Chapter 10

.

ELLIOT'S APARTMENT

"What the fuck do you mean you got shot?!" Mairym asked nonchalantly. Elliot was out on the Balcony drinking and she stood there in the entryway filing her nails

"Gun. Bullet. BANG!" Elliot simplified as. Mairym rolled her eyes.

"Can we have one night where you're not drunk?"

"Can we have one night where you don't fucking annoy me?" he spat and took a long gulp from his glass, quickly refilling it.

"I don't get it, how did you get shot on your way to see Olivia?" she inquired, stepping out, barefoot onto the balcony to join Elliot; the thin, lacy teddy she wore doing little to shield her from the crisp autumn air.

"Don't fucking say her name!" he warned as he downed his second drink, then began pouring a third.

"Oh my god! That bitch shot you!"

"Shut up"

"She did, didn't she?" he slammed the bottle down on the small bistro table.

"I said, shut the fuck up!"

"Or what? You know, I am sick of you and your obsession with perfect fucking Olivia!"

"So help me god, Mairym!" he warned

"I mean, she's made it perfectly clear that she doesn't want you; got herself some new dick to prove it but you can't stay away!" She continued ranting as Elliot's anger grew. "Hell, she hates you so much, she didn't even want to you know that she's full of your baby." She laughed mockingly. "And to top it all off, she fucking shot you and you're still acting like she's sacred when she's probably somewhere laughing at your sorry ass and getting her brains fucked out by the new piece!"

Elliot threw his glass and lunged at Mairym, grabbing her by the throat and pushing her body over the railing of the balcony, the nail file she had been holding dropped and fell 19 floors to the ground. "Understand something; I own you, you piece of shit! And when I say shut the fuck up, I mean it!"

"Elliot PLEASE!" she screamed, clawing at his arm, scared to death that in his drunken state, he'd drop her.

"SHUT UP!" He yelled and leaned her over even further as she cried hysterically. "What goes on between me and my wife is none of your fucking business! You don't ask about it, you don't talk about it!"

"OH GOD, PLEASE DON'T DROP ME!" she begged.

"You're still talking!" he sneered and pushed her back still further. Her heart was pounding in her chest at an alarming rate as tears fell from her eyes. She wanted to continue begging him to pull her up, but she knew that if she spoke again… instead, she tried with all her might to steady her breathing.

Dear god, don't let him drop me; please god, please! She cried in her head

"Now, are you ready to do what the fuck I say?"

"YES!" she screamed

"Oh for fuck's sake you dumb bitch!" he said as he rolled his eyes and pulled her up but didn't release his hold on her neck. Her body trembled as her bladder released and urine ran down her legs onto the balcony floor while Elliot looked down in disgust. "Gimme one reason why I shouldn't rub your nose in it!" he growled. She didn't answer, just continued to cry hysterically. "Now you choose to shut up?" he grinned then let her go; dropping her limp body to the ground sobbing as he turned and walked away, grabbing his jacket and walking out of the apartment.

.

TREVOR'S APARTMENT LATE THAT NIGHT

"Olivia, stress can cause all kinds of problems, including developmental delays for the baby, even premature labor. Whatever is suddenly happening that's got you so worked up, you need to get rid of it or it could kill you both!"

The doctor's words rang in her head all night. She couldn't close her eyes. couldn't get the scene out of her head that she'd had to shoot someone; it's been years since the last time she's pulled the trigger on her gun and she christened the moment by shooting Elliot. To say that life had taken a strange turn was an understatement at best.

She let out a sigh, rubbing her small belly when she felt her daughter give a gentle kick from within; ever since the baby had first done it a week ago, it seemed to be her favorite thing, as she was constantly making her tiny presence known.

"You should be sleeping, baby girl." Baby girl… she couldn't help but smile. "I'm having a little girl… a daughter." she mused, suddenly giggling to herself when she thought back to her childhood and what a handful she had been when Trevor entered the living room.

"I thought some tea might help you sleep."

"Thank you baby." She said as she accepted the mug and placed it on the end table as he sat down beside her. She immediately snuggled into his arms.

"You wanna talk about it?" he asked while rubbing her belly through the thin tank top she wore.

"Not really."

"I bet you'll feel better."

"You would too. You've been so tense all night." She said as she sat up and got behind him on her knees.

"I'm not tense." He protested. She paid him no mind and went about pulling his tee shirt off over his head.

"Is that why I can count the knots?" she said and kissed his neck before she began massaging his shoulders. He let out a deep sigh.

"That feels amazing!"

"I know" she smiled. "Talk to me"

"Where to begin?" he wondered aloud, closing his eyes and reveling in the feel of her soft, yet strong hands kneading his flesh.

"Doesn't matter; just let it out."

"Just that easy?"

"Just that easy" there was a brief pause and then:

"I hate that stupid son of a bitch you were married to! I know that I promised you that I would not react to him but if I accidentally on purpose beat him until he stopped breathing and then tossed him out a window, the only thing I'd be sorry for is the fact that I'd be locked away from you and the baby."

"Which was why I made you promise in the first place."

"I know and I get it, I do. But I was raised to believe that a man takes care of his woman; protects her. Me doing nothing makes this idiot think that he do whatever the hell he wants without consequence." He took one of her hands and kissed her palm."There's no telling what he could've done tonight."

"But he didn't." she reasoned as she climbed onto his lap, wrapping her legs around him. "I'm fine and the baby is fine." She said, lifting his head so that his eyes met hers.

"But you're not. You heard what the doctor said about the stress you've been under and what could happen… baby, you wouldn't have any stress if it weren't for him interfering."

"Well, I'll just have to ignore him then, won't I? And for the record, you do take care of me. I never feel as safe as I do when I'm with you and you don't need to prove your manhood to me by kicking the shit out of Elliot"

"Olivia, so help me God, if he comes near you again"

"I think he got the message loud and clear tonight." He gently caressed her face while his fingers ran over her belly then slowly pulled her into him, their lips meeting in a sensual, deliberate kiss as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer. She felt his tongue slide between her lips and opened them wider to give him better access while she began moving her hips against him. He pulled away from the kiss long enough to pull her tee shirt off and toss it behind the couch before reclaiming her mouth with even more fervor.

With pregnancy making her body extra sensitive, the feeling of his skin against her nipples was quickly sending her into overdrive and she moaned into his mouth. He got the message and wasted no time standing up and heading for the bedroom with her body wrapped around him.

...

"I'm gonna come!" she cries through hitched breath, just barely above a whisper and it drives him insane with lust.

"I can feel you!" he says, staring intensely into her eyes and runs his thumb over her lips while he continues to move inside her; she flicks over it with her tongue before drawing it into her mouth and sucking.

He knows her body, understand her movements; every one of them and knows exactly what they mean; like now, the way she pulls her knees further back when she's on the verge of a climax; he knows that she wants him deeper inside her while she comes and he doesn't hesitate to oblige, slowing his powerful thrusts to slow, deep strokes that cause her to whimper and her body to tremble as she falls over the edge and cries his name. He knows that he's exhausted her and there won't be multiple rounds tonight so he lets go and comes with her; afterwards, she quickly falls into a peaceful sleep in his arms.

