Guess who's back, back again...kind of.

I was editing Chapter 10 because I noticed so much was wrong with it, and then, since I haven't been here in like 3 years, I accidentally deleted the entire chapter instead of clicking on that 'replace content' thing. Such a me thing to do!

I've officially graduated uni and am now working full time, so even though my weekdays are super busy, my weekends are free (for the most part) and I decided to try and get back into writing again :) It's gonna take me while to get my ideas back together again for all my stories, but I will try!

I know most of you probably hate me for disappearing for so long but I still hope you can forgive me! I'm currently working on Chapter 3 of Bittersweet and Chapter 11 of this story but I'm at a complete loss of where to go with Washed Up Popstars so no idea when I'll finally update it. Since you've waited like 3 years, I really hope you won't mind waiting a little longer!

Anyways, yeah...not much of a change with this chapter besides fixing up typos and grammatical errors, so unless you want to refresh your memories or have only recently started reading this story and stumbled across this random AF author's note before making it to chapter 10, there isn't much point in actually reading it.

But for everyone who does read it anyway, I hope you enjoy! :D

"Leaf! What is wrong with you?" Dawn glared at her twin in disbelief

"Hey, he's the one that cheated." The brunette defended herself, but after seeing her sister's expression she sighed in defeat "Fine, I'm sorry, but I just got so angry…I kind of lost control."

"You need to be more careful, you could've totally exposed us!"

"And he needs to stop cheating."

"Ugh!" The bluenette threw her arms up in frustration "When did I become the mature one?"

"You didn't." She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest "I'm still way more mature than you."

"You wish." Dawn muttered under her breath, resulting in a playful shove from the other girl. She sighed and leaned against the brick wall next to the female change rooms "What's taking those two so long?"

"No idea," Leaf shrugged before smiling lightly "They're really sweet, by the way. I'm so glad that you made friends with them and not anyone else."

"Yeah," The bluenette nodded "I'm living with May so becoming friends with her was inevitable." A thought then struck her "Speaking of which, where are you staying?"

"Oh, right, I almost forgot!" She snapped her fingers as she remembered "Mother booked me into a penthouse suite at a hotel nearby. She said to tell you to move in there with me instead of staying with your host family."

"What? No way…" Her sapphire eyes stared in confusion "I'm having so much fun staying with May, why would I move to a penthouse suite in a hotel?"

"Because it's the closest thing here that resembles our rooms back home and to keep me company." Leaf replied in a 'duh' tone.

"But-"

"Hey guys!" May interrupted the two sisters "Sorry we took so long, Misty's uniform got stuck the zipper of her bag so she has to try get it out without tearing it."

"No problem." Dawn smiled as Misty also walked out of the change room just as the bell rang.

"We have History next." The redhead spoke before looking at Leaf "What do you have?"

"Umm…" The darker brunette pulled out her diary out of her bag and pointed to the subject code 'HIS100' "Whatever that means."

"That's History, like us." May explained "But we don't have any spare seats in our class, so you must be next door." She looked at the room number to confirm and nodded "Yeah, you're next door, in Barry's class. It's too bad he's not here."

"Is he one of your friends?"

"Yeah," Misty nodded "He's from Sinnoh, just like you. He's over there right now actually, for his uncle's funeral. He should be back in a couple of weeks though."

"Well, hopefully the subject won't be boring."

"Don't worry, Leaf," Dawn smirked at her sister "We were learning about fairies last week in the topic of mythology."

"Fairies?" She raised an eyebrow and a similar smirk grew on her lips "Sounds interesting."

"Alright, we should get going before Professor Rowan yells at us for being late." May stated before looking at the fellow brunette "You have Professor Birch. You're so lucky, because he's way more lenient."

"I still wish I was with you guys, though." She shrugged as they began to walk towards their classes "Oh well, it's just one period."

"Mhm," Dawn nodded "Then lunch and then two more periods left." Her eyes widened a fraction and then fell in dismay "We all have to stay afterschool, though." She gestured to the other girls and herself "We got in trouble for something we did yesterday and we have after-school jobs to do."

