"Tenten-san?"
She stopped, she knew that voice, Tenten slowly turned around and saw her new friend standing there with a smile on his face. He was in a western button-up shirt with a light blue Gi and dark blue trim over it, he wore hawkama pants in the same color blue as his shirt tucked into running shoes, Tenten reconized them to be an old fashion style, and they looked almost new. He was carrying a basket and she leaned forward to see herbs in it.
"Seta-san. Hello." Tenten greeted with a smile on her face, she walked up to him calmly and once she got close to him she quickly wrapped her arms around his waist her head on his shoulder, he stiffened at the unsual contact but slowly wrapped his free arm around her shoulders.
She pulled away from him. "How have you been?"
"Been pretty good, I got a job Tenten-san." Seta said.
Her eyes lit up and her smile turned into a grin,"That is fantastic, what is it?"
"A cook in a resturaunt, I was on my way back from collecting some herbs I needed and decided to walk along the beach on my way back and I saw you." He explained.
"Lovely," she was still grinning "I am so sorry I didn't come back to see you, I got sick and had to get better, I didn't want you to think I ditched you or anything."
He still had his smile on his face. "Tenten-san, I wouldn't."
The tomboy sighed in relief, "Good," she whispered to herself.
"Hey who's that?" Naruto's voice was close Tenten turned around and saw him and Stefan walking towards her, his voice got everyone's attention, well almost everyone. Kakashi-sensei had his face buried in his Make-out paradise book.
Tenten looked back at Seta, his attention was on the others in front of them still smiling, so she inhaled and then exhaled prepared to face the music.
"Naruto, Stefan, this is my new friend Seta." She indicated with her hands.
"Pleased to make you're accqaintence." Seta said politely.
"Likewise." Stefan said walking up to shake his hand and back away again, Naruto merely had his head tilted to the side studying this Seta character.
Kyomi turned her head to the side trying to hide her blush, Why does Tenten always have the cute guys as friends?
Sakura wasn't fairing any better than Kyomi, then she saw her chance!
She walked over to Kyomi and whispered "He's really kawaii,"
Kyomi turned her head to Sakura and nodded, "Yes he is. I just wonder how Tenten does it!" Sakura tilted her head to the side and batted her eyes for a second looking curious. "Does what Kyomi?"
The girl's blue eyes widened for a second and then she shook her head, "Ever since I have known Tenten she always has guy friends that look really kawaii, I mean really really kawaii. How does she do it?!" Kyomi repeated her question.
Sakura shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know,"
"Hm." Was Kyomi's response.
"How long has Tenten known Stefan?" Sakura asked suddenly hoping Kyomi wouldn't mind the sudden change of conversation. The blue-eyed girl stared at her for a moment, "Since childhood."
The pinkette whistled, "That's a long time."
"Sure is." Kyomi said, then leaned in close to Sakura's face "I shouldn't be saying this to you, I mean I don't know you that well but, if you ask me I seriously think that my teammate has got the hots for Tenten."
"Really?" Sakura asked interested "What makes you say that Kyomi-chan?"
Kyomi noticed the suffix and smiled slightly, "If you pay attention to the two of them when they are around each other you'd see that they flirt and they flirt alot. They'll just say it's verbal argument and call each other names that aren't nice, to them insulting each other is like a game and a common day thing. The way I see it; all that fighting and verbal spars are they're strange way of flirting."
"They insult each other?" Sakura asked while furrowing her brows.
Koro who caught some of their conversation decided to join in "Oh yeah, There's not a day that goes by where they don't insult each other, they are real true friends: say Stefan should call Tenten a bitch or canker-blossom she would simply smile sweetly and call him something even more offensive which usually leads to bruises and having to get sepparated by Takaeda-sensei when she hangs out with us."
"Oh." She nodded her head in understanding. Sakura was mentally cheering, this was the gossip she needed!
During the converstion between Sakura, Kyomi, and Koro, Tenten had all ready introduced Seta to her friends and team.