When he was sure that she was in a deep slumber, he slipped out of bed and threw on some sweats, leaning over to kiss her bare shoulder before he left his bedroom, grabbed his keys and left the apartment.

.

BRIAN AND ALEX' APARTMENT

"You're still awake" Brian said, surprised to find Alex there when he entered the kitchen after just getting home.

"Your son is hungry!" she said and continued rummaging through the refrigerator, pausing to kiss her husband when he walked over to her. "What's wrong?" she asked as she took a jar and a container from the fridge and took it over to the counter.

"Who says something's wrong?" he asked

"I do. Spill it!" she said, popping the lid on the container.

"You're gonna heat that, right?" Brian asked when he saw her reach for a spoon.

"Nope."

"Cold lasagna?"

"Want some?"

"I'm good." He assured her as he took a seat on the stool beside her; his stomach turned when he saw her spread strawberry jam on top of the cold casserole and dig in.

"I'm selling my half of the business." Alex paused for a split-second and then just as quickly…

"Ok."

"Ok? That's it?" he was shocked that her response had been so precise.

"Yeah, I mean you sound like your mind is made up and it's not as if I don't understand your reasons; I know how tumultuous the situation been with you and Elliot and I also know that you don't make decisions lightly. I trust you."

"Thanks babe; that means a lot."

"I am curious though" she said as she continued eating "what was the proverbial straw that made you snap?"

"You mean aside from him breaking in to Liv's place and trying to attack her? Oh, let's see. The fact that he has no remorse and blames her, he has no respect for our friendship, he's an arrogant son of a bitch and if that wasn't enough; you ready for this? He accused me of sleeping with Liv behind his back!"

"He what?"

"Yeah. He believes it's the reason she wouldn't come to Chicago last spring."

"He cannot be serious; you and Liv? An affair?"

"And he says it's fine since he had my wife, it was only fair that I had his." Alex froze inside, but outside she showed no reaction.

"Ah, the ramblings of a drunken mad man." She mused.

"Don't give it another thought." He said as he took her hand in his own. "I know that you'd never do that; my baby's a good girl!" he said and leaned in kissed her. "Your lips taste good." He said, licking his own.

"Yeah?" she said and got up, putting her arms around him."

"Yeah" he kissed her again. "So, you think little man is asleep?" he asked, rubbing her belly.

"He's not moving so I'd say yes. Why?"

"Because I'm gonna take his mother upstairs and do some really nasty things to her; things that he probably shouldn't hear."

"I like the sound of that. Why don't you go and get out of these clothes while I put this away and I'll be up in two minutes."

"See you in two." He kissed her again before heading up the kitchen stairs. When he was out of sight, she let out the breath she had been holding and ran her hand down her face as she leaned against the counter.

"That bastard's trying to destroy us all!" she whispered to herself, holding her belly.

.

ONE WEEK LATER, COURTHOUSE…

By the time the case went before a judge on the following week, and between Elliot's NYPD friends hiding details of the incident, a bunch of he said, she said and a ton of insinuation from both sides, the case looked like nothing more than a domestic dispute that had gotten out of hand. Elliot was charged with misdemeanor trespassing and was fined. He served no jail time and in spite of him trying to press charges against Olivia, she was cleared of any wrongdoing on her part for shooting him, the judge believing that she had taken necessary measure to protect herself and her baby from what she believed to be a threat to their safety.

Outside the courtroom, Olivia sat in the hall, visibly upset. Trevor sat with his arms around her trying to soothe her uneasiness and Casey and Alex offered their support.

"Liv, it'll be ok." Trevor promised

"How? He broke into my house, for God's sake, he was going to attack me and he just walks?"

"Honey, I know but don't upset yourself, it's not good for the baby." Casey said. She was kneeled in front of Olivia rubbing soothing circles on her bump. "Feel that?" she asked when the baby kicked beneath her palm. "She agrees with Aunt Casey." Olivia smiled. Alex finished with the phone call she was on and turned her head to look down the hall, noticing Elliot approaching with his lawyer. The two men stopped, shook hands, and the attorney went off in the opposite direction.

"Liv; guys, why don't we get out of here" Alex said nervously causing heads to turn in the direction she was facing. As Elliot got closer, Trevor, Nick and Fin all stood up, forming a barrier around Olivia and boring into Elliot with cold, vicious stares.

"No hard feelings, Liv!" he said in a menacing tone as he stopped in front of the group; a sinister smirk on his face. "Nick, Fin… Trevor, is it?" The three men shook their heads and grinned. Casey's eyes focused on the splints that covered three of the fingers on Elliot's left hand and wondered how he'd broken his fingers.

"You believe the balls on this one?" Nick fumed.

"Big ones." Elliot retorted "Liv knows." No one saw it coming, but before anyone could stop it, Trevor delivered a right hook to Elliot's face that knocked him completely on his ass! Olivia suddenly felt her stomach turning.

"You still don't know when to quit, do you?" Olivia quickly got to her feet and pushed Fin and Nick apart to reach Trevor.

"Trevor, please. Let's just go" she said softly as she tugged his arm. "Please, I don't feel well." She whispered to him; that caught his attention in spite of how badly he wanted to thrash Elliot who was now pulling himself up from the floor.

"Are you in pain?" he asked as he helped her sit back down.

"This isn't over!" Elliot threatened, wiping the blood from his mouth and walked away. Trevor paid him no attention, his only thoughts being of Olivia and the baby.

"You take care of Liv, we'll make sure he gets the hell outta here!" Fin said to Trevor "I woulda knocked his ass out too!" he said in a much lower register as he and Nick turned and followed Elliot out. Trevor grinned before turning back to Olivia

"Honey, are you ok?" Alex asked.

"Yeah, just nauseous."

"Try taking a couple of deep breaths" Trevor suggested. He held her hand and rubbed her back as she did. Just then, a young woman approached.

"Excuse me, Miss Benson?" Olivia looked up at her.

"Yes?"

"You've been served" she said as she handed Olivia an envelope and walked away.

"Wait, what is this?" Olivia called after the woman but she kept going and soon disappeared from sight. Casey and Alex looked over at Olivia as she opened the envelope and removed the papers inside to read them. A look of shock, then defeat registered on her face.

"Honey what is it?" Trevor said. She handed him the papers to read for himself as Casey and Alex looked at each other then at Olivia.

"Liv?" Casey asked.

"He's suing for custody." Olivia said as Trevor stared at the papers, dumbfounded. She felt her nausea worsen and she knew that she was going to be sick as she got up and hurried to the bathroom.

"She'll be ok!" Alex assured Trevor and she and Casey went after Olivia as Trevor took his phone from his suit jacket and began dialing.

Olivia was on her knees throwing up in one of the stalls when Casey and Alex came through the door just seconds behind her.

"Case" Alex looked over to Casey.