"Yeah," Misty continued "Paul and I have to teach the eleventh graders Extension English." She rolled her eyes irritably "Drew and Gary are going to be helping Mrs Bertha grade some multiple choice papers," she then looked at the bluenette "Dawn and Ash have to clean up the MPC because it's all muddy and gross."

"And I have to help the ladies in the front office all by myself." May explained "We won't be done till at least four."

"Oh…" Leaf trailed off before smiling at the fellow brunette "How about I help you in the front office, then?" she suggested "If all of you are in trouble, then I have no one to be with and you're all alone, so I might as well help you."

"Aww, thank you!" The lighter brunette said gratefully "That's so sweet!"

"No problem."

"That might not be a problem," Misty spoke up "But being late for class will be, so we'd better hurry up."

"Oh crap, Rowan's gonna rage at us." May rolled her eyes "He's way too strict."

"Well, we're here now, at least." Dawn gestured to the room in front of them "If he asks, we'll just say that we were showing Leaf to her room. I'm pretty sure he'll let it slide with that excuse."

With that, the three split up from Leaf as they walked into their respective classroom, wishing the darker brunette good luck with her class.

As soon as they entered the class, Rowan looked up from his lesson and glared, but as decided, they used the excuse of helping Leaf get to her class and then took their seats.

"Alright class, as I was saying before we were interrupted," He eyed the girls again "today's lesson will be the last on mythology, after that we will be moving on to the history of Kanto."

"Thank god." Dawn whispered under her breath

"That being said," he continued "Today we'll talk about mythological creatures believed to have resided in Kanto."

"Magical beings never resided on Earth." She muttered quietly "They only ever visited." She rolled her eyes as Rowan continued his lesson, not hearing a word of what the bluenette said as she corrected him quietly to herself.

"That was just about the most boring day of school I have ever experienced." Dawn sighed as the final bell rang for the end of school. She exited the drama space with May and Leaf as their Dance class finally ended. So far, they had found out that Leaf was in all of Dawn's classes except Maths, History and, after looking at tomorrow's schedule, she didn't have Art either. Instead, she had Biology with Ash.

"How come we spent the double period doing theory work? I mean, the subject is Dance, shouldn't we be dancing?" Leaf looked at the two girls with a confused expression.

"Normally, we would," May explained "But the MPC is covered with dried up mud from peoples' shoes yesterday when the hailstorm hit so we couldn't use it; and the drama space is too small for all of us to be dancing in."

"Speaking of which, Ash and I have to clean the MPC now, so I'll see you guys later!" The bluenette waved goodbye as she walked in direction of the MPC, silently praying the mess wouldn't be too bad. If it was, with Ash to help her, it hopefully wouldn't take too long to clean.

As she reached the MPC, she saw Ash standing at the entrance, most likely waiting for her before entering. She smiled as she reached him and tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.

"Hey!" Ash greeted before gesturing to the building in front of them "Ready to start cleaning this thing?"

"As ready as I'll ever be…" The bluenette sighed as they opened the doors "It shouldn't be that ba-oh my god." She cut herself off when she saw how dirty it truly was "This is going to take a while."

"Dude…this is going to be the worst afternoon of our lives." Gary groaned as he and Drew made their way towards their English classroom where Bertha was probably already waiting.

"I know, right?" The chartreuse-haired boy nodded "Marking year eleven papers…I'd rather clean the mud off the MPC."

"Anything is better than spending the afternoon with Bertha." He said in a hushed voice as they reached their English classroom where their teacher was already waiting.

"Ah, boys, come in." The older woman ushered the two inside "It's nice of you to offer to help me mark these papers."

"Yeah…offer." Gary muttered under his breath irritably before faking a smile at his English teacher "Our pleasure." He sat down at a table next to Drew and Bertha handed each of them a thick stack of papers and another single paper.

"These are the exams, and this paper has all the answers on it." She explained "All you have to do is check if each answer is correct or not and then give them a mark. It's out of a hundred, so finding the percentage is easy. If they get seventy out of a hundred, then obviously, it's seventy per cent."

