Disclaimer: Don't own hetalia characters except for Maria and her kids. Their mine!

Antonio's past two days since he left the shop wasn't what he thought it would be, it was filled with having a human woman draped on him to try and preform mating rituals, guess what, you didn't need to be married to have mating rituals...stupid information watch...whoever made this programing needs to get punched in the face, or suffer what he was suffering through, naked run-ins and waking up half-clothed. He wasn't even aloud to leave the hotel, Bella thought he would try to run away (which he might) and she handcuffed him to the bed post everytime she went out. The alien absolutely hated it, he felt trapped. Worse than the prison he escaped from, he wanted to get out again. He wanted to run as far from this manic as possible and find Lovi and the others again. But he stayed put, he held his burning feelings, and he sucked his breath everytime the human woman pressed her lips where he never wanted them, god he hated her lips...

But on the mid-morning of his third day in this goddamn room, he finally snapped.

It was turning up nice, he woke up fully clothed, with Bella sleeping at his side. It was a nice breakfast they shared, except for the bananas that he was forced to eat because Bella told him he used to love them, but he didn't at all. He missed the tangy taste of the tomato. Even when Bella said she was leaving for just a while, she didn't handcuff him.

"I'll be right back Tonio~! Don't miss me, ok?" she chirped that morning. Antonio only nodded before turning on the television, flipping through carelessly. Once the door shut the Spaniard still channel surfed, merely glancing at titles boredly. One title caught his eyes enough for him to go back...

{The Mafia: Italy's Downfall}

Antonio jumped and suddenly raised the volume and glued his eyes to the screen, excited that he'd finally know what this term meant...but as the hour passed by Antonio soon regretted it.

"While there was a time when people were reluctant to pronounce the word 'Mafia' ... nowadays people have gone so far in the opposite direction that it has become an overused term ... I am no longer willing to accept the habit of speaking of the Mafia in descriptive and all-inclusive terms that make it possible to stack up phenomena that are indeed related to the field of organized crime but that have little or nothing in common with the Mafia." the televison told him. Antonio tilted his head, that tone of voice is the same one Feli and Lovi used when they talked of this. As much as he knew the mafia was a criminal organization that went from the smallest of crimes to the point of controling government. Why assosicate with two little Italians? Slowly the alien lifted his information watch, typing the term on the keyboard. The device beeped before his answer was given:

Mafia: A criminal organization Mafia as deeply rooted in Sicilian society and impossible to quench unless the very structure of the island's social institutions were to undergo a fundamental observers saw "mafia" as a set of attributes deeply rooted in popular culture, as a "way of being", as illustrated in the definition by the Sicilian ethnographer, Giuseppe Pitrè:Mafia is the consciousness of one's own worth, the exaggerated concept of individual force as the sole arbiter of every conflict, of every clash of interests or ideas. This organization mostly indulge in finance and such on, to the point of hunting down debt payers till their deaths

So a bunch of bad guys? Antonio shivered and slowly stood up, that's when the very noticable voice that escaped Lovi's own lips rang though his head,

"I don't eat that much anyway..."

"I like living out there cause I don't want to get close to people..."

"Until we're six feet under..."

"I'll keep you safe, the mafia can't catch me."

"Stay out of it."

"Get the fuck out of my life..."

It made sense now, the looks, the tone of voice, and the paranoia. Lovino was hiding from this mafia, staying away from his brother and social life for who knows how long. Refusing to even buy his own food in fear of this mafia, by the way this organization hunted for their prey. Antonio felt something burn inside him again, not this anger, no, a feeling that made him want to leave this room and find Lovi. So Antonio planned so, taking his old clothes and changing back into them, he placed the clothes Bella gave him on the bed. As he stood straight he headed for the door, only some of his questions were answered, but he intended to answer them all.

"Lovi, I'm going to protect you...I don't know how or why. But I'm going to keep you safe." he said to himself as he reached for the door, but the door clicked back and opened itself, revealing Bella at the other side.

