This Chapter is un-beta-ed. Please let me know what you think.

Raz sighed. "Dipper, why am I out here again?"

"Cause someone has to be on lookout." Dipper cried from inside the clothing store.

"But there's no one here."

Raz groaned when he heard no response from the older boy. Bored, he let his eyes wander to the mess of scattered merchandise next to him.

"What?" The boy started as he picked up a weirdly shaped rock. Man who ever made this must have been one heck of an artist. This almost looks like a real finger.

"Hello." A voice shouted, causing Raz to jump three feet in the air. "Is someone here?"

A skinny figure, dressed in a hoodie, stood in front of the mall entrance door.

"Who do you think that is?" Dipper asked, behind him.

Raz shrugged. "What do you think we should do?"

"Take this." The older boy whispered, handing over Raz a bat. Without drawing attention, Dipper ran to the nearest hiding spot. After glancing at the figure, Dipper made the 'stay where you are signal'.

Raz nodded. Without having to confirm he knew exactly what Dipper was going to do. Almost like I can read his mind… Stop thinking like that Raz! You can't read anyone's mind.

Raz shook his head. Turning back to Dipper he noticed that the boy had navigated behind the figure. Making sure he had Raz's attention, Dipper stepped out between the figure and the double doors.

"Who are you?" Dipper interrogated the figure.

The figure turned around and Raz tightened his grip. Come on, just try to mess with us.

"Dipper there you are man. I have been looking all over for you." The figure exclaimed.

Dipper froze, trying to calculating how the teen knew his name.

"Hello? Earth to Dipper?"

"I'm sorry who are you?" Dipper asked shaking his head.

The figure sighed. Reaching up he revealed his face.

Raz stared at the emo looking teenager. The black hair and eye makeup did not look familiar to him. Glancing over at Dipper, he could tell the older boy didn't recognize the teen either.

The teen frowned at Dipper's reaction. "Dang it, Dipper. I told you going after the Lamia was too dangerous!"

"Ah." Dipper backed away a few steps. Raz, seeing the act of aggression, quietly snuck behind the teen.

"Now look at you. You don't even recognize me your best buddy Robbie."

Raz froze mid swing. He's a friend?

"You know me?" Dipper asked, trying to keep the teen's attention off of Raz.

"Duh. Me and you are the best mystery solvers in Gravity Falls. See?" Robbie said holding out an old newspaper clipping.

Dipper walked closer to the newcomer. Grabbing the clipping, Dipper read the title out loud. "Mystery Solver Catches Vampire Bat."

Curiosity getting the better of him, Raz moved next to Dipper. On the clipping was a picture of Dipper fighting a giant bat with a Taser.

"So... we are Mystery Solvers?" Dipper asked, looking up at the teen.

"Yep one of the best."

"And you're my friend?"

"Yes." Robbie answered again. His smile starting to look a bit forced to Raz.

"That's great! I always knew that the supernatural had to exist out there. I just knew it! Oh man, I have so many questions about our old adventures." Dipper said walking off with Robbie by his side.

Raz shrugged, turning to follow them.

'Don't trust him!' a voice shouted.

Raz froze.

Okay, I know I did not imagine that. He thought glancing around, finding no one. But who's?

"Raz you coming?" Dipper called.

"Yeah, I'm coming." Raz yelled, running after the two.

"Oh man Dipper how could you not remember that? You were so brave when fighting those fairies. I thought for sure I was done for but there you were. Swooping in to save the day like always." Robbie finished.

Robbie smirked as Dipper looked down at his drink. For the last hour he had been telling the self-proclaimed heroes' stories about their "past adventures".

Man, if I had known that the brat was so easy to fool, I would have wiped his mind when he came here. He would have made a great errand boy.

"Fighting monsters, stopping evil children from ruling the town, following in the footsteps of a great scientist. It almost sounds like a dream come true." Robbie heard someone mutter, not that he cared who.

Robbie hummed, sinking down into his seat. Both of the two freaks were talking now.

Ha, maybe if I fall asleep they would find a gnome or something and chase it off a cliff. The teen thought darkly.

"What are you laughing at?" Raz's voice said, breaking into his fantasy.

"Umm… You know that one time… When Dipper used that… chocolate spaghetti" Robbie stumbled over his lie.

"Chocolate spaghetti? Does something like that even exist?" Raz made a face.

"I don't know Raz, that sounds like something my sister might try to make." Dipper defended. "Now let Robbie finish the story"

Oh yes this will be too easy.

"Yeah exactly. Now as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, Raz-put-in, it was a nice normal day. Dipper's sister had just come for a weekend trip and like every time she comes up here. She just had to see a new creature to befriend" Robbie started to spin another tall tale.

"So Dipper, you looked in your book to find one of the less deadly creatures. Unfortunately, we only had one of the journals at the time so when your sister saw the picture of the leprechaun we didn't really think much of it. So off the three of us go. Looking for tiny men, dressed in green and protecting their cereal or something."

'Leprechauns are magical creatures, right? Oh whatever.'

"After a while we run into them and dude let me tell you, never go out looking for leprechaun, their bite hurts. So we run away as fast as we can and get stuck at this cliff right? Leprechauns have us surrounded and at this point Razzy is shaking in his boots saying 'please don't eat me' like a baby. So your sister takes out this snack, yells come and get it, then reaches into her backpack and throws the spaghetti over the edge. And wouldn't you know it, the little men jump off the cliff for it."

