So last time we left off, it was revealed that Fallon's parents knew about their daughter's relationship with Dark,meanwhile Krad is determined to have Fallon as his. I've always like Krad despite him being a jerk, *giggles nervously*
Anyway at the moment Fallon's vampire half is confused, and we'll see a little jealousy from Dark in this chapter, also Fallon's fire magic doesn't go out while her vampire half is dormant. Anyway on with the chapter!
Fallon's POV
When I woke up after Krad had kissed me I was in my room again. I growled as I got out off of my bed so I could change out of my hunting clothes. How dare he! I thought in my mind as I washed my face off in my bathroom. The memory of Krad kissing me returned to my mind and I shook my head in disgust, then yet again I felt my face turn red. What he said was true about my vampire half being confused.
"Damn it" I growled to myself as I put some more water onto my face. It was pretty late so I decided to go bed.
Next Day
I woke the next morning by the house phone ringing. I opened my sleep eyes to see what time it was on my cell phone.
"Oh snap!" I said freaking out; I slept in till 10:30.
"Fallon Satoshi Hiwatari is on the phone for you!" Dad called from the living room. Satoshi?
"Coming!" I shouted as I hurried out of bed and headed towards the kitchen, I was eager to talk to Satoshi I didn't realize I lost my footing which caused me to slip and fall face first into the floor in front of my Dad.
"You okay kid?" my father asked me as I got back up.
"Yeah I'm fine Pops" I reassured my old man before I grabbed the phone from the nearby desk.
"Hey Satoshi it's been awhile" I greeted my other best friend through the phone.
"I know it has, are you doing anything tonight?" Satoshi asked me politely on the phone. I blushed was he asking me out on a date?
"No not really what did you have in mind?"
"Nothing much there is a going to be a gathering at one of the local museums for a new artifact and I thought you would like to join me"
"You can go kid he already asked me" Dad said from the couch. My mother was sound asleep in the nearby recliner, a book sat in her lap.
"I would love to go and hang out with you for awhile what time?"
"I'll pick you up at six I won't keep you out late since we have school tomorrow" Satoshi said before he said he had to go. The rest of the day seemed to pass like a blur, at the moment I was watching for Satoshi through the living room window. Because this gathering might be a little formal I chose to wear a turquoise spaghetti strapped dress, my hair was pulled back into a braid, I wore matching flats on my feet.
"You look nice kid" Dad complimented as I turned away from the window.
"Thanks Dad, but this isn't a date I only care for Satoshi as a good friend" Dad nodded.
"I know you do kid" as he said this there was a knock on the door which got me to jump and fall down. Dad chuckled as he went to the door and opened it.
"It's good to see you again Mr. Reid" Satoshi said to my father politely blushing I stood up and walked up the front door. Satoshi looked handsome in his suit, which was a mix of blue and grey.
"You look very pretty Fallon" Satoshi said as he offered his arm out to me. I noticed he wasn't wearing his glasses, which made him look even more handsome.
"See you Pops" I told my father as I took Satoshi's arm. Satoshi of course was a gentleman the whole way to the museum. As expected there were other people dressed up for the event.
"So what artifact is about to put on display?" I inquired Satoshi as we sat ourselves at a table drinking some punch.
"The Rutile of Grief" Satosho replied.
"Will it be a target for Dark?"
Satoshi nodded.
"Most likely yes I really missed you Fallon" Satoshi then stood up and came over to me. He suddenly brought me into a hug. I could feel what felt like guilt coming off from him, but I ignored it as I wrapped my arms around his neck. The two of us then enjoyed the rest of the evening, I even had a chance to meet Satoshi's father. Even though Satoshi was adopted I swear Mr. Hiwatari looked like Satoshi the same hair style, same eye color, etc.
Satoshi's POV
"Fallon I need to talk to my father in private for a few minutes" I told her, she nodded and went to look at some artifacts. My father and I left the gathering and into the room where the Rutile of Grief was sitting on a satin pillow inside a glass case.
"The Rutile of Grief, I'm sure you know of it" Father started.
"Yes and I also know of the faithful stories surrounding it" I replied not keeping my eyes off the ring.
"You do know we can't allow him to steal anymore don't you?" Dad's personality changed. I suddenly then realized the ring was a fake in the glass case.
"It's a fake" I suddenly blurted out. "This is a counterfeit"
"I know you've been having fun with the Phantom Thief, but I'm afraid playtime must come to an end soon" I turned.
"You forget Fallon is now involved father" I told him this.
"I'm aware of her Satoshi it was a good idea for Krad to erase her memory from last night and in the freezer, right now she doesn't remember you are Krad's tamer, but she will remember he is a potential threat or mate" I turned to him.
