Heyo, there, friends! I don't have much to say today, so…
Disclaimer: LEGEND OF KORRA doesn't belong to me. I don't know why I capitalized that…
The next day found me at Korra's house, standing with Unalaq and Korra, watching her parents be taken away by the police. "You're making a mistake," Korra told her uncle, turning to him angrily as the van started to drive off.
"I wish it hadn't come to this," Unalaq replied, turning to Korra, his hands behind his back civilly. "But your parents held meetings with the rebels right here in their home."
"I can't believe you're doing this to your own family," Korra growled, clenching her fists.
"Rest assured, I've appointed Judge Hotah to oversee the trial," Unalaq said. "He is the most fair and honorable man I know."
"Uncle, my parents had nothing to do with the men who attacked you," Korra insisted.
"I'm sure you're right, so we should have nothing to worry about. "
"I hope so…" Korra said, turning on her heel to go back inside.
"And then there were two," I said, turning to Unalaq. "Hey, uh, sir, do you know where your children are?"
"They're searching for Varrick," he replied. "I believe they're checking that probending rink now. You should go find them."
"Oh…kay?" I replied, heading off to find them. I usually don't listen to people who tell me what to do, but I don't really want to be around that guy any more than I have to. Add that to the fact that I've really grown fond of those two, despite that creepy dream I had last night.
"Hey~ Eska, Desna," I greeted, walking over to them and their guards. "What a coincidence I would run into you here-"
"Father told you to come here, didn't he?" Eska interrupted.
"Yup," I replied, squeezing in between them. "You know, I had the weirdest dream last night. It was about Desna, and your father was a unicorn and I was being attacked by otter-penguins and…never mind."
They remained silent, sharing a look with each other. "So...where are we headed now?"
"Varrick's place of residence as per our father's instructions," Desna replied. And we were off! After a few minutes, we were walking into the building. Eska turned to one of the guards and commanded that he check for Varrick on the ground floor while we checked upstairs.
We walked into one room, and one of the guards rang a gong. Bolin made this weird noise and shot up from the couch, Pabu jumping off of him before Bolin stood up fully. "I wasn't hiding," he said, holding up his hands. "Hey~ Hey-hey~ Hey~"
"I'm not on the hunt for you…" Eska replied. "Currently."
I nodded, linking my arm with Desna's as the guards spanned the room, searching for him. "We search for Varrick," Desna added. "Our father wishes him to stand trial."
"Well…what did he do?" Asami asked, standing beside Bolin.
"He is a traitor to the Water Tribe," Eska replied, glaring at the beauteous female standing next to her turtle duck. "Along with our aunt and uncle."
"What?" Asami replied, in a state of shock.
"Korra's parents were arrested?" Mako asked, his stupid red scarf fluttering as he stepped forward.
"Yes, your powers of deduction are impressive," Desna replied, sounding sarcastic while looking sorrowful at his blatant stupidity.
"Yeah, he's a cop," Bolin replied, pointing to Mako proudly.
"Varrick's not here," one of the guards said.
"Very well, Desna, let us continue our search elsewhere," Eska replied. We simultaneously turned around and started to leave when Eska turned back around. "Boyfriend, bow to me when I exit," she commanded, glaring at him.
"Yes, yes, my sweet koala-otter," Bolin replied, getting onto the ground.
"You are so cute when you grovel," she noted affectionately.
"So…where to now, friends?" I asked.
"Now we search his immense mobile collection to see if he ran after the miserable failure that was his plan," Desna replied. "At least that's what our father told us."
"Oh…kay, then…"
… … … … … …
That same afternoon, I was sitting in between Desna and Eska in the court room. I was watching Eska glare at Asami, who Bolin just sat next to. "Right? That girl," I whispered to her. "Bolin doesn't like her though because she and Mako dated, but then Mako cheated on her with Korra and then they broke up."
"I didn't implore you to explain that female's relationship history," Eska replied, turning to face forward.
"Well, I caught your glare, and I figured that you'd be glad to know that Bolin really doesn't like her," I shrugged, throwing my arm over her shoulder. "She's just part of Team Avatar, and both their relationships were ruined because of Korra."
There were three loud bangs, silencing everyone in the room. "This trial will now come to order," a man announced. "Judge Hotah now residing."
Unalaq was asked to testify and he stood up, standing in front of the judge and the accused. "I was asleep in my chambers when the rebels attacked. They overpowered me, and the next thing I remember is waking up the snow after Avatar Korra had saved me."
After Unalaq was Korra. "According to Unalaq's testimony," the judge said. "You attended a meeting where Varrick tried to incite a civil war. Is that true?"
"Yes," Korra bowed her head.
"And these men present at the meeting?"
"Well…yes, but-"
"Where exactly did this meeting take place?"
"Objection!" Bolin announced, standing up.
"Quiet down over there!" Bolin sat down quietly. "I'll ask you one more time, where did the meeting happen?"
"…My parents' house…"
"And who led this meeting?"
"Your honor, if I may," Bolin began, standing up again.
"May what?" the judge growled.
"May…I declare a mistrial?"
"Sit down! Varrick and your father led the meeting, didn't they?"
"My parents are innocent!" Korra declared.
"I've heard all I need to," the judge said. "I'll return shortly with my decision."
After the judge left the room, people stood up and started chatting idly. "I'm going to stretch my lower appendages," Eska declared, standing up. "I'll be in the hallway if you seem to need me."
