Chapter 8: Infiltrator
MOUNT JUSTICE
August 8, 9:40 EDT
Frankie was sound asleep in her room at the Cave, "Frances" she heard someone murmur. The person kept mumbling her name until the person shook her awake. Frankie jolted up with a ridiculous bed hair and looked around wildly, "Relax, Frances" Kaldur said as he put his hands on her shoulders to calm her down which she did. "Kaldur, it's early" she whined. Kaldur chuckled as he sat on the foot of her bed. "Actually it nearly ten o'clock and the others are waiting for you." Frankie looked at him confused, "Waiting for what?" then she widened her eyes in realization, "Oh! The beach! I'll be right there, I'm just gonna change"
"Of course but first we need to talk," he said seriously, looking into her eyes. "Your recent behavior has been peculiar and I'm worried about you."
Frankie looked down slightly, avoiding Kaldur's concerned stare, he has always been like a big brother to her. Kaldur put a hand on hers, "You know that we are all here for you Francesca, If you need to talk about something that's bothering you."
Frankie took a deep breath, "Ok, I'll tell you but you have to promise you will not tell anyone."
"You have my word."
"I was not born on Paradise Island, I was born in New York and I was born a Psychic not cursed." She looked up at Kaldur who let her continue. "The woman who was here at the training session…"
"Troia?" Kaldur asked, Frankie nodded. "She's my biological mother not Wonder Woman, she's my aunt but I've always considered her as my mother. When I was born, my mother gave me away to my father, I've never felt so abandoned." she looked at her hand that were shaking, fighting back tears. "Living with my father was a nightmare, he's a psychotic man who abused me. One day he was about to hit me and in a miraculous way the Gods gave me Amazon powers and I knocked him out and ran away, living in the streets for years with no control of my powers until Wonder Woman found me and the rest is history." Tears fell down her cheeks as she waited for Kaldur to say something, he was stunned. Frankie have never told her backstory to anyone especially her closest friends. What Kaldur did next was not something that she expected, he hugged her. "Francesca," he said gently as he let her go, "Why didn't you tell me before? You're like a sister to me and you know I wouldn't judge you."
"I know but I was so scared that you wouldn't see me the same way again or even trust me."
"Never doubt the ones closest to you, Francesca." Frankie nodded, wiping her tears. Kaldur stood up and walked towards the door, he turned around. "You better hurry up and change." and with that he walked out.
Frankie smiled to herself as she bolted of her bed and walked towards her backpack, taking out a towel, sunglasses and bikini. After she had showered and changed into her bikini, a purple sports bra kind of bikini top with black polkadots and black swimming shorts. Flying to the others who were waiting for her by the door.
"Took you long enough sleepyhead" Superboy said teasingly. Frankie stuck out her tongue in response.
They made their way to the beach right outside Mount Justice. It was Megan's first time ever at the seashore and Frankie couldn't help but to smile at her excitement. The sailboats drifted along the mild waves as the sun glittered down on the water, seagulls squawking overhead. Frankie walked with the guys to find a good spot for tanning as Megan ran ahead to the water, a boogie board under her left arm.
"This is going to be awesome, nothing but fun all day, just a day with my friends." Frankie said as she looked at her friends with a big smile. Megan spread her arms, "Hello Megan, we should hit the beach everyday." Frankie agreed, "That would be fun!"
"But first a moment of silence for our absent comrade," Robin said dramatically, making Frankie snort.
"Poor Wally," Megan said sadly, looking down at the sand.
"Poor guy, gotta start early," Frankie said with a goofy grin, "But that only reminds me that I start school in a few weeks."
Frankie laid out her beach towel as the other ran into the water, she walked towards the water but stopped to poke her toe to feel the temperature. She shivered slightly as the cold water touched her toe and she walked back to where her towel was so she could tan. She laid down, closed her eyes and took in the warmth of the sun, someone blocked the sun. Frankie opened her eyes to see Robin stand in front of her, "You're blocking the sun Boy Wonder."
"You live in Santa Monica, you can tan there." He said. "Come on let's hit the water!"
Frankie sat up, "No the water is cold." Robin grinned mischievously, making Frankie laugh nervously, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Without a warning, Robin picked her up and slung her over his shoulder making Frankie shriek in surprise.
"Robin! Robin! Let me go!" she shouted. Robin laughed as he walked into the water, "Now, what fun would that be." As Robin approached the others who were laughing at the two. "Guys! Help me!" she begged.