"I won't let him hurt her damn it and are you asking me to protect the Rutile?" I told my father looking back to the ring. Father then took something out of his suit and a chain with a familiar ring came out from his hand.
"That's the real Rutile"
"I want you to capture Dark with this"
The Next Day
Fallon's POV
After Satoshi returned from talking with his father he looked as though he saw a ghost. Of course like the worry wort I was, I asked if was alright, and as usual he reassured me his was. However I knew he was lying, but I decided to drop it. I woke up earlier than usual so I got to school before the others did. I had already eaten breakfast so I decided to hang out in homeroom until classes started.
"Good morning Fallon" I looked up from my book to see Daisuke.
"Hey Dai what happened you look out of it" I asked the red head.
"Well my Dad returned last night"
"Whoa really?!" I said as I stood up suddenly, I blushed as some of the other students looked over at me. I chuckled nervously before I followed Dai to his desk. He pulled something out of his bag and I recognized it as replica of the Rutile of Grief.
"Did your father give that you?"
Daisuke looked to me and nodded.
"It just feels weird to see him I mean he's been gone since I was two" I nodded understanding, I mean even I would feel awkward if one of my parents suddenly returned out of nowhere after not seeing them for so long.
"What's up with you Niwa?" Risa inquired as she and Riku walked up to us. Risa saw the Rutile of Grief and said. "Isn't that a replica of the Rutile of Grief?"
Daisuke blushed and said. "Yeah it is"
"Who gave it you Niwa?" Riku questioned next. I chuckled at the way Daisuke was behaving around both of the twins.
"It's a gift from my father he returned home last night" Dai replied while he closed his hand with the Rutile in and brought his hand up to his chest.
"The Rutile is kind of popular right now according to legend it supposed to draw out people's hidden power and talents, like my charm" Takashi boasted.
"Psssh yeah right Saehara" Riku growled.
"Well hey now guys Takashi is really good with his trumpet playing" Takashi blushed as I complimented his music talent.
"You know you're right, we saw you perform Fallon both Riku and I cried' Risa said to me, that got me to chuckle. Some people did cry when I played at the winter concert.
"The power from the Rutile's stone is quite powerful" Satoshi said as he came towards us. The blue haired teen gave me a nod in greeting, I did the same. Satoshi then pulled out his own replica of the Rutile and let it hang loose in front of Dai who looked confused.
"Now I want one" Risa said which got me and Riku to sweat drop.
Later that Night
As I expected it would happen a warning later from Dark had been released during school, and as usual I would go and watch the thief heist. I had already finished my homework earlier so I wouldn't have to worry about it. The moon was full tonight which meant my vampire half was completely dormant, while my wolf half was in full control. Dressed in the same dress I wore last night I stood outside the museum along with the rest of the crowd of on lookers eager to see Dark in action. Only difference was my hair was loose and I wore my black boots. Some girls squealed happily and pointed into the sky, I looked up and there was Dark flying towards the museum. I noticed the Phantom Thief had seen me and he flashed me a wink, hoping he would see it I returned the same gesture before he disappeared.
Satoshi's POV
"Damn it Krad stop it!" I snarled to the angel inside me. I knew Dark had arrived but the Phantom Thief was the least of my worries right now. Krad had sensed Fallon and he wanted to see her.
You cannot fight my wish to see my beloved Master Satoshi the blonde angel said in my mind.
"Fallon's vampire half is dormant right now" I snapped back at him.
True but I still want to see her and I will soon with that Krad returned to silence. Growling I sat back down and watched the screens in front of me intently. I heard the back of the truck open and a familiar voice said.
"Excuse me sir we have past the strike time given to us in the warning letter" I frowned I knew Dark was behind me.
"Really?" I simply said not wanting to spook Dark.
"And as you can see the Rutile of Grief is safe it looks like Dark won't show up tonight"
What complete crap, did Dark think I was stupid.
"No I know that he is here" I simply stated, the guard me behind said "Huh?"
"You can easily tell the real one from the fake can you? So show yourself Dark!" I said to the Phantom Thief as I turned around to face him. Dark knew the jig was up so he threw off his disguise.
"Violence is night my style, now hand over the real one" as Dark's hand came to the real Rutile around my neck, Krad suddenly said.
I've been waiting a long time for this moment the Rutile then suddenly began to glow.
"Don't do it Krad!" I snapped at the angel within me. "I can do it myself"
Dark seemed alarmed that Krad was awake, growling I slammed my fist against the control board in front of me. A cage of bars separated me from Dark.
"I captured the Phantom Thief! I got Dark!" I shouted to the drivers of the bus.
