Chapter 10 Surprises, surprises
Chapter 10 already! This is a pretty long story!
Brick & Ceceliah: with pretty short chapters.
whatever
DeDe: It is okay if you find out my name, but please don`t post it online
Oh! Special message:Sorry I took so long to update. I was too busy thinking and rethinking and rethinking my previous rethink-
Ceceliah- enjoy the chapter!
Hey! I wasn't done yet!
I will try and update sooner :)
Brick's pov
I was at McDonald's (yes, I am eating fast food again) sipping my Pepsi in my seat.I continually felt my eyes drifting towards the window, even though I did not want to look out.
"Hey Brick. How`s Ceceliah?" Buttercup slid into the booth across the table.
"She`s fine... Why do you ask?"
"Oh" She switched her smoothie from one hand to the other and looked me in the eye. "You seem to be her older brother now or something"
She leaned forward and sipped her drink, placing her elbow on the table. I sat back and watched her, waiting for her to continue.
" You do know that Lizzie keeps asking Ceceliah about you, right?" She put her drink down and grabbed a french fry from the tray
I shrugged. I didn`t care that much about Lizzie "the most popular in school" (notice that I put quotations there). All I cared about was graduating and getting the hell out of there.
I started putting my food in the trash, until I heard a voice behind me.
"Do you want your fries?"
Lizzie`s Pov-
It was lunch and I sighed heavily, listening to the soft sound of Mackenszie`s voice as she actually tried to help me with punett squares.
Which I still don't understand.
" ...So after you create your box" she whispered " You 'label' it. TT, and Tt, the homozygous and heterozygous pair of genes from each parent."
I slapped my hands on the table, startling her from her trance and snapping her to reality.
Her pink, nicely polished fingers slowly pushed her glasses further up her nose as she stated up at me in her innocent way. I mentally rolled my eyes at her and stood up, plastering my best fake smile upon my face as I did so.
"You are such a good teacher"I slowly drew my words out into the air "that I don't need you to teach me anymore for today"
" But Lizzie" she said, daring to look me in the eye, " you've already missed" she counted something in her head " about 5 days of tutoring"
" But I alway make it up by coming after school!"
" But Lizzie" she said, glancing down at the textbook in front of her and then back up at me "I miss lunch just to help you during free period, and the point of me doing so is so then you can graduate."
Oh, just shut the fuck up. Please!
" I'll come after school." I stooped down low to pick up my bag and stood up straight, my bag swung over my shoulder, and looked her dead in the eye.
"With the librarian being my witness, I promise"
Running her pink fingers through her curled bangs, she sighed and looked at me.
" Oh alright. But only if you come after school." She began to pack up her things as I walked over to the Library's entrance.
Hehe
Bitch.
I walked over to Ceceliah's locker as she was just about to leave.
"Hey! " I called out to her. Many others turned to look at me with hope that I was calling to them and not her, the schools 'untouchable'.
Her blonde curls softly bounced in that way that I envied as she turned to look at me.
"Hay is for horses" she said softly as I reached her. I hated her for her humor. I would actually consider us as enemies sometimes.
" How are you?" She softly whispered. " Are you going to ask me about Brick." She paused to make a slight emphasis. " Again?"
I laughed as we turned around the bend. " No, I just wanted to check on my favorite junior." Someone had bumped into me.
That fucking pervert, Butch.
He would never leave me alone and rumor has that he has peeked through the window way in the corner of the girls' locker room with his goons once or twice.
I rolled my eyes at him as he flashed a goofy grin at me and nodded respectively at Ceceliah. She nodded back as a response and turned to looked forward again.
He, Brick ( and maybe even me) were the only ones to give her respective in the school. We prevent her from getting bullied,( Me mostly) and humiliated.
We walked into the cafeteria, which was practically filled with students waiting to go outside. As we walked in received many bows from my admirers.
