathes a sigh of relief. "Get out of there."

Zach glances in the direction of the helicopter and SUVs. "Do you have eyes on Hansen?"

"Yeah, he's still behind the SUV."

"How about the copter pilots?"

"They're in the cab of the chopper."

OPS

"Granger is on the way."

AIR FIELD

Zach picks up his weapon that he dropped earlier and puts Aarif's gun in his belt. He begins to cautiously move toward Hansen and the helicopter.

Kensi watches him, surprised. "What are you doing?"

"Finishing this."

"Are you crazy?

Just then the helicopter rotors begin to slowly rotate.

Zach takes off in the direction of the helicopter. "He's going to try and fly out of here!"

OPS

"The third SUV is turning in to the dirt road. You have seconds."

AIR FIELD

"Not without a pilot he's not." Kensi looks through her scope, finds the pilot in her site, dials in the range, and fires.

Hansen hunkers down further behind the security of the SUV. He turns to see the pilot slowly slump into the cab's door, dead. Hansen fires in the direction of Kensi's shot and then as an after thought turns in Zach's direction and fires a couple of shots at him. Zach stops and crouches. Luckily Hansen's a poor shot. Hansen continues to fire alternating between Zach's and Kensi's positions as he backs up to the helicopter.

Zach runs toward the helicopter ducking and weaving, "There's still a co-pilot."

Kensi is lining up on Hansen when she hears an incoming car. She quickly flattens herself against the desert floor. "Zach, get down."

Zach dives to the ground moments before the SUV comes charging down into the desert crater.

Hansen, upon seeing his SUV, waves at the incoming car. The SUV barrels down to where Hansen is and stops long enough for Hansen to jump in. "Get the hell out of here!" Zach and Kensi hear over the microphone.

The SUV makes a quick U-turn. Zach fires at the SUV while it rushes pass him and disappears out of the crater. He stands up and dusts himself off. "Kens?"

There's a pause. "Kens?"

Kensi watches as the last of the SUV's back lights head off in the distance. "I'm good." She turns back around.

Zach runs toward the two SUVs.

Kensi, looking through the scope, sees the co-pilot about to shoot, "Zach! Pilot!"

He pulls out the gun that he took from Aarif earlier and fires at the other helicopter pilot killing him. "I'm driving up, get ready to move."

Kensi runs in the direction of the crater entrance as Zach reaches the top in the SUV. She jumps in. "Go, go, go."

Zach immediately accelerates and looks beyond the front of the hood trying to spot the SUV. "Granger, ETA?"

Matt says, "About 20 minutes."

"We don't have 20 minutes. The third SUV is leaving and Hansen is in it."

Kensi adds, "We're following him."

Matt looks at the plasma screen. "I see you. He's about two miles a head."

Zach presses on the accelerator harder pushing the SUV as much as possible, "Kensi . . . . pull up the SUV on the tablet."

Kensi takes the tablet out of her backpack and taps it a few times for the information to come up. "The SUV is off road."

Zach shakes his head. "This is going to be a rough ride. Matt?"

Matt over the comm. "I'm forwarding the SUVs' locations to Granger."

"Make sure he knows we're the second blip."

Matt says,"Now that would really suck."

Zach glances over at Kensi. She has taken her scope off of her rifle and looks through it in search of Hansen.

She turns to Zach. "Too much dust. I can't see."

Zach gestures toward the tablet. "We'll go by the tablet."

Zach tries to take the straightest route possible while missing the pot holes and large rocks. Inside the SUV they get bounced around.

Kensi holds onto the dashboard with one hand while holding onto the tablet with the other. She watches the blips on the tablet. "We're gaining on him."

Zach to Matt, "Where the hell is Granger?"

"They slowed down the minute they went off road. He's coming toward you."

"Patch us through to his comm."

Matt, "Go."

Zach, "Granger."

Granger, "It looks like he's making a run for the nearest boarder."

Kensi, "He's desperate which translates to dangerous."

Granger, "According to the tracking he's a little northwest of our position. We'll try to pick up the pace and get in front of him."

Kensi puts the tablet in the side pocket door and moves from a sitting position in the front seat to a kneeling position facing the back.

Zach watches her step over the middle console and crawl her way to the back. "What are you doing?"

"I'm going to see what kind of toys these boys left behind." Kensi digs around and a few minutes later holds something up. "Well, looky, looky." Kensi holds up a light weight anti-tank rocket launcher.

Zach looks quickly in the rearview mirror and smiles. "Niiiiice."

She digs around in the back some more and comes up with what she's looking for. "Biiiin- gooooo!"

Zach risks looking up at the rearview mirror once again and sees Kensi with a big smile on her face looking at a box that contains an anti-tank rocket. He looks back in the direction they are traveling. "You know Kens, if I didn't know better, I would swear you have a gleam in your eye."

Kensi pauses for a moment thinking back to the last time she had heard something similar. She gives a slight chuckle.

"What?"

She climbs back up to the front with the anti-tank launcher and rocket.

Zach says again, "What?"

Kensi grins, "Nothing, it's just that I've heard that before."

Suddenly, Granger over the comm, "They're slowing down."

Kensi looks at Zach puzzled, "The boarder is still miles away."

Zach shrugs his shoulders. "Terrain must be rough."

Matt from ops tracking both of the SUVs and Granger, "Granger, why are you stopped?

"We've hit something."

Matt incredulously, "Great."

"And we're out of range for any type of tactical maneuver."

Zach, just shakes his head, unbelieving, "This just keeps getting better and better."

Matt tries to reassure him. "We can still make this work." He pauses and looks at the blips and Granger on the larger screen in ops. "Zach, continue slowly."

Zach slows down and with Kensi's instructions creeps up on the SUV. He looks pass the dirty windshield and dust. "I see them."

"Have they seen us?"

"They aren't shooting at us so I don't think so."

Matt, "Hansen's too busy yelling at his driver."

Kensi opens the sun roof. Once it's completely open she stands with one foot on the center console and the other on her front seat.

Zach looks up at her as she positions herself. "Can you see them?"

Kensi yells down. "Yep."

"Do you think you have a shot?"

She comes back down from her position and gathers up the anti-tank weapon and rocket. She looks at Zach and smiles. "Can you get a little closer and then stop? It will only take me a few seconds to line up the target."

Zach, "Matt, can you confirm that Hansen is in that SUV."

Matt nodding his head to no one in particular. "Yes, Zach. I hear three voices and one of them is Hansen's."

"Okay, Kens." He looks at her. "You ready to do this?"

"I'll let you know." Kensi repositions herself up through the sunroof. She loads the anti-tank launcher, orients it on her shoulder, and nudges Zach with her knee.

He stops the SUV. A few moments later she fires.
