Chapter 9: Explanations and Choices

Rose P.O.V

"Why! What possible reason could she have for sending them here?"

"(sigh) very well but it will take some time to explain" said Yukari. She then sat down next to mom and me at the table.

"It all started when I first found you. Remember how I told you about you being the source of a magical disturbance in there world. Well after I left you with reimu. i went to a couple of the residents here and asked them if they could take a look at something for me. Naturally I knew that once you got settled in reimu would want to take you all around gensokyo and make your presence known. You see the problem I found was with your soul" yukari said.

"My soul? What do you mean is there something wrong with it?"I asked

"Yes and no. you see after I talked with Erin, Yuyuko and Sikieiki we all came up with the same conclusion that you have another soul attached to yours." Yukari said.

"What! Are you sure? How is that even possible?" said mom.

"Apparently so, now normally we could have just removed the extra soul but because of the trauma you suffered in the past the extra soul has worked its way deeply into your mind. Not to mention your age at the time was also a big problem. If we had still decided to go through with removing the extra soul I would have cost you your life, even now it still is a high risk. It's a horcrux, Am I correct?" she said as she looked over towards our unwelcome visitors.

"Yes I am afraid so" said Dumbledore.

"Well what's a horcrux? Asked Ron.

"A horcrux is a very powerful object that a dark witch or wizard has hidden a fragment of their soul into in order to gain immortality but I never thought it could be done on a living person" said bill.

"We didn't either. It's only thanks to the combined efforts of Patchouli and Alice we have come up with a solution to fix that issue" said yukari.

"Wow! Ok so what does this have to do with them?" I asked

"I believe that the person they are fighting the war with is the person responsible for making you their horcrux. This person will have continued to track you down until he has found you. Remilia saw that you would have to face him sooner or later and the situation would go one of 2 ways no matter what. So I went for the option that was less bloody and less stressful for gensokyo. Still I wanted to insure your safety while still giving you a choice. So invited them here so I could get all the information I can" she said.

"Wait if wanted us here then why did you give the information to the enemy" said moody as the other nodded in agreement.

"Because they were easier to find than you. I figured that you would be keeping tabs on your enemy and in doing so you would find out about rose and somehow intervene. Besides even with that little trick I gave you, I would still need to give you permission to cross through the barrier. So she was never in any real danger from him. "Said yukari.

"So what you just go around manipulating people at will to fit your needs "shouted James.

"It may seem harsh to you but my main duty is to protect gensokyo and its denizens. That includes rose" yukari said as she patted me on the head.

"So what happens now" I asked.

"Everything is still up to you dear. If you chose to fight him then you have all of gensokyo's support but if chose not to fight. Well… all of us would still support you but do keep in mind that there are other lives at stake" replied yukari.

"I understand that there are people who are depending in me but I just don't know what to do?" I said.

"Why don't you sleep on it for now. Your friend will be here with any second now for your checkup. In the meantime I have to get going something I saw in your home world bothered me but I cant seem to recall exactly what it was. Remember don't let anyone pressure into anything just do what your heart and mind tell you. Well that's all for now good bye everyone I'm sure we will meet again. Said yukari as she disappeared back into her gap.

Just then the door opened and Chikage ran through. " Miss Reimu I brought the doctor as promised" she looks toward me and says "oh ro-chan thank goodness that your okay. I was really worried. I swear we didn't know who they were if we had we wouldn't have lead them to you".

"I know Chikage and its ok really. Also hello Dr. Eirin how are you? I asked.

Just then a woman walked through the door she was tall and had gray eyes with long silver hair in a braid down her back. She wore a red and blue dress with star patters on them and what appeared to be nurse's cap on her head. She slightly walked into the room.

"I was doing just fine in fact I was just about to sit down to dinner when Chikage told me what happed so we rushed over. By the way what are you doing up you should be resting right now" she said.

"I know im sorry something important came up and…" I said trailing off.

"Okay I get it now come into the next room so I can check you out ok" she said

"Yes mam" I replied. The two of us then excused ourselves and left the room.