Ceceliah received many dark looks that she seemed to- to ingore. Her cold , blue eyes shot daggers at many people as we walked past. Her pace quickend. I decided to do a quick fashion check on her - snug, beauiful white high heeled boots hugged her calves perfectly as she strutted past the tables. She wore the school uniform red skirt with slightly noticeable red shorts- depending on which angle you were looling at her from. She wore the school shirt- white, with the usual breast pocket underneath a light white sweater to keep you warm with all the air conditioning in the school. Daring eyes slowly wandered and lingering eyes were kept at her emotionless face.
I felt like knocking the perverts out with my own two hands, but I resisted. Those anger management classes seemed to be working well.
Too well
But it's only a few lingering eyes right?
Not really anything to worry about...
Right?
I separated ways with Ceceliah (although I worry about her, she could stain my popularity)
My appearance was rejoiced as I came to a stop at my table.
14 eyes watched me as I sat down at my seat, which was quickly dusted off by my entourage, with a pillow placed on top of it.
I was dying to talk to my friends about him, the hunk of the school.
And he, my practically-is-almost-will-be-soon-
Ahh. It almost hurts to say it!
Boyfriend
I tapped on the table, drawing everyone's attention towards moi.
"Isn't Brick just like- the hottest guy ever!?" I squealed.
There were nods of excitement as my words filled the air around us.
"Know what I heard?" said Stephanie, one of my best friends in the group.
"What? I leaned forward to hear her.
"Rumor has it that he is now' she paused to add suspense into her words ' captain of the swin club!"
All of us got out of our seats with screams and shouts of joy.
We strutted over to were he was sitting and I sat right down across from him, lovingly staring at his bored expression as he sipped his Pepsi looking at some papers.
I leaned far over the table, trying to seduce him and look at his papers at the same time. He glared at me and swept the papers into a clumsy pile, accidentaly bumping his seat into my friends, who smiled at him cheerfully.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!" he hissed at me.
His face was flustered and red, which was only adding more to his cuteness.
I smiled and rumpled his hair. He slapped my hand away from his head and stood up.
I straightened myself out and stood up tall, trying to impress him with my height.
"Hey" I said, starting to become angry." Where do you think you're going?"
He rolled his eyes at me and started walking away, muttering something under his breath.
"Why do you keep running away Brick?" I started to quicken my pace towards him.
He stopped so suddenly it startled me and the others.
I slowly reached for his firm, muscular arm and slowly ran my fingers over his arm.
"Why won't you leave me alone? " he said " I can't even use the bathroom without you knocking on the door. His body tensed and I knew what was coming.
I tightened my grip on him as he aggressively swept his arm up, lifting my feet high in the air. I gulped as he shook his arm, rattling my brain. He leaned in close and I could smell the mint mixing with the Pepsi in his breath.
"I will say this and I will say this once: LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE"
He dropped his arm to let me get down. When I did, he turned and walked away.
When he turned around the corner I spun around and giggled with my friends.
He's such a keeper
THE NEXT DAY, In Mr. Hangwoth's Chorus class
Brick-
"Class, today I would like you to meet Blossom Utoniom, a new student here at our school. I trust that you would give her the same respect that you would give to the principal, okay?' There were whispers around the room as the girl was briefly inspected. "since I trust that you won't talk Blossom, I've decided that you could sit next to Brick. Brick, could you please raise your hand?"
My hand stopped dead in mid air as she turned to look at me.
My first thought?
Wow.
She had dark, ruby red eyes that seemed to shine. Her boots were high heeled and added a certain sexiness to her legs. Her skin was as white and as pure as freshly fallen snow. Her hair color fell between silver and pure white, which fell in beautiful locks all the way down to her ankles. Her breasts were somewhere between C and D. She looked around 5'9 with the boots on her but her normal height looked about 5'7 or 5'8. She had ample hips that were hard not to notice.
She started towards the stairs, and I felt my heart pound as I watched her reach the steps, then sit in the empty seat next to me. I stared at her, my face turning red. She then turned and looked at me.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" she asked. Her breath was cool and minty and her voice was smooth and seductive.
