Chapter 11
Awakening
Victorious/ Shadow P.O.V.
~Flashback~
Nighttime In the city. Teenagers all over town were going to parties, going on dates or just being normal teens.
Me?
I was sitting crossed-legged on my bed, sharpening my kunais. And for me, that was normal, worried teen behavior.
Well, thats what I think all worried teenage ninjas would do in my situation.
As I worked on sharpening my ninth kunai, I heard the door behind me creak open. I looked over my shoulder to see a male brunette stand at the doorway. "Hey." I murmured quietly. "Come on in."
He left the door and walked over to my desk and grabbed a chair. "Hey." He said with a weak smile, as he took the chair, turned it around to face my bed and sat down in front of me. I put down my kunai and looked at him expectantly. He sighed not meeting my eyes for a second, before looking up at me with a smile. "He's going to be ok." He said. I closed my eyes with a smile, releasing a shuddering breath I didn't realize I was holding. "Thank god." I said before opening my eyes. "And how bad...?"
He shook his head still smiling. "I had to stitch him up, but nothing important got hit in the fight. However, he had to get blood transfusion," My jaw dropped, but he held his hand up to stop me from saying anything. "But Hideo already did it, so don't worry." He looked at my worried face and frowned. "You know you couldn't have done the transfusion, right?" I blinked in confusion. "Why not?" I asked him.
He shrugged and replied, "Different blood type. His is A+, Your O-. If we had given him your blood, He would have gotten sick or something." He smirked and knocked his fist on my head lightly. "Or he would have gotten your hardheadedness." I scowled and knocked his hand away. "Not in the mood for jokes, Jayson."
I layed back down on my bed, covering my face with my hands. It was silent for a moment and I thought he might have left.
"It's not your fault." Of course he stayed. Just my luck he would stay.
"What?" I said behind my hands not moving. I heard him sigh. "I said It's not your fault. So... so stop blaming yourself, it drives everyone crazy!" I moved one of my hands out of my face to glare at him. "How do you know if I blame myself?" He rolled his eyes. "Your eyes reflect your feelings." I smiled and closed my eyes again. "Hm, really? Teacher always told me that 'Eyes are mirrors to your soul, and if you cover them up, then you will be unpredictable in battle.'" I laughed without humor "If you could tell what i'm thinking, then maybe I should blind myself. Become more 'unpredictable' in battle and stuff."
The only reply I received from that was silence. I moved both my hands so I could see his now horrified expression and laughed for the first time in the last eight hours. "I'm kidding." I said sitting up. He glared at me. "That wasn't even funny, V. You really had me going there for a second." I laughed for a second time, lightly hitting him on his arm. "Please, as if I would let myself go blind." He smirked. "Yeah, you're too stubborn for blindness. " I shook my head with a smile. "No, I just don't have the time for any weaknesses. I have too many people to worry about. Besides it's not like I have a weakness." We sat there in comfortable silence for a moment, until Jayson asked me, "Want to spar?" I raised an eyebrow. "Wait... You want to spar with ME?" I asked in disbelief. "Wow... thats a first."
He rolls his eyes. "Do you want to spar or not?" He asked. I faked a yawn, stretching my arms over my head. "Nah, i'm ok." He rolls his eyes and gets up. I wait for him to place the chair back and slowly walk towards the door. 'One...Two...' He was about two feet from the door, when I lunge towards him. He turns around, probably to tell me something semi-important when I collided into him. Instantly, we are both wrestling on the ground for control of this unprepared sparring situation. After a lot of rolling around and after a few punches are thrown into the mix, I was triumphant. I had his arms forced behind his back with one hand, with the other hand I had on the back of his neck, smushing his face into the floorboards. I smirk. "I win." I said, releasing him from having a make out session with the floor. He sat up and rubbed his neck as he glared at my smug expression. "You do realize you could've snapped my neck just now, right?" I nodded, still smug. "Yeah, but then who will I be able to beat up after you're gone?" I said standing up.