"Antonio? What are you doing in those clothes. Y-You're not planning on LEAVING, are you?" the blond asked a bit in panic, her frame shaking. Antonio merely moved beside her and only got out of the room before his arm was held in a vice grip. "Your going back to that little whore, aren't you? I heard you saying the brat's name in your sleep, you shouldn't worry about him. Your with me now, he's being taken care of." she cooed and tried to pull him back into the room. Antonio froze slightly and narrowed his eyes.

"What do you mean 'taken care of'?" he asked lowly, his senses flaring. Bella opened her mouth to answer before the ringing of the phone in her pocket filled the hall of the hotel. The duo stayed silent as the ringing made it's way though, Bella never letting go to answer it and Antonio never moving from his stance. As the ringing stopped and a beep went though, the phone went straight to voicemail. Antonio growled, "Play the message..."

Bella tensed slightly at the tone of voice her love gave her and silently let one hand let go as she reached for her phone, going though its contents before she pressed the voicemail. Once the message started she carefully watched the Spaniard's facial expressions.

"Oi! Bella, it's Feliks. Like, you totally need to call your bro. We got the Italians and Germans last night! What kind of sister are you if you don't congradulate your totally fab mafia bro for finally catching them?" the voice rang though the hall, making Antonio freeze. Bella quietly put her phone away and pulled at Antonio again.

"See? Mr. Vargas is taken care of. He won't get in the way of our love again~!" she sang happily, her eyes twinkling. "So now you can love me forev-ah!" she yelped as her hold was thrown off and she was slammed against the wall, a stong tanned hand on her throat. She froze as Antonio's body got close and his voice hissed in her ear.

"You lying, cheating, mafia whore. You knew who Lovi was as soon as you saw him...and you simply dragged me away and sold him out! I should kill you right now for doing that to him." he growled and pushed back, his eyes narrowed and pupils red that Bella shook in fear. Antonio glowered and turned away before walking down the hall, intending now it was right. He had reason to save Lovi now, "I don't love you, I will never love you, and I am not the one that fell for you. He's dead. Goodbye, Bella." was all he said as he got the elevator opened and got inside, finally dissapearing to find his little tomato.

Bella stood in the hotel hallway in shock at Antonio's outburst, watching him walk away from her sight; slowly tears gathered in her green eyes as she reached for her phone and dialed number she would never forget.

"B-big Brother…." She sniffled, "Let me help you..." her eyes sharpened, with a hint of madness. "Kill Lovino Vargas…" Nobody got in the way of her love and her. No one...

Antonio didn't know how long he ran. But he knew he was still in town, he knew these streets enough to lead him to the Vargas' shop; in hopes this Feliks guy from the phone was wrong, terribly wrong. But his hope was soon shot as he rounded the corner to see the shop windows were slightly cracked, the 'CLOSED' sign hanging on the door. Feliciano never had that sign up, not even at night. A shiver ran through the Spaniard's spine as he immediately turned and ran again, but he was quickly tripped as little arms tackled his legs and his face met the ground. He turned his head to see the small faces of Maria's children clinging onto his legs, tears in their eyes.

"A-Antonio..." Maneul whimpered. "You're back." Antonio relaxed slightly and moved to sit up, letting the kids hug him.

"Si…Manny, Elena, Juan. Dónde están es Lovi, Feli, Ludwig, Lizzy, y Gilbert?" he asked the kids. Maneul whimpered and looked down while the older children copied.

"They were gone this morning. We haven't seen them since." Maria's voice rang through the street that it made Antonio turn his head and look up.

"Miss Maria?" he asked innocently, his eyes shining. The alien looked like a small child, scared and lost, afraid of the future. Maria closed her eyes and kneeled down to Antonio's level.

"Lovino and the others are in danger…I feel it. Here, have this." She whispered as she dug into her apron pocket, pulling out a flimsy crucifix connected to a small chain. She reached over and put it around the Spaniard's neck before kissing him on the forehead.

"I know you are not part of this world…but please, let Him be by your side as you save those souls." She whispered, choking slightly. Antonio relished in the warm feeling of the motherly instincts Maria had, he slowly nodded. Maria smiled kindly before fisting on of her hands and slapping it over her tanned palm.

