The Sister's story: The untold story of Merlin

This is a fan fiction of the TV show of Merlin, I do not own the characters except Rosemary, who is based from me and Aurelia who is based off my friend Shea, if these characters resemble anyone else it is merely a coincidence

Enjoy :3

Chapter 8: Uprising

My headache has returned yet again and nothing was making it go away. "Well, it could be an exterior force trying to break in you've had your guards up for a while now" Merlin said, handing me a glass of water, "Although, Aurelia has been complaining about a headache as well." "I'll go see her, maybe we can work it out"

I stood outside Relia's chambers and knocked. No reply, I knocked again, still no reply. I opened the door "Relia, are you here" A moan echoed around the room. I dropped my mental guards in a desperate attempt to search the room quickly and find Relia. Her presence was close to the bed so I ran over.

I bent down and peered under her bed, she lay there hunched up her eyes closed. "Relia," I whimpered, pulling her out from under the bed "What's wrong" Her eyes burst open. The green in her eyes was slowly swept over by a dark purple "Help me, " she sobbed as her wrist began bleeding, I stood up and hastened over to her bathroom, taking hold of a towel but my headache got the better of me and I crumpled to the ground.

I managed to pull myself to a looking glass hanging on a wall, I could see the purple taking over the blue pigments in my eyes which followed by a stinging in my wrist. I drew back my sleeve just to see the first drop of blood plop onto the floor. Grabbing the towel, I managed to stagger back to Aurelia. "Merlin" I groaned through the bond, before another wave of pain rippled through my body and I crumbled to the ground.

Merlin burst through the doorway, his eyes glowed purple like our own, yet somehow the pain had no impression on him. He sprinted to Relia, scooping her up in his arms, cradling her. "It's all right, my darling, I am working to finish this."

He turned to me, "Rose, close your mind, it's the only way to stop it." I heaved up my mental barriers, the pain stopped instantly. The last thing I could remember was Relia sitting bolt, upright and her eyes glowing a vivid violet.

I woke up back in my room, my head throbbing slightly. "How are you feeling Rosemary?" said a voice which was defiantly not Merlin. I sat up a little too quickly making my head spin, I could feel two strong arms catch me and laying me back down on my bed. My vision was blurry, but I could just make out the sandy blonde hair of Arthur. "What are you doing here?" I said, taken aback, "I'm here because Merlin said you were ill, " he replied quietly "I've come to build sure you're alright" He gave me a glass of wine and placed it at my lips "Drink, it'll do you in effect" I sipped obediently until I had completed the whole cup. He placed it on the ground beside him.

"Where's Relia?" I asked suddenly remembering last night. He frowned "She's with father" "What has happened to Uther, I mean his highness" His eyes turned cold "It is none of your business peasant!" He turned to leave "No Arthur!" I called after him staggering out of bed "Don't go" I walked a few steps before my legs gave way and I toppled onto the ground. Hearing the thwack of my landing, Arthur spun around, scooping me up in his arms and laying me back down on my bed. He starts pulling away, but I grabbed his collar refusing to let go. "Arthur…" I said sternly, his eyes brimmed with tears.

What happened next is beyond anything I thought I would ever do…

I kissed him.

He pulled back quickly, biting his bottom lip. "You are behaving rather oddly, Rosemary, this illness is worse than I thought, you need rest" He turned and walked out of the room. "No, " I called out after him, jumping out of bed, stumbling a few steps then fell onto the ground.

Hearing the thwack of my landing, Arthur turned around, hurried to my side, scooped me up in his arms and laid me back down on my bed.

"Stay" The Prince said sternly, as if he was telling off a misbehaving dog. I grabbed his collar "Don't go" I whimpered, my voice shaking "Please" He stared back at me, "Your illness is affecting your judgement, you won't understand"

I swallowed, pulling him closer, my lips brushing his ear.

"Enlighten me then."

"Gladly."

Soooo sorry for the late update. Exams are coming up so I won't be updating, however I tend to surprise myself. My last exam is end of November so hopefully I'll get a chapter up during study leave and another one up during exams. Once again thanks for reading, make sure you leave a review thanks ^3^