"I have to get going Tenten-san," Seta said.
"We'll be here until sundown, but I see you're point. I will see you later." Tenten said.
He smiled and nodded at her and then started to walk away, after he became a spec in the distance he did a once over and tapped his sandel once on the sand and he was gone.
"Well what do you want to do now Tenten?" Koro asked.
Tenten stared at the sky for a moment, the soft white clouds flowing. Then back at Koro, she smiled "How about we play Chicken?"
Stefan and Naruto's eyes lit up with excitement, "Yeah! Chicken!" they high-fived each other, then Stefan stared at Naruto for a moment and said "You know how to play Chicken?"
The blond merely shrugged "Yeah, Tenten-chan taught me, it's fun."
Stefan grinned at his friend "It sure is Naruto."
Naruto grinned back at him in response, Tenten walked up to them rubbing her hands together with a smirk on her face. "Okay who's teaming up with who?"
Naruto raised his hand in the air, "You and me Tenten-chan!"
She nodded her head smirk still on her face and turned to Stefan, "And what about you there Handsome?" Her friend turned to Koro "Hey Koro man, Let's beat these losers."
Naruto's temper started to flare, "We." He indicated with his hands to himself and Tenten, "are not losers believe it!" Koro walked up to Stefan. "I'm in man."
"Naruto," Tenten said, "let's prove them wrong."
He raised a fist in the air "Yeah believe it!"
He knelt down in the water and Tenten placed her hands on his shoulders and gave a little jump and sat down he wrapped his arms around her thighs and stood up shaking a little, she placed her hand on his, "You okay Naruto? don't-don't drop ahhh!" She said with laughter in her tone as they crashed in the water because Naruto slipped. Stefan was smirking as he held Koro on his shoulders.
"Sorry about that Tenten." Naruto said while rubbing his neck and chuckled nervously as they resurfaced, she smiled.
"It's okay Naruto, shall we try again?" She asked.
He nodded his head, and after they tried again ended up as another fail, their attempts had Kyomi giggling, after two more tries. Naruto was getting fustrated until Tenten said, "Let's try it with you sitting on my shoulders, how about that?"
His eyes widened at her, "Are you-" but she cut him off "I am pretty sure I can handle you're weight Orange Lighting."
"Okay." Tenten knelt down in the water and this time it was Naruto who jumped on her shoulders and she wrapped her arms around his thigh she stumbled a little but stood straight, Stefan sighed, "Finally."
"Now we can play." Koro said.
"Here we come to get ya," Tenten said
"Believe it!" Naruto added.
They charged at each other, Naruto pushing against Koro, and he the same. Tenten grunted and she leaned foward giving Naruto leverage, he pushed really hard and Stefan lost his footing sending him and Koro into the water with a huge splash.
"Yeah!" Naruto cheered.
"Great work Naruto." Tenten said
"Thanks Tenten-chan."
Koro was grumbling as he resurfaced, Stefan had his poker face on.
"You got lucky." Koro said.
"Uh-huh, sure." Tenten said she slid down and Naruto fell into the water.
"Hey can I play?" Kyomi asked,
Tenten turned to face her, "Sure you can, hey Lee want to play with us?"
Lee flashed a blindingly white smile while striking his own 'Good Gai' pose. "I'd love to Tenten-chan!" he walked over to her and leaned into her ear and said "Tenten-chan why don't you ask Neji if he wants to play, he might say yes to you."
She stared at Lee for a moment and then said "What makes you say that Lee?"
Lee just smiled as if he knew something she didn't and nudged her in Neji's direction who was having stare down with Sasuke, she stared at Lee for another moment before shrugging and waving her hand in the water and walking to where her moody teammate was. Like Sasuke he too sat upon a rock that was above surface, both facing each other trying to glare the other one down. Tenten walked up to Neji and tapped his knee, he didn't move. She tapped his knee again, he still didn't move.
