I am extremely sorry for the wait. Been busy lately and school doesn't help either.

Note: I had to decide between a decision that would end the story soon or a decision that would keep the story going longer. Hope you like decision number two.

Note: In case you're wondering italicized words means that's what they are saying in their head.

They stared into each others eyes ignoring all of their surroundings. They weren't sure whether to feel shocked, confused or happy. Bolin started to slowly open his mouth unsure of what to say but without warning Lee grabbed Bolin by the back of his collar and pulled him away from Mako.

Bolin thrashed around trying to get out of Lee's grasp, "No! Let go of me! Let go of me! I said let me go! Mako! Mako! Ma-!" Bolin's yell was cut short when Lee hit him across the head to stop his struggling with enough force that knocked him out.

Lee dragged Bolin towards Lang and pulled Lang out of the metal cables and threw him over his shoulder. Mako's eyes stared to feel heavy, as they stared to close he turned his head to see Bolin, his brother who he hasn't seen in ten years, unconscious being dragged out the main doors and then out of sight. That was the last thing Mako saw before his eyes closed shut and passed out.

Bolin

Bolin was laying in his bed with a bandage wrapped around his arm where Mako's attack had hit him. He was shaking in bed while letting out little mummers and whimpers from the dream he was having.

In his dream he was reliving the events that happened at the police headquarters. He saw Lee grab his brother again with the intent to kill. He saw Lee light the fire in his hand and swing it towards Mako's face with a smile of pure pleasure but in his dream Bolin couldn't move his body, he couldn't stop Lee, he couldn't help his brother, he couldn't do anything but watch as the flames got closer and closer to Mako's face.

"Mako!"

Bolin shot up from his bed breathing heavily with sweat streaming down his body and then he looked around his surrounding realizing that he was in his bedroom. He tried to get his breathing back to normal as he wiped the sweat off his face.

When Bolin got his breathing under control he thought of everything that happened. I can't believe it, I haven't seen Mako in ten years and when I finally do get to meet him again Lee seperates us. Aww what am I thinking! Even if Lee didn't separate us I couldn't enjoy my time with Mako. I'm a crook, the lowest of the low and Mako, he's a police officer; someone how's meant to arrest crooks for a living. Ahhhh! Dammit! Why did it have to end up like this?! Of all the way we could have reunited why did it have to be this way?!

The whole situation was terrible and Bolin hated every moment of it, he knew Mako would be disappointed with him and now Bolin didn't want to face his older brother because he was scared of what Mako might say but still, in his heart he was glad he finally met Mako and wanted to be with him now since he knew where to find him. Truthfully if this whole thing hadn't happened Bolin might not have ever gained enough courage to look for Mako.

Bolin snapped out of his thoughts when his bedroom door opened and Shady Shin walked through. He smiled when he saw Bolin up, "Glad to see you're up Bolin. You've been knocked out since Lee brought you and Lang back yesterday. I had to patch up that burn mark on your arm but don't worry it won't leave a scar."

Bolin turned towards him with a fake smile, "Hey Shady Shin, thanks for the patch up."

"Sure thing Bolin and now that you're up I can tell you Lightning Bolt Zolt want to talk to you."

"Ya okay." Bolin got up from his bed and headed out of the house towards Lightning Bolt Zolt's office.

Bolin sat down in front of Lightning Bolt Zolt who had Lee standing behind him. "I gotta say kid, you did one heck of a job of breaking Lee out. So here's your payment, one thousand yuans." Lightning Bolt Zolt tossed a bag full of yuans at Bolin. Bolin caught it but didn't change the sad look he was wearing, he had to ask Lightning Bolt Zolt what he was thinking about the whole time he was walking to his office.

"Umm...Mr. Zolt sir, I...there's something...", Bolin took a deep breath to compose himself, "I have a request."

Ligthning Bolt Zolt raised an eyebrow in question but shrugged his shoulder with a grin, "I guess I can hear it considering how good you've been doing. What do you want kid?"

"I...I want out."

The two firebender's faces in front of him showed complete surprise. "What do you mean you want out?"

"I want out, I want to get out of the Triple Treats, I don't want to do this anymore. I'm done." Lightning Bolt Zolt gave him an angry look that scared him but he continued, "I'll give you anything, you can have this payment back, you can have all the yuans I have saved up in my room. Just please let me leave."

Lightning Bolt Zolt continued to stare at him but then smiled and turned his head around towards Lee. "Lee let me see those files you hid from the police." Lee put his hand down his shirt and pulled out a file full of papers and handed it to Lightning Bolt Zolt. He started to flip through the papers, "Hey Lee what was that name you heard Bolin screaming out before you knocked him out cold."

"Hmm..I think it was...Mako right.", Lee replied

Bolin's eyes shot open wide with shock from what he heard and Lightning Bolt Zolt picked out one of the papers from the file. "Ya, Mako. Here he is. Let's see, it tells us his full name, age, bending,...and address. It be a shame if my men decided to pay him a little visit."

Bolin jumped out of his chair and pounded his fist on the desk, "Stay away from him! Don't hur-" He was cut short when Lee punched him in the face sending him back into the chair. Bolin rubbed his cheek and looked at the two firebenders in front of him. "Where did you get that file?"

Lightning Bolt Zolt smiled at Bolin's question, "You see Bolin, Lee was arrested because the police believed he knew important information that I needed which he did. The information he had hidden in his shirt contains every officers personal information and I was worried they would have found it but thanks to you I have it back."

Bolin felt like the guilt was tearing him apart on the inside, it was his fault they knew where they could find Mako and every other officer and do what spirits know to them. "So the way I see it, if you don't what this Mako fella to get hurt than you'll stay in the Triple Threat Triads and not go looking for him."

