Here you guys go chapter 10 is up and I just got to say this chapter is thanks to my boss who gave me four hours worth of breaks at work one day. Yeah I was bored shitless and had to do something so I wrote this.
The next few days passed the same way. I spent most of my time relaxing with Richie, meditating or when I could move goofing off with Luffy and Usopp. Vivi still eyed me warily and Sanji still glared at me but apart from that everything else was great. My injuries had healed enough that I could easily walk and move around, albeit with some pain. I spent a lot of time meditating, trying to train my haki, but to be honest I was pretty terrible at it my mind would always wander or I would get distracted or too bored but I wanted to learn haki, it was the closest I would ever get to learning magic. Hawkeye had also mentioned in one of our lessons that people would unconsciously use haki to shape some of their attacks, it was a purely cosmetic affect but it was still awesome.
Then it started to snow..."Fuck we're coming up to Drum," I whispered to myself. Normally this wouldn't be bad I mean Drum is where Chopper is and Chopper's awesome but we only get Chopper to join because he helped heal Nami and Nami's not sick. We don't need a doctor. Fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck.
"Chilly out isn't it?" a voice asked. Fuck that's that jester, what's his name Chess or something? I guess it was a bit cold, I didn't have my coat any more since it was ruined by Zoro and that painter girl but it wasn't that cold. Fuck we're close to Drum how do I convince everyone to stop there?
"I really should stop getting lost in thought," I mumbled to myself as I noticed all of the soldiers surrounding us.
"Don't worry you girly bastard us men will handle them," Sanji shot at me.
"What did you call me you fucking perv?" I growled out completely forgetting about the soldiers surrounding us.
"Ah guys it's not the time for that," Usopp said fearfully.
I gave a weak sigh, Usopp was right it wasn't the time to fight each other unless..."Hey perv I bet I can take out more of these guys than you," I challenged.
"Bring it on you girly bastard," Sanji shot back.
"Oi I'll take out more than both of you," Zoro added joining in our challenge.
"Shishishi sounds like fun," Luffy laughed.
"Now now you can't really be thinking about fighting my men can you? We do have you outnumbered after all," an arrogant voice stated more than asked.
We all looked around confused to find Wapol standing there right in the middle of us. "Where the fuck did he come from?" I asked in confusion. Everyone just shrugged. "Wow we really need to pay more attention...What ever ten points for whoever takes down his fat ass," I called before charging forward.
I ran along the soldiers heads and shoulders drawing my gunblade as I did. I left it in gun form and with a forward flip I used it to club one soldier over the head before I landed on another's face and sent him crashing to the floor. "Two points," I called out.
"Oi you bastard don't just start," Sanji called out knocking one soldier out.
"It's your fault for not being ready," Zoro called as he cut down three soldiers.
"Shishishishishi," Luffy laughed. I didn't even bother counting how many he took out...I think he won.
"I'll just leave it to you guys," Usopp said fearfully.
Once surrounded by soldiers I used Shakushi to disappear into their rank and weaving through them I bashed each and every soldier around me over the head. Let's see five, ten, fifteen plus those guys and the two from before..."Nineteen," I called out.
"Twenty two," Sanji called out smugly.
"Twenty seven," Zoro boasted.
Richie let out four loud roars. "I get Richie's points as well," I called out "so that means I'm on Twenty thr...twenty four," I shouted taking another guy out.
"You don't get his points your bastard," Sanji shouted.
"You're just upset that I'm beating you," I smirked.
"No I'm upset that you're cheating," Sanji growled.
"Gum gum WHIP!" Luffy shouted. Instantly all of us Straw Hat's ducked as Luff's leg came flying past and all of the enemies were sent flying off to sea.
"...I think Luffy wins," I eventually got out.
"Shitty rubber bastard ruining my fun," Sanji growled.
"You're just upset because you came last," I smirked.
"As if. You and your shitty lion cheated," Sanji growled looking ready to kick me.
I shrugged "whatever you say...loser."
"Stop it both of you," Zoro ordered.
"Spoilsport," I pouted but I did as he said making my way back to Richie...poor guy he got some blood on his fur. "Come on I'll get some water and a cloth and help you clean it off okay," I told him with a small smile.
"What happened out there?" Nami asked as I walked into the kitchen.
"Just some idiots trying to attack," I said simply as I opened up cupboard after cupboard.
"Is anyone hurt?" Vivi asked worried.
"Just the perv's pride," I grinned.
"You really shouldn't call him that," Vivi said reproachfully "it isn't nice."
I ignored her, letting out a shout of triumph as I located a bucket. Placing it under the tap I started to fill it up with water. "Hey Nami," I began a little nervously I admit, only a little though. "We're coming up to an island that we need to stop at for a few days, think you can convince Luffy?"
Nami and Vivi looked at me suspiciously. "We need to head straight to Alabasta," Vivi pointed out.
"Why do we need to stay there?" Nami asked.
"Secret," was my only reply.
"Why won't you tell us?" Vivi asked getting angry "are you working for Baroque Works are you here to slow us down?" Wow she was really hung up in the Baroque Works thing, there are other secret organisations out there you know.