Tenten sighed, She started waving a hand in front of his face while repeatdly saying "Hello." in different tones. After another minute Tenten was getting fustrated, "Boys." she muttered under her breath she grabbed his shoulder and started to shake it. "Anybody home in there?" She said loudly.
He finally tore his gaze from Sasuke and slapped Tenten's hand away from his shoulder, He stared at her with his usual cold expression. This didn't faze the weapon's mistress at all since she saw it everyday, she stared back at him with a plain face of her own.
"Now that I have your undivided attention, do you want to play a game with us?" She indicated with a wave of her hand to the others who were playing a round, with Naruto on Stefan's shoulders and Kyomi on Koro's. And Lee watching with excited eyes on who was going to win.
He eyed them for a few seconds before turning his head to stare back at her. "What kind of game?" He finally asked, this caused a small grin on to appear on Tenten's face.
"Chicken!" She annouced.
He raised a perfectly arched eyebrow, "Chicken?"
"Yes, Chicken it's fun." She turned away from Neji to stare at Kyomi and Koro who splashed in the water signalling that they lost and Naruto pumping both his fists in the air.
"Yeah!" Naruto cheered.
"Nice work Naruto." Stefan said with a smile on is face.
Tenten turned back to Neji, "The more the merrier you know." deep down Tenten knew he wasn't going to say yes, after all having fun wasn't his thing. More like glaring at everyone and harbouring hatred for his family clan.
She then turned around and walked back to where the others were.
"Hey Tenten-chan!" Naruto said as he smiled at her, she smiled back. "Having fun?"
"Hai." He said still grinning.
"Good."
Tenten turned to look outwards towards the sea, she saw another person surfing a small wave about 100 ft away from her spot on the beach. She walked forward a few steps and squinted her eyes to try and see if she reconized the surfer.
She did! It was a male surfer, with sandy blond hair and blue eyes, wearing yellow and orange checkered swim trunks and had a sea shell choker around his neck. It was Adrian!
He was swaying from side to side and waving his arms out to his sides to steady himself, but he lost control and was swept in the white foam. She grinned and walked toward where he washed up on the shore shaking his head.
"Wipeout!" Tenten said.
The blond-haired boy looked up in surprise, he quickly scrambled to his feet his board floating next to him in the ankle-deep water. "Tenten-gal! It's been awhile."
"Hi Adrian," Tenten said with a smile on her face, he smiled back.
"What are you doing here Tenten-gal?"
"I am here with my team." Tenten said turning to her side and gesturing with her hands, he stopped staring at her and stared at the people who she indicated too. Adrian just raised an eyebrow and stared back at her. Tenten just shrugged she leaned into whisper in his ear, "And be nice."
He smiled at her, "Anything for you, Tenten-gal."
"Tenten," Kyomi said walking up to her a smile on her face. "Who's your friend?"
"Kyomi this is Adrian, Adrian this is Kyomi." Tenten introduced them, the two shook hands in greeting. After Tenten greeted Adrian to everyone she grabbed his hand walked a few feet away and started to converse with him, Stefan was watching them until Koro splashed water in his direction while smirking, "Someone's smitten like a little kitten."
Stefan glared at him while huffing, "Speak for yourself there, Casanova."
Koro's eyes glanced at Kyomi for a spilt second, color crept up into his cheeks, he waved Stefan's comment off still smirking "Please man, I ain't nearly as bad as you are with Tenten, you're totally in love with her. It's not that hard to notice."
"Yeah right, that's what everyone thinks. Allow me to shed some light on the subject, We. Don't. Like. Each. Other. Romantically."
"Mmm-hmm, Says those verbal spars, constant tickle fights, death matches, and come on, the way you look at her, yeah I definately say that you don't have a serious crush on Tenten." He squinted his eyes seeing Stefan clench his fist tightly.
"Koro honestly, I don't like her romantically."