"Yep." Gary nodded as if it was obvious

"And after giving them their mark, I want you to write a little bit of feedback. Just a few words." She finished before handing them each a red pen and then going back to her seat so she could mark some papers herself.

"Feedback, eh?" A tiny smirk grew on the brunette's lips "This might not be so bad after all."

"What are you up to?" Drew raised an eyebrow as he watched Gary mark the first paper as quickly as possible. This person had gotten a very low mark of only forty-eight out of a hundred and after Gary finished writing the number, he wrote his comment – making Drew purse his lips to stop from laughing as he read it.

'Aw, so close…but you FAIL! Did you even study for this?'

"Oh god…" The emerald-eyed boy snickered quietly before going back to his own stack of papers. Gary hated the grade below them and so did he – this would be perfect revenge. As he finished marking the first paper, he noted down that they got ninety-seven.

'Nerd. Where's your social life? In the toilet?'

He nudged Gary and showed him, causing both of them to bite their bottom lips to not burst out laughing. They had about a hundred papers each to mark and with each one, whether they got a good grade or not, they found some way to insult the student in their comments. However, they refrained from any cussing for fear of being suspended. A detention they could deal with – suspension…not so much.

It took them about an hour to get through every single paper and once they reached the final ten, they wrote proper comments. Bertha would definitely look at a couple of the papers before she let them go and they couldn't risk her seeing the insulting comments.

The final paper Drew marked got sixty-three so he wrote down the number and wrote a decent comment.

A good attempt, but make sure to read the novel a little more thoroughly next time.

Gary's final paper got a mark of eighty-nine so he put two ticks next to the number and then wrote his comment.

Well done, keep up the good work!

"Okay, we're done!" Gary told Bertha as he and Drew stood up, bringing their stacks of papers to the front desk "Can we leave now?"

"Hmm…" Bertha looked through the first few papers, reading the comments and looking at the marks "Alright, you can go. Thank you for the help."

Gary suppressed a laugh as he and Drew quickly left the classroom "Anytime..."

"You realise we're gonna get our asses kicked tomorrow, right?" Drew questioned while laughing

"Yep, but it is so worth it." The brunette chuckled "God, those year eleven students are so irritating. I really wish I could see their faces tomorrow when they get their papers back."

"Too bad we'll be in our own class at the time, but whatever. That was actually a lot more fun than I expected."

"I know, right?" Gary nodded before gesturing a few feet in front of them "Look, there's Misty and Paul."

True to his words, Misty and Paul were walking in the direction of the front office.

"Hey, Paul!" Drew shouted to grab the boy's attention. The plum-haired boy looked up before nudging Misty and both of them changed direction to walk towards Drew and Gary instead.

"These eleventh graders better not piss me off." Misty stated as she and Paul walked towards the classroom where Extension English was being held.

"Don't worry about it," The plum-haired boy consoled his girlfriend "we can handle them."

As they opened the door to the room, loud chattering and laughter could be heard. The redhead groaned as the two walked into the classroom and towards the teacher's desk. The students, however, failed to acknowledge their presence.

"Okay, everyone," Misty clapped her hands together once "Paul and I are going to be-" she cut herself off and sweat-dropped when she realised that they weren't paying her any attention. "Hello?!" She yelled but was still ignored.

Paul sighed and grabbed a heavy dictionary before dropping it with a loud 'smack' onto the table. The entire class immediately stopped speaking and turned to face the two. "Miss Lenora had to go somewhere so we're going to be teaching your class today." The plum-haired boy explained.

"Why you?" A raven-haired boy raised an eyebrow "Why not an actual teacher?"

"Because we were both ranked at the top of the grade last year when we took Extension English." Misty stated irritably "We know the content so we have to teach you."

"And what makes you think we'll listen to you?" A blonde girl snorted while filing her nails

"What makes you think you'll be able to get away with not listening to us?" Paul countered in a chilling voice that made the girl instantly remove the snobbish expression on her face.

"So, I'm Misty and this is Paul." She gestured to herself and then to Paul before beginning the lesson "Right now you're studying revenge…someone tell me what text you're looking at."