I held out my hand to help him up. When he grabbed it, he tried to pull me back to the ground, but I wasn't going to let that jerk win round two. So I did the sensible thing: I jabbed a pressure point on his shoulder and he fell to the ground unconscious. I grabbed him by his collar and dragged him outside my room, before dumping him in the middle of the hallway. " 'Night Jayson." I said, even though he was asleep. I walked back into my room and shut and locked the door, before leaning against it. "I lied, Jayson. About not having a weakness." I murmured to myself. I closed my eyes and rubbed the side of my head as I felt yet another headache coming on. "I do have a weakness... But it's even worse than blindness."
~~Present time~~
I was awake, but I didn't open my eyes. One, Because I had a TERRIBLE headache. And Two, this was not my couch. MY couch was felt like it was full of rocks (It probably was, but I haven't got around to check yet.), while the one I was laying on now actually felt semi-comfortable. I laid completely still and limp, trying to process what I last remembered up till this point. Hmmmm... Well, it was a normal day at work at...Second time Around? I think thats right...then I... I left work at around ...10 P.M.? Yeah, that sounded familiar. I went into a nearby alleyway to get rid of a...um... a note? And then... I draw a blank, I could'nt remember anything after that. Well, thats a great way to wake up to, right? No idea where you are, and no clue how you got there. I opened my eyes and, just like I suspected, I was someplace I had never been before.
I was lying on a couch, as I suspected, But in front of me was a WALL of televisions. Despite my situation, I thought that was pretty cool. Although, I have to wonder about the remote situation these people must have- 'Ok V, seriously stop obsessing with these peoples t.v., you have more important things to be thinking about.' I thought to myself. I didn't have time to inspect my surroundings anymore, because I could hear voices heading my way. I quickly lied back down closing my eyes and lying limp once more. Soon, the voices came into ear shot.
"- still can't believe you just left him there, Mikey." An irritated voice said. "How many times do I have to say it! I. Didn't. Know. Who. It. Was. It was dark down there and I-" "Then maybe you need GLASSES." Voice 1 interrupted Voice 2/Mikey?. By now they were right in front of me. "Seriously Mikey. We need you to be more careful. I " Ok, really three PEOPLE? Next thing you're going to be telling me that theres a fourt- " So how banged up is he, Don?"
...
Four guys. Versus One injured me. Great, just great situation i'm in. Aw well, it's not that bad, at least they haven't taken my mask off ye-
"I'm going to have to take of his mask to see his head damage. After that i'll see to any other injuries."
...
I have to get out of here. Now.
I can't let them find out my identity, I would would probably be taken in.
I still lie limp, even though one of the guys (Probably Voice 1/Don?) was already pulling off my mask. After a second, one of my hands snapped up and closed around the guys wrist, squeezing it tightly, while my other hand pulled my mask back down all the way. Then I opened my eyes.
...
Why am I hallucinating a green face in front of me with a purple mask?
..?..
'Aw well, I can question my sanity later.' I thought.
I let go of the green guys wrist, only to raise my leg and slam it against his side, knocking the guy over, earning a shocked cry from him.
I rolled off the couch, and hit the ground on all fours, despite the ache in my upper arms i received from my sudden movements. I glanced up to see the others, one with a red mask was helping purple up, while the other two watched me warily. I smirked behind my mask.
' I have no idea whats going on, but one things for sure... i'm blowing this joint.'
To be continued...
A.N. Recap of this chapter.
1. Victorious/Shadow has a flashback while unconscious.
2. She wakes up to find she can't remember what knocked her unconscious, and thus forgets the fight and the turtles who had helped her.
3. When the turtles come into the room, she freaks out, assuming these are the bad guys who had knocked her out, and then we are left with a cliffhanger.
Yes, I know it might be a crummy chapter, but thats all I got at the moment. Next chapter will be better though.
Now then...
Michelangelo...
WHY DID YOU GIVE MY O.C. AMNESIA?!
or... did something else cause her to forget?
Well, tell me what you guys think in the review box, and i'll see you for the next chapter!