Dark's POV
"You really think you can capture me like this do you?" I taunted Hiwatari, Krad immediately replied while the Rutile glowed again.
"Of course not"
"Krad don't you dare!" Satoshi snapped once more at the angel within him.
"Master Satoshi? Did you know the reason why your father gave the Rutile to you?" Krad now had complete control of Hiwatari's body. The Rutile of Grief now was in Hiwatari's hand and Krad was ready to use it.
Rutile doesn't the Rutile draw out another person's power? Daisuke asked in my mind.
"Yes and that power is him" I replied to Daisuke just as Krad shouted.
"Rutile of Grief release my magic on Dark!"
The Rutile suddenly released its power which came out in yellow light; the yellow light suddenly grabbed me and threw me against a wall before I was thrown against the bus's ceiling before collapsing to the floor temporarily weakened.
Fallon's POV
I suddenly fell to the ground clutching my chest. This was the same pain I felt before when the unicorn attacked Dark. Dark had to be getting hurt, and then it hit me. My wolf half recognized Dark as her mate which is why she felt the same pain he did. Earlier I had noticed a bus pull out, trusting my gut I hurried away from the crowd and phased into my wolf form at a nearby park. I knew the bus's scent and I followed it until I the bus came into sight. I felt Dark's presence within the back of the bus. I would keep up with the vehicle until Dark was freed and out of harm's way.
Daisuke's POV
I was in trouble now, Dark had taunted Hiwatari which seemed to annoy Krad. Because the next thing the two of us knew the Rutile had unleashed its full power, and I felt Dark being weakened even more.
The next thing I knew I was in some kind of vortex of blue and pink with a light shining in front of me. Suddenly the pain stopped and I saw Dad in front of me when I opened my eyes.
"Dad?" I called out to him. My father's arms were stretched out as though he was protecting me and taking the full on brutal attack of the Rutile.
"Hey kid!" Dad said as he looked behind me briefly. He then growled, in pain the white longed sleeved shirt he wore was starting to rip because of the pain he was getting from Hiwatari's attack.
"What are you doing Dad?" I asked my father concerned for his safety.
"The Rutile's stone draws out many kinds of powers that ability dwells in its carved shape" I looked down at the replica he gave me. Another blast from the real Rutile hit him hard, and I could tell my father couldn't hold on for much longer.
"This is nothing go Daisuke hurry!" with that I felt my body return to Dark's.
Dark's POV
When I had control of Daisuke's body I was slammed against the back of the truck but this time I didn't feel any pain.
Dark the Rutile that Dad gave to me is protecting us! Daisuke said in my mind. I looked down the Rutile that was around my neck.
The Rutile is absorbing the magic!
I chuckled before I took the replica into my hand ready to use it.
"Even if it's a replica the thought is real" as I said this the Rutile in my hand started to glow blue. I heard Krad warning Hiwatari to be careful, Hiwatari didn't listen as the whole back of the van was filled with blue like flames from the Rutile.
Fallon's POV
There was an explosion that came from the back of the bus that held Dark; the impact got the bus to suddenly turn over on its side. I sensed the two human drivers were okay, then I saw Dark fly out of the hole and following was Krad. I snarled and returned to my human form, seeing the blonde angel again really pissed me off.
Krad's POV
I finally took over Master Satoshi's body.
"So we finally meet again Dark" I greeted my other half. Dark growled and replied to me.
"Don't talk to me like you're a friend" he then tried to fly away.
"I won't let you escape!" as I said this to him I released more magic from the real Rutile of Grielf, yellow beams of light escaped from the stone and went for Dark, he easily dodged them. I was about to unleash another attack when I yelped in pain. The scent of something burning filled the air and I turned to see whoever threw fire at me. Fallon stood on a cliff looking angry at me, in her left hand was a small fireball. I smirked and flew towards her.
Fallon's POV
"Crap!" I said as I realized my fire attack got Krad's attention because the blonde was coming straight towards me. I tried to run for it, but the next thing I knew the blonde angel had me in his arms.
"Let me you son of a bitch" I snarled at Krad.
"Now that isn't a way to greet your mate my love" Krad purred to me.
"I am not your mate"
"KRAD PUT HER DOWN RIGHT NOW!" came Dark's angry off voice.
I looked in front of me and Dark was beyond pissed off. Krad just to piss Dark off even more pushed his lips against mine. Dark let out an inhuman snarl and flew towards Krad at a high rate of speed. Of course Krad laughed evilly, and like before he used some kind of magic that got me to go out cold.
