Louella, after getting up the next morning, thought about Wallace again. She had feelings for him and wondered if he liked her too.
She even helped Wally through a problem with his Uncle, Charles.
Louella and Wally battled, with Louella as the winner.
"Who won the battle here?" A man's voice asked. It was Wattson, the Mauville Gym Leader.
"It was me." Louella replied.
"That's nice! I'm Wattson, Leader of this city's Gym. Are you going to challenge me for a badge?"
Louella smirked. "Glad you asked. The answer is yes."
"I'll be waiting for you in the Gym." With that, Wattson went back into the Mauville Gym.
Louella smiled sadly at Wally. "An old friend of mine told me this and now I'm going to pass this onto you: don't give up till it's over, understood?"
"Understood." Wally replied.
"That advice was given by Annaleigh Ketchum, who passed it to her brother Ash, who passed it to his girlfriend Serena, who passed it to Kelsi Stone, who passed it to me, who passed it to you." Louella said.
Wally pulled Louella into a hug. The platinum blonde girl returned her friend's embrace.
Louella and the Lake Trio then went into the Mauville Gym. After a while, she stood in front of Wattson.
"Wahahaha! I'm impressed you made it here. I, Wattson, accept your challenge!" Wattson then sent out Magnemite.
"Alexander, reveal your true identity!" Louella called.
Alexander turned into Azelf.
"Wahahaha! The Legendary Pokémon Azelf! How long has he been with you?" Wattson asked.
"Since I was a baby." Louella replied. "Now, Alexander, use Flamethrower!"
Alexander defeated Magnemite in one hit. Meddella and Ulyana clapped for their brother.
Louella called Alexander back. He flew over to his sisters and turned back into his human form. Louella then sent out Mia.
Wattson then sent out Voltorb, calling for Charge Beam.
"Mia, use Mud Slap!"
Voltorb was defeated.
Wattson's last Pokémon was Magneton. Louella called Mia back and sent out Shimmer. In the end, both Shimmer and Magneton were defeated.
Wattson and Louella recalled their Pokémon.
Wattson then handed Louella the Dynamo Badge.
Louella and Alexander shared a hug, celebrating Alexander's first battle and win.
