Black Canary has managed to have Supergirl to open up to her and tell her what kind person who she is.
"I want to stay the I am right, nothing's wrong with me, it's just..."
"It's your body that's wrong to you, am I right?"
"Yes." Supergirl said playing with her long hair. "I was created by Cadmus to be a tool for them, a weapon. Never given a choice to decide of who I am, controlled by Genomorphs to do whatever they need me for. Hell, I am Genomorph. Just a thing to them."
"Listen me." The sonic screamer said with Supergirl being surprised by Canary who was lately smiling and laughing with her was now back to being a demanding leader. "You are not an object to anyone nor are a mindless weapon to anyone. You are an innocent young woman who wasn't given any choice by bastards who never cared about any living being except for themselves. You proved to yourself that you are a person and that you've proven them wrong when you, Robin, Kid Flash, Artemis, and Aquagirl freed yourselves from Cadmus."
She was right. She did prove to be her own person by punching Blockbuster right in his face. By making friends that day as well. Finding a home. And now a purpose today to help people as a hero. Never was she a weapon, an inferior copy of Superman, nor was a weapon. Super-Claire was never Superboy. Claire has always and will be Supergirl.
"Thank you." Claire said to Canary standing up. Ready to go out and help out her friends.
"Hang on there Supergirl," Black Canary said raising her hand up to stop her. "Were not done yet. We need to discuss on how-"
"If I can ask you one more thing?" Claire said in low mousy voice still nervous about this whole thing, her head still swarming with thoughts and ideas like a shook beehive.
"Anything."
"Instead of just calling me as Supergirl," Claire swallowed her spit to be heard clearly so she can be heard and loud enough. "I want to have a name for my second identity just like the others. And can it be . . . Claire?"
Black Canary look shocked for a second then when on to let out a chuckle on how nervous she is. She knows better than that to not laugh at patient but she's just cute not to.
Claire growled looking away from Canary. Back then she would have gone berserk and yell at her to shut up, but now she wanted to hide forever than never be taken serious by again.
"I'm so sorry. I am not laughing at you, it's just that... you look different than before." Black Canary says moving close to Claire to give her a big hug. Hugs Dinah remembered her mother gives her before going out on the streets. "I promise that I'll always watch over you and the others no matter what."
Claire hugged her back, but being careful to not accidentally a single bone in her body. Letting go of each other with confidence vibrating off Supergirl's body.
"If you wish to be this way, I need to know if your confident on having your body being permanently a female for the rest of your life. It's your choice now."
Claire takes few deep breaths going over her certainty of this being her true self. "Yes, I am. Because I've always been a girl and I want to be in the right body."
Black Canary can see it in her eyes that she's dead certain on being her true self. She's proud of her. She defiantly can see the Man of Tomorrow inside her. It was obvious that he would be proud of her too.
/Recognized: Zatara, 11/. The Computer announced that Zatara has entered the Cave using the it's Zeta Tube. He's probably here to check up on the team on their success on breaking Klarion's curse on them. Then the computer announced that another person's entering the cave /Update. "I'm guessing that's Zatara's here to check up on you guys. Please stay here while I'll go discuss some private matters with him." Black Canary said as she makes her way to the door for to be stopped by Claire saying "Wait? Who's Zatanna?"
"Zatara's daughter." Canary walk out the door while Claire sits in her chair. I hope everybody's doing okay against Klarion?
Worst. Mission. Ever indeed. Robin panting as he's trying to keep himself alive running away from the giant snake Klarion summoned to eat the team. Slithering after him with its golden yellow eyes so bright it pierces through darkness. It was almost impossible for someone even for Robin to outrun a 50 ft. length snake.
It strikes at Robin baring its giant fangs that are big enough to cut into tanks. Robin couldn't escape from it quick enough. It was certain that this was how he's going to go out, if only it wasn't for Kid Flash to grab him away from the snake using his super-speed.
"And you said it was going to be easy?" Kid Flash said as he's carrying Robin with smug grin on his face. "But don't worry little lady, I've got you."
"I've never said it was going to be easy, blockhead." Robin said reaching into his utility belt to grab a hand full of explosive pellets. "And you're a girl too, remember?"
