I took so long I know! Exams are getting closer and closer so I may get worse at updating! Revision is like the only thing on my mind! However today I am so sick so I thought instead of watch movies all day (So far I have watched New Girl, Criminal Minds and Yes Man.) I would do a wee bit of writing. I am just going to apologise in advance for the future slacking. I promise this will be finished soon! Thank you for your loyalty you amazing people, have a good sunny spring day!
My eyes started to adjust to the shockingly white walls. There was a smell of bleach burning my nose and an irritating beeping in my ears. Lazily I reached up to rub my eyes and found a tub stuck to my face. I tried to tug the tub out only to feel a soft hand stopping me.
"Welcome back to the world sweetie. Don't pull that out Hun, it's making your leg better."
"Garcia, this is the hospital I am guessing?"
"Yep sweetie, you have a pretty nasty leg injury going on there. The doctors think you're going to be on crutches for a little while but it will recover. You did a good job back there Daniella. I suspect you'll be hearing people saying that a lot more, you really saved the day today. Although I think you might be in a little trouble for running off."
"Hey I caught the bad guy right."
"True and you did well on that. You managed to get pretty badly hurt though. Ashley was really proud of you though. I think she saw a little bit of her in you."
"Really? How come she and Reid aren't here then?"
"Umm... she got pretty badly burned back there. She is in a room down the hall. She is going to be fine though, they have her smothered in antibiotic cream and a few little tricky doctor things here and there. Obviously Mr. Lover boy hasn't left her side. You really opened a door there, we have been trying to set them up for a hell of a long time and you did it in a week. He is literally holding her hand as we speak. The last thing she said before she fell asleep was 'finally'"
"Glad I managed to do something right for her. I also managed to get her burnt and scared the hell out of her."
"That's our job sweet pea, we all find that person we truly connect with. Morgan had a little girl called Ellie that he risked his life to protect. For Ashley it was you."
"And damn didn't she do a good job."
Morgan had walked into the room holding a plain hospital cup of coffee in one hand and an extravagant flapperchino style cup from Starbucks.
"Here you go Garcia that better be good. It took me forever to find the Starbucks in this damn place. How are you doing run away?"
"I am doing reasonable thanks Morgan. Despite the fact I have a massive slash in my leg; but hey everyone loves a war wound."
Morgan let out a deep chuckle. Before turning to Garcia.
"I just saw Reid baby girl, he talked to the doctors and they are saying the girls will be okay to fly back in a couple of days. The only issue is they can send Daniella here back to a care home with her injuries."
"Say no more my wonder boy. I will work some of my Garcia magic. I will be back soon you two, don't miss me too much. I'll tell Reid and Ashley you're awake while I am on my travels."
Once Garcia had skipped out the room, Daniella turned to Morgan.
"Take me to go see them Morgan?"
"Daniella you can't even walk yet. You'll see them soon enough. Ashley is able to walk I am sure her and Reid will come and see you soon enough."
-Ashley loved waking up to Reid's sleep deprived face. He had never left her side since he had carried her to the ambulance. Even now he had his head leaning on the side of her pillow as he slept in one of the plastic hospital chairs. She had offered to him to lay on the bed with him but he remained gentlemen and had stayed on the chair.
Waking up this morning though his chair was empty. A sinking feeling swept over her, she felt empty and dreaded being home when she wouldn't get to see that sleeping face every day. Pushing a strand of hair behind her head she winced as she touched the ugly burn that was currently scaring her face. The fact Spencer was still staying right there when she was red and raw, realised how special Spencer Reid is to her.
The door loudly banged open and in walked Spencer balancing some cups of coffee and what looked suspiciously like chocolate muffins.
"Spencer Reid, please tell me that is cake in your hands."
"Ashley Seaver this is indeed a chocolate chip muffin for you and also I have good news. Guess who woke up today."
"She's up! Reid you have to take me to see her. Once we have eaten our cake obviously."
"Okay Ash, now eat up."
-Morgan looked up from his phone, with an amused smile.
"Well look what we have here. How are you two doing?"
Morgan looked down at their joined hands.
"We are good Morgan, can me and Reid go in and see her."
"Sure head in, you guys should here the good news first. JJ and Will are taking her in! She isn't allowed to go back to the children's home with her injury so Garcia talked to Will and JJ and they are going to look after her. "
"That's amazing Morgan! Really fantastic, we will get to keep seeing her."
"Exactly, she doesn't have to leave the team just yet!"
-JJ smiled up as Reid and Ashley entered the room. Ashley let out a big smile and headed straight across to Daniella side.
"That was one massive stunt you played there! It is exactly like the one I pulled on my first day."
Daniella reached up and pulled her arms around Ashley's neck.
"I am so glad you guys are ok. I couldn't lose the family I was only just getting back."
Spencer reached out and took Daniella's hand.
"You won't be losing us any time soon kid."
Daniella smiled around at the group. Her new family worked for her.