Nice.
I smiled and ran my fingers through my hair.
"Because you're beautiful." I simply stated. ( tfios! Squee!)
Her eyes widened a bit, then a slight color came to her cheeks, only enlarging my smile.
She turned her head to the front, refusing to look me in the eye.
"She likes me" I thought. I turned my attention to the front of the room, but I couldn't stand not looking at her seemingly innocent face. I could feel eyes on me anod turned my head to only see Ceceliah looking with (very) wide eyes and Blossom and Lizzy shootong daggers at me and Blossom, her eyes darting around quickly.
"Now that we are all settled in class " said Mr. Hangwoth as he quickly walked to his desk."we can now start presentations"
There were whispers of excitement around the auditorium as Mr. Hangwoth pulled up something on his computer.
"Now who would like to start us off by going first?" He said, looking at the class with papers in his hand.
"Nobody? Hmm?" He paused, giving us a second or two to raise our hand. "Okay then, I'll just randomly pick out people from this pile.
There were gasps around the room as they realized just what was about to happen.
"No, no, no, no Mr. Hangwoth I'll go first just please don't randomly pick out people!"
"Mr. Hangwoth, dude, you've got to be kidding, no, please!"
There were pleads and shouts of agony as Mr. Hangwoth pulled out a random rubric from the pile.
So, I'm pretty sure that some of you are thinking, "Wht the hell are you guys yelling at your teacher to not pick out rubrics from a pile?" Well, the thing is that if you get picked first out of the pile, you get a minus 20 points from your final grade for the semester. So then if you get, let's say an average of a C+. If you get a C+ and you got randomly picked first, you would get an F for your final grade because it's worth 40 percent of your grade.
And nobody would want that to happen to them.
Mr. Hangwoth sighed and placed the pile of rubrics onto his desk in the upper right corner of the auditorium, quickly quieting the other students down. He placed his hand under his chin and looked at Blossom, raising an eyebrow at her.
She just blinked at him, not confused at all.
"Blossom, I wonder if you could do this for me' he paused and a slight murmur from the students was heard. 'I wonder' he started again, then stopped and tapped his chin. He turned around and walked to his desk from center stage. He pulled out a piece of paper, scribbling something onto it then, attached it to his clip board, walking back over to center stage, tucking the clip board under his and. ' I wonder if you could think of a song that you could sing well enough to impress me and save every one from failing grades for this last semester."
There were gasps of surprise as everyone looked at Blossom , who shrugged and was completely unfazed by the attention she was receiving.
"Okay" She said, taking in a sharp inhale.
There were cheers and whistles as Blossom walked past me and went down the stairs, not bothering to look anyone in the eye.
Once she reached the stage, slowly slid over to the piano and then dragged it out to the center stage, along with the bench and sat down. I caught a glimpse iof her face and saw a determined look in her eye. It was cute, the way she was so confident and determined.
i just hope that she doesn't get beat down that way.
As she lifted the piano cover, Mr. Hangwoth spoke up, but I couldn't hear him. All I could hear was the piano keys as she slid her fingers over them, quickly doing some chords.
Mr. Hangwoth stopped speaking. He walked over to his seat in the front row and looked over his glasses at Blossom.
"So, Miss Utonium, what song do you plan on playing for us today?"
"The flight of the bumblebee"
Mr. Hangwoth appeared to be taken aback, his mouth open and his glasses slightly falling off the bridge of his nose.
He quickly pulled himself together, placing his glasses back onto their rightful place, his eyes closed.
"Well, I can't stop you." he slid his sleeve so he could see his watch.
'Begin!"
A flurry of notes filled the air as soon as his words reached the air. My eyes widened and I leaned forward to see if she was actually playing the piano. She was. She finally hit the last stood up, walked down the steps and swiftly sat back in her seat.
Mr. Hangwoth had started talking again but I couldn't hear him I was too busy looking- no- staring at Blossom.
I gulped As I watched her stare at her boots.
Have I fallen for her?
Again?
