Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I am going to try to be better about updating. I got into a bit of an accident to, nothing permanent, but I have been out of commission for a while.

Oh and guys by the way we have a major issue to defeat. SOPA. Its this act that will make all fanfiction, fan art, and anything else like it disappear. Help stop SOPA anyway you can!

On with the story!

[Tony]

As soon as I got inside I saw that Pepper had fallen asleep on the couch. She must have been waiting for me.

Feeling bad for snapping at her, I slowly pulled a blanket over her and brushed some of her fire red hair behind her ear. She really worries for me sometimes, me and Adrian. I knew she cared about Adrian.

Thinking about Adrian…I wanted to be with her tonight. Seeing those monsters brought absolute disgust to me. How did they think they were right for treating her like this?

Then an ear piercing scream rang through the air. "Addy!" I shouted and began running up the stairs.

[Adrian]

Everything was black. I couldn't see anything. It was not a bad kind of darkness. Everything seemed to be calm. Quiet. Peaceful. Where was I? Where was Papa?

Then my other senses came into play. I could smell something in the air. It was food, a roast! I'm good at making that. Then I could hear other noises coming from the darkness.

There was laughter. There was a man with a deep baritone laugh. There was also a woman whose laugh almost sounded…like angels…Then there was a third. High pitched. It was a baby. A baby girl. The three sounded happy.

"What are you doing with daddy's wand?" the woman cooed. Wand? The baby only laughed in response. She just laughed and laughed.

"She's just practicing Lily! Already wants to learn is all." the man said. So the woman's name was Lily.

For some reason the inside of my chest felt really warm. The warm felt nice, but I was also sad. Why am I sad?

"Who's the best baby in the whole world?" the man cooed.

The baby then said, "Dadda!" She sounded so happy, they all did. The man and woman laughed.

"Silly Addy! James is not the best baby! You are!" the woman said.

My breath hitched. Addy. The baby…am I that baby? The man and woman, Lily and James…they must have been my parents. My old parents. Then an alarm rang through the air.

"No!" Lily yelled. "How could he find us James!" she shouted. Baby me had stopped laughing.

"Go Lily! Take Addy and run! Peter betrayed us!" James shouted.

"No James! Not without you!" Lily shouted. I was crying now. Baby me was crying.

"I'll hold him off Lily. You need to go. Protect Addy. Please Lily I love you! Run!" James pleaded. As he did the door exploded. Now I was crying.

"I love you too James." Lily said before I heard the pounding of feet going upstairs. Then I heard a door slam. I could smell smoke faintly. Then I heard James scream.

"No." I whispered in the darkness. All was quiet except sniffles from baby me, panting from Lily, and slow steps coming from the stairs.

"Adrian." Lily whispered. I picked up my head. "I'm sorry we could not protect you…" she whispered.

"It's not your fault." I said, but I knew she could not hear me.

"Remember my baby girl. We love you so much. Be strong. Be strong." She said just as another explosion came and a man laughed. It wasn't James. This laugh was cold and dark.

"Give up the child Mudblood. And you will live." The man said. My breath hitched. Me. He wanted me, why did he want me?

"No. Not Addy. Kill me instead! Please!" Lily begged. I began crying louder.

"Very well." the man said. "Avada Kedavra!" he shouted and then something fell to the floor. Now I was crying really hard.

My parents didn't die in a car crash. They were killed. By this man. Protecting me.

"Pathetic…"he said.

All I could do was mumble, "You killed them…whoever you are…you killed them."

"Now it time for you to die. Adrian Potter." The man said. "Avada Kedavra!" he shouted and a horrible green light filled my vision. I screamed. Just as he screamed, "NOOOOOO!"

[Tony]

I ran into Adrian's room to find her thrashing in her bed. I ran to her and held her in my arms. She woke up and held onto me as if I was going to disappear any second. She was sobbing.

"Papa…Papa" she mumbled, burying her face next to my arc reactor.

"Shh…I'm here. I am right here." I whispered into her hair, rocking her back and forth. Pepper ran in, looking at us wide-eyed.

"P-Papa he killed them…He killed them Papa…" she whispered. Pepper looked just as confused as I did.

"Who? Who did he kill Addy?" I said. "You can tell me. I'm right here." I said rubbing her head. "He did. H-He killed…he killed L-lily. H-he killed J-james" she murmured before being reduced to sobs again.

I looked to Pepper for help. Who were Lily and James? Pepper had tears in her eyes.

"Tony…Lily and James are her biological parents." She whispered. I held Addy even tighter.

"D-Don't leave m-me. Please Papa." She pleaded.

"I won't. I'll never leave you Addy. I promise. I promise Addy." I swore to her, rocking her back and forth again.

She wouldn't stop crying until nearly three in the morning. When she calmed down enough, she still wouldn't let go of my shirt.

"Papa…" she whispered. Her voice was hoarse from crying.

"Yeah munchkin?" I asked.

"Can you stay with me? Just for tonight. Please?" she asked. Pepper slowly walked out of the room.

"There's nothing I would rather do munchkin." I said. I laid down in the bed with her and she nuzzled my reactor again.

"Why do you like that so much?" I asked with a yawn. Both of us were nearly asleep already.

Just before going under Addy murmured, "Light's not green…"