But his blond-haired teammate only shook his head. He walked up to Stefan and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Go after her now, because it looks like several others have gotten an interest in Tenten. Make you're move before anyone one of them do." Then walked back toward where Lee, Kyomi, Naruto and Sakura were playing Chicken. Stefan looked at Tenten.
"Adrian, That's great," Tenten said.
"I know right, you know Tenten-gal, the rest of the crew should be here soon, still probably eating."
Tenten rolled her eyes, "Yeah their stomachs are bottom-less pits." He chuckled at that.
"That's true."
He turned to stare at the waves still crashing against the rocks, he stared back at her and she raised an eyebrow in silent question.
"Wanna surf some more before the crew arrives?"
Tenten sighed, "I was surfing earlier, It's not as easy as it looks, but why not?"
He grinned, "Awesome let's go!" He bent down and grabbed his board she giggled as she ran to get her board and she yanked it out of the sand and saw Stefan standing in front of her.
"Be careful out there."
She smirked at him, "No worries, Handsome." she turned to head out to the water when he grabbed her hand and stared at her, she raised an eyebrow at him, "Okay." Tenten sighed "I'll watch myself out there. Happy?"
"Yes." He let her go and smirked at this time placing a hand on his hip "You go with you're bad self."
She merely smiled and headed out toward the water where Adrian was sitting on his surf board in the water arms crossed waiting for her. She padded to where he was and she too sat on her board, they weren't terribly to far out where the big waves were. But far out enough to surf medium to low baby waves.
For a few minutes nothing happened they continued to sit there and talk because there wasn't a decent wave coming they're way. Tenten was getting annoyed she was about to open her mouth when Adrian shouted and padded out a little and then jumped into a crouch on his board and rode the wave without falling off, Tenten clapped and whooped, "All right Adrian!"
He flashed her a thumbs up.
She turned her head and saw another wave coming towards her, and layed down on her board and padded out a few feet before feeling the wave at the end of her board and jumped up into a couch and steadied herself one hand in front of her and the other out to her side.
She rode the wave out and then raised both her fists in the air but she moved her foot a little and fell off the board and right in the water while yelling in surprise.
Adrian laughed, he walked over to her and offered his hand. "Oh so close Tenten-gal."
"I got wipedout!" Tenten yelled while laughing.
"Yeah it was funny, first you were like 'yeah baby!' then you fell off it was freakin' hilarious." Adrian said.
"Hardy Har Har Har." Tenten said with a smile and waving him off.
The morning went on into the afternoon. Tenten surfed for a while with Adrian, The crew never arrived and Tenten just shrugged her shoulders. She played chicken with Naruto again and they got it right this time he managed to keep her on his shoulders and push the opposing team down in the water. Since Adrian wasn't a ninja he talked to Naruto, they instinatley hit it off as friends, Adrian was interested in hearing Naruto's tales.
Naruto was glad that he had a new friend to talk to, Adrian seemed to enjoy Naruto's company. As Tenten noticed she smiled at the two new friends.
Soon it was Lee who came up with a great water game that everyone could play: Marco/Polo.
Tenten flashed a grin at Lee, she quickly agreed to the idea as did Naruto, Stefan, Kyomi, and Adrian. Sakura seemed to hesitate glancing at Sasuke before agreeing. What came to be a shocker to Tenten was that Neji also agreed to play, she gave him a small smile and Sasuke too agreed to play.
Lee clapped his hands in happiness knowing that everyone was going to play.
"Who'll start?" Stefan asked.
"I will." Adrian volenteered stepping forward and closing his eyes and moved a little to the left and called out "Marco?"
He heard a voice to his right and it sounded light "Polo." and several other voices that seemed to be farther out. Another minute passed when he called out again.
"Marco?"
"Polo!"
"Polo."
"Polo?" The last answer was light as if they were asking a question but Adrian knew they did it to mess with him whoever said that.
