~EPILOUGE~
"Come on, fratello!" Feliciano called from outside the house.
"Jeeze! I'm coming!" Romano tried to smooth down his stray curl one last time to no avail.
Oh well. He ran out the door in his suit and tie.
"Look how much you've grown!" Feliciano exclaimed hugging his brother. "We are so old now. It seems like yesterday we were in high school.
"Yeah, well we are only 22, Feli. That's still pretty young." Lovino rolled his eyes, trying to avoid the fact he now had to look up at his brother. "So, where are we going?" he asked as they got into the car. He saw Feliciano slide into the driver's seat and started to sweat nervously. His brother wasn't the best driver.
"Grenouille."
"What?"
"Haven't you heard? That's the name of Francis' new restaurant. He makes the best food!" Feliciano bounced up and down in his seat as they drove, causing Lovino to clutch his seat in fright.
"Better than us?" Lovino smirked.
"No." Feliciano said, pokerfaced. They drove for a few minutes before Lovino broke the silence.
"So… How's Ludwig?" Lovino twisted his face up as if he just got a whiff of bad B.O. Feliciano giggled.
"Oh, he's fine. I was really happy when we finally were allowed to marry. Our state seemed to stop out-lawing gay marriage at the perfect time!"
"Yeah, that is great."
"You thinking about marrying Antonio?" Feli's smile widened, and then shrank as he tried to hide it.
"No comment." Lovino said blushing.
"Wow, you didn't punch me that time! Oh! We're here!" They got out of the car and entered to see a whole table reserved for them. The table had 21 seats.
"What the-?" Lovino never got to finish off his sentence with his signature curse. He was cut off by a loud, extremely irritating voice.
"Ohmygosh! This place is, like, soooooo nice! Thanks for inviting us Feli!" Felix glomped his friend, leaving Toris to stand awkwardly next to the Italian's brother.
"Yeah, it was really sweet of you!" Mei chimed in. Yao, Ivan, Kiku, and Katyusha all were behind her, grinning ear to ear.
"Feli..." Lovino looked ready to murder his brother, when he was suddenly tackled.
"Loviiiiiiii!"
"God damn it, not you."
"You know you love me." Antonio kissed his boyfriend on the nose before letting him go and sitting in a chair. Lovino's mood, Feliciano noticed, became much better after that.
"Feliciano."
"Si, fratello?"
"Why? Just, why?" The dinner had only started 15 minutes ago but already the noise had caused everyone to leave the restaurant except them. Francis didn't seem to even mind. He was sitting at the end of the table next to Arthur and Elizabeta.
"She is the most beautiful and smart and sweet and perfect woman in the world!" Francis bragged to them.
"This 'Joan' sounds so sweet, dear! I have to meet her some time!" Eliza gushed.
"Oui, but of course!"
"I'm shocked you and Michelle didn't work out." Arthur butt in, smirking.
"Well, not everyone can marry their high school love." Francis retorted. "Though it seems many of you have!" he laughed. Arthur flipped him off and Alfred, hearing the comment, laughed before pecking Arthur on the cheek.
"What is up with Mikkel and the gang?" Michelle asked at the end of the table to Ivan.
"Mikkel and Lukas went to collage in Norway after High School, and Tino, Berwald, and Emil followed." He smiled. "I heard that MiLukas and BerIno got married." Ivan loved using the ship names Elizabeta made. It made him feel 'hip'.
"And how about Emil?" Natalia enquired.
"Heard he met this guy from Hong Kong. He doesn't like to talk about it, but Lukas spilled the beans. Proud daddy penguin, that one!" Katyusha smiled. "Bella and Tim went to visit them. That's why they all aren't here. Also, Wy and Peter got married and live in this place called Sealand. Can you believe it?"
"Sealand?" Kiku's eyes widened slightly. "Never heard of it."
"That's BS, Kat!" Mei crowed.
"Is not!" Katyusha protested, tearing up a bit. Kiku patted her back and she stuffed her face into his chest. Still close after all those years. Mei had also seemed to join their friend group as well. Mei seemed a tad jealous of them being so close at times, Eliza noticed, but she couldn't tell of whom.
Weird OT3. She thought. She shrugged and grabbed Roderich's hand from under the table, causing him to blush.
