Yogurt Facials

Warnings: Super adorable toddler powers! So cute, you may just faint! One "oc", my Anna. I couldn't resist. Yaoi in the form of Finland x Sweden but it's not really in your face in this. Just implied relationship.

Finland felt calm. Very calm. This afternoon was perfect. Could you hear that? The sigh of contentment right before "perfect"? It was perfect. He didn't have a care in the world as he lay on the carpet. He didn't need to dress in pressed suits and comb his hair out. He hadn't even combed his hair that morning. It was almost ten o'clock. His comb? Like the suit, it was in time out. For the rest of the day. Honestly, people just didn't understand how hard it was to be a nation. You had to hear a lot of complaining all the time. From adults. Adults who acted like children sometimes. You had to read, reread and sign papers galore. Then there were reports. About himself. Well, about his nation self. Like how everything was going, was there any signs that the economy might do a dip or a flip, was the weather or the land going to do something funny any time soon… that kind of stuff. Stuff that other people should have been able to tell his boss instead of him. But no. He was Finland. Who better to know about what's going on than Finland? Even though a lot of news came from other people to him then from him to his boss, et cetera and et cetera. What did these people think he was? A psychic?

That's why days off were nice. He missed the days in which all he had to say was "I'm going to visit another nation, I'll be back in a few days" or "Actually, I'm going to stay home for a while… you know… actually sleep?". His bosses seemed to figure that one out quickly in modern times. Bosses tended to start getting the idea that nations probably shouldn't act like they had been and start acting like everyone else on the payroll. What a pain. It wasn't that Finland was lazy. Very few times did he not go to work simply because he didn't want to. He tended to be a workaholic, especially since he gained independence. But everyone, even nations, needed a day off once in a while.

At first, Finland hadn't known what to do with himself on this day. He hadn't planned on anything because, to be quite frank, he hadn't thought he'd see this day off. To his delight, his request was accepted. So he'd slept in a little, roamed around in his pajamas for a while… before changing into a tshirt and sweatpants… Then a thought struck him. He should do something to feel good. What did people do to relax? The first thing that seemed to come to mind was massages. Then massage turned into facial. Maybe it was a little girly… but once he started, he understood why women (and men) went to get facials. Even if his was… a little unorthodox. But toddler hands were surprisingly good for facials.

Tiny chubby hands had been patting and rubbing his face, smearing delicious smelling vanilla yogurt on his skin. Finland sighed, touching the tips of his toes together and readjusting his hands over his abdomen. What a great idea. He hadn't thought it would work to be honest. But here he was. He could relax and his tiny adopted daughter was occupied and not getting into trouble… though yogurt may or may not be easy to get out of the carpet. More people should try this, he thought to himself. Best. Facial. Ever. He wondered if he could get a patent for this. Toddler hand facials. Maybe he should go back to not thinking.

"Done, Mommy!" the toddler mumbled happily.

Finland hummed, keeping his eyes closed. He felt refreshed… now if only he could figure a way to keep her busy. It was amazing she had stayed occupied for… Finland peeked at the clock on the wall… half an hour. A new toddler record. Finland had never cared for a child before. A child nation was not a normal child. Therefore when he was a child… well, let's just say he wasn't a good example of how a child functions and acts. He was forced to learn how to raise his daughter from baby on up. But he wouldn't have traded it for the world. He loved being a father… though he could do without the "Mommy". It was a rather… silly result of Sealand's pranks. Now he had two nicknames: Mommy and Mum. In his state at that moment, it wasn't a groan worthy thought. No. It was more like…

"I make one handsome Mom." Finland said.

This made the toddler giggle. She couldn't understand yet she found it so funny. So funny, in fact, that she had to pat his chest. Hard. Leaving a lovely white handprint. Nope, he thought, he wasn't going to even feel annoyed. Too much effort. Pat, pat, pat, pat. Nope. Just too much effort to move. The towel was nearby. Waiting to wipe hands. He knew he should move soon. The yogurt was warm and drying. It was becoming sticky and uncomfortable, like a real facemask mixture. Hmmm… His daughter was just too enraptured by the yogurt, which she was now patting his hair with after applying a dab to her own nose. Could he remove her from the yogurt to get cleaned up? He hadn't thought this far ahead.

