Chapter 9A: Shaping the wings.
After André and Jade's honeymoon and as promised by Minato and Kushina, Angelo and André will start their training with Naruto's friends. When they return, at 8AM, Angelo calls his father on Brazil.
"Uh, dad? It's me, Angelo."
"Ah, my son! We were waiting for your call. You are calling to tell that you are returning?"
"No, father… I'm not returning now… I've had joined the Japanese air force. My practical training is starting today."
"Oh… I see…" says Antonio, a little sad that Angelo will not come back now. "And about the company's stocks?"
"I managed to get them on the Tokyo stock exchange. There is two enterprises interested on it."
"Oh really? Anyway, which are they?"
"One I know the president because I'm a friend of his daughter. Is the Hyuga Incorporated, specialized on military and civillan optical devices, but is more focused on the military ones."
"I see. And the other one?"
"Is an insurance company almost at bankrupt, I'm surprised that they could make investments. Is one called Olivieri Life Insurance. But both of them a making quite a serious investments on us. Do you know why, father?"
"Well son, you may still not know but…"
"But?"
"As you know, the recent economic crisis had affected most of the world but Brazil was only slightly hit."
"Yeah, I know that."
"Now comes the part that me and your mother haven't able to tell you until now. The government had made agreements with our country's greatest companies, including us, and the Mercosur members to improve the area's economy after the crisis, and they accepted. When you was leaving, we were already had completed the Northeast and the Middle-West branches on Teresina to Salvador, and on Cuiabá to Brasília, and we were finished the Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Porto Alegre, and Florianopolis. Now we had made some partnerships with Mercosur countries companies. We are now finishing hubs on Montevideo, Asunción, Buenos Aires and Caracas. Our partner companies are also finishing negotiations with our directory so we can use their installations and they can use ours. In short, we are now one of the biggest energy and resources enterprise of the American continent. What do you think? As you have now 20% percent of the company's stocks, you are a member of Hidrogel's directory member, so I was about to call you to hear your opinion."
Angelo gets speechless and almost collapses, if wasn't for André and Jade, which had just arrived were looking for him, catches Angelo before he can hit the ground.
"Angelo! Are you okay?!" Jade asks in concern.
"Buddy, what is the matter?!" André also asks in concern. Angelo can barely speak, but the couple hear Antonio's voice on the phone.
"Son?... Son?... Answer me! Did something happened?!". Then Angelo, still a little dizzy, grabs the phone.
"I-It is a-a-amazing, f-father. Y-You h-have my s-support-t."
"Hum. Okay. But what happened to you?"
"I… just had a pressure drop…but I'm okay."
"Pressure drop? Angelo, this is woman's stuff, and something that your mother and sister are making regularly and getting me a headache with this. By the way, they were fine, before you ask. I just called you to hear your opinion."
"As I just said father, I'm with you. And please, tell mom and Catarina that I'm fine."
"Very well, I'm let them know."
"One more thing, father. How much is worth my stock on the company? I can't stay on André's grandpa's house forever." Then André says.
"Hey buddy, you can stay as long you want. You had being like a brother to me since the school."
"And if weren't by you, we'd maybe could never had married." Jade added, then Angelo says.
"Thanks guys, you two had been like brothers to me too. But, you know are married. You two have your life, and I have mine. But I will always be at you two's side. And besides, I maybe be the next on the line, you know." Then he resumes his conversation with his father.
"Father?"
"Just a moment. Some of the sum is being sent to your bank account here on Japan. It probably be there in one or two days. Invest it well, and you may not even think about win the life on Japan."
"Thanks father. Bye."
"Farewell, my son. Be careful out there."
"So, what was it?" André asks.
"Oh… it was just my dad telling me that everything is fine in Brazil. He allowed me to stay on Japan too!" Angelo said.
"Amazing!" André said.
"All right!" Jade also said. Then Angelo looks at his watch, and says.
"Hey, don't we have a flight lesson for today? This is something that I really don't want to lose."
"Oh yeah. Let we just inform my parents, then we may go." André says, they head for André's parents'. After informing them, they go speak with Colonel Noji.
"Er… grandpa, me and Angelo were going for our first flight lesson."
"Oh, that is extraordinary! Is going to be on this city's airbase?"
"Yes sir." Angelo says.
"Wonderful. My first flight lesson also took place on that airbase. Hum, I maybe go see you two there."
"I also may go make you a surprise, honey." Jade whispers at André's ear, then she kisses his cheek.
"Oh… okay. Bye, baby." André says, they he kisses Jade and him and Angelo proceed to the car, which is the same one used by they and Naruto on André's wedding.