"I got it, go." Casey said and began pulling paper towels from the dispenser and running them under cold water as Alex went to Olivia and got down beside her, holding her hair as she rubbed her back. "Liv it's ok." She soothed. Olivia took a few deeps breaths before her stomach forced her to vomit again. Casey squeezed the excess water from the towels and quickly brought them over to Alex who put them against Olivia's forehead as she and Casey helped her stand and Casey hit the lever on the toilet. Olivia made her way to the sink to throw water n her face and rinse her mouth. Alex handed her dry paper towels and she and Casey both stood off to the side, wondering what they should say to their friend to comfort her.

"Liv, even if he is the father, no judge in his right mind would give Elliot custody of a child!" Casey said.

"She's right. I mean, Elliot is as unstable as they come. Don't worry yourself."

"Don't worry myself?" she said angrily to Alex "No one is threatening to take your children away from you!" she yelled, wrapping her arms around her baby.

Trust me, you are not the only one that that psycho ex of yours is threatening and using your child to do it; we have a lot more in common than you realize. Alex wanted to say.

"Liv, I'm sorry. I didn't think." she apologized.

"No, Al I'm the one who should be sorry. I've been under so much stress and then I get these papers; I'm losing it!" Olivia declared. Casey put her arms around her and held her tight.

"Honey you have every right to feel overwhelmed" she said before pulling away. "But I promise you, there is no way he will ever get his hands on this little one!"

"He's just trying to scare you."

"Well it's working." Olivia confessed as a tear slid down her cheek and she quickly wiped it away. Alex put her arms around Liv and Casey and pulled them into a hug.

.

OLIVIA'S HOME LATER THAT AFTERNOON

"Are you sure I can't get you anything?" Trevor asked for the fourth time.

"Baby, I'm fine. Please, just lay with me." she said, reaching for him. He took her hand and climbed into bed with her, pulling her into his arms where she happily snuggled against him.

"Can he even do this?" she wondered out loud.

"We go to court and establish that there's a question of paternity, the judge won't even hear it until the baby's been tested."

"That gives us a few months but what if…"

"I am not letting him take this baby away from you."

"But if he's the father"

"It's not gonna happen even If he is. I talked to Travis, you know that this is his specialty and he's the best there is."

"Your brother?"

"Liv, we're family; that includes you and this baby, and family looks out for each other. He is more than happy to do this for us!" she suddenly burst into tears. "Baby, please don't cry."

"What they must think of me!" she sobbed." Her emotions were getting the best of her in the worst way these days.

"Baby I promise, no one thinks any less of you because of this, we all have the same goal in mind; to love and support you, whatever it takes. You're one of us now." he wiped her tears and smiled.

God, I wish he knew how ready I was for that to be true! She thought to herself.

"Am I?" She asked.

"In every way." He assured her as he brought her hand to his lips.

Except one. She wished, so lost in her own thoughts that she didn't notice what he did next.

"And I do mean every way!" he said and put her hand in her line of vision. What she saw made her eyes bulge and she completely lost her breath. She looked over at his smiling face and then back at the exquisite antique diamond ring that now adorned her left ring finger and she pinched herself.

"You're not dreaming" he laughed as she turned to face him.

"Is this…?" she was so excited, she couldn't think and had to remind herself to breathe.

"Depends on your answer.

"There's a question?" she asked nervously, trying not to cry. Of course there's a question! But is this really happening?

"There is." He replied as he caressed her face and stared lovingly into her eyes as they lay together face to face. "I won't bore you with a long speech, but I need for you to know that you are the single best thing that's ever happened to me and if I lived a thousand lifetimes, it still wouldn't be enough to tell you or show you just how much I love you; but I wanna try." She laughed as her tears fell. "Olivia Benson, will you please, please continue making me the happiest, luckiest, most blessed man alive and be my wife?"

"I thought you'd never ask!" she said, relieved. "Yes baby! Yes, I will be your wife!" she cried with every bit of the excitement she felt, as she climbed on top of him and kissed him deeply, passionately, and basking in the glow of this absolutely perfect moment!

.

ALEX' OB/GYN MIDTOWN…

Alex sat on the exam table in the thin hospital gown waiting for the doctor to come in while Brian paced around the room.

"God, I swear this kid is kicking in 2 places at the same time." Alex said as she held her belly, a look of discomfort on her face "I mean is he doing splits in there or what?" Brian chuckled and came over to the exam table, kissing her temple.

"I'm sorry babe." Just then , the doctor entered the room.

"So, are we ready to see baby?"

"We are and I'm so excited!" Alex said as she squeezed Brian's hand.

"Any concerns before we get started?"

"Al says the baby's kicking feels odd." Brian told the doctor.

"In what way?" The doctor asked.

"Lately, it feels like he's kicking from two different places at the same time; I know I'm being weird."

"You're not, and it's fine. We'll take a look and see what's going on."

...

"Alex? What if I told you that you were absolutely right about being kicked in two places at the same time?" the doctor asked while looking at the monitor.

.

ALEX AND BRIAN'S APARTMENT

"Twins?" Alex still couldn't believe it.

"Babe, aren't you happy about this?" Brian asked as he massaged her feet."

"I'm not anything about this; I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. 2 babies… that's 3 kids! Can we handle three kids?"

"Well, we can feed em, clothe, em, shelter, em and love em like there's no tomorrow; we're fine babe, our kids are fine. Life couldn't be better for us. Come here." She took her feet from his lap and moved to his end of the sofa, cradling her back against his chest and he wrapped his arms around her.

"This is scary."

"I know. But what did I tell you the day you told me that we were having Winnie and you were scared to death?"

"That as long as we love each other we can survive anything." She smiled at the memory.

"and I meant it. I know that we weren't prepared but I am damned excited."

"Just imagine, two little Brians running around." She said, he gave a hearty laugh

"Two little Brians, huh?"

"Yeah." She looked up at him, smiling. "Yeah; I hope my little guys look just like daddy. Especially those eyes."

"Winnie is pretty much all you. I guess it would be cool to have a couple of my own minis!" he cradled her bump in his hands.

"I feel guilty being this happy when Liv is going through hell with Elliot."

"He's a piece of work!"

"You have no idea. He had her served today after court."

"With what?"

"He's suing for custody of the baby."

"Are you kidding me? No judge in his right mind is gonna give him custody of that kid!"

"Try telling that to Liv, she's freaking out!"

"Can you blame her? That son of a bitch! He's just doing this to screw with her head!"

"He's getting exactly what he wants; she's scared." Alex told him

"We both know Liv's strong; she'll be fine and Trevor's a good guy, she doesn't need to worry."

"Babe if we ever broke up, would you ever go to such lengths to hurt me?"

"We're never gonna break up, but if we did and we somehow stopped loving each other, I love our kids too much to ever hurt their mother; you and me, we'll always be good."

"Even if you remarried?"

"Jesus, Al! You've already got me remarried?" He said, laughing.

"Just covering my bases."

"So, is she hot?" he joked.

"Very funny!" She grinned as he leaned in and kissed her sweetly. "I love you Cassidy!"

"Back at ya, Cassidy!" he said before reclaiming her lips with his kiss.

.

ELLIOT'S OFFICE…

"Yeah, I'll get those contracts out first thing tomorrow." Elliot said as Mairym walked in. "Yes. Looking forward to it." Before he could put the phone on the cradle…

"I'm gonna be late for my manicure, what do you want?"