"You're on your own princess." Kaldur said between the laughs.
"Robin let me go!"
"A soaked princess coming right up!" Robin said as he tossed her up into the air and she landed into the cold water with a huge splash. Her body jerked at the contact at the sudden change of temperature, and she quickly swam back to the surface. Robin let out his signature laugh and Frankie splashed him which ended up in a splash war between Robin, Frankie and Megan.
They continued to splash each other and Superboy jumped into the water, splashing everyone. They all laughed. Megan wanted to try the chicken fight and the others agreed. Megan sat on Kaldur's shoulders and Frankie sat on Superboy's and Robin was the judge as the girls tried to take each other down. In the end Megan won because Frankie's right hand slipped off Megan's, and Megan got the chance to push her off Superboy's shoulders.
After the game, Frankie went to lay down on the towel in her stomach. Robin sat down next to her. "So, about that tutoring?" He asked with raised eyebrows. Frankie sighed and looked at him unamused, "School doesn't start until a few weeks, I'll ask you then but right now I would like to enjoy the summer break before I go back to the classrooms."
"Alright then, you call me and we arrange the meetings." Frankie nodded in agreement.
"By the way, it wasn't Speedy who shot the arrow." Robin looked at her confused.
"What do you mean?"
"When we fought Amazo, there was a girl who was few years older than you and me. She was the one who shot the arrow.
"How do you know?"
"I noticed a movement when I looked out the window and I sensed that it was indeed a girl." Robin was about to open his mouth when Frankie interrupted. "And yes I have informed Batman."
For lunch they roasted hot dogs, then they played a game of Volleyball, Frankie and Robin on one team, Kaldur, Superboy and Megan all on the other. Robin and Frankie won. Afterwards, while Superboy was napping the others buried him in a large mound of sand. Frankie was surprised that he didn't wake up.
Reluctantly they had to end their day at the beach and showered when they were called down to the Mission room. They made their way to the room, dressed in uniform, and gathered around a tall blonde girl clothed in green and she was holding a bow, Batman, Green Arrow and Red Tornado all stood in a small line behind her. Green Arrow introduced her as "Artemis," with a small smile Wonder Girl stepped forward and held out her hand for Artemis to shake. "It's nice to meet you and also I would like to thank you for saving my life the other day." Artemis smiled. The rest of the team followed Wonder Girl's lead as they all introduced themselves.
Artemis turned to Green Arrow and asked, "I thought you said that there were six people on the team."
"Our other member is not here at the moment." Wonder Girl answered.
Recognized Kid Flash, B03.
Wonder Girl shared a look with Aqualad and Superboy, she heard a song blaring and a voice, "The Wall-Man is here!" Wally shouted who was covered head to toe in beach wear.
"Holy Hera" Wonder Girl mumbled as she rolled her eyes.
"Let's get this party start-" He tripped on the umbrella pole and fell, the beach ball just missing Batman's face. The room was dead silence, until Artemis spoke up. "The Wall Man, huh? I love the exactly are your powers?" Wonder Girl snorted causing Robin to elbow her in the ribs. She liked her already.
"Uh… who's this?" Wally asked.
"Artemis, your new teammate," the green archer said.
Green Arrow stepped forward. "Um, she's my new protege."
"What happened to your old one?" Wally asked. Wonder Girl gave him a look, "What?"

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear." Wonder Girl said as she looked towards the Zeta Tubes. He looked at her for a moment but averted his eyes.
"Well for starters he doesn't go by ´Speedy´ anymore." Wonder Girl stared dumbfounded at him, she had an uneasy feeling but she didn't know why. "Call me Red Arrow." He walked right past her, not sparing her a second glance.
"Roy." Green Arrow stepped forward, "You look-"
"Replaceable?"
"It's not like that, you told me you were going solo."
"So why waste time finding a sub, can she even use that bow?" Wonder Girl crossed her arms in disbelief, since when did one of her best friends become a jerk? This is not Roy she was talking to a few days ago. Artemis stepped up to Red Arrow "Yes, she can."
"Who are you?" Wally yelled at Artemis.
"I'm his niece/she's my niece." Artemis and Green Arrow said at the same time.
"Another niece," Wonder Girl and Robin said at the same time, they glanced at each other.
"But she is not your replacement." Aqualad walked up to Red Arrow. "We have always wanted you on the team and we have no quota on archers"
"Or psychics." Wally said, making Miss Martian and Wonder Girl smile at each other. "And if we did you know who to pick."
