Here's the next chapter! I am very sorry for uploading this late. I typed this chapter on my phone and was going to upload it, but FanFiction was messing up for me and I couldn't upload it. (I couldn't upload it with the computer at the time because I was grounded again. I am now ungrounded.) Anyways, enjoy the chapter! :D
Kate's POV
I was woken up the next morning by a nuzzle from Humphrey. "Good morning Kate!" He said happily. "Good morning Humphrey," I said while yawning. I looked outside to see it was early morning. Why was Humphrey up so early? He's never up this early. "Why are you up so early?" I asked him. "I wanted to walk you to your parents' den so you could say goodbye to them before they leave," He said. "Ok. Let me get washed up first," I said while flicking my tail playfully accross his nose as I walked out of the den toward the river.
Once I was clean, Humphrey and I walked to my parents' den. When we got there, we saw my mother running around the den trying to find something. "Hello Mom and Dad," I said as I walked into the den. "Hello Kate. Don't mind your mother. She's searching for something, but I don't know what," My father said. My father then looked at the entrance and saw Humphrey standing there. "Hello Humphrey," He said. "Hello sir," Humphrey said. "May I speak to you in private?" My father asked Humphrey. "Sure," Humphrey replied. I watch them exit the den to go somewhere private. What does he need to talk to Humphrey about? I wondered.
Humphrey's POV
Winston took me somewhere we could talk privately. "What did you need to talk to me about?" I asked him. "I wanted to talk about you and Kate. I know you two are together and I approve of you two. I just want to say that you two better not do anything you will regret while Eve and I are gone. I have already talked to Kate about this, but I am planning on telling Eve about you two on our way back. I will try to talk to her about it so hopefully she won't rip you to shreds," He said. My mouth dropped open. "Kate agreed to that?" I asked. "Yeah she did. If you think about it, wouldn't you rather her find out while she is far away or when she is less than a mile from you?" He asked. "When she is far away!" I said quickly. "Ok. It's settled. I will tell her on the way back," Winston said. "Ok. You do that," I said nervously. "Ok. Let's get back to the den," He said.
We walked back to the den to find Eve ready to go. "You ready honey?" Winston asked Eve. "Yes. Let's go!" She said, running out of the den. Kate and I walked with them until we reached the end of the territory. We then said goodbye to Kate's parents. When they were out of earshot, Kate tackled me and kissed me passionately. We heard gasps behind us from the other wolves in our pack, but we ignored them. Hutch them came up and gathered up the wolves around us and left us alone. "This will be the best week ever!" I said. "Yes it will," Kate said kissing me again.