"Not in the mood for your shit!"

"Yeah, cuz I'm ALWAYS in the mood for yours!" she said sarcastically and threw herself into one of his chairs.

"Sign this!" he demanded, handing her a pen and a legal document.

"What is it?" she asked, suspicious of what she was about to get into.

"It's a SIGN IT, OR GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY APARTMENT!"

"Jesus, do you always have to be a complete asshole?" she whined as she signed the document in front of her without bothering to read it. He took it away as soon as her signature was complete. "What was that?"

"Pre-nup. Says you get nothing when we get divorced."

"Divorce? Don't we have to be married to get divorced? And you call me dumb!"

"Put this on!" he tossed her a ring

"Is this your idea of a proposal?"

"No, because a proposal would imply that you have a choice." He told her matter-of-factly. She sighed and slipped the ring on her finger.

"Olivia's was better!" she pouted.

"You're not a diamond type of girl."

"Then what the hell is this?"

"Cubic Zirconia. You don't cast pearls before swine, baby!" he mocked then drank the remainder of what was in his glass.

"I hate you!"

"But you love the dough; congratulations, we're engaged!"

"Why all of a sudden?"

"Because, you are going to play the doting fiancé so that I get custody of my kid."

"What a minute, I didn't even want my own little bastard, so if you think for one second that I am gonna play mommy to that Bitch's brat…"

"What did you say?" he asked. She got up from her chair and stepped to where he sat on his desk, getting close so that he would hear her loud and clear.

"I said. I am not. Playing mommy. To that Bitch's –" before she could get the last word out, he slapped her hard across the face then stood up.

"Watch your fucking mouth!"

"What are you gonna do, incredible hulk? Dangle me from another ledge?"

"Maybe next time, I'll drop your skank ass!" he threatened and snatched her by the hair, kissing her hard on the mouth, before grabbing her neck and pushing her down onto his desk, flat on her back, leaving her legs dangling. He took his hand away long enough to reach under her short skirt and tear off her panties, stuffing them in her mouth then freed his cock and rammed it inside her, before pinning her by the neck again and pounding her as hard as he could. She was so turned on when he took her like this; she didn't care about the pain. He continued to fuck her until he felt himself coming; by then she had already had two incredible orgasms and felt her third coming when he suddenly pulled out and yanked her hard, by her hair, down to the floor and shoved his cock in her mouth where he came, shooting a huge load that she happily swallowed.

"Why don't you ever come inside me?"

"Because I don't want a kid with a whore. Now get the fuck outta here, I have work to do!"

"God, you are SO bipolar!" she screamed in frustration, grabbed her things and stormed out, slamming the door behind her.

.

ONE WEEK LATER, ALEX AND BRIAN'S APARTMENT

"We really should get together like this more often" Brian said as Trevor and Olivia were leaving after another couples dinner.

"Absolutely!" Trevor agreed. "How about my place, next week?"

"Sounds like a plan!" Brian agreed

"Hello? Are either of us included in this little love fest you two got going?" Olivia joked as she and Alex stood amused at how close their significant others had become.

"Of course, someone has to cook the food." Brian joked. Olivia gave a disbelieving look and playfully punched him on the arm.

"I guess that's our cue." Trevor laughed. "Alex, dinner was amazing, thank you for inviting us." He said and kissed her cheek.

"You guys are always welcome. Liv, are we still on for Casey's after work tomorrow?"

"We are. I'll see you then." She and Alex hugged as much as their growing bellies would allow them to and they all bid each other goodnight.

...

Olivia and Trevor stepped off the elevator and into the lobby, arm in arm as she laughed at something he'd said.

"Olivia" Elliot said as he stared angrily at the couple. He had just entered the building and was heading up to his apartment.

"I already told you, if you have something to say, say it through my lawyer!" and she turned to Trevor. "Let's go home baby, I'm tired." Just then, Elliot spotted the ring on her finger.

"Is that and engagement ring?"

"Yep!" Trevor said with a smug grin on his face and he and Olivia left the building while Elliot watched furiously and Trevor gave him the finger without looking back.

.

ELLIOT'S APARTMENT

He burst through the door and slammed it, heading straight for the bar.

"And just what the fuck is your problem?" Mairym asked.

"Not tonight Mairym!" he seethed and turned up the bottle to his mouth. He didn't even bother with a glass.

"Only one thing puts you in a mood like this, so I'm guessing this is Olivia related."

"You do not say her fucking name!" he was furious and continued to drink.

"Oh that's right! I forget, Jesus' fucking sister is to be reverenced! What did she do now? Run over you with a car?" she laughed mockingly. "You never did tell me how you broke your hand."

"Mairym, you really wanna get the fuck out of my sight right now!"

"Why? So you can confer with the voices in your head about which one of you is more obsessed with Olivia?" without hesitation he punched her in the face, knocking her out cold and sending her flying into a wall.

"Don't say her name again." he said calmly and walked away with his bottle of scotch, stepping over her unconscious body as if it didn't matter.

He stayed up all night, drinking. He drank until he threw up and then he drank more, getting angrier with every sip.

How dare she flaunt his fucking ring in front of me? And what the fuck is it doing on her finger to begin with? Is she trying to rub it in my face that she's fucking him? He thought of the last time they'd been together, thought of how he'd pinned her down, how she lay there helpless beneath him while he ravaged her. Her body couldn't take him. But this time, he smiled at the memory. He'd always wanted to fuck her like that, to weld absolute power over her and that night; oh god, that night! He moaned, feeling himself grow impossibly hard as her cries echoed through his head. Being inside her was like nothing else in the world and she was so fucking sexy the way she begged! You're mine Olivia; and I will have you again, I don't give a fuck what you say!

.

SQUAD ROOM AT THE 16TH EARLY MORNING

Olivia'sPOV

"Benson" I answered, picking up my desk phone.

"Baby makes three, Liv!"

"What?" His voice was so dark, it sent chills through her.

"The three of us, you, me and the baby. Because make no mistake, we will be a family, so you might as well take off that ring, cuz it ain't gonna happen!"

"I have work to do"

"Don't you fucking hang upon me again!" I froze inside. As much as I tried to tell myself that I wouldn't let him get to me, I was afraid of him; just the sound of his voice was already making me feel sick.

"What do you want from me?!" I spoke in hushed tones so as not to draw attention to myself.

"Us, Olivia! I want us!"

"Elliot stop!"

"Did you fuck him last night after you left me?

"Left you? What are you talking about? I was never with you!"

"At my place last night."

"You mean the lobby?" why did I suddenly feel like I was in the twilight zone?

"Please tell me you didn't fuck him last night; please just tell me you didn't. Tell me he wasn't inside you, tell me you didn't let him put his hands and his mouth all over you!" as disgusted as I was, I couldn't help but recall how amazing our lovemaking had been last night; Trevor was insatiable!

"That's none of your business!"

"You fucking slut!" he fumed

"DO NOT call me again!" I said and slammed the phone down onto the cradle.

"You alright Liv?" Nick asked.