Wonder Girl scoffed before she sarcastically remarked, "Ouch, way to make the new girl feel right at home."
"Whatever Baywatch, I'm here to stay." Artemis said, looking over at Wally. Wonder Girl giggled and Wally glared at her. She gave him a look that said,´you asked for it´
Red Arrow turned to Aqualad. "You came to us for a reason." Aqualad said. "Yeah a reason named Dr. Serling Roquette." Robin's eyes widened, "Nanorobotics' genius and claytronics expert at Royal University in Star City." Holographs appeared all over the Missions room of a blonde woman with glasses and a white lab coat. "Vanished two weeks ago."
"Abducted two weeks ago," Red Arrow corrected, "By the League of Shadows." Robin sounded amazed. "Whoa, you wants us to rescue her from the League of Shadows." Robin asked. He and Wally exchanged looks and did a fist bump. "Hardcore." Wally smiled.
"Already rescued her," their smiled fell. "Only one problem, The Shadows had already convinced her to create a weapon." Red Arrow brought up his own holograph. "Doc calls it 'fog', comprised of millions of microscopic robots, Nano tech of disintegrating anything in their path, concrete, steel, flesh." Wonder Girl shivered. "But it's true purpose isn't near destruction, it's theft. The Infiltrators eat and store data from any computer system and deliver the stolen intel to the Shadows, providing them access to weapons, strategic defense, cutting edge science and tech."
"Perfect for extortion, manipulation, power broking, yeah sounds like the Shadows." Artemis boasted.
"Like you know anything about the Shadows." Wally scoffed. Artemis gave him a devilish smile and it was quiet for a few seconds. "Who are you?" Wally yelled at her. Wonder Girl who stood next to Robin, leaned over and whispered, "This is the first girl who have actually succeeded to push Wally's buttons." Robin smirked. "Agreed."
"Roquette is working on a virus to render the fog inert." Red Arrow finished.
"But if the Shadows knows she can do that-" Robin began.
"They'll target her." Wonder Girl finished. Red Arrow nodded and continued, "Right now she's off the grind. I've stashed at the local high school's computer lab."
"You left her alone?" Green Arrow asked.
"She's safe enough for now." Red Arrow barked, getting all defensive.
"Then let's you and I keep her that way." Green Arrow said, taking a stepped forward.
"You and I? Don't you want to take your new protege?" Red Arrow asked. Green Arrow opened his mouth but Batman put a hand on his shoulder to stop him. Wonder Girl was fed up with his attitude. "Don't be like that Roy." she said.
He whipped his head towards her. "Be like what?" he growled.
"An asshole." she said through gritted teeth,ignoring the teams shocked faces and Batman's disapproving look at her language. "So what, you come here and are very rude to Green Arrow and his new partner, you're being a complete douchebag. You're not the Roy I knew, the Roy I knew would have joined the team until the day he is mature enough to join the league."
Red Arrow got very close to her face, they were glaring dagger at each other. "Oh really is that how you feel Francesca? The Wonder Girl I knew was an independent warrior princess, she wouldn't have joined the team, she would have gone with me. She and I was in this together."
"You demand respect." Wonder Girl roared. "But you are rude to those whom you seek it from. You don't deserve it! I joined the team because I belong here and you would too."
"You're a selfish brat , you know that? Do you know what I see? I see an insecure and lost little girl who doesn't where she stands and I got to see that when you betrayed me last month and decided to join the team." It was complete silence, Wonder Girl could feel her heart break at Roy's harsh words. Roy leaned in close and whispered in her ear, "I know who your father is, you traitor." Her eyes got wide in sheer horror and that was the final line. She growled in pure anger and pushed him roughly away from her. Red Arrow almost stumbled backwards.
"You two have a lot to work out." Artemis said. Wonder Girl was breathing heavily, her eyes was glossy with unshed tears. "We have nothing to work out!" Aqualad took action immediately, standing in front of her trying to calm her down because he knew that if she's angry her psychic powers would go out of control. Green Arrow stepped in and said, "You brought this to the team, it's their mission explain what they should do."
"Then my job's done, you can figure out the rest." Red Arrow walked past them and into the Zeta tube. Recognized Speedy, "That's Red Arrow, B06, update." With that he left. Wonder Girl was quiet, in shock and alarmed. Scared that Roy knows and would reveal her darkest secret to the team watched her with concern, she held her head high and glanced over at Batman, " I apologize for my language earlier." she said in a raspy voice. Batman nodded and said, "It could have been worse."