Kid Flash stopping putting down Robin far enough from the serpent. Artemis and Aqualad are fighting a few armored knights with her bow not wanting to waste her arrows, Aquagirl using her aquakinesis to construct a sword and a mace on her Water-bearers. But it's almost pointless because how the knights just get back on up when you knock them down. Miss Martian are zooming around the air because Klarion made a few stone gargoyles come alive and flying after them.
Kid Flash looks at one of the gargoyles who flew overhead. "You know there are so many laws of physics are being broken for them to even stay in the air, right?"
"Of course. Explanation," Robin throws a few of the explosives at one them that hits on impact, rendering the gargoyles to dust and rubles, "Magic."
Kid Flash just scuffs at his comment shaking his head, "You say magic, I say advance cybernetic androids."
Klarion laughs sitting on his floating royal king's chair above as he's watches as his playthings are trying eliminate his guest. It wasn't enough for him to have the heroes be their opposite sex, it was fun but he knew it wouldn't last. It was epically fun to watch Superboy being miserable because of his identity issues. A little freak he was and always be.
Miss Martian flew past a few columns to have a couple of the gargoyles crash into them. It worked but they're still following her. Come on, come on! She trying to come up with something to fight them with. They are gaining on her. M'gann wondering what would the others would do, what would her Uncle J-Duh! Hello, Megan! She stops and waits for them to come to her. Miss Martian tightens her fists standing ready to strike. They're about close enough to ram into her by slicing into her with their stone claws. But that gargoyle never got the chance to because Miss Martian straight up punched the gargoyle and shattered it to pieces with all of super-strength.
Everybody look in awe as the saw M'gann just obliterated a monster with nothing her fist. Wally the one most excited was cheering on for her. "Wahoo! Go Miss Martian, straight up sucker punch that sucker!" M'gann blushed at his compliment.
Kid Flash continues on fighting the giant snake so that it won't become a distraction later on. He tried throwing a couple hundred fast punches on it, but it's scales at really thick for it feel it. He tried throwing objects at objects, but obviously didn't work at all. Zooming past it trying to eat him, Kid Flash tried getting itself strangled, but it didn't fall for the trick. It's really intelligent to know when to not strike randomly but dodge attacks.
"KF!" Artemis yelled out to Wally as he stopped for a second to catch his breath. He turns to see Artemis is pointing an arrow at the snake. "Won't work! I tried hitting it with everything but it's tough."
"I know! Bring it towards me!"
Kid Flash not knowing what she's planning to do but he got no better plan so he might as well. "Hey, big mean green ugly! Over here1" he said getting its attention. He uses his super-speed to get it to follow him towards Artemis. Reaching about one feet from her and the snake, Artemis yells for Kid Flash to get out of the way as she fires her arrow the snake. Doing so, Kid Flash watches as the arrow flying towards the monster was a flash bang. The creature winch in pain from the bang as its eyes seems to be blood red.
"Good to go for you!" Artemis said as she knocks off a knight's helmet with a roundhouse kick.
Wasting no time Kid Flash got the beast to look at him, it seems it can still see but it took it a minute notice the speedster was behind it. It tries to strike at its prey but missed because of Kid Flash's speed and the snake's blindness. After a couple of minutes of cat and mouse, Kid Flash got the snake to tied itself up.
The team are about finishing up their fight with M'gann using her invisibility to have two gargoyles ran into each other, destroying each other. Then the last gargoyle tried to smack M'gann from behind, but she moved aside for it to miss her. Then Miss Martian grabbed hold of the gargoyle's tail and started to twirling around in circles to build up as she'd let go the tail as the last one is shoot towards the ceiling. She smiled at glee as the gargoyle is reduced to powder. Robin, Artemis, and Aquagirl finally defeated the moving knights' armors. All gathered together with nods and high-fives and complimenting each other for their success.
"Looks like we won, Witch Boy." Robin staring up at the smug little punk. Klarion looks down at them, angry because they ruined his fun. He leaps off his floating down towards the floor with his precious pet cat Teekl in his arms.
"That was just too warm you up." Klarion said gently stroking his cat with a sinister smile at the team sends ice cold shivers down their spins. "Time for me finally to play with you guys."