"I'm fine!"I barked as I got up and walked away, feeling as if I needed to vent. Moments later, I found myself in one of the interrogation rooms. I locked the door and before I knew what I was doing, I had picked up a chair and hurled it across the room as I screamed, then slumped against the wall, sliding down as I began sobbing with my head in my hands. What would have to happen before he left me alone?

.

Though I tried to not think about it, it got to me and the rest of my day was shit. I went home late that afternoon, feeling tired and stressed. Trevor had done what he could but by nighttime, I had a terrible headache and couldn't stop throwing up. Trevor rushed me to the ER where we found out that I had come down with the flu and I spent the entire week that followed in bed. I can't remember ever having been so sick in my life, it was awful! But Trevor was by my side night and day taking care of me; I think I grew to love him even more for that, kind of hard to tell when my heart was already so full of love for him to begin with but he'd gone above and beyond in caring for me.

The next couple of weeks we had to deal with hearings in the custody suit. Just as Trevor said, nothing could be heard until proof of paternity was established and with me having already decided that I would not have a test done until after the baby was born, it would be a waiting game since legally, I could not be forced to undergo testing while I was pregnant.

This infuriated Elliot to say the least and the harassing got worse. He would call me all times of day and night but I ignored every call. He would leave messages claiming that he just wanted to talk but I was having none of it. I was one edge all the time and my blood pressure was not good and it had begun affecting the baby. Now, at six months gestation, she was too small and the doctor needed to keep a closer watch on my pregnancy. Now I was really frightened and made the decision that I would not allow Elliot to make me or my baby sick anymore but of course, he had his own plans.

.

SQUAD ROOM AT THE 16TH, MIDDAY.

Today was an unusually clam day in the squad room. The detectives were gathered around Olivia's desk as they happily conversed about she and Trevor's upcoming engagement party. However, the merriment was cut short when Elliot walked in to the bullpen and suddenly, everything went quiet.

"Hey guys." Elliot nervously greeted. "Liv, can I talk to you? In private."

"We don't have anything to talk about." She said quietly from where she sat at her desk, her hands resting on the top of her belly; she could already feel her blood pressure rising just from looking at him, and she wished he would go.

"Liv, come on." He pled, taking a step toward her; Fin immediately got up and stepped to Elliot, purposely obscuring his view of Olivia.

"She said there's nothing to talk about." Fin reminded him, an ominous tone in his voice. His eyes were locked angrily on Elliot and the look on his face gave Elliot no room to misunderstand that Fin was ready and more than willing to use physical force against him.

"Really? I'm getting this shit from you?"

"Hey, why don't we all just calm down here, ok?" Amanda interjected, getting in between the two men as they stood, full of anger like they would clash at any second.

"I'll calm down when he's gone!" Fin seethed, never taking his ice-cold gaze off Elliot.

"I have every right-" Elliot started

"You ain't got no fucking rights!" Fin yelled. Now the whole squad room was engrossed in the situation. And when Cragen emerged from his office, Olivia knew that she had to intervene. She knew all three men well enough to know that this would not end well if she didn't do something, and quick! So she pulled herself out of her chair and made her way over to where Fin and Elliot stood before Cragen had a chance to; thankful that Nick was in court today or things would have already gotten way out of hand.

"Fin… it's ok." She said, resting a hand on his arm in an attempt to soothe his anger. "I'll talk to him." she said nervously though she wanted nothing to do with Elliot; he had become so completely unstable and she had no idea what to expect from him at any given moment. She wished Trevor were here.

"You don't have to talk him, just say the word!" Fin said to her softly."

"I know, I'll be fine." She said cooly, but Fin could read her like a book and her eyes were telling a different story; one that told him to stay close because she was afraid. As angry as he was at what Elliot had been putting her through, he relented and gave her a nod, his eyes telling her that he'd hold things down. She let out a nervous breath.

"We can use one of the interrogation rooms." She said, barely audible as she walked off in that direction, Elliot following close behind her while he looked back at Fin with a smug grin plastered on his face.

"That guy's an ass!" Amanda said, looking in his direction with anger in her eyes. Fin and Cragen followed as Amanda picked up Olivia's phone from her desk, finding the number she was looking for and dialed.

"Hey beautiful!" Trevor answered. Amanda smiled. It warmed her heart knowing that Olivia had someone who loved her so much.

"Trevor, it's Amanda Rollins."

"Amanda, hey. What's goin on?" he couldn't help but wonder why she was calling from Olivia's phone.

"You might wanna get down here. Stabler just showed up wanting to talk to Liv and she's not looking so good."

"I'm on my way!" Amanda could hear the alarm in Trevor's voice. She quickly put the phone back on Olivia's desk and turned around to the squad. "Okay people, nothing to see here, get back to work!"

.

Interrogation room… Olivia's POV

"How you feelin" he asked as he shut the door

"Why? Do you really care, or is this just the inevitable calm before the storm?"

"Liv don't"

"Why are you here? I thought I made it clear that we had nothing more to talk about."

"Olivia; baby, please just..."

Baby. There was a time when hearing that word fall from his lips would have me literally aching for him; now it just sounds poisonous and misconstrued.

"Don't call me that. Now, if you have something to say, please just say It and be done!" I said, my breathing suddenly deepening as the baby began thrashing about inside me. I rubbed my belly trying to soothe her, suddenly feeling crampy.

"I've been thinking about it, and maybe we can come to a compromise with this custody thing." He said. I paced the room, a hand on my aching back.

"Until we have a paternity test, there is no custody thing; Just your threats."

"Liv, we both know that this baby is mine, that's why you're stalling the test. But I don't wanna fight about it anymore" He said, and for a moment, I allowed myself to believe that he was being sincere.

"You serious?"

"Absolutely; I'll let it all go and there won't be a custody fight; I promise. All you have to do is let me come home."

"Home?"

"Our home. You take me back and we work on fixing us and I won't try to take her away from you. We'll raise our baby together." I could feel the familiar dizziness that usually came right as my blood pressure would begin to skyrocket, and I knew that that's what was happening. I'd been sick so often ever since Elliot found out that I was pregnant and began harassing me even more.

"Have you lost your mind? Elliot why do we keep going through this? Why do you keep putting me through this? I am with Trevor, and I love him; there is nothing for you and I to go back to." I tried to remain calm so as not to make myself feel worse.

"Fuuuck Trevor! You don't love him!" He shouted! I just wished that he'd stop this insanity and leave me alone!

.

Out in the hall…

Fin and Cragen stood outside, fuming as they watched and listened.

"I'm going in!" Fin said as he went for the door. Don pulled him back.

"She knows we're out here. She'll let us know when." Don said, the anger in his voice threatening to choke him.

.

Inside… Olivia's POV

"If I didn't love him, I wouldn't be with him." I said; still not raising my voice. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. My head was pounding and I felt nauseous. I gripped the table for support, as I didn't trust myself not to fall and as bad as I needed to, I didn't want to sit. Elliot noticed none of this; being so wrapped up in manipulating me.

"Bullshit! He's an ass and there is no way I'm letting that prick play Daddy to my kid; you hear me Olivia? NO WAY!" he screamed.

"Elliot please, I don't feel well." I pled, rubbing the underside of her my belly with one hand while still gripping the table with the other. I was going to be sick.