There was silence throughout the entire classroom and Paul slapped a hand to his forehead "Text means what book you're reading."

"We're reading some random play called Medea." A brunette boy answered as he waved a book in the air "It's so lame."

"Medea is not lame." The redhead looked at him in disbelief "It's a perfect example, because she wants revenge on her husband for cheating on her."

"The most important part about Medea," Paul continued "Is the fact that she was so overcome by her desire for revenge, that she took it too far and did some pretty crazy things just to make sure Jason suffered as much as possible – including killing her own children."

"That's stupid." The blonde girl rolled her sky blue eyes "Who the hell kills their own children just to get revenge?"

"Wow, I can already see which people in this class are gonna fail the subject." Misty scoffed "You do realise that if you do good in your exams you'll get scaled up, but if you do bad, you get scaled down for your overall result?"

"You can't piggyback off extension subjects anymore, thinking that they'll scale up your final mark." Paul continued "The school board realised that's what everyone was doing so they changed the system."

"Yeah but we're only in year eleven," The blonde countered "it has no effect on year twelve."

"Year eleven is the foundation for year twelve." Misty rolled her eyes "Whatever, if you don't wanna listen to me then go back to filing your nails and fail this subject – it's not like I care."

"According to Miss Lenora, today you're supposed to read through the play again and write down the main points you find in it that refer to revenge and anything else you can find from it." Paul read off a paper that had been left on the table for them, noticing Misty's irritated expression "So just go do your work."

"We're giving you fifteen minutes," The redhead looked at the class, ignoring their shocked expressions "Then we'll be calling out random people to give us their answers so you better do your work."

"And if we don't?" A petite girl with pink hair and blue eyes questioned "You're not actual teachers so it's not like you can give us detention or something."

"No," The plum-haired boy glared "But we are year twelve students and if you want the rest of your year to suck, go ahead and keep pissing us off."

The students instantly went to work, reading through the play and writing down notes, afraid of being called out when their time was up. Misty sighed and leaned against the table, giving Paul an expression that he understood perfectly – she wanted to punch almost every single student in this class.

The onyx-eyed boy put a hand on her shoulder and gestured to the clock on the wall. There was only another half hour of class left and then their punishment would be over. From the corner of his eye he saw something white heading straight for him and Misty – a paper plane. Rolling his eyes, he didn't even look away from the girl and caught the item in his hand, scrunching it with his fist and then looking up with a glare so deadly that if the term 'looks can kill' were true, every year eleven student in that class would have dropped dead.

"Don't." That one word sent every single student instantly back to their books.

"I swear, right now suspension sounds so much more appealing than this." The redhead sighed

"Relax, it's just another twenty minutes."

"Another twenty minutes of hell." She corrected before taking the scrunched up paper off of him and opening it up. On it was a stick figure drawing of Paul leaning over Misty on a bed in a very provocative position. The redhead rolled her eyes "Wow…so original."

"Alright, who did this?" Paul growled angrily. His and Misty's relationship was something he was very sensitive about and stupid jokes like this really pissed him off. When no one responded, he glared daggers at them "I asked a question…Answer. It."

"Paul, relax." Misty consoled the plum-haired boy "They're just a bunch of immature brats destined to fail in life while we succeed."

"Hey!" A blonde boy with chocolate brown eyes glared "You can't talk about us like that! You're our substitutes, you're supposed to help us not insult us."

"And you're supposed to listen to us, but I don't see that happening…do you?" She snapped back before crossing her arms over her chest "Okay, so tell me, what ideas of revenge did you find in this play?"

"Well…" He hesitated "She killed her own kids to make that Jason guy mad…that's revenge, right?"

"Yes, but it's also something else." She explained "What else is linked to that act she committed?"

"Um…"

"Really?" Paul raised an eyebrow "You seriously can't figure it out?" When there was silence, he groaned and rolled his eyes "Her revenge brought her to insanity."

"Kind of like how I'm about to go insane right now…" Misty muttered under her breath before looking back up at the class. The blonde girl was busily chatting away with the girl next to her "Alright…you, blonde girl – whatever your name is."

