Dani looked down at her shaking hands excitedly, "I- I'm alive? I'm alive! I- I mean we," she frowned at Sarah, who was squirming and turning pallor by the second, "We're alive..."
"Yeah...glad you care," She grumbled irritably, "I can't breathe...I can't-"
"What?"
"I'm going to puke!"
"Eaw! TMI!" Dani stumbled into the prickly branches behind her, "Keep your sick away from me!"
Sarah turned in the other direction and gagged into the much-too-close-for-comfort wall of leaves and twigs, though nothing came out. She wasn't expecting to actually throw up, of course, considering her stomach seemed to be convulsing from the lack of food already. She dug her hands into her knees as black specks filled her vision, "Get us out of here!"
"Okay, okay! Yeesh...You almost die with someone and you think you know them."
The young time lady moaned and she began clawing at the shrubbery once more, but it only seemed to grow back.
"We're screwed."
"Oh, would you-"
"I don't know what to do, okay? I really just don't know! Maybe it's ticklish!" Dani remarked snidely as she jokingly brushed against the bush. Suddenly, a rumble from the ground knocked both girls from their feet -a roar from the belly of the beast. "oh...my...god," Dani furrowed her brow, seeming to suddenly realize something.
"What now?"
The lost girl began laughing like an utter maniac, "It's alive!"
"What...?"
Dani just yanked her newfound friend by the arm and began to viciously stomp and kick at the plants.
There was a rumble so loud that Jeremy felt he had to cover his ears to keep from going deaf. "What was that?" He panicked with widened eyes at the Doctor.
"Somebody woke it up..." he frowned.
"Woke what up?"
"The maze. Grab onto something!"
"How do you wake a maze?"
"I'll explain later, just hold on!"
The road beneath them began to rumble and stretch and the path slanted dramatically, making them both fall over. Jeremy grabbed onto a slightly out of place brick and held for dear life.