"Don't you lay that on me. You need to decide who's more important to you, your boyfriend, or your kid, because guess what, Olivia? You can't fucking have both!

"I'm not listening to this" my voice was weak, tired,

"You WILL listen to me god damn-it" he screamed angrily in my face. "I am gonna enjoy snatching my kid right out of your fucking arms the second they pull it outta you, you fucking miserable-"

"Fin!" I called out. His name had barely left my mouth when he came busting through the door with Don who came over and put his arm around me when he saw that I could barely stand and helped me into a chair.

"What are they, your bodyguards now?" Elliot scoffed.

"Let's go!" Fin said as he grabbed Elliot by the collar.

"You heard him!" Don said. Elliot defiantly pushed Fin off him.

"I'm not goin anywhere!"

"The hell you ain't!" Fin yelled just as Elliot turned and took a swing at him, but Fin was too fast and ducked, his fist connecting with Elliot's jaw when he came back up; Elliot was enraged and tried again to swing at Fin when he suddenly found himself in a chokehold.

"I have had enough of your shit!" Cragen yelled as Fin held Elliot. "Fin, let him go!" he demanded. Fin looked at Don and twisted Elliot tighter in his hold before letting go, pushing him toward the door. Don walked right up to Elliot. "There was a time I loved and respected you like a son, and now I don't even know who the hell you are; but I do know that Liv is still like a daughter to me and NOBODY messes with my girl!" he was absolutely furious. "Now you get the hell out of here before I'm not so nice about it anymore!" He yelled.

"To hell with all of you!" Elliot growled and left, angrily storming out just as Rollins came in, giving Elliot a death stare as they passed each other. "What the hell are you lookin at?"

"…to think, I once considered you a great guy!" she sneered and shuddered, shaking her head in disgust. She looked at the scene in front of her when she stepped inside and came right over to me. "Are you ok, LIv?"

"I'll be fine Rollins, thanks. I just need to lie down."

"You sure?" Fin asked.

"Yeah. Could you help me to the cribs?"

"Sure thing baby girl!" Fin said softly, looking at Cragen as they helped her up; they both knew that the simple fact that I was asking for help meant that I was feeling a lot worse that I was letting on.

.

Cribs, 15 minutes later…

"Liv, maybe you should lie down a little longer." Amanda said as Olivia stood up.

"Lying down makes me feel worse!" she said weakly as she rubbed the underside of her belly, somewhat grimacing as if she were in pain.

"Honey, I called Trevor, he should be here any minute!" Amanda confessed. Under normal circumstances, Olivia would have chewed her out for prying but right now she was afraid for her baby and was thankful that Rollins had taken the initiative; she wanted Trevor here with her. As if on cue, he walked through the door.

"Olivia, are you alright?" he asked, taking her in his arms. She was so relieved at him being there that tears immediately began falling from her eyes and she shook her head.

"I'm gonna give y'all some privacy." Rollins said as she got up.

"Thank you Amanda." Trevor said as she left.

"My head won't stop pounding… I feel sick!" She cried as he kissed the top of her head. Fin had already filled him in on what happened when he'd gotten there and his first reaction had been to go after Elliot, but he knew that Olivia needed him right now and so he went straight to the cribs to see about her. Now, holding her and seeing just how far Elliot had pushed it; he wanted to kill him!

"I think we need to get you to the hospital." Olivia was about to protest when the room suddenly began spinning as the pounding in her head got worse and her heart began racing. She could swear that she heard ringing in her ears before everything went black and she collapsed in Trevor's arms!

.

Ambulance, on route to hospital… Olivia's POV

"Sir, how far along is she?" I heard the EMT ask Trevor as my blood pressure was being checked.

"Six months." Trevor nervously answered. I had come to at the precinct before the ambulance had arrived and had begun contracting, sending everyone into a panic.

"She can't be born yet, she won't make it!" I cried as another one came.

"You have to give her something to stop the contractions!" Trevor said to the medic, holding my hand while I moaned beneath the oxygen mask; the pains were surprisingly intense for having just started 20 minutes ago.

"They will as soon as we get to the hospital, but in the mean time you need to get her to calm down, her bp is dangerously high and if we can't get it under control, we could lose them both!

.

MERCY HOSPITAL. EMERGENCY ROOM

"…BP 190/120" The doctor read from the chart as Olivia was wheeled through the emergency room. Trevor never let go of her hand, even now as he ran alongside the gurney she lay on; groaning through another contraction.

"Doctor, please. She can't come now, it's too soon!" Olivia couldn't stop her tears and the intensity of the contraction forced her to cry out and squeeze Trevor's hand even harder.

"Don't you worry, we're gonna do everything we can to keep this little one inside you." The doctor promised.

"You hear that?" Trevor said to Olivia as he stroked her hair. "It's gonna be fine, you need to focus on that, ok?" She nodded as he kissed her hand. It was tearing him apart to see her like this; afraid and in so much pain.

"Sir, we're going to have to ask you to wait out here while we examine her." The nurse said as they approached the last set of double doors.

"No, please!" Olivia cried, still gripping his hand tightly "Trevor don't leave me!"

"I'll never leave you; I'll be right here and as soon as the doctor says it's ok, I'll be there with you." But she was still disinclined to let go. "Look at me" he said softly, yet firm as he looked into her eyes. "I promise you, everything will be fine; you believe me?" he was trying hard to keep the worry he felt from showing in his face and so he smiled to reassure her even though all he wanted o do was break something; someone! She stared back at him for a brief moment before she nodded and he kissed her brow. "Ok? I'll be in there before you know it."

"Okay" it came out as a frightened whisper as she reluctantly released her grip on his hand, tears still streaming her beautiful face in torrents. "I love you!" she cried as she was pushed through the doors.

"I love you!" he called back to her as the doors began closing, keeping that smile on his face until they had shut completely and once they did, the dam broke and his tears came swiftly and he cried, there alone in that hallway. He knew that Olivia had a hard time believing that he could be so accepting of this situation but in his heart, he honestly didn't care whose DNA the baby might have, she was Olivia's and for that reason, he loved her and was more than willing to be her father no matter what the test would say when she arrived in three months. He also knew that even with all of the medical advances in dealing with premature births that Olivia was right; their little girl wouldn't survive being born this early. With the constant stress that Elliot kept her under, the baby was already significantly smaller than she should be at this stage. No, he couldn't allow himself to think that way, no matter what the reality might be; just as he told Olivia moments ago, they needed to focus on keeping their little girl inside her, nothing else mattered right now!

.

Olivia's POV

I'd gone through 8 hours of labor before they were finally able to stop it. For a moment, it looked like they might have to deliver the baby, my contractions had gotten so intense and were so close together that birth seemed imminent but magically, the labor began to slow and by midnight, it completely stopped after having to try a second medication when the first didn't work.

"I think we're ok." The doctor announced after having just examined me. "and it looks like you're closing." I breathed a huge sigh of relief!

"So, what now?" Trevor asked.