"The name's Sierra." She sneered "And this play is pointless and so is Medea. I mean, talk about needing to take a chill pill." With that comment, she went back to talking to her friend.

"Misty…" Paul gave the seething redhead a warning look. Her eyes were blazing and she was absolutely livid with Sierra's attitude. "Come on, calm down."

"Yeah, Misty," Sierra turned back to face her with a smirk "Calm down."

"Shut up you little brat!" Misty yelled angrily and grabbed the scrunched up paper plane before throwing it straight at Sierra, successfully hitting her forehead in the process.

"Oh, em, gee!" The blonde screeched "You so can't do that to us!"

"Oh, em, gee, I so just did." She rolled her eyes before looking at Paul "I'm done trying. Your turn."

"Well since there's less than five minutes left, you can pack up your bags and wait for the bell." Before anyone could cheer, he continued "But, you have to write a minimum of seven hundred words on the different acts of revenge made by Medea and why you think it's justified or not." He smirked as a series of groans erupted from the students "Consider it your punishment for not listening to us."

"We're gonna tell Miss Lenora so that she knows what your work is." Just as the redhead finished speaking, the bell rang for the end of class for extension students "Oh thank god!" she cheered before grabbing her bag and rushing outside with Paul following. "Sweet freedom!"

Paul couldn't help but chuckle slightly as he took her hand and pulled her closer to him "Freedom from them, but not from me." Before she could ask what he meant, he cupped her cheek and pressed his lips to hers in a soft kiss. He could feel her smile as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him a little closer, deepening the kiss. Unfortunately, the need for air became too strong and they pulled away.

"Let's go see if May and Leaf are done." She suggested, taking his hand and leading the way to the front office.

"Paul!" Both teens turned towards the source of the voice to see Drew and Gary waving them over from a short distance away.

"Guess they're done too." The plum-haired boy stated as the two walked over to them "How was marking the papers?" he questioned and raised an eyebrow when he saw the smirks on both boys' faces.

"Let's just say that Bertha's in for quite a surprise tomorrow." Gary bit his bottom lips to stop from laughing

"An angry surprise." Drew clarified before snickering "How was teaching Extension English?"

"Please," Misty rolled her eyes "Don't even go there."

"We had a rough time trying to get through to them." Paul explained "They're a little screwed in the mind."

"The year eleven kids suck." The brunette boy stated before gesturing to the front office "We were just going to see if May and Leaf were done, then we were gonna check on Ash and Dawn because their job would probably take the longest."

"Same here." Paul nodded "Let's go."

The four began walking in the direction of the front office and opened the door to see Leaf reading through a file with a disappointed expression and May looking as though she wasn't surprised at all.

"Sorry for dragging you into this, Leaf." May apologised as both brunettes walked into the front office "You don't have to help me if you don't want."

"It's totally fine," Leaf smiled at the sapphire-eyed girl "I have nothing else to do and Dawn's busy cleaning up that room with Ash. Besides, this way we can get to know each other better."

"That's true," The lighter brunette nodded "Considering how amazing Dawn's personality is, I can't wait to find out what yours is like."

"We're not really that different," Leaf shrugged but before she could continue, a middle-aged woman with blonde hair walked towards them with a strict expression on her face.

"You must be the girls that got in trouble this morning for leaving school early yesterday." Her voice was monotone, making it clear that she couldn't be bothered to deal with them.

"Actually," May corrected "I got in trouble, Leaf just offered to help me so that we can get through it quicker."

"Whatever, come with me." She shrugged and gestured for them to follow till they were behind the counter. She led them towards a shelf that had a large stack of files on the floor next to it. "These are the year twelve student files, I need you to separate them into alphabetical order and stack them on the shelf."

"That's over four-hundred files…" May whined as she kneeled on the floor "I'm so grateful that I don't have to do this alone."

"You're welcome." Leaf giggled, knowing that, that was the fellow brunette's way of thanking her. She kneeled down next to her "Let's separate the names first, then we'll work on the whole alphabetical thing."