As Batman gave them the plan, Wonder Girl remained quiet, Roy's words was haunting her. On their way to the Bioship, Kid Flash stopped her, "Don't be mad at Roy, he's just upset with Green Arrow and took it on you." Wonder Girl looked into his eyes and Kid Flash could see how hurt she was. " How can you say that! He literally hurt me through words and broke my heart, Wally. He was one of my best friends, imagine Robin saying horrible things to you, how would you feel?"

"Everyone online?" Miss Martian's voice ran through Wonder Girl's head.
Artemis groaned, "This is weird," She said and looked at her hand.
"And distracting", the scientist rambled on about something and then Artemis and Kid Flash started fighting, Wonder Girl zoned off, muttering to herself mentally in ancient greek.
"WG,You are aware that the whole team can hear you even though we don't understand what you are saying." Robin asked. Wonder Girl blushed, "I forgot. Thanks Rob."
After Kid Flash fighting with Artemis she hopped off the desk she had been sitting on and said, "how about I just help Miss Martian and Superboy patrol the perimeter?" That left Aqualad, Robin, Kid Flash and Wonder Girl to protect the Doctor.
"Good Idea." Aqualad said to Artemis. Wonder Girl could tell he was also annoyed with Artemis and Kid Flash's fighting. She could hear Robin talking to Kid Flash over the link but she ignored them. Wonder Girl sat on a desk in the corner and pulled up her knees to her chest, glaring down at the floor. Aqualad came over to her and leaned on the desk. "He owes you an apology,"
"Yes, he does," she muttered and then scoffed. "But I don't think i'll get it nor will I forgive him."
"He had no right to say those things and I don't know what got into him to say them to you," Wonder Girl looked over at him sadly. "I know why, he knows my true nature and parentage. Unlike you, he wasn't as accepting as you were even though you're the only one who knows about my past, parts of it at least."
"I may only know some parts of your past but you can't change it only accept it, I can't judge you for who you parents are or your past" Aqualad said softly. Wonder Girl smiled a small smile and he smiled back, "You've always know the right things to say, Kal."
Aqualad nodded then he stood up and walked over to Dr. Roquette, "The virus won't be of much use if we can not find the weapon. Can you track it?" He asked.
"My utility fog is not a weapon, it's science, brilliant science, and of course I can track it but I'd have to go online, might as well rent a billboard with this address and 'assassinate me' written in neon."
Wonder Girl glared at the Doctor, "The team might have to protect you from me if you don't stop complaining."
"I can hear you" The Doctor said.
"Duh, you were meant to honey." She looked over at Wonder Girl and narrowed her eyes, Wonder Girl narrowed hers right back.
Aqualad turned to her with a warning look, "Wonder Girl, I understand that you are under a lot of stress but please do not threaten her, it will get nothing done."
Aqualad turned back to the Doctor, "We will protect you." Wonder Girl sighed in annoyance. She clicked a button on the keyboard, "Tracking the fog now."
While the Doctor was tracking the fog, Wonder Girl heard, Mmm, that boy." It was Artemis. Wonder Girl shivered and whined "my poor innocent mind."
"He can hear you, we can all hear you." Miss Martian said in jealous tone.
"Oh, I know." Artemis replied.
Aqualad's voice came in, interrupting the girl's little spat, "Miss Martian, Doctor Roquette has located the fog, reconfigure the bio-ship so that Robin, Wonder Girl and Superboy can pursue." Wonder Girl sighed in relief as she slipped off the desk. She looked over at Robin and then the door before they both walked out.
The two of them ran through the hall, taking sharp turns at the corners. "So about Red Arro-" Robin began but she quickly cut him off.
"For the love of Aphrodite, Rob. I don't want to talk about him." Robin looked over at her with smile. "I was just about to say to forget about, there are some people who don't see you the way he said and you mean a lot to these people." Wonder Girl looked over at him with a smile. "Thank you."
Wonder Girl and Robin met up with Superboy right outside the school and they ran to the bio-ship as the door opened and they flew off.
They hadn't gone for very long when Robin put a finger to his ear piece, since they were out of Miss Martian's range for the link. "Robin to Aqualad we are over Philadelphia. We've located the Shadow's next target, star labs." Wonder Girl looked out of the bio-ship's front window. "We're too late." Robin said as star labs crumbled to nothing as they flew over the rubble. "Merciful Minerva! It's totally destroyed!" Wonder Girl said in horror. The three of them stared wide eyed at what the Fog could do.
