Damn. 10 chapters.

I feel like that's a lot, for some reason. It's probably not, though.

I feel bad for Rin. Haru's being too mean.

"Can we not do this right now?" Haru asked. "Seriously?"

"Well, any other time, you completely ignore me," Rin replied. "You're the cruelest master I've ever had."

"I'm sure you didn't treat all of them like this, though," Haru argued as he gestured at their postition.

Haru had need to study for a test that Makoto had hounded him about. The only way to get Makoto to lay off was to agree to study for at least two hourse. Haru wasn't happy about it, but he was more unhappy about the constant texts Makoto had sent him about it.

While Haru had tried to study, Rin kept bugging him. He was either wanting to play or wanted attention. So, of course, Haru tried to ignore him. That hadn't worked, as Rin decided to make it extra difficult and turn into his human form to use words with that.

They ended up in a copromise to where Haru was currently sitting in between Rin's legs with his books opened on the bed in front of them. Rin got his touchy-grabby attention, and Haru got to study. Everyone was happy... more or less. Haru still didn't like being touched.

"Well, of course not," Rin replied. He leaned his forehead on the back of Haru's head and breathed in the sent of Haru's neck. Like the rest of the boy, it smelled heavily of water. "Not everyone is you."

Haru pulled a book into his lap and focused on the problem in front of him. He'd been stuck on it for ten minutes and was starting to get frustrated. This is what he got for studying. Why did he go against the natural order or laziness?

As Haru tried to focus, Rin moved his nose from the back of Haru's neck to the side of it. Haru froze as he suddenly felt Rin's lips against the flesh. He looked back to Rin, forcing the red head to back off so he could look at Haru.

"What are you doing?" Haru asked him.

"Nothing."

"I'm trying to study, Rin," he reminded. "Could you please limit the touching to just your arms? You're destracting me."

"I guess I could do that..."

Satisfied, Haru turned back to the book. Where was he again? Oh, yeah. Question number eight. Evil question. Evil book. Evil school. Evil Makoto. Why must they torment him so?

Just as Haru decided to skip the question, he noticed that Rin's hand was inching under his shirt. He started to trace the skin on Haru's lower stomach, forcing the teen's face to light up. Seriously, couldn't Rin go five seconds without attention?

"Stop, Rin," he demanded.

"What now?" Rin pouted. "I'm only using my hands, like you said."

"You're destracting me."

Rin removed his hand so that he could wrap both his arms around Haru's shoulders. Haru was forced to lean back on Rin, and Rin leaned back on the headboard. They sat like that, practicually laying down for at least twenty minutes. That, Haru didn't mind. It was even sort of sweet.

"Haru, why do you have to go to school?" Rin questioned.

"Because kids have to go to school."

"It's stupid," Rin said. "You should stay here with me all day. We could go on walks and go to the pool. You could finally take me to the beach like you said we would."

"I can't be with you all day," Haru told him.

"You should, though."

Over his shoulder, Haru reached up to pet Rin's head. Maybe he really was being too hard on the red head. It wouldn't kill him to give him a little more attention than he did. Was he really that cruel?

"Rin."

Rin looked to Haru, and was greeted with a kiss on the cheek. "What?"

"I'm sorry if I seem a little harsh sometimes," Haru apologized.

Rin's eyes widened a little at the words. Normally, Haru didn't care about how he effect other people or what they thought of him. Yet, he was worried about Rin? Did that make Rin different? Was he special to Haru now?

In all the time Rin had known Haru, he'd never once heard him apologize to someone. Rin was the first, as far as he knew. That made him feel specially honored. Like he was in a different class than the rest of the world now.

"Not at all, Haru," Rin told him. "It's you. Nothing about you is unlikable. I just wish you'd give me more attention."

Haru bit his lip as he tried to come up with a way to make it up to Rin. What could he do that would make Rin happy? Hm, now that Haru thought about it, he didn't know that much about the shapeshifter. Only that he was always smiling.

That was all he could think of. Rin was always smiling with Haru, because he enjoyed being with Haru. So how could the water loving boy turn that into something more special?

"How about we go on a date, Rin?" Haru suggested. "It'll be a whole day where I'm only focused on you."

Rin's eyes seemed to sparkle. Haru imagined that if he was in his dog form, his tail could be wagging like crazy. "A date? When?"

"Saturday."

"Can we go to the park?" Rin asked excitedly.

Haru stared into Rin's eyes for a moment before busting out with laughter. The park? Of all places, he wanted to go to the park? The dog in him showed in the cutest ways sometimes.

"To the park it is, then."