I ignored the anger in her voice, it was perfectly reasonable after all. "Look telling you could have numerous untold consequences and besides you wouldn't believe me anyway," I told her calmly.
"Sorry Fairys but without an actual reason we can't stop," Nami apologised. I knew she was actually a little sorry but she did have a point. Hmmm well I have a few hours to think on it.
"No problem, I can't blame you there is a country to save after all," I smiled before throwing a cloth in my bucket and heading out to Richie.
It took a good twenty to thirty minutes to clean Richie and in that time I came up with a plan only problem is if it would work or not, if it didn't then I would be screwed. I knew I could simply just tell Luffy that we HAD to stop off at Drum and he would do it, he had faith that I would do what was best after all but I couldn't do that to everyone else. If they didn't want to stop then I wouldn't force them.
I had my plan it would work, I would make it work and hopefully no one would hate me for it, especially Richie.
"Hey guys there's an island up ahead," Usopp called out gaining everyone's attention.
"An island really?" Luffy called out excitedly "do they have meat?"
"We're going around it we can't stop off here. We need to get to Alabasta," Nami called out.
"Awww," Luffy pouted but he didn't disagree with her we did have to help Vivi after all but we also needed to get Chopper to join the crew.
"Hey guys," I called out making sure I had all of their attention. "I have some business on that island, mind dropping me off I'll catch up later."
"What are you planning you girly bastard?" Sanji asked. I didn't snap at him for calling me girly as it was a fair question and everyone was staring at me waiting for an answer.
"Can't tell you guys but I promise I'll see you in Alabasta, I have to be there when Luffy kicks Sichibukai ass after all," I grinned.
I felt Rich nudge my side obviously letting me know he'll come along with me. "Sorry Richie," I said a little sadly "but you won't be able to come with me, don't worry I'll be back before you know it," I said this time my grin was a little strained.
"Is this going to become a habit?" Zoro asked.
"I hope not," I told him "but I can't make any promises."
"Okay," Luffy said simply.
"What?" I asked in surprise.
"Okay go, we'll see you in Alabasta," he said simply.
"Thanks," I smiled. "I promise this is important and I'll see you guys in Alabasta."
"We'll drop you off at the edge of the island then we'll leave," Nami said.
"Are you sure you'll be alright?" Usopp asked nervously.
"I'll be fine," I grinned "I'm too awesome to die after all."
"Good riddance," Sanji muttered, I think he liked me.
With all of that said they kindly dropped me off on the edge of Drum and after a few goodbyes they all left. "Any reason you are still here?" I asked.
A low growl was the only answer Richie gave me.
I sighed "fine fine you win, you can stay. Pushy lion," I muttered. His response was to give me a lick. Despite myself I gave a small grin. I hoped everything would work out because truthfully I had no idea how I would be able to get his big ass to Alabasta as well.
I jumped on Richie's head and sat down "come on let's go," I said "just follow along the coast, I'll know what I'm looking for when I see it." And off we went.
...
"We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz," I sang out after a few hours "and they remained the best of friends for years and years and years," yeah I don't know the words.
There it was just what I was looking for, a tiny boat like thing tied to a larger boat, guess Richie would be able to get to Alabasta after all, and hanging over the edge of the boat asleep was a man. "Hey wake up!" I shouted.
He just let out a loud snore.
"Richie if you will?" I asked my faithful lion politely.
One loud roar later and the man was startled awake before falling off his ship and landing heavily on the beach. "Guess I fell asleep," he muttered pulling himself to his feet. He then looked at me with his bleary eyes "who are you?"
I grinned "the name's Fairys and I'm a part of your brother's crew. I have a favour to ask of you."
"What is it?" he asked as he gazed at Richie with a look of...hunger?
"I have some work here for the day but I was hoping that you'd give me a ride to Alabasta with you afterwards."
"Forget it," he yawned "I'm done here, if you want a ride we leave now."
That was not part of the plan...Fuck what the hell do I do? I know "it'll help your brother and I'll be able to help you find him easier," I offered.
"And just how do you know we are brothers?" he asked suspiciously "He's not the type to ever talk about it and you haven't even mentioned his name."
"His name's Luffy, yours is Ace and let's just say I know things."
"I don't believe you," was his reply.
Guess I'll have to prove it "Portgas D. Ace son of Portgas D. Rouge and Gol D. Ro...woah fireball!" I shouted falling back off of Richie to avoid the fireball.
"Don't mention that bastards name again," he growled suddenly standing over me. "Luffy wouldn't have told you that. Just who are you and why shouldn't I kill you?"
"I know something else, something that you would die to know," I told him trying desperately not to piss myself "if you give me a ride then I'll tell you later."
"Tell me now," he ordered "and then I'll think about it."
I shook my head fearfully, there is no way I wanted to fight Fire-Fist Ace but I couldn't agree to that "I'm sorry I can't, not yet but I promise it's worth your while."
Ace glared at me for what felt like hours "fine but hurry up," he growled.
I'm so, so, so, so, so, glad that that worked but did I have to piss off the scary fireman?