"This is bad, Star Labs is cutting edge science and now their secrets are in the hands of the enemy." Robin said.
"There is no telling how much info the Shadows have now." Wonder Girl said as she looked over at Robin who sat in the pilot's chair, Superboy and her on either side.
"What's our next move?" Robin asked Aqualad over the com.
"Rescan the Fog, find it. We're moving the Doctor." Aqualad said through the com.
Apparently there was an attack on The Doctor. "Do you think I should go back and help? At my top speed I can be there in less than fifteen minutes." Wonder Girl said as she switched back to stealth mode. Both Robin and Superboy looked over at her. "If things get hectic, yes I don't want you in a dangerous situation… I mean you're a great fighter, wouldn't want you to get hurt!" Robin said, quickly adding the last part with a nervous laugh. "She can handle it" Superboy said as he looked over at her. "We can handle it here, you go and help Meg- the others." Robin closed his eyes and sighed as he clicked on some buttons on his holograph, stopping the bio ship and opening a hatch door. Wonder Girl stood up and walked to the middle of the ship, her black hair whipping all around her. "Wonder Girl." She looked over her shoulder and at Robin. "For the love of all the Gods you believe in, please be careful." She gave a curt nod before she smiled and jokingly salute him, "You too Bird boy." She jumped from the Bio-ship, zooming in full speed over Philadelphia. She put a finger to where her ear com was. "Wonder Girl to Aqualad, I am on my way, give me your coordinates."
When Wonder Girl arrived at Aqualad's coordinates, Kid Flash and Artemis was in a room with the doctor. They had picked a internet cafe in a small seaside town to the doctor. Wonder Girl telepathically linked herself to Miss Martian's link.
"I'm now online." She informed the others as she neared.
She came to the coordinates that Aqualad gave her and she lowered herself onto the ground. Walking into a warehouse and ducking inside the door, making sure that no one saw her. Artemis brought up her bow at her but lowered it as soon as she saw who it was. "Oh you're good." Wonder Girl said in approval. "Thanks,nice of you to join us." Artemis said and continued to walk around the small table the doctor sat at. Kid Flash sat on top of some boxes and when Kid Flash and Artemis made eye contact, they held a gaze, each with hate radiating off them.
"Stop it, both of you." Aqualad's voice was harsh.
"What?" They both said at the same time.
"I can hear you glaring." Wonder Girl looked over at them with an amused expression but they averted their eyes quickly.
"You two remind me of Wonder Girl and Robin." Miss Martian said. Artemis looked over at Wonder Girl (who was blushing) with smirk.
"Hilarious." Wonder Girl said sarcastically.
Wonder Girl leaned against a wall as she watched the doctor work feverishly on the computer. Suddenly she sensed an unknown presence, two doors in front of them opened and a man dressed in head to toe in dark red came in.
"Someone is here!" Wonder Girl yelled. Kid Flash hopped off the boxes and ran at the man and swiped his foot under the man's feet but the man jumped and landed on the ceiling, sending a red sticky rope out of his hand at Kid Flash, but missed him. Kid Flash threw a nearby trashcan and hit the man, making him land on the floor. The man ran towards Kid Flash but Wonder Girl came up behind the man and elbowed him in the back. He fell to the floor but turned and shot red webbing at her, wrapping her up, sending her to the floor. Wonder Girl growled as she tried to reach a dagger she had hidden in her right boot. Artemis notched forward with an arrow in her bow and was about to send it at the man who was fighting Kid Flash but someone else slammed through the roof top of the warehouse. A large guy with a large metal hook on his right arm. As Artemis fought the guy with the hook and Kid Flash fought the guy dressed in red. Wonder Girl got a hold of her dagger, she looked up and saw a woman at the windows above the scientist. Wonder Girl shredded off the web but kept a low profile so the woman wouldn't notice her. The woman had a crossbow and was about to shoot it when Wonder Girl brought up a dark wooden desk in front of the arrow with the help of her telekinesis.
"I was about to do that Wonder Girl" Miss Martian said.
"But I was quicker." Wonder Girl said.