"Now, we hope that it's stopped for good but in the meantime, we're going to monitor her very closely, overnight and for the next few days." I didn't say a word, I was completely exhausted and afraid that if I moved even my lips, I'd trigger the labor to start again and lose her; and even though I didn't much believe in God, I silently thanked him anyway

It's funny, thinking back; when I first found out that I was pregnant, I wanted to be as far away from it as possible but now… now this little girl has become my entire world and I already love her so much that it literally scares me to think about it; it makes me sick to think that I almost lost her – that I still could. The labor had stopped but we're not out of the woods yet. The next 24 hours…

How are you feeling?" Trevor whispered as he stroked my hair.

"I'm ok." I lied, fighting back tears. Almost as if he were reading my mind, he climbed into bed with me and wrapped me in his arms. Hearing his heart beating so strong immediately sent my mind to my baby. "What if I'd lost her?" I couldn't help the tears that now slid down my face in spite of my trying to contain them.

"You didn't" he said as he put his hand to my bare belly. "She's fine. Our little girl is strong, just like her mama. She fought just as hard to stay, as you did to keep her."

"But what if..." I stopped myself and snuggled closer against him – as close as I could with the fetal monitor still attached. "I was so scared!" I said in a whisper

"I know. So was I, but the doc says it looks like everything's ok."

"For now."

"For good."

"I still can't feel her…" I said as my tears fell.

"Her heart beat is strong." he pointed out as he wiped the tears away and kissed where they'd fallen on my cheeks "she's just tired after what you both went through." He then kissed my forehead as I listened to the sound of my daughter's heart beat filling the room from the monitor. "Why don't you try to get some sleep, you'll feel better in the morning"

"Okay." I agreed before looking up at him and caressing his face. Just being in his arms was all the better I needed."Sometimes I think you're too good to be true!" He smiled.

"And other times?"

"I know you are!" I smiled before pulling him closer and kissing him softly on the lips, then snuggled against his chest and closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep in his arms; the sound of his heartbeat a lulling comfort.

...

The night flew by quickly but Trevor didn't sleep; he sat up all night holding Olivia. As much as he tried to be the reassuring voice for her, he was terrified! Having to sit there, watching her go through such agony; he'd never seen her so scared before and he'd never felt so powerless in his life! She was frightened and in so much pain and all he could so was hold her hand while listening to her cries; trying to make her believe that it would be ok when he was just as afraid as she was that they would lose their daughter. As she slept through the night, he watched her, terrified that if he closed his eyes, even for a moment, he'd awaken to find their daughter gone. Now he looked over at her; she was sleeping so peacefully. He tenderly reached over and caressed her burgeoning belly, his large hand almost covering its entirety. Suddenly, almost as if to give him some of the assurance he'd tried to give Olivia, their little girl kicked beneath his palm; it was faint, but it was there and it was the first time she'd moved since yesterday; Trevor was elated beyond words and he smiled as a tear escaped his eye.

"That's my girl." He said softly, feeling her move about just as Olivia suddenly opened her eyes, inhaling a deep breath.

"She's moving!" She exclaimed as she put her hand to her belly, joining Trevor's.

"See? Just tired"

"Admit it, you were as scared as I was!" she said as she wiped his face."

"A little… Ok, a lot." He confessed. "But you're both ok now and that's all that matters." He kissed the top her head as she looked down at, and rubbed her belly; she was absolutely overjoyed at feeling her baby move after more than 15 hours and tears ran down her face. Trevor looked over at her, he could tell that there was something more on her mind.

"What's wrong?"

"I can't do this anymore."

"Do what?"

"The stress; dealing with Elliot on top of the stress of not knowing; I thought I could wait it out but it's just too much. I need to know."

"Liv, you don't…"

"No, I have to do this; he's threatening to take her away if he's her father."

"Baby, I told you, I will never let that happen"

"and I believe you; but that won't stop him from trying and we need to be prepared. I want the test."

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"As sure as I'll ever be." He took a deep, nervous breath; he wasn't ready to let go of the chance that this baby could be his but he knew that this was important to Olivia and so he conceded.

"Then let's do it." he said just as the doctor walked in.

"The nurse tells me you had a pretty uneventful night." Olivia smiled.

"Thankfully. Doc, the NIPP test we discussed; how soon can we do it?"

"You've changed your mind about waiting?"

"I want to know as soon as possible."

"Why don't we get this exam out of the way first and then we'll do the test as soon as you can get the other party here. Sound good?"

"Sounds great" she said as she squeezed Trevor's hand; she had no clue if this would open an even bigger can of worms but she also knew that not knowing was no longer an option.

.

The days that followed were torture. Olivia's doctor had decided to keep her in the hospital for a few days and so it was there that she eagerly but dreadfully waited for the test results to come and she found it hard to focus on anything else. Casey and Alex and the squad came by as much as they could to keep her company , but she just wanted to be able to relax at home in her own bed. On day five of her hospital stay, the doctor informed her that the test results were ready and would be delivered within an hour. She quickly began to panic and was now wishing that she hadn't ordered Trevor to go home last night as she nervously dialed him after asking the doctor to call Elliot.

"Hey beautiful, I was just on my way there."

"The test results are ready." There was dead silence on the other end. "Trevor?"

"I'm here. I'll call Travis and be right there. I love you."

"I love you." she said and ended the call. This was it, no more guessing, no more wondering. She was about to know with absolute certainty which of the two men fathered the child she was carrying and she kept repeating to herself that everything would be fine as she rubbed her hand in a soothing circle in the middle of her belly.

.

Later that morning…

"I'm so sorry for the holdup" The doctor announced as she entered the room where Trevor, Olivia and Elliot were gathered with their respective attorneys and Mairym, who Elliot had married at city hall immediately after the test was taken 5 days ago, attempting to assure his chances at gaining custody. "I had an emergency to tend to but I'm here now and I have the results"

"Good, tell me what I already know!" Elliot demanded as Mairym sat, grinning fiendishly "And, FYI, Liv; you'll be getting rid of Malibu Ken here or you'll never see my kid again. I plan to tell the judge how violent he is. Can't have my little girl around that kind of behavior."

"Violent?" Olivia couldn't believe that he of all people was making such an accusation.

"VI-O-LENT!" Elliot reiterated. "You remember my broken fingers a few weeks back? One guess who did it!"

"What? He slipped into my grip. Oops!" Trevor said dryly as Olivia stifled a laugh. It felt good to want to laugh during such a tense moment.

"Gentlemen, please."Travis spoke up and the room quieted.

"Would you like for me to read them?" The doctor asked Olivia.

"No, I… I'll do it." she replied nervously. The doctor handed her the envelope and she shakily removed the papers from inside, unfolded them and began reading the results. After a few seconds her eyes went wide and she put a hand to her mouth, sobbing. Trevor immediately went to sit beside her on the bed, taking her in his arms.

"Fuck my life!" Mairym exclaimed. This was the last thing she wanted.

"Baby, it's ok." Trevor comforted as Elliot smiled.

"No! You don't understand!" Olivia sobbed.

"Honey I do, Elliot is an ass and I know that you don't want him in our lives but noth-"

"No, you don't!"

