Hey everyone! Guess who's back?! That's right, the genius that brought you Bleach: Rewrite the Past, Dragon Wars: A Fairy Tail Story, and other fan-favorite stories, has returned! LDSAuthor2013, now known as Elder Z. S. Weber!
…okay, so I'm not actually back just yet. I mean, I'm still off on my mission and all. I've still got seventeen months more to work with, and I'm gonna go the whole way, ya hear me?! So, why exactly am I writing this now, and exactly how can I be doing this at all?
Well, let me explain.
For a while, the Church Headquarters for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been debating whether they should get a tech-upgrade for the Mission I am currently in, the Colorado Fort Collins Mission, and give all of the missionaries there iPads. This would be very helpful, as it would mean we (the missionaries) would then carry all of our resources and books in one digital device, could show inspiring Church videos that we would download right onto the device, and spend about an hour a day contacting our friends on facebook or other major sites and sharing spiritual messages with them. The only problem they were working with, though, was that many missionaries that had been given iPads in the past had hacked the firewalls the Church installed in them and used the devices to go to sites that they weren't allowed to visit.
Now, however, the Church has upgraded their anti-hacker techniques, and have decided to send the iPads out to us missionaries in the Colorado Fort Collins Mission. They'll reach us sometime in May of this year, and we'll have a Mission-wide Conference that will explain what the iPads are to be used for. However, I just have one problem with that. Many of my friends, that I'd want to connect with and share inspiring and spiritual messages with aren't my friends on facebook (aka, you guys).
So, once again, what am I doing here, then?
Simple, my friends. Starting today, I'm going to start posting a new 'story', my Mission Journal/Blog that I've had going on elderzacharyweber . blogspot . com since Day 1 of my Mission. I encourage all of you to read it, not only to catch up with me and hear how I'm doing, but so that you can see what life is as a Missionary and Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Also, if any of you have questions about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or want to learn about the religion, or actually have questions about such fun principles such as; the meaning of life, the inevitability of death, the purpose of the universe; then please, post them in the Reviews section, or shoot me a Private Message, and I'll be happy to answer your questions.