"Martian's here, it's now or never!" the woman in the window yelled. Wonder Girl smirked. The man dressed in red shot the webbing at the desk that she had put up. Wonder Girl looked over at where the scientist was and things were not good. The woman with the mask had knocked down the scientist and had taken out a sai and was spinning it in her hand, then she raised it about to bring it down on the scientist. Wonder Girl was about to tackle the woman down when a strange thing happened. The scientist turned green. Wonder Girl stared in awe, she felt slightly foolish and wondered where Aqualad and the Doctor was.
The woman pulled back the knife. "We've been doped!" she yelled in outrage. Miss Martian raised herself above the bad guys. "You'll never find Doctor Roquette!"
"Never is such a long time." The woman with the mask purred. "Pursuing target, keep them busy!" She ran out the of the warehouse.
"Oh no you don't!" Wonder Girl muttered as she ran after her.
"Wonder Girl get back here!" Artemis yelled.
"She's mine to handle!" Wonder Girl yelled.
She ran down the street after their leader as Wonder Girl saw her stop by a white van. "Oh I do not like being played." She growled as her cat eyes lit up yellow. Wonder Girl did a leap and tackled the woman. "What-" She said confused and threw Wonder Girl off her. "Oh it's you. I was hoping it was the other girl, the blonde one." She purred. "You're his daughter aren't you?" Wonder Girl's eyes got wide. "I know your father, I suppose I'll knock you out and bring you to him." Just then Artemis came around the other side of the van and the woman turned, about to take a step toward Artemis with her daggers out but Wonder Girl lunged at her and the woman stabbed her at the side. Wonder Girl let out a gasp, the pain was unbearable and when she pulled it out and she kicked her to the ground, leaving Wonder Girl to touch her wound as she curled up into a ball.
"Wonder Girl?" Megan's voice ran through her head.
"Is she alright?!" Aqualad yelled.
"Where is she?" Kid Flash asked.
"I'm losing contact! She can't hold on much longer!"
That was the last thing Wonder Girl heard before she blacked out.
Frankie was in the apartment building she grew up in with a man standing right in front of her, her father. Her father was smirking at her in a twisted way that made the hair on Frankie's neck stand up.
"You have been a very naughty girl, Francesca." he sneered. "Teaming up with the league when you know that you don't belong there."
"I'm not afraid of you!" Frankie said boldly. "Not anymore! If I have to fight you then I will!"
Frankie's father laughed, "I'm not going to fight you my dear, you are a part of me, I'm going to find you and control your mind and turn you against everyone you love!"
Frankie blocked her ears with her hands and glared at him, "You can't control me! I can control my powers!" she screamed. "You're not a threat! I'm an Amazon not a psychopath!"
Wonder Girl woke up with a scream, clutching the sides of her skull, hoping to get the dream out.
"Francesca!" a male voice screamed at her, grabbing her wrist. "Francesca look at me." The nightmare had stopped and Wonder Girl opened her eyes and brought her arms down. She was in medical bay at the Cave, standing in front of her was Batman, Wonder Woman, Robin,Kid Flash and Aqualad. Frankie was panting heavily and shaking, Wonder Woman stepped forward and put her hands on Frankie's shoulders. "It's alright, Wonder Girl. No one is going to hurt you." Wonder Girl stared into her aunt's blue eyes that was always looking at her with so much love, she pulled her aunt into a tight hug. She hugged back without hesitation and Frankie put a head on her shoulder and cried a little. Wonder Woman made soothing sounds as she patted her hair.
When Wonder Girl was done, Wonder Woman pulled back and whipped her niece's tears. Frankie looked down at her side to see if the wound was still there but it wasn't. "W-what… what happened to my cut?"
"You never had a cut. She didn't kill you but she wanted to scare you." Kid Flash explained.
"She poked you with a dagger that had been tipped with a poison that brought up your worst fear." Batman told her. Wonder Girl nodded along to everything that she was told.
"How did the mission go?" She asked, looking at her teammates. "Is Doctor Roquette ok?"
"The mission was successful and Doctor Roquette is safe." Aqualad said. "After you followed the assassin, Artemis saved you from getting killed. Kid Flash brought you up here to Batman as fast as he could before the poison could do any damage. Superboy and Robin neutralized the fog and It was Batman who called Wonder Woman here and woke you up."
"Thanks for saving me," Wonder Girl said, looking at Batman and Kid Flash.
"No problemo." Kid Flash said with a goofy grin.
Batman stepped forward and said, "You can either stay here tonight to rest or if you feel well enough, you can go home."
"I'm going home, I guess." Frankie said as she got off the bed.
"Then let's go home, Francesca." Wonder Woman said.
