Author Note: I don't know what it was but I managed to finished both NCIS and NCIS:LA new chapters before the end of each episode. I hope to the same tonight's chapter. I was really excited to actual share my thoughts about this chapter at the end of this chapter. I hope that you like this.

Chapter ten: Ho'onani Makuakane

That morning: Steve's house

Steve was about to leave for memorial when he decided to call Kono and make sure that she was okay. She did not answer her phone so he figure that she was on the road.

"Babe, it's me. Call me back when you get this. I love you and be safe." Steve said as he left a message for her to listen later.

Pearl Harbor: Missouri Battleship

Steve and Catherine were watching the man speak about how many people's lives were changed. They were walking back to Steve's truck when Steve saw a man holding a gun and so he jumped over the railing to stop the man. They took the man back to headquarters to find out what is going on after the man said that the guy committed murder.

"Steve, can we talk outside?" Danny asked his friend.

"Sure." Steve said to his partner in response.

"I don't know if we should believe this guy about what happen to his dad." Danny responded to his friend.

"We need to give it the respect because this could be unsolved case that we could actually find out what happen that day." Steve responded to him. They walked back into the room to find out what happen that day and what happen after Pearl Harbor.

Chin's office

Chin decided to prep Steve on the news of what happen to David's family while Danny had went to find out what happen to David. After they finished questioning David, Steve decided to take Catherine to find out what the man who accuse of being the murder.

Headquarters

Steve was about to filled in Danny of what they learned when they were questioning the other guy when Steve's cell phone started to ring. He noticed that it was Kono calling him back.

"I will be back in a minute." Steve said to his friend as he walked into Danny's office. He answered the phone right before it went to voicemail. "hey"

"Hey babe. I saw that you call and left me that lovely message this morning." She reminded him of his phone call this morning.

"yes, I wanted to make sure that you were okay." He responded to his wife. "We have a case right about Pearl Harbor now."

"and how is it going?" She asked her husband.

"It's really hard." He said back to her. "Hey, I need to get back to work."

"Alright." She responded back to her husband. "I love you."

"I love you too." He said as he hanged up the phone.

Chin saw his friend in Danny's office and wanted to know what's going on with the case.

"hey what's going on with the case?" Chin asked his friend. "You know that we can't keep David here."

"Yes I know. I know what we can do. Catherine, will you come with me to drop David off?" Steve asked their teammate. After they dropped him off, Danny picked him up and headed to find where Chin was at. They now had to find where the incident was.

Charlie's office

Steve and Danny walked into the office about an hour after dropping off the evidence. They were surprise to find out that the last part of the evidence had been ripped off and now they find out where it was. Charlie pulled Steve aside to asked about Kono.

"Hey how's Kono doing?" Charlie asked his friend.

"She's good as far as I know." Steve responded to his friend.

Steve's house

Steve was looking at the photos of his grandfather and he could not believe it. He was happy to know that his grandfather had served in this war. He had fought for the freedom. He did not hear when Mary and Joan came walking into the room.

"hey, what are you doing?" She asked her brother.

"I am looking through grandpa's trunk here and see if I could find anything that could me on this case that we are doing." Steve revealed to his sister. Steve's cell phone started to ring and it was headquarters. They decided to have him relived what happen on that day.

McGarrett's house

Steve wanted to be able to looked though his grandfather's stuff before it was too late to forget what happen to his grandfather. He was thankful for his country and how they found the cover up. Steve was able to tell his children if he ever has children with his wife, what he was able to do for someone who was affected badly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Steve heard his cell phone starting to ring. He looked at the phone id to find that it was Kono calling him.

"Hey, you. I was just thinking about you." Steve revealed to his wife as he answer the phone.

"I am coming home soon." She said to him.

"Did you find Adam?" Steve asked his wife.

"Not yet but I am really close." She revealed to him. "I am going to bed."

"me too. Be safe please." He begged his wife.

"I will." She said to her husband.

Author's response to the show: The whole show was really emotional for me. I felt so bad for the people who were Japans in our country. I don't know if that really happen since they don't explain what happen when you visit the island or Pearl Harbor. I really wish that they did. I thought that it was wonderful to see that Steve's grandfather was there in Pearl Harbor. I really wish that Kono would be back soon. I am glad to see how the writers handle this history event. I think that I am going to cry. That's so awesome that Steve's grandfather was throwing the ball with the man.