Dark's POV
When Krad's lips touched Fallon's my blood boiled, and flew straight towards him. As I expected the blonde angel would he started to give chase, I had to get Fallon out of his grasp without her getting hurt.
Dark use the Rutile to freeze him for a second then you can get Fallon! Daisuke shouted in my mind.
Trusting my tamer I used the power of the Rutile around my neck as I got closer to Krad, sure enough he froze for a mere few seconds, but those were all of the seconds I needed to grab Fallon. Krad then shouted angrily when he noticed Fallon was no longer in his arms. As I flew towards the windmills I turned to face my other half and shouted.
"Bring it on!"
Krad snarled before he unleashed his violent feather attack towards me. I used my Rutile to create a blue shield which easily deflected Krad's attack. The pissed off blonde flew over the shield disappeared and I flew after him. I held on to Fallon tightly, as I shot more of the magic from my Rutile at Krad who also dodged them. As he temporally stopped in mid flight I answered Daisuke's question about Krad.
"Krad is my other half Daisuke"
Your other half? The red haired teen said in my mind.
"But I'm different from him he's nothing but a replica this is for touching Fallon!" Dark yelled as I unleashed my Rutile's power which got Krad to widen his eyes. My other half flew however flew above before my attack could touch him.
"I am myself, I am an original and this body belongs to me!" Krad shouted as he was about to use more of the real Rutile's power.
Wait what about Hiwatari! Daisuke shouted. A yellow orb now danced over Krad's hands as I flew towards him at a fast rate of speed.
That's enough Krad! I heard Krad's tamer yell, because the magic that once danced over Krad's hands was gone. I used that chance at his distraction to punch him hard in the jaw for kissing Fallon which got him to drop the real Rutile of Grief. Krad snarled and went after the Rutile as it dropped towards the ocean; I went hard after him while still holding Fallon tight to me.
Krad's POV
I almost had the Rutile when Master Satoshi said to me.
No! Forget about it!
Dark's POV
While holding Fallon with one arm I managed to snatch the real Rutile of Grief in my other hand and flew away before I could hit the ocean water, Krad wasn't so lucky.
Is Hiwatari ok? Daisuke asked.
"I'm sure he is" I replied back to my tamer, as though to back my answer up Hiwatari's head broke the surface. The blue haired teen looked up to me and said.
"Get Fallon out of here I can swim to shore" I nodded before I put the real Rutile of Grief in my pocket and turned around to take Fallon home, she had enough for tonight.
Fallon's POV
"Wake up Fallon" I heard Dark's voice say. My eyes slowly opened to see the Phantom Thief standing above me. Then I remembered Krad's kiss.
"Where is that son of a bitch?" I snarled as I sat up.
"Calm down I took care of him" Dark reassured me. I noticed the outfit he had was a different one, it was a purple diving suit of some sort. He must have brought me home while I was out cold.
"Who is he Krad?" I asked looking to Dark.
Dark whose wings had disappeared sat next to me on my bed.
"Krad is my other, as you see I am an angel of Darkness while Krad is the Light"
"That's pure bullshit sorry but I only see evil coming from him" Dark suddenly smirked and he pushed me beneath him, and his lips met mine. When he kissed me I felt my inner wolf stir within me in excitement I closed my eyes as Dark continued his kiss with me. I suddenly yelped as I felt the Phantom Thief pull us up and so I could straddle his lap. Our kiss had stopped when he did this.
"Cursing isn't lady like" Dark teased me.
"Oh can it I don't use profanity a lot" I scolded Dark putting an index finger against his forehead. Dark only chuckled again, before he gave me another kiss.
"I would love to continue this but I need to go" he said. Understanding I nodded and got off of his lap so he could stand up. His wings returned to his back as we came out onto the balcony.
"Fallon?" Dark suddenly said to me in a serious voice.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"I want you to stay away from Krad okay the thought of him touching you disgusts me" Dark replied looking back at me with what seemed to be a jealous face. I would have teased him, but I decided not to push it.
"I will, but what if he comes to me?"
"Then you run or fight him or knock him out cold he's dangerous Fallon and why he wants you so badly worries me"
To reassure him, I pulled put my hands on Dark's face and pulled him down for a reassuring kiss. I felt the Phantom Thief relax.
"I will try to stay clear of him if not I'll make sure he gets knocked out" I told Dark once our kiss stopped. Dark suddenly brought me into a hug which caught me off guard.
"Dark are you okay?" I asked surprised at this sudden sign of affection.
"Yes I'm fine I just wanted to hold you" as he said this I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"The thought of even losing you Fallon to Krad terrifies me I will protect you with my life if I must to keep you safe" I felt tears slide down my face as he said this to me. The two of us held each other like that for who knows how long.
