Ianto woke up to an empty bed. He immediately frowned, wondering where Jack might have gone. He then heard noises coming from the kitchen, and soon afterwards Jack was entering the bedroom with a tray.

'Thought I'd treat you to breakfast in bed.' The older man said, a gorgeous smile almost blinding Ianto. He responded with a blinding smile of his own.

'Hm, what have you got there?' He asked, propping himself up to sit on the bed, supported by his pillows.

'Let's see... We have juice, coffee, fruit, and I made you pancakes.' The smile grew even wider.

'Wow. Thank you, Jack.' He said as Jack opened the legs of the tray, so he could set it on Ianto's lap. As soon as Jack got closer, Ianto pulled him in for a deep, 'thank you' kiss. 'Now come sit here and eat with me.'

They ate together, talking, laughing, Jack feeding Ianto his pancakes, then kissing away the syrup that slid down his chin. When they finished, Jack got up to put the tray on the floor.

'Come back here. I haven't thanked you properly yet.' Ianto said with a twinkle in his eyes, lying down again.

'Hmm. What are you planning on doing to me?' Jack replied while getting under the covers again, and moved into Ianto's open arms. The younger man pulled Jack closer, his lips brushing Jack's softly, and whispered,

'Anything you want me to.'

They spent all morning in bed, sharing lazy kisses, quiet conversations and soft laughter. It was hours later when they realised that they were starving. They got in the shower together, and not long after they were dressed and headed to one of Jack's favourite cafés to have lunch. When they got back, Jack had a bit of work to do, so Ianto found a book that interested him, and lay in the couch to read, where he could also watch Jack working at his desk. Every once in a while he'd look up from the book and stare at the gorgeous, wonderful man who was there in front of him, and he thanked the heavens that he was in his life. He pretended not to notice when Jack looked away from his work and stared at him.

About two hours later, Jack got up from his desk and slowly walked towards Ianto, trying to sneak up on him. He lay on top of him, and only then Ianto put away the book he was reading.

'Hey.' Ianto said softly.

'Hey, gorgeous,' Jack said with his most disarming smile, 'how are you doing?'

'Great. How's work?'

'Thought I could use a little break.'

'Hmm. Can I help you with that?' Ianto said, snaking his arms around Jack's neck, pulling him a little closer.

'I was hoping you'd say that.' Jack replied, leaning down to kiss Ianto softly, but soon deepening the kiss, which was quickly returned by Ianto.

'I think your break should be over by now, don't you?' Ianto finally said, after a really long time.

'Hmm, I feel perfectly fine where I am right now...'

'C'mon, Jack, let's go. You can finish your work while I cook you dinner. What do you think?' Ianto was trying to disentangle himself from Jack so he could get up.

'Hm, I like that. What are you going to cook for me?' Jack still wasn't moving.

'It's a surprise. And by that I mean whatever I can manage with what you already have in your kitchen.' Ianto was finally up and pulling Jack with him.

'Wow, it all smells delicious. How'd you manage that?' Jack came behind Ianto, wrapping his arms around Ianto's waist, and placing his chin on his shoulder.

'I'm a man of many talents,' He replied with a smile, leaning back in the embrace. 'Are you done?'

'Pretty much. Just need a little bit more editing, but I won't do it today.'

'Okay. Dinner will be ready in a few minutes.'

'Great. I'll be waiting right here.' Jack said, pulling Ianto closer. The younger man chuckled.

'Jaaack, I can't cook with you clutching to me like that.'

'But it feels so nice.' He whined, almost pouting.

'Why don't you set the table? I promise it won't be long.'

'Fine.' He finally let go of Ianto with a resigned sigh, but only after turning Ianto's head and placing a long, wet kiss on his lips.

Dinner was spent as expected. They sat as close as possible, talking, laughing, every once in a while one of them would put their forks down to stroke the other's hand, or cheek, or they would lean in for a kiss. Sometimes they would just forget dinner altogether and just stare at each other, the silliest smile on their faces, holding hands, making gooey eyes at each other. If anyone came into the kitchen at that moment, they would actually be able to feel all the happiness and love in the air.