"Oh! You might need this too!" she said as she quickly ran back into her home. The children jumped off Antonio as he stood up, each one smiling at him.

"You still owe me a game." Maneul informed him, Antonio laughed lightly.

"Si, I'll play you as soon as I get back." He said happily.

Elena pouted, her honey eyes glistening. "Bring Lizzy back; we still need to talk about our weddings…"

Antonio smiled sadly and patted the girl's head, "Si, I will."

Juan only looked away and crossed his arms as Antonio heard the door open.

"Here you go~!" Maria chirped as a large wooden and metal monstrosity was dumped into Antonio's hands. The children screamed in fright and ran past him to hide behind their mother. Antonio looked at the thing in amazement as he lifted the heavy item up and let it shine in the sun.

"Wow! What is it?" he asked excited, this was huge! The children whimpered as Maria merely grinned.

"That." She pointed at the item. "Is a battle axe, passed down my family from generations to generations! But I want you to slice off those Mafia men with that thing until they're crying for their own mothers." She said with a happy tone, though she emitted an aura that made even her own children and the alien back away from.

Antonio swallowed before looking at this axe; it glistened with striking beauty that the alien never saw before. His senses shot him as he gave the weapon a swing, the children screamed loudly.

"Antonio! Don't swing that thing around us!" Maneul yelped. Antonio let the axe fall to the ground and the handle dangle on his finger tips as he smiled apologetically.

"Lo siento..." he mumbled and bowed. "Thank you so much Miss Maria!" he said as he lifted the axe again. Maria smiled and nodded.

"Well, go! Find little Lovi and Gilly! I need my teasing man back!" she said and shooed him off. Antonio only nodded and made a leaving smiled before he started down the streets and out of the town, the great axe trailing behind him.

The run to Lovino's house was not as long as Antoino thought it would be, but it was painful to his mustles as he had to carry and axe that was heavier than himself. But it was all paid off as he knew just off the hill was going ot be Lovino's home, maybe, just maybe. Lovino and the others got away and hid away in the safety of Lovino's home, and now they were eating tomatos and laughing. Antonio smiled at the thought.

"Please let me be right for once..." he begged the dark skies as he drew closer. But those hopes, those prayers, that sliver of maybes were shot down as the sight of the home meet his tearful torn emerald eyes. "This..can't be real..." he whispered.

The same house that so many memories stood was now a skeleton of burnt wood and rubble. The garden was now a black bunch of stalks, growing black and shriveled fruits that the devil would bask in. The roof was no more and the walls joined in piling up the sides of the skeleton. Antonio shivered as he got closer, his feet crunching under ashes and debris.

"T-they did this…" he whispered hotly, his axe limp at his side. The couch he slept on was now just a pile of wet ashes. The beautiful kitchen didn't exist anymore, just it's ugly and worn body stayed. Antonio was thoroughly disgusted in his sights of the one beautiful home and made steps deeper into the home, but stopped as the sound of broken glass met his ears. He carefully looked down and removed his foot.

It was that picture he first ever saw of Feli and Lovi; they looked younger than he originally thought in this picture than he last saw. They looked so innocent….the alien bent forward and picked up the burnt frame, wiping away the soot with his thumb. He slowly closed his eyes and tightened his hold on the axe he held.

"I, Antonio Fernandez Carriedo, pledge to get Lovino back." He said to himself and dropped the picture, "Or die trying…"

Clapping…

He froze as clapping seemed to echo his world; he slowly turned to see a man of his later twenties. He had long and wavy blond hair with some stubble on his chin, and his eyes were a shade of blue, the same blue that enticed Antonio to crash onto this planet for, such a beautiful blue it was. The man's stance was flaunty, like he didn't fear the giant battle axe the distressed alien held tightly in his hand. The man finished his clapping and smirked.

"Bonjour, Monsieur Carriedo… I am Dr. Francis Bonnefoy…It's a pleasure to finally meet you."

Tsuki: Yep, now Francis is in the picture!