Finland heard a knock on his door shortly before it opened. He didn't move as a heavily accented voice rang through the house.

"Fin?"

"Living room!" Finland called back.

Finland heard the footsteps go from the front door to the living room. He must have stopped at the doorway at the sight. Finland could picture his face clearly. A face that once scared him witless but in actuality smiled quite easily… though you had to know him to be able to recognize it most times. Right now, Finland would bet his dog that the nation was on the verge of laughing. He knew he looked silly… and boy did he not care. Not today, nope.

"Daddy!" the toddler said, surprisingly remaining sitting.

"What are you doing, Anna?" Sweden said, amused.

The girl giggled wildly, grinning. Finland opened one eye to look at Sweden. He was dressed casually as well… perhaps not quite as casually as Finland's sweatpants. He wore jeans and a sweater, having removed his shoes at the door.

"Mommy is getting a facial, right sweetie?" Finland said.

"Yes!" Anna cheered.

Anna scrambled to her feet and ran over to Sweden. Sweden easily picked her up, though held her so that the yogurt hands were at a safe distance. Someone needed a bath. It was then that Finland noticed Sealand, who looked as if he didn't know whether to die laughing or die of mortification.

"Hei, Sealand! How are you?" Finland said.

Anna looked excited. She hadn't seen Sealand from where she had sat on the floor. She wiggled and leaned dangerously far back, making Sweden tighten his grip ever so much to keep her from slipping out of his hold. Anna pointed at Sealand with a yogurt hand.

"Box!" she shrieked happily.

Sealand stuck his tongue out at the toddler, showing his obvious dislike of the nickname. "Box" refered to the punishment box, which was often put over his head in timeout when he misbehaved. It was better than other punishments such as grounding or having something taken away like some of the other micro nations who lived with nations complained about. But it was so annoying! Though it was funny when Anna saw him in time out. She always tried to climb under the box with him. Eventually she even received her own box, albeit smaller and much more beat up. She thought it was the funniest game.

"Big Brother! Say Big Brother!" Sealand urged, poking the girl lightly on the tummy.

The girl giggled wildly again, wiggling more than ever. Oops… so much for no yogurt on Sweden's sweater. There was a new handprint over the nation's heart. Oh well. At least Sweden liked children. He didn't seem to mind.

"No!" she said.

Sealand made a face. So Finland tried.

"Anna, say "Isoveli"." He said, telling her to say the Finnish word for "Big Brother".

"Issssssssssssss!" Anna said.

Finland shrugged from the floor. At least he tried. Sealand seemed to give up as well, moving to sit on the couch, folding his legs under him. He didn't get scolded for feet on the couch nearly as much here as he did at home.

"So, facial?" Sweden asked curiously.

Finland nodded.

"My day off. It was soooo much fun." He said.

Anna looked up at Sweden, eyes shining.

"Daddy too?"

Finland laughed and got up from the floor.

"Yes, Daddy too? Mommy has to go clean up. Have fun, Sve." Finland said.

Finland patted the nation's arm as he passed, intent on going to wash his face… or take a shower as he remembered that now he had yogurt in his hair as well. Anna was Sweden's problem now. Sweden let out a small grunt-like laugh as Anna patted his cheeks with her hands.

Note: Microsoft Word's spellcheck says Sealand isn't a word. Huh… would ya look at that… You're still great in my book, Sealand! Anna was one of those ocs created just for fun and day dreaming. I think she'd make a cute addition to the Finland x Sweden family. She's not a nation though, if you're curious. She's human, 100%... ish. If I ever finish her and the other ocs origin story, you'd understand. If I don't, I'll just say experiments. That is all. … I need a massage. I'll skip the facial. Even a toddler one. I don't like yogurt… Thanks for reading!