After doing all the washing up and tidying the kitchen, they sat on the sofa to watch a film, some action one that Ianto picked at random from Jack's collection, Jack on one end of the sofa and Ianto with his head in his lap. But if anyone asked about the film later, neither of them would be able to say much about it, considering they were too busy paying attention to each other. When the film ended they got ready for bed, and settled next to each other, Jack holding Ianto close, his chest to Ianto's back. Ianto had his arm over Jack's, drawing lazy patterns on Jack's hand, while Jack placed soft kisses on his neck, and breathed in his scent. They stayed like that for a long time, until Ianto stopped his movements and seemed to quiet down and fall asleep, breathing evening. Jack kept paying close attention to Ianto, making sure he was asleep, and then whispered in his ear, 'I love you.' After a very short while, Ianto snuggled even closer to Jack and muttered sleepily, 'I love you, too.'

Ianto woke up the next morning to the feeling of soft kisses on his neck and shoulders. He moaned softly, and turned around, so he could face Jack.

'You know, as much as I appreciated breakfast in bed, it's a lot better to wake up with you holding me.' He kissed Jack gently, and pulled him close.

'I can't really argue with that.' Jack said a while later, when they finally pulled apart. 'So, did you sleep well?'

'Mmhmm. You?'

'Never better. Nice dreams?'

'Yeah, actually,' Ianto rolled over so his torso was now partially on top of Jack's, propped up by his arms, keeping both his hands flat on Jack's chest. He looked away a bit, as if he was remembering something. He had this dreamy look on his face, and a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips. 'I dreamt I met this wonderful man, in the most random way, and I was immediately struck by him. He was amazing in so many ways, full of life and energy, but also incredibly sweet and gentle. He made me feel so loved and cared for, in a way I don't think I've ever felt before. I fell for him right away, it would be impossible not to. We got so close so fast, and I'd never felt this level of intimacy with anyone before. I couldn't believe my luck, having found such a special person. Then one night he told me he loved me, and at that moment I felt happier than I've ever felt in my entire life.' Then he looked straight into Jack's eyes. 'Except I don't think it was a dream.' And the smile grew wider.

Jack, awestruck and speechless for once, only threaded his hand through Ianto's hair, and pulled him close by the neck, kissing him deeply, trying to put as much love, appreciation and gratefulness in it as he could. He felt as if his heart would burst with happiness and love. They kissed for a really long time, changing positions so they could breathe but restarting immediately, and both could feel all the love they shared. After what felt like hours, Jack finally replied. 'You know what? I think I had the exact same dream.'

Tuesday, early morning, Jack was woken up by a call.

' 'llo?'

'You know, I realised something.' Short pause. 'I really, really hate sleeping without you.'

A smile started spreading across Jack's face. 'Morning, gorgeous.'

'Morning, Cariad.' Ianto said, voice full of love. 'How did you sleep?'

'You are right, my bed was awfully empty and cold without you in here.' Soft sigh. 'But I can still smell you, so that helps.' Jack said drawing a deep breath, trying to prove his point. 'Are you getting ready for work?'

'Yeah, just got out of the shower, about to get dressed.'

'Hmm, tell me more about that.' Jack, surrounded by Ianto's scent, voice and words, was now completely alert, not so pure thoughts in his head.

'No, Jack, I really have to get ready, I can't be late.' Ianto said regretfully. 'I just needed to hear your voice after missing you all night.'

'I miss you, too, Yan.' Jack sighed. 'I still can't believe how amazing it was having you here all weekend. I don't think I've ever been so happy. But now the house feels so empty... I wish you could come here more often.'

'Yeah, me, too. Maybe if I can leave early one day this week we can do something.'

'I'll hold you to that.'

'You won't need to.' He said with a wistful sigh. 'Okay, I need to go now. Sorry for waking you up.'

'Best alarm clock ever.' Jack smiled. Ianto laughed.

'Bye, Jack. Love you.'

'Love you, too.'