Now he was getting fustrated three voices were closer this time and seemed to surround him until he heard a small giggle and turned around sharply and reached out and touched someone who gave a bit of a surprise shriek. He opened his eyes and reconized the black hair in a bun.
"You're turn eh, Kyomi right?" he asked scratching his cheek lightly.
"Yes that's me." she said with a smile "All righty my turn."
She closed her eyes and held her hands out in front of her and called out "Marco." and moved forward until a voice which sounded like Naruto's "Polo." and a few other answers and she promptly pounced on Naruto hearing his surprised yell and fell backwards in the water. They came back up shaking their heads, he glared at her and pointed his finger "That was not fair! You just started!"
She only waved him off which caused him to grit his teeth in anger. "You just weren't quick enough Naruto."
"Why you-" Naruto started to say but Tenten cut him off "Naruto, relax, besides it's your turn now." she gave him a secretive smile and her eyes quickly drifted over to Sakura who was wiping water off her arm and shaking her head. He caught on what she was wordlessly telling him and he grinned "Right." after nodding his head at her, he closed his eyes and said "Marco."
Several voices answered him, and moved to his right and called out yet again, trying to make out Sakura's voice. He heard it and it was to his left, he turned around and followed the sound of her voice. After calling out again her voice was closer this time.
He couldn't hide his grin. "Marco."
"Polo!" Tenten shouted knowing that Naruto wouldn't head for her.
"Polo..." Sakura said getting nervous and hastily moving backwards. With Naruto advancing on her.
"Marco!"
Sakura's eyes went wide. "Polo!" she yelled getting even more nervous. Then made a mad dive to the right but Naruto to had pounced in that same direction and grabbed onto Sakura's arm she cried out in dismay.
"Got you Sakura-chan!"
Sakura pulled her arm free of Naruto's grasp, "Yes you did."
"That means it's you're turn." he said with a grin still on his face, and Sakura couldn't help but roll her eyes at the blond.
"I know that Naruto." she said trying to keep her anger in check. She closed her eyes and held her hands out, Sakura wanted to get this over with she preferred to watch someone walk around with their eyes closed and call out 'Marco' she didn't like feeling helpless, and this definately made her feel helpless. After taking a deep breath she moved forward a few steps with her arms out and called out, "Marco?"
Sakura was greeted by several voices and all seemed close. She honestly didn't care about the others playing this game, she wanted Sasuke. Sakura furrowed her eyebrows in concentration trying to make out Sasuke's voice. She called out in a loud clear voice "Marco?"
"Polo!" She reconized that voice to be Lee's. And it was right near her, she abruptly turned the other way.
"Polo." That was Neji, not hard to miss that monotone voice he has.
"Polo!" No, no, that was Kyomi.
"Polo!" It was Adrian, she didn't want that surfer boy.
"Polo." Bingo! She finally heard Sasuke's voice and to her delight, wasn't that far from her. She called out again. Sakura was getting closer, she was giddy all over and called out again.
"Polo." There was his voice again and she rushed forward not really hearing the surprised answer of polo coming from Tenten.
Sakura opened her eyes to see Tenten in front of her, staring at her with surprise then schooled her expression into a smile. And pointed behind her, the pinkette whirled around only to see Sasuke standing there with his arms crossed against his chest.
She couldn't believe it!
"My turn." Tenten said, she was smiling as she closed her eyes, her hands weightlessly floating in the water in front of her, she walked around a few steps to the right and then stopped and then a few forward then she called out Marco.
Everybody answered at once, Tenten sighed and called out again. "Marco!"
"Polo!" There was a giggle in that voice and Tenten grinned knowing it was Kyomi.
"Polo!" Naruto's voice.
"Polo!" That was Lee's.
"Polo." Tenten was still grinning because she knew that monotone voice anywhere, she was headed in his direction when she stopped, she didn't know who to choose. She shrugged her shoulders, and eyes still closed mentally decided that she would go for the voice that seemed closest to her. So she called out again. "Marco!"
