Disclaimer: blah blah blah... Not mine, never was... Well Alissa is mine.
A/N: I know you hate me but I had writers block, then I was busy, then I got distracted.
Review reply for guest reviewer: thanks for the nice review, it made my day and got this chapter finished.
Alissa smiled and clapped after Artie and Quinn's performance of I'm still standing by Elton John, she had noticed that Quinn was remarkably good at using a wheelchair for someone who had never used one.
Alissa had caught a look at Artie's face after Quinn's rather tactless proclamation in her opinion and sent Artie what she hoped was a comforting smile. She was happy when Artie smiled back, seemingly in thanks.
Glee rehearsal had just finished as Alissa cornered Quinn in the hallway. "You don't always
think before you speak, do you?" Quinn looked at her strangely. "Look, I'm sorry about you car accident and yes, it sucks but you kind of upset Artie."
"What do you mean?" Quinn asked her, brows furrowed in confusion.
"When you said you'd be out of the chair and dancing by nationals." Alissa reminded her, "Artie doesn't have that choice. He's wheelchair bound, remember? You just reminded him of that fact, I'm sure he'd love to be able to dance with the glee club or even just play football or soccer or whatever you call it here with the guys but he can't. He certainly doesn't need reminding of that." Alissa was shocked that she'd had the confidence to say that... Wow, these guys sure had made an impact on her.
Quinn looked at her again but this time with understanding and regret. "You're right, I need to go find Artie... To apologise, thanks Alissa you've been a big help."
Alissa smiled at her, "Any time Quinn, any time." She watched Quinn roll away before carrying on to her destination.
Alissa hated booty camp. Her dancing wasn't really improving that much, she was always hungry afterwards and to make matters worse Sue Sylvester was in charge. Coach Sylvester already hated her but not without reason, Alissa had refused to join the Cheerios and of course Sue had not been happy.
So now she stood with the glee club being yelled at by Coach Sylvester, trying to ignore the flashbacks that had started to attack her brain, each one showing her as weak. The time at the Quidditch pitch... Her falling flat on her face as she was pushed down the stairs again... Her being cornered in an empty corridor, the kicks, the puches, the body slams, the jinxes, the curses. Pain. Fear. Anger. Sadness. Pain, overwhelming pain, scarred. "Can you hear me?" The voice seemed so far away. Jeering, laughing. More pain. She groaned someone was shaking her. Blinking at the sudden bright light, she opened her eyes. "Oh thank god!" Someone exclaimed. Blaine? Sam?
Sitting up, she found herself in the choir room facing Blaine, Kurt, Sam, Finn, Mr Schuester and "Teddy?! What are you still doing here, I thought you went back to school."
"I needed help with work" Teddy shrugged, his hair his favourite colour of blue, and his eyes his normal stormy grey. "You're the best at the subject." Alissa looked at him mouthing Arithmancy? Teddy gave her an easy to miss nod in reply.
Harry considered himself a patient man, yes he had a temper but he thought it took a lot to make him , well... Explode, is the only way he could put it. But as he closed yet another book he found himself greatly frustrated, how on earth did Hermione do this? Sighing, he stood up and rested his head against the wooden door frame. "Are you ok?"
Harry looked up meeting the concerned gaze of said person. "Yeah... I... Damn it Hermione how do you do this?"
"Well, I love books." She said, shrugging.
Harry laughed, "No, seriously how do you do this?"
"Are you still talking about your case."
"Yes, the flashback Blaine described when you and Ron were visiting Will sounded like the time Snape called my mother a mudblood." He said this last word with obvious disgust in his tone.
"Well why don't you go visit then?" Hermione said in an it's so obvious tone.
Harry sighed deeply, "May as well." He said.
William Schuester sighed as he read through yet another e-mail from his glee kids, this time from Kurt. The e-mails and Alissa's panic attack was enough to make him certain that enough was enough when it came to Sue and set out to try and find her.
It didn't take him long to find her, she was in the staff room lounging about in her usual manner that she had when she wasn't coaching or yelling/ traumatising people. "Sue! We need to talk about what happened at booty campy."
Sue looked at him, "You mean my epic smack down of the glee club."
"I just got this email from Kurt: Mr Schue save us. Coach sue is meaner than tabatha."
"I have no idea who porcelain is referring to, I assume it's gay niche."
Will just shook his head, this wasn't going anywhere fast.
"See?" Alissa asked. She, Blaine, Kurt and Teddy were sat in the Anderson's kitchen, Kurt and Blaine talking and Alissa trying to explain how to do the Arithmancy to Teddy. Teddy nodded at her. "I'm not the best at the subject though. I wasn't even top of my class, so why are you here?"
"I missed you just... You're my best friend."
"You're mine to." Alissa said. "You know you do have other friends at school, something I don't have."
Kurt and Blaine had long since finished their conversation and were now watching the conversation between the two. " Not completely true, Harry's kids love you, and Victorie likes you, and Matt and of course the team." Teddy replied.
"The team tolerates me, you and Scott are the only ones who actually like me and Matt's a friend but he can't talk to me during school for fear of being tossed in the lake... Again. I didn't realise Vic actually liked me... I mean I know we're civil and that her parents like me... But I didn't know she liked me."
Blaine and Kurt were silently listening, Kurt had his hand resting on top of his boyfriends as a way of comforting him, he knew that Blaine and Alissa had become close friends soon after Alissa had arrived there. Kurt knew that hearing her talk like that must be hard on him. "Vic?" Kurt asked, curious.
Alissa smiled at Teddy before turning to Kurt, "Victorie Weasley eldest daughter to William Arthur Weasley and Fleur Isabelle Weasley neƩ Delacour. Teddy has a crush on her."
"No I don't." Teddy said... A little too quickly.
"Sure you don't." Alissa said slowly, laughing at her best friends face. "You ok Blaine?" She asked her friend, seeing the look on his face.
"Yeah." Blaine replied, "I just never realised how lucky I was."
"Even though I have hardly any friends, I feel like I am lucky, I mean, if everything that's happened, hadn't have happened then I wouldn't have come to America, I wouldn't have joined the glee club and I wouldn't be friends with you two or Sam or Finn, I'd be at Hogwarts, with Teddy and Matt, being shoved into stone walls every day without fail."
"Shoved into stone walls?" Kurt asked, incredulously.
"Yeah, Hogwarts doesn't have lockers so you get shoved into stone walls... It's a favourite past time of some people." Alissa muttered the last part.
"Stupid bastards." Teddy muttered, his hair turning red at the same time causing Blaine's mouth to drop open as Alissa and Kurt laughed at the look on his face.
"I've always wanted to meet a metamorphmagus." Kurt says awed.
"A meta- what?" Blaine asked.
Teddy smiled, "A metamorphmagus." He replied changing his hair from red, to yellow, to bubble gum pink and finally to his favourite shade of blue. "It means I can change my appearance at will, my mother was one."
"Unfortunately it's an inherited trait, it would be useful."
"Definitely."