"Good idea," She nodded and handed half the pile to the other girl "You do this half and I'll do the other."

Over the next hour, the two worked together, separating the names by only the first letter before working on each individual name and putting them in order on the shelf above them. Through this time, they also began their own conversation, finding out a little more about each other.

"So, Leaf," May spoke as she slid another name onto the shelf "What's the deal with Dawn and Danny?"

"What do you mean?" She paused from the file she was holding and raised an eyebrow at the lighter brunette.

"Well, I've seen him through the phone – and he is so cute – and with the way he talks to Dawn, it really seems like he has a crush on her." Her eyes sparkled as she thought of the boy.

"Danny…crushing on Dawn?" Leaf snorted and held back her laughter "What would make you think that?"

"Well, when she was talking to him on the phone once, I heard him yelling at her for meeting up with her ex-boyfriend and then she told him not to go 'green-eyed' on him."

"Jack." She whispered to herself before rolling her eyes

"Jack?" May looked at her with interest "Is that Dawn's ex-boyfriend's name?"

"Umm…yeah." She inwardly cursed herself, praying that May wouldn't mention this to her sister "His name is Jack and they met when he was called to tutor her in a subject that she was struggling in. Dawn got better at it, and well, they really hit it off." She shrugged, it wasn't a total lie, Jack had been called to tutor her in managing her ice powers.

Ice was a rare ability and Dawn was actually the only ice fairy on Lynphea – well, partially ice. The water part of her was easy to work on because she had teachers at school that could help her with it. After Iris tripped Dawn and caused her to freeze over the entire school, their mother had decided that she really needed help to control them so who else to call but the son of the Frost King?

He was harsh, that she could not deny. In fact, he made the poor bluenette cry once or twice – and made her beyond angry dozens of times. According to him however, it was all part of his training to make her control her emotions because ice was dangerous and if Dawn couldn't keep her emotions in check, she could freeze much more than just the school.

It took time – a long time – but finally Dawn managed to get enough control over her powers to keep them in line and it came time for Jack to leave and return to the cross-dimension on Earth where he resided. As a result, the two had to break up and surprisingly, Dawn was okay with it. She didn't cry even once and Danny was more than happy. He never liked Jack because of his mischievous antics and the two always had some kind of rivalry going on between them. Danny especially hated how harsh Jack was on Dawn and they had gotten into a fight multiple times because of it.

"Aww!" May squealed, snapping Leaf out of her thoughts "That is so cute! A girl falling in love with her tutor! It's like a storybook romance! Or a TV show drama!"

"Not really," she couldn't help but laugh "He's only two years older than her so no serious climactic scene where the parents are all like 'No! you can never be together!'" she attempted to imitate her mother's voice before laughing again.

"Well, getting back to the original topic," May stacked the last file in front of her before looking back at Leaf expectantly "Danny was really angry when he heard that Jack wanted to see Dawn, I heard it in his voice and I heard your voice too so you were there."

"Heard?" The darker brunette smirked "Were you eavesdropping?"

"Don't change the subject!" May stammered before continuing "He was angry that Jack had come to see her, so it just adds to the idea that he likes her. Plus," she laid out her second piece of evidence "I called him once with Dawn's phone and he seemed really eager to talk to her and he said he had to tell her something important."

"That doesn't really mean he likes her…Danny's version of 'important'," she put air-quotes around the word "pretty much just means it's nothing serious…or it does most of the time anyway."

"Well," May glared, not giving up "The first time I met him, he kept going on about Dawn hurrying up and coming home so that she could kiss him and then Dawn giggled and was like 'how about I just kiss you through the phone?'" She imitated the bluenette's voice.

"He only said that-" Leaf paused. Danny had just returned from Andros at that time and she had refused to help him get Lynphean speech back because of what he had done last time. Being pushed into a salt-water pool – since chlorine was not found in her realm due to its negative effects – and having it stuck in her nose for multiple hours, had really annoyed her. So his only other option was Dawn…but May couldn't know that. "He only said that as a joke."

"Sure he did." May rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath as Leaf looked at the last file in her hands with interest.