"Polo." Crap, just her luck, she knew that voice and it just so happened to belong to Sasuke Uchiha, Tenten was a woman of her word. she turned left and headed straight for his voice. And called out again "Marco."
Several other polos were heard but Tenten, would not go back on her word, after hearing his voice again she smirked and moved within the blink of an eye and was right behind Sasuke. She laid a hand on his shoulder and him turning around just as fast, mostly in surprise.
"Got ya." Opening her eyes she smirked at Sasuke, and then took a few steps back, it was his turn now and as he was just about to play Takeada-sensei strolled into the water gracefully, and smiled at all the Genin, "It is almost about time for lunch, eat then rest for a few, and then you may return to playing your game of Marco/Polo." Her smooth voice said that indicated no room for argument.
When the subject of food was brought up Both Naruto's and Kyomi's stomachs started to growl, they looked at their stomachs and then at each other and they proceeded to laugh while their cheeks turned a light shade of pink in embarrassment.
Takeada smiled and moved back onto the shore, and Tenten sprinted up to Naruto and grabbed his hand leading him over to the laid out blanket and smiled at him, he let go of her hand and she bent down and fished around the bag for a minute until she came back up with two bento boxes and handed one to him.
"Thanks Tenten-chan!"
She continued to smile at him, and watched him dig in his lunch. Stefan, Kyomi and Koro came to join them, they also started eating. Tenten merely dug back into her bag for a bag of pretzels. Everyone else's eyes lit up. They sat there sharing laughs and stupid jokes, Adrian and Lee joined the group.
An hour passed before the group realized it and they had eaten their lunch and it was back to playing in the water.
:::Hours Later Near 6 O' Clock In The Evening:::
Tenten could tell Naruto was wearing down and he wasn't the only one she saw Sakura panting and looking tired. She couldn't blame her, Lee was persistant in his affection for the pink-haired girl, what made Tenten laugh so hard until her stomach hurt was that Lee was blowing heart kisses Sakura's way, the girl turned left and the right with her arms in the air and wide eyes and bent down until her head touched her knees until he blew an even bigger heart kiss her way she bent backwards until her head banged against the ground, when she got back up she was panting hard and glaring at Lee. He continued to smile adoringly at her while Naruto was glaring at him jealously.
Tenten figured that it was time to start heading back until she saw a group of boys head toward Naruto sneers on their faces, and that's when Tenten reconized them as the boys who always bullied Naruto in the academy, she knew this would not end well.
"Well, well, what do we have here boys?" The leader asked.
Naruto's eyes widened at seeing the people who used to make fun of him, his eyes narrowed in annoyance, "Don't you jerks have somewhere else to be?" irritation clear in his tone.
The second boy spoke up "Well, we were just taking a stroll down the beach and saw you're ugly mug and just had to come and jab at you, and what are you doing here? Skipping class again you horrid failure?"
Naruto's blood was boiling, his hands were clenched so hard his knuckles were white, and started to yell and jumped to attack only to be yanked back, his head whipped around to see another boy and that boy had his fist connect with Naruto's face. He yelled in outrage and with all his might yanked his own arm back to him and was about to counter attack when a female battle cry was heard all heads whipped around to see Tenten holding a double-edged spear and smashed the flat end against the leader's face who was previously laughing gasped in pain, then she twisted in a low crouch and swung the spear to hit the back of his knees and he tumbled to the floor groaning in pain and she was about to jump on him when a pair of hands grasped her waist her eyes widened before gasping and arched her back and then bent forward and the boy following, she stomped on his foot and he cried out in pain then brought the back of her hand to meet his face and he stumbled backwards holding his injured face she whirled around and kicked him in the stomach he too fell to the floor groaning in pain the last boy was so shocked and Tenten could see fear in his eyes that he scrambled to his leader to help him up. The whole time Tenten was yelling at the top of her lungs saying "Take that! And that! How do you like that!? Huh!?" Fire blazing in her eyes.