Four years married and he's still always so shy, she thought, grinning.
"Yao! Why are you talking to that creepy thing?" Ivan cried, whacking a doll placed in a chair.
"Ivan, shhhh! You'll hurt Shinatty-Chang's feelings!" Yao hugged the doll defensively.
"They're such a cute couple. Hard to believe that Ivan hasn't gotten the guts to propose yet." Elizabeta sighed.
"Did you bring that doll here?" Roderich asked, slightly scared.
"No." Eliza answered, a bit nervous as well but choosing to ignore it. She decided to focus on Hercules and Sadiq, who, after all these years, still managed to get on each other's nerves. They were arguing, but they always stole glances at each other's lips while yelling so close at each other. Elizabeta's grin widened as she noticed. They'll come around; She just knew it.
"What did you order, Matt?" Gilbert asked his husband from the other side of the table, "Gimme a bite
"Okay."
"Mmm, that's good! What is it?"
"Duck." Gilbert let out a shriek that rang through the neighbourhood, followed by Matthew laughing.
"Geeze…" Michelle winced at the noise as she covered her ears. "So are you two married now?" She asked Felix.
"You, like, won't believe this, but no! Toris hasn't asked yet!" Felix whispered into Michelle's ear.
"Hey, what are you guys talking about?" Toris and Natalia sat down after getting seconds from the buffet. Michelle whispered into Natalia's ears what Felix told her, and Natalia slapped Toris.
"Ow! What did I do to deserve that?"
"You better propose soon or I'll haunt your dreams." She half-joked, causing Michelle to laugh in the background. Toris didn't think it was funny.
"I'm just waiting till our anniversary Nat. It's in a month." He murmured to her. Natalia squealed.
"So, like, are you two dating?" Felix pointed to Michelle and Natalia, who were sitting awfully close to each other. They turned bright red.
"N-no! We are just friends! Jeeze, Felix!" They over-lapped protests as they tried to cover their red faces. Toris sent Felix a sly smile. They knew that they'd have to do a little matchmaking of their own in the future.
"Can I have your attention please?" They heard a clink of glass at the far side of the table. Antonio gave them a smile as they quieted down. "I hope you all enjoyed your food, but you all know why we are here tonight." Everyone nodded except Lovino.
"Um, excuse me bastard. Does everyone here know something I don't?" Lovino griped. Antonio turned to him and his grin widened.
"Well you see," Antonio got on his knee and took out a box. "I wanted all our friends here for this. They were all a huge part of us getting together so I wanted them to be here when I asked," He opened the box to reveal a ring, "Will you marry me Lovi?"
For a moment, it was so silent; you could here a pin drop on the carpeted floor.
"Of course I will you fucking bastard!" Lovino choked down tears as he yanked Antonio into a kiss. Everyone cheered, and Elizabeta and Kiku were screeching inhumanly. It took several minutes for everyone to calm down. The dinner was back to it's moderately noisy, but friendly, atmosphere.
"Sorry," They heard the clinking of glass once again, and turned to where Elizabeta was sitting. "Hi. I just wanted to say a few words before people start to leave." She straightened her hair, which now had grey strands in it, though she was only in her thirties. She then cleared her throat before beginning.
"I remember seeing you all as teenagers. You all came into my class, some I knew before, others I didn't, but you all were there. You all, at first, were part of an experiment; I just wanted to see if I could turn my life into a book of some sort and fangirl over real life people. But, over time, that changed. Yes, I still over-joy in how cute you guys are as couples, and hope you all have lots of sex after this dinner!"
"Eliza…" Roderich warned.
"Sorry. But, you all became more than just characters. You became people I care about, people who taught me a thing or two in friendship-" she squeezed Kiku's hand, "- and love." She squeezed Roderich's hand at looked at all of them. "We may never see each other again, or we may see each other tomorrow. Who knows? But one thing is for certain: I am so thankful-" her voice cracked as a tear rolled down her cheek, "I am so thankful to have been in this crazy story with you all." She sat down and covered her hot and wet face. Everyone began to surround her and engulf her into a hug, and before long was clumped together. They sat there, some crying, others smiling like idiots, and a few slightly frightened that Shinatty-Chang somehow became involved in the hug. They knew they would never forget each other.