Bolin wanted to stand up and punch him in the face for threatening Mako but he knew he couldn't for Mako's sake. He hung his head in defeat, "Okay...I'll stay."

"That's great because I got a delivery job for you. As you probably know the festival for the anniversary of the creation of Republic City is tomorrow night. I need you to deliver an important package to a man wearing a fire ferret mask and once you get the job done I figure you can enjoy yourself as long as you're back by midnight. Understood?"

Bolin shook his head in agreement and walked out the door with his payment trying to control his anger and sadness.

Mako

Mako slowly opened his eyes to see nothing but a metal ceiling, he turned his head to the right and saw a row of empty beds going down the long room. He realized he was in the police headquarters' infirmary, he started to wonder why he was in the infirmary but then he remembered.

Bolin. Why? Why is Bolin involved with crooks and scum that belong to the Triple Threat Triads? Why did he leave in the first place and end up being affiliated with them. Why couldn't he just stay out of trouble and away from people like them

Mako thought of a million more questions but couldn't even come up with an answer for any of them. He was just so angry and upset that everything turned out the way it did and showed it in his facial expression but then his angry frown faded away and was replaced with a small smile when he realized something.

He finally found him, he finally found his younger brother. After ten years of searching with no sign of him anywhere he finally found Bolin. It may have been for only a few seconds, well actually a few minutes with the fight they had, but he still found him and he knew that Bolin was safe and well and that was enough for Mako.

The infirmary door swung open and Tao walked in wearing his metalbending uniform snapping Mako out of his thoughts. He looked at Mako sitting up in bed and smiled, "I'm happy to see you're okay Mako. You've been passed out for about eighteen hours now, the paramedics said you would wake up today so they sent me home yesterday. You wouldn't believe how worried Taya was about you, it seems like she didn't even notice the bruise on my chest." Tao noticed Mako was wearing an unusual expression and questioned it. "You doing okay Mako?"

"Uh...ya I'm fine." Tao still questioned Mako's expression but just shrugged it off as nothing. "If you say so. Do you think you can stand up now? Chief Beifong is about to have an officers meeting concerning yesterday's events."

"Ya I can stand and walk now." Mako stood up from the bed and followed Tao out of the infirmary to the main hall. Many officers were cramped into the main hall trying to fix all the damages from yesterday's event. They had already repaired the damages to the headquarters by bending the earth and metal pieces back into place and were now going through all the papers knocked to the floor trying to reorganize them and put them back into the correct files. Mako and Tao watched them all frantically doing it but everyone stopped and kept quiet when Chief Beifong walked into the room.

She stopped in front of everybody with an expression that was as serious as it gets and cleared her throat to speak. "As you all know, two earthbenders attacked the headquarters and broke out a suspect we had in custody. Investigation shows that the suspect and one of the earthbenders are members of the Triple Threat Triads while there is no record on the other earthbender. He is most likely affiliated with them but we can't say for sure. Just know that what happened here yesterday is a mockery of Republic City's Police Force and it will not go unpunished. We will find and capture those responsible or affiliated with what happened and bring down the Triple treat Triads organization. Meeting dismissed."

She walked out of the room and slammed the door behind her. The noise in the room rose when the door closed, many officers were inspired by their Chief's speech and talked about capturing the criminals but Mako stayed silent, thinking about what he just heard. Bolin was a wanted man now.

Mako, Tao and Taya sat at the dinner table with their dinner half-eaten and Tao and Taya looked at Mako with complete shock from what he just told them. "So are you sure the earthbender who knocked me out is your brother?", Tao finally said

"Yes I'm sure of it and I'm pretty he knows I was the other police officer too."

Taya scratched her head trying to comprehend what she was hearing. "I just can't believe it, after ten years of countless searching you finally find Bolin but it happened like this."

"I know Taya. I don't know why it happened like this or why Bolin is with the Triple Threat Triads...but I do know he's alive and if he's alive then that means I can find him." Tao placed his hand on Mako's shoulder and shook it a little, "Do you think you could find him without Chief Beifong catching on and finding out he was part of the attack. She'll arrest him the moment she has the chance and you along with him for keeping it a secret."

"I know what will happen if she catches Bolin before I do but I still have to try."

"Mako, I know you want to find your brother but are you really going to put your career at risk to find him. I know you don't want to hear this but he's been in the Triple Threat Triads for who knows how long and...he might not be the same six year old brother you once knew. Are you willing to go to jail for a crook."

Mako pounded his fist on the table in complete anger from what Tao just said. "That crook is my brother and I'm willing to do anything to find him!" Taya placed her hand on Mako's fist to calm him down, when he did calm down he continued. "I'm sorry Tao, I know you're just worried about me but I need to do this because I know Bolin isn't like the others. When you were unconscious the firebender they broke out grabbed me by the neck and lit a flame in his hand ready to kill me and I though I was done for but Bolin did everything he could to save me. He didn't even know it was me but he still saved me thinking I was just a normal police officer. I know the things he's doing are bad but I also know he still the same person and that he can still change so that's why I need to find him."

Tao didn't argue with Mako again because he trusted him, "Okay. If that's what you want than I'll allow it."

"Just be careful, okay.", Taya added.

"Sure thing Taya and thank you both."

They all shared a smile then Taya clapped her hands together to cut the silence. "Since that's all said and done, let's eat. Besides you two are going to need to regain all of your strength if your going to work the security shift at the Republic City Foundation festival tomorrow night." Mako and Tao smiled and obeyed her words, continuing to eat the rest of their food.