She dashed forward to punch the last boy in the face and the leader was on his feet and started to run away and the second boy hand a hand over his stomach and had a limp in his run, she gathered her fallen spear and struck a rather threating pose.
As the leader was running away he shouted back to her "Oh you fucking crazy bitch!"
Tenten didn't miss a beat to his horrid words and replied "Keep on running! You dickwad cowardly sons of bitches!"
Everyone was so surprised to see Tenten fight like that, espeically Lee and Gai, Tenten never got that intense with Neji or the occasional spar with Lee, you could see fire in her steel-grey eyes and if she was a dragon you would see fire spiting out of her mouth, but the heavy breathing and meancing look she was giving off certainly made her look like a fire-breathing beast.
Naruto's eyes were wide in amazement, when she turned back to him her meancing appearence died and immedeatly turned into a sweet almost sheepish smile and shrugged her shoulders, as if it was no big deal. And said "That felt good." with a little laugh at the end of her sentence.
"That was awesome Tenten!"
"Naruto, I will not tolerate to anyone bullying you, if they want to mess with you then they'll have to go through me first."
"You mean it?"
"Yes."
Naruto ran up to Tenten and crushed her against him, she laughed. He was so happy, Tenten loved him so much she will defend him with her life, and she wasn't just saying empty words to make him feel better. she pulled away and gave him a big smile.
"Now enough of this gooey show of emotion, feel like an early dinner tonight?" Tenten asked.
"Yeah."
"Yeah I'm worn down too." Kyomi suddenly spoke up, "haven't felt this tired in a while."
"Been outside all day, I think it's about time to head in." Koro agreeing with his teammate.
"I did have fun today." Kyomi stated with a smile. She walked up to Takaeda, "Thank you for allowing us to got to the beach today, it was wonderful, with you're permission, may I take my leave?"
Takaeda was about to answer her when Koro walked up behind Kyomi, "Yes, may I to leave?" briefly glancing at Kyomi from the corner of his eye.
"Yes you may." Takaeda said with a knowing smile on her face.
They nodded with polite smiles Kyomi turned to the blanket and gathered her towel and shoes and Koro did the same, he put his hand on her shoulder and she looked at him, "Let me walk you home Kyomi."
She giggled, "Koro, I am not a little girl, I can walk myself home without any problems."
"I still want to see you home safe," He said.
"I will be fine." Kyomi stated feeling a little agitated now.
"It's what friends do." His eyes narrowed at his stubborn crush.
Kyomi sighed, "Okay, fine." she threw her hands up in the air in defeat while walking toward the dirt path that leads back to the village. He smiled knowing he won and ran to catch up with her.
Tenten shook her head and saw Neji walking toward her. she walked the remaining distance toward him and smiled politely at him. "Yes Neji?"
"A word in private." It wasn't a request, it was a demand.
Tenten nodded and walked to where the palm trees were scattered about. She stared at him thinking he was pretty upset at something and waiting for him to speak.
"What are you hiding?" he finally spoke.
She stared at him for a moment letting his words sink in, "It depends on what you want to know."
"Everything."
"Everything, you mean to tell me that you want to know everything?"
"Hn." He nodded slightly as a yes.
"Okay," Tenten looked at her nails slightly picking them to get rid of the dirt, briefly glancing at her teammate. "Like what?"
He just stared at her while crossing his arms, "Everything you haven't told me."
She raised an eyebrow at him while still inspecting her nails. "But I told you my goals, some of my hobbies, and a little about me."
"I don't like repeating myself," Neji said while narrowing his eyes at her.
"Where do I start?" Tenten asked herself while tapping the side of her head with her finger and looking at the sky, she was about to answer him when a wind appeared out of nowhere and standing there was an ANBU with a wolf mask. Tenten's eyebrows went up in mild surprised and they quickly dropped down. She knew who that was, but since everything ANBU did they did in secret so that meant their identites as well.
"Tenten, Hokage-sama wants to have a word with you." The ANBU spoke.