Arriving at the base, they see Naruto, Naruko, Sasuke and Sakura there. They were already on their flight suits, and when Naruko recognizes the car, she starts to wave and makes little jumps. Then Angelo heads to her direction. Then they greet themselves while kissing and hugging. When André reaches them, they all great each other, but Sasuke does not interfere with them.
"Come on, Sasuke-kun. Just once, please." Sakura asks.
"Hump, why should I? The André one I would, but I don't like Naruko's new boyfriend. Is too much meddlesome."
"Hum, look who is talking. Anyway, a little competition with you would fun…" Angelo says.
"Are you challenging me, gaijin?" Sasuke says, as him and Angelo began to face each other.
"Yeah, maybe, if you have the guts." Angelo says, then Sakura and Naruko came to stop things from getting worse.
"Hey, calm down! Don't need to fight!" Sakura says.
"Yeah, honey, that is Sasuke's way. We all learned to get used to it." Naruko says.
"More or less…" Naruto says.
"Oniichan, you aren't helping."
"Yare, yare. Wakateru, 'ttebayo."
"Changing of subject, where is Hinata?" André asks.
"Oh, she was assigned to another team. We maybe will see them sometimes." Naruko says, then they see Minato and Kushina approaching with a man wearing a Captain uniform. He had white hair and most of his face was covered by an mask, letting only his right eye. Then Minato and Kushina talk to the students.
"Well, looks like that everyone is here. Angelo, André, this is one of my former students, Captain Kakashi Hatake." Minato said.
"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto and Sakura said, while making continence, while Sasuke just made the continence.
"Thanks sir. And you two must be the new students, Angelo Feitosa and André Noji, the grandson of Colonel Horikoshi Noji." Kakashi said.
"Yes sir." Angelo and André said.
"Well then, go to the lockers and get you two's flight suits, then meet us on the briefing room."
"Yes sir!" They said, as they headed to the lockers. After wearing their flight suits, they met up with the others on the briefing room.
"Yoshi, as is everyone here, let's begin. As now, all of you will start the practical part of the training. As the new addictions were familiarized with the Colonel's tactics and missions, they will be trained by the Colonel himself and will make part of his team." Then André and Angelo look at each other very excited. "And as I was the remaining ones' teacher since the academy exams, they will be part of my team." Kakashi said, as then Minato explained the first training mission.
"Okay, this one will be relatively simple. It was used on my sensei's training and I used on Kakashi's training. Both flights will be divided on 4 aircrafts comprised of 3 trainees aircraft and one instructor aircraft. The objective is to simply win a series of checkpoints throughout a simulated aerial interception and dogfight. You all will be taught how to proceed from the beginning of the taxi to the dogfight itself. However the decision of how to proceed will be relied on all of you. Only the rules will be given, but the decision of how to engage once the permission were given will be at your choice. This will be a basic exercise to stimulate your knowledge of the Rules of Engagement and the teamwork, which is essential on real live aerial warfare. Any questions?" everyone says no. "Well then, you all may proceed to the hangars now. Kakashi's team will use the callsing Team 7, while my team will use the callsing Team Minato. Captain Kushina Uzumaki will coordinate both flights from a E-2 which will take off after the training flights. Team 7's planes were localized on hangar B and my team's planes on hangar C. Dismissed."
Then everyone headed for their hangars while Kushina headed for the control tower. Once reaching hangar C, Angelo asked André, while they see Minato boarding his F-15J. As the merits of his missions, his plane was painted on a special paint job, which was the JASDF's standard paint job for her F-15, but with the addictions of lightning bolts on the wings and on the vertical stabilizers.
"Hey, he didn't said that our flight was of 3 rookies and him?"
"Yeah, I wonder who is missing…" André says, then Naruko approaches them.
"Aren't we going?"
"Naruko? So are you the remaining member of our team?" Angelo asked.
"Yes! Isn't cool?!" she asks, greatly excited, as she hugged and kissed Angelo.
"Sure, will be fun" Angelo, answered.
Minato, which was watching them without they knowing, remembered the first time when he flew with Kushina. Then he said to Angelo, André and Naruko.
"Well, since you three were finished, we may start? Kakashi is taking-off now with his team."
"Yes sir!" Angelo and André said.
"Rikai! (Understood)" Naruko said.
"Very well, I'll waiting you three."
"All right!" The trio said, as they boarded their planes, which were three Kawasaki T-4. It was also the same type that Naruto and his friends took off, with Kakashi flying a F-15, with the same paint job as Minato, since Kakashi had been his wingman.
This is the end of this chapter. The first training mission is designed to be like the famous "Ring Balls Test" from the Naruto series. I hope that you understand how I'll put the next chapters and sorry for had taken long.