P.O.V Reimu's

"Great so rose will come back home with us and". Lilly said

"Hold on!" I said cutting her off. "If you remember correctly rose never said that she was going back and even if she did its not like she would stay there after she takes care or your lord moldywart" I continued.

"Well why not were her family. Her rightful family and as such she would rightfully be with us" replied James as most others nodded in agreement.

"Do you mean to say that if rose chooses to go with us you would stop her because if so let me remind you that there are lives at stake" said albus.

"that's not it at all, if she chooses to go there to help you out then I would fully support her but do you honestly expect her to stay with you after what you put her through. Think about here she has a family and friends who loves her unconditionally. You think she is just going to come back because you realized that it was her help you needed and not your sons. Before you say anything yes there maybe a few of you who are kinda sorry but that doesn't change what you did. If you know the full extent of her suffering in that house you wouldn't be asking for her help. Also ask your selves this if your son david was still the chosen one and not her would you all even be here right now? I said as I looked at them.

The room went completely silent. "Well at least they all have the decency to look a little ashamed of themselves. Crap and now it's too late to send them back to the human village. Even Chikage won't be able to protect them with all those human eating youkai so active at night". "Oh it sounds like Eirin is coming back".

Rose P.O.V

"Thanks for coming over and sorry for ruining your dinner"

"It's no problem anything for my favorite patient. So things seem a little off in there is everything ok? She asked.

"Well its…Dr. Eirin if you had to choose between helping people who hurt you badly protect innocent people or not helping innocent people because your mad at the asking for help what would you do? I asked.

"That's a tuff one kid. Let me guess it has something to do with your past family and those people in the other room? She asked. I nodded yes back to her and she continued.

"First off breathe so I can check your heart rate. Second I don't really know it's a really tuff choice to make but what's more important is that you give both sides careful consideration and do what you believe is right. Besides it doesn't matter what you choose you have some of the most powerful in gensokyo willing to fight for you" she replied.

"Well that wasn't much help I have heard that three times already but thanks' for the advice. So how am i?

"You should be just fine just keep taking you medication and relax in the mean time I will give you some sleeping pills just in case" she said as she handed them to me.

"Thanks I think I will use them now. Could you tell my mom? I'm not really feeling all that up to eating right now.

"no problem now get some rest and I will see you around hopefully not as patient. Goodnight! Oh and p.s you might want to talk to your girlfriend about this. I know she is off in her own little world but she did give you access to it if you needed her" she said as she walked out the room.

"That's a good idea! Talking to Yuuka will help". "Although I hope I get a better answer than let them die or something like the last time".

I took my pills and off to Mugenkan I went.

P.O.V Reimu's

"so Erin is she okay?"

"Yes her heart rate was a little higher than normal but its nothing to worry about. As long as she has her pills she should be fine. By the way I gave her a pill for sleeping tonight just in case but she said that she was going to take it now because she isn't very hungry" replied Eirin.

"That's good news at least. What do I owe you?"

"Nonsense you don't owe me anything but if it makes you feel better how about owing me a favor? She said.

"As long as the favor doesn't threaten gensokyo then sure why not."

"Excellent! Good night everyone" she said as she left.

"Look its late why don't we all get some sleep. You all can stay here for the night. We have plenty of room. As for you Chikage why don't you head back?

"Ok Miss reimu I will be back in the morning to check on rose. Good night everyone!" Chikage said as she left.

"Why did you let that child go out their when its so dark out? Asked McGonagall

"Because despite the dangers of being out side at night I'm very confident in her abilities on protecting herself. If I wasn't so unsure about your abilities I would send you all back with her. I won't put her in danger because you don't know how to handle the residents here. Now let's go I will help show you to you rooms."

As everyone slowly started to get up I called out "hay suika! Suika! Where are you? I gave up on asking her for help and just showed them all too where they would sleep. Later as I walked back to my room I heard a faint snoring sound. I followed it a little and found her sleeping on my bed.

"I'm too tired to move her I think I will just go to sleep." Was her last thought before she went to sleep.

Little that reimu knew while she was sleeping soundly others were plotting something drastic.