"Then what happened" Dipper asked.

"Oh we just went home after that. Your sister got on the bus the next morning."

Robbie looked around, sometime during his story Raz had left the booth.

Meh, must have gone to the bathroom or something.

A loud boom filled the entryway.

"Geeze it's really coming down out there." Raz said looking in the direction of the window. "Guess the fantastic Robbie and his best friend Dipper won't be going on an adventure any time soon."

With a huff the boy kicked a nearby rock.

"It's just one adventure after another with the two of them." Another stone went into the air.

"Fighting Monsters."

Kick.

"Saving Everyone"

Kick.

"Being a hero"

Kick.

"Just like you've always wanted to do…" Raz sighed sitting down on the empty fountain. "Face it, if Robbie's stories are true then you're just a big joke. You can't even use your powers."

"Y-you're alone now"

Raz paused. "I am alone now... In an abandoned mall… Where no one could get hurt! I could use my powers!"

"Burning stuff might be a bad way to start." Raz thought out loud. "And I don't know if I'm ready for the stuff seen in True Psychic Tales yet. What to do… What to do… Ah, I could do that weird ball thing!"

Okay Raz. You just need to focus. Focus on making a weird ball thing under your feet. Concentrate. Concentrate really, really hard.

"Aannd nothing." Raz said bitterly, looking at his feet. "Of course it wouldn't be that easy"

Raz looked at the pizza shop where Robbie and Dipper were. "Focus Raz. Quit thinking about Dipper. Just focus on the ball. Focus on the ball not about Dipper and that Robbie jerk. That Robbie jerk who tells stories that- No focus! Just collect your thoughts and-"

"Ha good one Dipper!" Robbie's voice echoed.

A small red orange ball headed to the shop. Hitting the door frame, it bounced off the edge reversing its direction.

Raz ducked as the energy went sailing over his head. Ting liked sounds came from behind him as the projectile ricocheted around the mall.

"Ah!" Raz looked up, pinpointing the source of the scream.

"Who's there" He demanded. The tings finally stopping.

"Who's there" Raz asked again. "I know you're there. Come out or I'll shoot another one of those things!"

"P-please don't shoot" A female voice replied. "I'm just looking for my friend."

"Friend?" Raz looked around for the owner. "Do you mean Dipper?"

"N-No."

"Who then?" Raz paused. "Hello?"

"My name is Agatha Prenderghast"

Raz turned sharply towards the fountain. Standing on the brick, was a ten-year-old girl with blue eyes dressed Amish clothing.

"Razputin Aquato. Who are you looking for Agatha?"

She looked at the ground. "Just Aggie please. I'm looking for a median"

"A median? What-"

Aggie gasped and disappeared in front of Raz. Following the invisible girl's sight, Robbie and Dipper had finally emerged from the pizza shop.

"Raz there you are! Robbie says he knows where the Lamia is" Dipper exclaimed, running towards him.

"Oh did he now?" Raz spat.

"Raz, you can't trust Robbie." Aggie's voice whispered next to his ear.

"Dipper, I don't think we should trust Robbie."

"Raz what are you talking about? This is Robbie. We've been working together for the past year." Dipper defended.

"And how do you know that Dipper? Is it because you remember or because of the stories he is telling you!" Raz gestured to Robbie.

"Well… that's" Dipper paused.

"Dipper he's been telling you everything you want to hear. Going on adventures, solving mysteries, all of it's just a big lie!"

"What about the newspaper then! You saw it too Raz. Do you think that's fake?" Dipper yelled.

"I-" Raz paused. The newspaper shown to them didn't look fake. Was he just acting biased against Robbie?

Aggie said not to trust him. Raz thought looking at the teenager, standing there grinning.

Clenching his fist, Raz turned back to Dipper. "Look Dipper I don't know what to say about the newspaper clipping but I- I just need you to trust me."

Dipper opened his mouth to reply.

"Tambry, I love ya, You're the only girl for me, Baaabbbbbyyyy" A ringtone sang.

Two pairs of eyes looked towards the lanky teenager.

"Ah, that's not mine" Robbie straightened.

"You had a phone on you? This entire time?" Dipper took a step-in Robbie's direction. "I could have been making sure my sister was ok." Another step. "And you just forget that you had your phone?"

Dipper paused, glaring at Robbie. "Why?"

Thunder echoed in the distance.

Robbie chuckled. "You want to know why? Cause you're all a bunch of freaks that's why! All throughout the summer it's just Mystery Kids this, and Mystery Kids that. Well you know what I think! I think it's about time someone put you little freaks back in their place."

"Dipper" Raz yelled, picking out a weird sort of gun from Robbie's backpack.

"What kind of gun is that?" Dipper turned toward Robbie. "Were you going to use it on us?"

"Nah, it's broken now. Thanks to those little twerps down at the Mystery Shack. Course they wouldn't be around much longer." Robbie smirked.

"What do you mean. Where's my sister!" Dipper yelled. Robbie's smirk grew. "What did you do!"

An explosion of light and sound filled their senses. Then black.

I own nothing but the story.

So this is the first un-beta-ed chapter. As I am going over these myself please let me know what you think as this chapter, and most of the next chapters are really cringey and old.

By letting me know what you think, it allows me to grow as a writer and may get you faster updates.