"This is Gary's file. How come it's so much heavier than the others?"

"Probably because of all the times he's been late, skipped school, had to retake tests and failed, and then been allowed to retake them again till he at least got a pass, since his grandfather funds this school."

Leaf frowned at this and opened the file, reading its contents just as Misty, Paul, Drew and Gary walked through the door.

"Hey Leaf," The brunette looked up at the sound of her name and saw that Gary had called out to her "What are you reading?"

"Your file." She answered simply before closing it and handing it to May so she could place it in its correct spot "I didn't know you liked to skip school and your classes so much." She looked at him questioningly "Why do you do it?"

"I dunno." He placed his hands in his pockets and shrugged before casually leaning against the doorframe. "I guess it's just too boring for me to really bother paying attention, so why go in the first place?"

"That's a horrible thought." She did her best not to glare "If you don't even bother to attend school, how are you going to learn anything? and how do you expect to get anywhere in life? You won't be able to get a job without a proper education."

"I don't need one." He snorted "I'm just going to become a professor like my grandfather. Study different regions and stuff like he does."

"Stuff?" She raised an eyebrow "Do you know what that 'stuff' is?"

"Uh…" He hesitated before moving from the doorframe "Doesn't matter, I'll find out when I go into the field with him after I finish University."

"And how do you expect to get in to University without a good end of year result?"

"Who are you? My mum?" He glared at the girl "Stop lecturing me!"

"Well then stop wasting your life."

"I'm not wasting my life! I'm just taking it one day at a time like my own dad did." He snorted "Didn't your dad ever teach you how to have fun?"

"No. My father didn't approve of such things." She growled.

"Well your father is weird."

"My father is dead!" She almost screamed at him before storming out of the room and out the door, most likely in the direction of where she had been told the MPC was.

"Leaf, wait!" May yelled and ran after her, making sure to shove Gary hard in the shoulder on her way out.

"You're unbelievable, Gary!" Misty punched him in the arm and glared "How could you be so insensitive? She was only trying to help you!"

"That was harsh, man." Paul shook his head in disapproval before he and Misty both left, following May.

"I didn't do it on purpose!" Gary looked at Drew pleadingly "How was I supposed to know her father passed away?"

"Maybe from the way Dawn always refers to him in past tense and her mother in present." The chartreuse-haired boy stated as if it was obvious "You seriously need to think before you speak, dude." He grabbed the boy's hand and pulled him along "Come on, let's go find her so you can apologise."

"Yeah," Gary sighed "she's probably gone to Dawn. Maybe with her there, there's more chance that she'll forgive me."

"Won't know till you try, buddy." He led the other boy out the door and they both walked towards the MPC, hearing muffled music become louder and louder the closer they got. Once they reached it, they saw Leaf standing at the entrance with a shocked expression on her face and Misty, May and Paul behind her. The two girls were smirking and Paul was attempting to keep his expression stoic as they looked at the sight before them.

The inside of the MPC was almost sparkling, with no traces of mud anywhere at all. The thing that surprised them the most, however, was the sight of Dawn and Ash standing in the middle of the stage. Both of their noses were touching and Ash's arms were around Dawn's waist, while her left hand cupping his cheek and her right on his shoulder. The bluenette's right leg was bent upwards, making a '4' shape with both her legs.

Both were so lost in thoughts that neither of them noticed the six behind them that were staring at the two.

Hello again! heads up that I'm planning on editing all of the other chapters of this story as well. I spent my entire Saturday reading it and tbh, I'm so embarrassed of how much my younger self used the word 'stupid' and all the profanities that I refuse to repeat in this authors note...they were literally used multiple times in every single chapter.

Like I said above, I will definitely be trying to continue and complete this story, but I will need some time to get my ideas back together. Quite a few of you guys probably know, but before I disappeared off the face of fanfiction, I underwent 3 major brain surgeries. I've recovered, for the most part, but I have some permanent side effects and one of them is weakened memory. I've completely forgotten how I wanted all my stories to end but I will definitely try and figure it out...or at least come up with something new!

Thanks for reading and please review! (if you want)
