Hey, people :) Sorry that I haven't updated in a while, school is currently taking up most of my time, that's the same reason as for why this chapter is pretty short, but I didn't want to keep you all waiting too long!
Disclaimer: Me no own Pokémon
POV: Esko
Ugh, finally beat this stupid gym. It wouldn't have been as annoying if Colress' Klinklang hadn't spammed Trick Room, rendering Mienfoo's speed useless. Exhausted from the battle, I sat down on the next park bench I found and released Remedy, who I didn't use in battle. "Hey my friend, one more badge for us... I'm up for something relaxing, do you have any idea?" "Rose?" "Guess that means no..." "Hey there, Esko, right?" A familiar voice spoke from behind me, however I couldn't really remember from whom it was. I turned around to see Alex there. "Ah, hi there, we met during the train repairs, right?" "Yeah, and I've already seen that you're a great trainer. How about joining me on a little walk?" "Walk? Where to?" "Just come on, we're waiting for you." Out of the corner of my eye I could see Lydia, Bradley and Manny standing there, waiting for me. "Alright, but still, where are we going?" I asked as I got up. "It's a surprise, these three don't know yet either, but I promise it'll be fun!" "Sounds good to me, well let's get going!"
After a ten minute walk we had arrived at a place that looked like... a farm? "So, Alex, tell us now, what is this place?" Instead of answering, Alex just whistled a strange tune, and as soon as he did the door opened and he stepped in. The rest of us shrugged and followed him. Inside it was too dark to see anything, but I could hear Alex walking on as if he knew the way. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK" I tried to follow the sound of Alex' steps, but a deafening screech hurt my ears and I instinctively put my hands over my ears. "Damn, the heck was that?" "Something fuzzy touched my foot!" Lydia panicked and dashed back to the door, only to find out that it was locked. "Alex, this isn't funny any more!" "Alright, alright, calm down everyone!" Suddenly the lights went on, and after my eyes adapted to the new brightness I saw what must've scared Lydia.
Eevees. Eevees everywhere. On the other side of the room, Thomas, Alex and Wesley stood, the latter was busy cuddling with Eevees while Thomas held Alex' camcorder, while Alex himself was laughing. "Surprise! Welcome to the Eevee ranch!" Penn said as he entered through a door in the back of the room. With him, a young lass came in. "Hello there! Hope you didn't get too scared! Penn told me that he was gonna bring some friends, so feel free to make yourself at home!" "Penn, you know the people around here?" Bradley wondered. "Yeah, we usually visit this ranch once a month, so I thought why not bring you guys along?" Lydia had already overcome her shock and was now playing with the furball that had tackled her before. "This is awesome!" "Now you guys know how me and Penn started developing our love for Eevees! THEY'RE GREAT!" Sudden silence filled the room as Wesley's deafening voice caused everyone to flinch. "Calm down... now, you just brought us here to have fun?" "Not only that, we got a special permission for three people to take an Eevee with them, if they get along that is! Me and Wesley already have one, and Alex and Thomas declined the offer, so choose between the four of you." "I WANT DIS PLEASE!" Everyone looked at Lydia who was cuddling the Eevee which had a wide smile on its face. "Calm down, I didn't plan on taking one anyways." Manny walked over to Penn and sat down on a bench that was standing there. "Are... you sure? This might be your only chance to get one of these." "Yeah, I already have a team for this journey planned out." "Welp, guess I'll take one!" Bradley started walking through the room, looking for an Eevee that he liked as I did the same. Suddenly a brown blur flew in my face and started struggling until I backed off, it dropped to the ground and struggled to get back up, and when it did, the Eevee ran over to the wall and climbed up a pole from which it continued onto a wood plank which reached from one to the other. It tried its best to balance, but fell half way, again into my face. This time, I managed to catch it before, and when I did it just gave me a wide grin. "... I think I found mine." "Same over here! I think I'll name you... Storm, how about that?" The Eevee which was now climbing on Brad's shoulder just rubbed its face on him. "I'll take that as a yes." "Hmmm... what should I name you...?" The Eevee in my hands seemed to shrug as it tried to tap a pokeball on my belt. "Eager one, aren't you?" "YOUR NAME SHALL BE ZERO" "Damn, girl, calm down!" The Eevee which she was still playing with happily nodded and continued playing with her.
About three hours later, after we all had some food and drink, we left, splitting up in our groups as we continued our journey. "Time for gym leader Seera!"
Once again, sorry for it being so short, but I'd enjoy all reviews I get :)