"Right now?"
"Right now." was the monotone answer, she sighed and nodded her head at him, then turned back to Neji with an apologetic smile on her face.
"I'm sorry that our conversations always get cut-off so quickly Neji, later we can talk at the compound if that's all right with you."
He stared at her for a moment, then nodded his head in 'yes'.
She smiled at him again then went to collect her things but both Naruto and Stefan were there, "What does he want?" Stefan's voice was a whisper and it sounded mad.
"Hokage-sama wants a word with me."
"But why?" was Naruto's question.
"I'm not sure." Tenten shared a look with Stefan, the truth was that her gut feeling was telling her that it was about the S-rank mission she went on days ago, and, something went wrong. Stefan nodded at her and Naruto was about to ask more questions but Stefan cut-in.
"Hey Naruto, Let's go back to your place I'll show you a really cool kunai trick."
"What kind of kunai trick?" He asked with narrowed eyes.
Stefan smirked at him, "The kind that would make you cooler than Sasuke Uchiha."
Tenten choked on holding her laugh in while Naruto's eyes lit up and a grin stretched on his face he pumped a fist in the air and grabbed hold of his arm and started to drag him but the other boy dug his heel in the sand. "Wait, don't you want to say 'good-bye' to your new friend?"
"Oh yeah." Naruto ran up to Adrian and shook his hand the other blond laughing. "It was awesome to meet you and I'll see you around!" He then dashed back to Stefan who gathered everything and let out a luagh at Naruto's antics.
"You too!" Adrian shouted back.
"Tenten." The ANBU spoke reminding her that she needed to go. She nodded at him. And waved her hand at everyone else in good-bye. She ran toward the ANBU and then they disappeared with a Poof!
"So about that really cool kunai trick now?" Naruto asked with a grin.
"Come on then." Stefan said and then they set off for the tree branches. That left Kakashi, Takaeda, Gai, Lee, Neji, Sakura and Sasuke.
Sakura scooted closer to Sasuke while batting her eyes sweetly at him, Kakashi already knew what was going to happen he silently sighed and then Poof! He was gone. Takaeda followed suit and with another Poof! She to was gone. Neji wasn't about to stand around watch Sakura fail at flirting with Sasuke. He picked up his towel and lept for the tree branches.
"I wonder what's wrong with Neji." Lee said quietly to himself.
"Anything wrong Lee?" Gai asked his star pupil. Lee shook his head no, "Nothing is wrong Gai-sensei."
"All right then. Get some rest for tomorrow we have intensive training! 5,000 laps around the village; 7,000 push-ups; 10,000 suicides and to top it off Taijutsu training!"
Sakura's mouth was hung open and and a disgusted look on her face "I don't believe what I'm seeing!" While Sasuke had an extremely annoyed look on his while muttering to himself "There so lame!"
"Yes that sounds absoulutely brillant Gai-sensei!"
Then they proceeded to hug and shout each other's names over and over and louder than before when the waves crashed over them with a fake sunset in the backround as usual. Until they broke apart and shook while running at top speed toward the village leaving trails of dust behind them. And Sakura and Sasuke coughing and waving their hands in front of their faces to get rid on the dust that flew into their faces.
When Sakura was done coughing she couldn't help but notice that she and Sasuke were the only ones there, that seemed to happen lately. She giggled and again batted her eyes at him in a sweet way, "Sasuke-kun would you please walk me home I hate walking alone."
He just glared at her "Walk yourself home Sakura."
"But Sasuke-kun!" It was too late he jumped to the braches and took off and was out of sight in seconds, Sakura pouted 'Why does he always leave me? It's just not fair!' she thought and huffed then bent down to pick up her towel and headed down the path toward the village.
****Readers, I'm sorry that you had to wait a couple more months for me to update. I really am getting bad at not updating like I should, you all probably want to stab me with your knives and pitch forks. But you see, I have writer's block and it really s*cks.