I nodded, turning to Desna, only to find him across the room, talking to his father. "Oh…" I turned back around, trying to find Eska. I didn't see her, but I did see Bolin, and decided to go out in that hallway…from the other exit. "Heh, I'm so a ninja," I muttered, walking into the hallway. "Oh, there's no one here…" I pouted. "Oh, well, guess I'll have to bother Desna…"
Luckily Desna was finished talking to his dad and was sitting back in the seat. I plopped down next to him, throwing my arm over his shoulder. "Hey~ Dessy-Bear!" I greeted.
"Why do you constantly insist on holding me as a form of greeting? A simple hello would suffice."
"Hello is what boring people who don't really want to talk to you do, what I do expresses my undying love for you."
"That is quite creepy," he replied. "If I may inform you, you cannot win my affections as easily as Bolin has won my sister's."
"That's okay, you'll warm up to me," I grinned, noticing a shadow come over us. I looked up, coming face to face with Eska.
"You'll come with me," she said, prying me away from Desna.
"Oh, okay," I replied, watching as Desna stood and followed us out of the court room. "Where are we going?"
"We are going to shop," she replied, dragging me to one of those stores that sell all sorts of formal things. She paused. "Desna, go get fitted for formal wear. Incorporate red."
"Very well," Desna replied, walking off.
"Now, come with me, Kalika," Eska said, dragging me to a rack of red dresses. She picked one up, holding it to me. "Red is a nice color…" she thought out loud. "It causes a certain feeling of frivolity in my core. It'll be one of the wedding's colors along with blue. You will wear red."
"What?" I asked, holding the dress to my body.
"Yes, although you are a peculiar person and I find it difficult to grasp the purpose of your existence, you are dearest to me. Excluding Desna, my father, and my precious Bolin, of course."
"Wait…wedding?" I asked.
"Yes, Bolin and I agreed on it earlier this day," she said, replacing the dress on the rack and picking up a different one.
"Are…you sure he agreed?" I questioned.
"Of course. Why wouldn't he? He even expressed his joy through tears."
"Oh…"
"Now, onto more urgent matters," she held up two dresses. "I feel red will accentuate your body, and I wish for you to wear a long dress, but I feel a dress that is naturally long will make you appear even shorter than you already are…"
"I hope red looks good on me," I bit my lip.
"No, all these dressing are not up to par with my expectations," she glared. "You and Desna will wear blue…and green."
"Okay…"
"Go inform him," she said. I nodded, walking to the back of the store. "Please." I turned around, staring at her. She faced me, offering a small smile.
"No problem," I nodded, smiling widely. "Oh, Dessy-Wessy-Bear!" I called when he came into view.
"What is it that you need from me, Kalika?"
"Eska told me to tell you that because all the red dresses are ugly that she's going to have us wear blue and green," I explained.
He nodded. "I hypothesized that she would change her mind," he shrugged, turning to the guy helping him. "I no longer have use of the red. I am now in need of blue and green."
The man glared, throwing the tux on the ground and storming off into the back room to find something that would fit Desna's needs. "I think he's mad," I said. "Are you going to do anything special with your hair?"
"Whatever is Eska's whim," he replied, turning to a rack to search for a coat.
I pouted, backing up. "Well, I'm just going to head back over to Eska…"
"As you should."
"…Good bye…"
"Farewell."
"Why do you hate me?" I demanded, stamping my foot. Desna turned around to stare at me. "Don't give me that shocked glance! It's not like you can't know why you act like that towards me! You tolerate Bolin, and talk to Mako, and you always act like being around me is so trying! You-"
He pressed his cold lips to my cheek before stepping back and turning around, talking to the guy who just came back. I stared at him, trying to comprehend what just happened.
He turned back around, smirking. "You should return to Eska's side before she has a conniption."
"Uh…yeah, you're right," I nodded, waving as I walked back to the front of the store. "Hey, Eska," I said, being greeted by a dress hitting me in the face. "Wha…"
"Try this one," she said, pulling me to the dressing rooms and following me into the room.
"Uh…"
"Go on," she insisted. "I need to make sure it fits without struggle."
I nodded, stripping down and putting the dress on, struggling to zip it. "Eska, can you…?" but she was already doing the zipper. "Thanks."
"It looks almost flawless," she inspected. "Of course you'll need a blue sweater that would match the green hue of the dress, and blue shoes to match the sweater because we all have the knowledge that you can't deal with this type of climate."
"Aw, shucks…almost flawless, you're so nice to me," I grinned.
"Hurry and take it off, we're pressed for time," Eska said. "And we still need to get you the sweater, the shoes. I still need my dress. Bolin has been taken care of…"
"How does your father feel about the wedding?" I asked, hanging the dress back on the hanger.
"I'm sure he'll be delighted for this is joyous news. I suppose I could use my mother's wedding attire, I keep it in my wardrobe back at our current place of residence…"
There you are, my lovelies! I tried to finish this yesterday, but I wasn't feeling up to par, so I slept most of the day. I guess the point is I finished it. The second part was probably my favorite to write this time around!
Thanks for reviews, follows, and favorites! (No problem, Vee!)
Loves and bone-crushing hugs, minions! (And feel free to enjoy the last of the Harry Potter weekend, going on right now on ABC Family!)
