I opened my eyes to feel a strange familiar feeling on my hand. I haven't felt this since… Marshmallow? I quickly sat up and looked down to see Kilala licking my hand, not Marshmallow. I sighed as I got out of bed and heard a loud bang in the next room. I rushed to the door and opened it a little to peek through the crack. Standing on the other side was Gideon cooking as Thomas was searching for stuff in the cupboard (and dropping a lot of it).

"Sorry" Thomas muttered as he waved his wand and everything flew back.

Gideon laughed as he waved his hand and three blue plates flew to the table, "you are very clumsy."

"Isn't that why you lo-" Thomas began and a thud echoed from behind me. I turned around to see Kilala had jumped onto the floor and ran past me into the kitchen.

"Goodmorning Sophia," Gideon said smiling at me as Thomas sat at the kitchen table. He looked down to see Kilala getting ready to jump on the counter (it did not work), "where did the cat come from?"

I blushed as I thought of Snape, "umm.. my friend bought it as a gift for me yesterday."

Thomas laughed, "friend? Who is he?" Gideon gave me a nervous look when Thomas said that which made me blush more as I sat at the table.

"Who were you with anyway?" Gideon asked as he began to plate breakfast. I looked down to see poached eggs, bacon, grilled tomato and toast.

"Thank you" I said, "and just Snape."

"Severus Snape?" Gideon asked wide eyed and I nodded my head.

"So it was a date?" Thomas asked.

I quickly shooked my head, "no, not a date at all!" An image of the future Snape appeared in my mind but began to blur with the Snape I know now. My heart began to race as I stuffed my mouth with eggs. I cannot date Snape, I cannot date anyone in this time period. It would just be too weird! I tried to mentally push any feelings for Snape to the side as I focused on the food in front of me.

"I thought Lily went with you guys?" Gideon asked.

I shooked my head no, "she was supposed to but fell ill. So it was just Snape and I, we bought school stuff and nothing else happened."

"He bought you a cat" Thomas pointed out and my cheeks reddened.

I quickly retorted, "nothing special about it. Nobody has to read inbetween the lines since there is nothing there." As if knowing we were talking about her, Kilala, who ran back into my bedroom, ran into the kitchen and attacked my leg. I couldn't help but laugh, she reminded me so much of Marshmallow. Thomas looked down at his watch and quickly stood up.

"Well I have to go to work" Thomas stated as he picked up his jacked from the back of the chair, "nice meeting you again Sophia, see you soon Ginniepig." I laughed at the nickname as Gideon almost choked on his coffee. With a smile Thomas walked over and kissed Gideon on the lips before he disaparated.

"So friend?" I asked smiling at Gideon.

"Just like Snape and you?" Gideon responded.

My cheeks reddened, "nothing is going on with us."

"You want it to though," Gideon retorted and my cheeks reddened.

I yawned as I stared at the butterbeer mug in front of me. It is the first day of school, I will be starting the worst year of my school life about 20 years too early. This will be my 5th year, this means… OWLs… Gideon went to the castle already and said I can go to Hogsmeade until the train arrives in Hogsmeade. Around 4:30 I have to go to the castle. It was almost 4 now and I was too lazy to begin my walk toward the castle. I decided to get a quick butterbeer before going to the school, I will probably get in trouble for this later but truthfully I do not care much.

I could not help but think about the whole Snape situation. I will have to admit it eventually, but I really do have feelings for Severus Snape. I should not, but I cannot help it. I cannot help but think about Caleb and his mother… she passed away so I do not know anything about her. I never really asked what her name was. I thought about the female students I met since I arrived in this time period and none of them looked slightly like Caleb.

Maybe she did not even go to Hogwarts?

So Snape will end up with some woman from another school. I could not help but feel a bit jealous about the thought.

I should focus more on getting home then stupid love problems. Then again, that dream is dead. I wonder what ever happened with the Triwizard Tournament… did Harry win? Was Moody caught?

I finished my drink and stood up heading toward the exit with thoughts quickly flying through my head. I walked toward the Shrieking Shack without even thinking about it. I stood at the same place Hermione, Ron, Harry and I did after he snuck into Hogsmeade during our third year. It looks better than it does in the future, as if it was newly build. I looked down at my watch to see I had 5 minutes till I should be at the castle.

With a sigh I turned and headed toward the school. By the time I reached the entrance the carriages began to arrive. I walked through the entrance and walked straight toward the Gryffindor table. I sat at the end and watched everyone walk in. I noticed Snape and Lily talking and her laughing as they entered and I could not help but feel a bit jealous.

With a sigh I turned around and looked at the front of the room to see Gideon talking with Dumbledore and glancing over at me. Are they talking about me? Or am I overthinking this?

"Hey" a voice said and I looked up to see Sirius sitting down beside me with James on his other side and Remus and Peter across from us.

"Hello" I responded nervously.

"You do not have to be nervous" Sirius stated leaning closer to me, "Lily paints us in a horrible light, we are not that bad."

"I know not all of you guys are not that bad, Remus is cool…. cannot say the same for the rest of you" I said smiling at Remus who blushed.

"I can change your mind if you give me the chance" Sirius said moving closer than I wanted.

"No thanks" I said sliding to the edge of the bench, "you are not my type."

"Who is?" Sirius asked, "Remus it seems?" I opened my mouth and nothing came out. I was completely lost for words.

"Stop bothering her" Lily said as she sat down across from me. I began to play with a string coming off of my robe as the others continued to talk. I did not look up until I realized the room went quiet and Dumbledore was about to begin his speech.

"How is Kilala?" a voice called from behind me as Lily and I headed up the stairs to bed. I turned around to see Snape walking toward us.

"Kilala?" Lily asked looking at me for an explanation.

"He bought me a cat when we were supposed to go shopping" I told her before turning to Snape blushing, "and she is fine. She should be upstairs."

Lily with a shock expression said, "you bought her a cat?"

"She really wanted it" Snape defended, "I just wanted to see if it survived the few weeks."

I nervously laughed, "yes she did, Gideon has been spoiling her actually."

"That is good" Snape said with a cute nervous smile.

"Did something else happen between you two?" Lily asked looking between the two of us.

Snape and I answered quickly and at the same time, "no!"

"I am going to go to bed, bye" Snape said as he quickly turned and walked away. Lily stared at me as I watched him go.

With a smile she said, "you like Snape, don't you."

"Yes-not like that though! He is a nice man- I mean boy!" I quickly stuttered before turning around and heading up the stairs.

"Sophia!" Lily yelled chasing after me, "you really do!" I ignored her as I rushed up the stairs.
