Hey everyone, as you may have already noticed Mad Friends is coming to its end. I hoped you enjoyed the story thus far and I hope you'll stay with us till the end of the ride.

Chapter 10:

'Where are they?'

'I don't know what you're talking about Batman.' ' I'm an honest businessman.'

'Don't lie to me Penguin, when someone needs something they come to you, and we're not talking about your average street criminal here.'

'Poppycock.' 'I'm not who or what you think me for.' I run al legitimate business and I won't have some rumors defile my reputation.'

'Enough games!' 'You'd better start speaking the truth, because the life of a innocent man might hang in the balance tonight.' ' Do you want his blood on your hands?'

'What innocent?' 'I don't know what you're talking about.'

'Those escaped rogue's YOU helped may have taken a hostage and they are probably going to kill him.' That's means you would be an accomplice to manslaughter, that would be ten years behind bars.'

'He…he never said they were going to kidnap someone, he just wanted a secure safe house to lay low for a couple of days.'

'WHO?'

'I don't know his name, I swear.' 'He was a tall blond guy with a bit of an overbite and he kept calling me Dodo.'

'The mad hatter.'

'Now is that all you wanted to know?' Penguin asked while ducking to pick up his hat.

'Batman?'

Batman was nowhere to be found.

'I hate it when he does that.'

Batman's pov

It doesn't make sense. Tetch was a patient of Dr. Jenkins but he couldn't have pulled this off on his own. Unless…

'Computer, give me a list of all the escaped patients of Arkham within a time span of 3 days.'

'Searching. '

His accomplice would have to be someone who also had sessions with Dr. Jenkins.

'Search complete.'

'Cross reference this list with all of the patients who had sessions with Dr. Jenkins.'

Every doctor in Arkham had his or her own individual patients. Arkhams guidelines said that each doctor couldn't guide more than three patients at the same time. Since Dr. Jenkins, joined Arkhams staff a few months ago, she would have counseled two patients instead of three. Jervis Tetch being one of them and the other …

'Search complete.' 'Match found.'

'Patient's name: Harvey Dent.'

But what were their motives? Tetch's motive was rather simple, he must have compared Dr. Jenkins with 'his' Alice and must have relived his beginning as the mad hatter, in which he kidnapped miss Pleasance in order to save her from her boyfriend Billy. And Harvey? Of course the board meeting! Though he couldn't participate in Harvey's case he had heard that Dr. Jenkins stepped up for him. Harvey must have felt that he owed her a lot. So when word got out that she was being molested by her boyfriend, Harvey saw this as a way to repay his debt to Dr. Jenkins. But there's still a piece of the puzzle missing. When the police searched Thompson's apartment, they had found three pairs of fingerprints, which meant there had to be a third man involved. But who? He probably broke out the same day as Tetch and Harvey but he would also need a motive to help them. Joker was too unpredictable, riddler would have left some sort of clue, most of the other preferred working alone. Unless it was someone who was somewhat close to either Tetch or Harvey. Of course! Tetch played a lot of chess with one of the other inmates, it was possible they got the idea during a chess game. If Scarecrow was involved things could get ugly fast. I really fear for Thompson's safety and sanity.

'What's happening?'

'I'm not sure, I'm a psychologist not a doctor.' 'But his pupils are dilated and his pulse is very low.'

'I think he might be slipping into a coma.'

'What should we do with him?'

'It's not like we can take him to a hospital.'

'We could always dump him in the river.' 'It seems a fitting end given his past.'

'I agree with mister Harvey but first …. who wants a cup of tea? Jervis exclaimed happily.

'I swear to god, if I have to drink one more cup of his stinking tea, I'll kill him with his own tea pot.' Two-Face whispered.

Jonathan smirked and gave Dent an 'I wouldn't stop you' look.

Jervis who had no idea his fellow rogue's disliked his tea so much, was just setting a kettle on the fire.

Batman's pov:

The address of the safe- house Penguin gave him lead to an abandoned warehouse at the docks. The building looked like it hadn't been used in years. The corporation's name was written on the side wall, or what was left of it. All that was left of the name was FONT IND. He decided that the best way was to go via the roof, so he fired his grappling hook and tested the strength of the line. The line held, so he started to scale the building's wall while figuring out an attack strategy. It was three against one and to make things worse they had an hostage. Batman decided a surprise attack would be the best strategy. Get in, rescue the hostage and get out. He readied his utility belt and cut the power cable of the electricity. The lights suddenly went out in the warehouse and a loud bang could be heard. Batman had just leapt throw the window. Shards of glass where raining down on the table and floor.

So how do you guys think this story will end? Will Matt get the punishment he deserves or will Batman rescue him only to lock him up in jail? And did anyone notice the reference to Bioschock?