"Baby, nothing will change"

"Trevor will you shut up?" she cried and cupped his head in her hands. "She's yours! Our little girl is yours!" he couldn't speak. He just pulled her into his arms and let her cry, he was too stunned for words. Elliot snatched the papers from her hand and read it for himself.

"This is bullshit!" he declared as Travis took the test results.

"Liv, Trev, I'll be filing this with the court today and getting the custody suit thrown out now that we know beyond the shadow of a doubt that this ass-wipe has no legal recourse!" Travis said, all too happy for his brother and future sister-in-law. He patted Trevor on the back and kissed Olivia on the cheek, whispering congratulations to them both before he left the room.

Elliot was furious and grabbed Mairym by the arm, dragging her out of the room, his lawyer following.

.

"He will not take my wife!" Elliot yelled.

"I am your wife!" Mairym reminded him.

"You were a means to a fucking end! I'm having it annulled!"

"We already consummated, you idiot and since neither one of us were tricked into it, you're stuck with me!"

"There's always divorce!"

"You mean the divorce that I'll protest?" she asked.

"Contest" he corrected.

"What the fuck ever! The point is, at least for the time being, you are stuck with me!" she sneered and walked off. Elliot turned to his lawyer.

"Get rid of this bitch!" he demanded.

"Afraid she's right. The pre-nup says she gets nothing in the event of a divorce, but it doesn't say that she can't contest it."

"These bitches are ruining my fucking life!" he said and took a drink from his flask

"Well-"

"You're fired! Get the fuck outta here!" he yelled at his attorney. The lawyer simply shrugged and walked away. At least I still have Winnie! He said to himself as he turned to look through the glass panel on the door to Olivia's room and watched her and Trevor rejoicing in their good fortune. They were completely overjoyed but Elliot didn't see any of that. All he saw was the woman who had wronged him, and the man who made her do it and that was enough to make his soul burn with blatant rage; the likes of which he had never felt before!

.

The next few months flew by pretty quickly. Alex and Olivia went about preparing for their new arrivals while Olivia planned for she and Trevor's wedding that would be happening in early September. In spite of the paternity test proving that he was not the baby's father, Elliot's obsession with Olivia grew to the point where she was forced to obtain a restraining order two weeks after they'd gotten the result. He'd followed her from work and accosted her outside her home, threatening that if he couldn't have her, no one would. Trevor pulled up to catch Elliot grabbing at her most private parts while she tried to fend him off. The two men got into a violent brawl that ended with Trevor beating Elliot so badly, his jaw had to be wired shut. Elliot was ordered by the courts to stay at least 50 yards away from Olivia at all times but it didn't stop the harassing phone calls that ensued as soon as the wiring was removed from his jaw.

Elliot's relationship with Mairym grew more volatile as his drinking continued to spiral out of control and the abuse escalated to the point where she was seldom seen without a bruise of some sort on her face. He hated her for not being Olivia and he never failed to remind her of that whenever be would beat her in one of his drunken rages.

Now, three months later, things were still tense but Olivia was happy nonetheless. She had Trevor and their baby girl would be arriving in just three weeks; they had never been more excited as they busied themselves getting everything ready. Trevor had spent a small fortune on an interior decorator to help Olivia design her nursery and they'd even picked out her name, having decided on Chloe, since they both absolutely loved it and thought it would be perfect for their daughter!

.

OLIVIA'S HOME, MID MORNING.

Olivia's hormones were out of control for the past month and all she wanted was sex as many times a day as she could get it. After making love all night, Trevor woke up to her stroking him beneath the covers and no sooner than he'd opened his eyes she was on him, riding him for dear life. They'd gone at it twice more before 8am when he left to meet his brothers and Brian at the Athletic club for a game while she took a nap.

She'd woken and called Alex, arranging to meet up to do some shopping. Neither of them were aware, but Casey had gotten together with Brian and Trevor and they'd been planning a huge surprise baby shower for the two of them that was happening tomorrow afternoon. Trevor's mom was coming down to attend and would be staying for a few weeks to help Olivia get adjusted once the baby came, it would be a welcome surprise for Olivia, as she had grown very close to Tricia and loved her dearly.

Just after 11am, Olivia stepped out of her front door, slowly making her way down the stairs of the stoop, and was alarmed to see Elliot standing on the sidewalk outside her home. For a moment that was so quick, it was unnoticeable to anyone but her, she froze before just as quickly shaking it off, then began walking down the block. He didn't hesitate to follow.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, not slowing her pace. Even in her ninth month of pregnancy, she could still walk pretty quickly.

"I came to see you."

"Really? Because I have a restraining order that says otherwise!" he chuckled.

"Restraining order…" he mocked "you forget I'm ex NYPD? I still have a lot of cop friends; that restraining order might as well be written on a donut for all it's worth!"

"and you seem to forget that I'm still NYPD, and I will have your ass behind bars so fast, you'll be bent over in the shower before you can even drop the soap!" she didn't turn to look at him, she just continued walking.

"I just want my wife back!" he yelled to her. She stopped just as she was about to cross the street at the intersection, and turned to look at him, her back to the traffic.

"I'm not your wife; we're not even friends anymore." She reminded him as her baby began kicking.

"You will always be mine!" She twisted her face, a look of sheer confusion about it as she began rubbing her belly to calm the baby who was now punching her kidney; so thankful that the blows were soft this time around.

"What does that even – you know what? I don't care. I am done with this ridiculousness!" he watched, enraged as she stood caressing her belly, swollen with Langan's child. He hated her for allowing another man inside her. In his mind, she was his; would always be his and she had no right to give herself away. "Whether you like it or accept it, this is Trevor's child! I am with him, and I love him! Why can't you just let me be happy?"

Elliot's rage grew by the second.

"Because that baby should have been MINE!" he screamed directly in her face, causing her to jump. "It wasn't enough to DEFILE yourself by fucking him, no, you had to make it worse by letting him knock you up with his bastard! You should have fucking aborted it!" he continued screaming. All she wanted was to get away from him right now. He was losing it, fast.

"I'm not doing this; you stay the hell away from me!" she warned and turned to cross the street but he grabbed her coat and spun her to face him, gripping her by the collar with both hands. "Get your hands off me!" she ordered as she pushed against him. She could feel her heart pounding in her throat. She was terrified.

"You think this is a joke? Is that what it is, you think I'm a joke? I already told you; if I can't have you, he sure as hell can't! You understand that Olivia? You are mine, or you are no one's!" The blue of his eyes had gone black and his voice was now low and menacing. Now that she was so close to him, she could smell the alcohol on his breath.

"Let. Go!" she ordered in the sternest voice she could muster but it did nothing to disguise her fear. His mouth curled into a cruel smile as he continued to stare her down.

Suddenly, calm washed over him and he pushed her away, releasing his grip on her coat and causing her to lose her footing and stumble backwards into the street. She caught a glimpse of the sliver navigator as it barreled toward her, but it was already too late and the vehicle slammed into her body with horrific force, the driver never even saw her because he was on his phone tweeting some celebrity in an attempt to gain a follow! When she hit the ground, her skull gave a sickening crack against the pavement as Elliot looked on, seemingly unaffected by what he'd just done.
