Alisha looked at herself in the mirror and giggled at her outfit, black heeled sandals, skinny jeans, and a fitted black and pink t-shirt, her hair was up in a ponytail and she used light make-up.

"wow I don't think I've ever looked like this" she said, thinking about what had happened over the past couple of weeks, one person left her and now some one else had found and loved her but in truth, she didn't know how to love him back.

"I guess I could try to" she said as she left the room to go and look for him, as she walked down the hallway she heard a voice behind her.

"Well hello" she heard as she turned with a smile, he was standing there leaning on the wall, dressed in a pair of jeans, a black-top and a leather jacket with his hair down.

"Hello to you too handsome" she said causing him to walk over to her and stroke her cheek.

"Wow, you look beautiful, but yet again when have you not"

She put her hand over his "thanks you look good, as usual" she said, earning her a smile from him.

"Thank you" he said picking her up so she sat on his shoulder "you ready"

"Yeah let's go" she said as they walked out into the night.

"You ready" he said as they walked down a dark lane.

"Yeah"

She said as he pulled back a thick branch revealing a cliff with a beautiful view of the city at night, the view was breathtakingly beautiful and the starry sky just completed the look.

"Oh xander, this is beautiful" she said as he took her hand and led her to a tree where they could sit under.

"True but I've seen better" he said as they sat under the tree, she leaned on the tree and he sat right beside her.

"Really" she said looking up at him; there was something about how he looked at night that was so different from how he looked in the daylight, at night his eyes glowed, but not in a scary way, in fact she found it handsome, but then a breeze came in "wow that was unexpected" she said rubbing her arms.

"Are you cold" he asked her.

"Yeah just a little, clumsy me forgot to bring a jacket" she said looking down embarrassed but then she was lifted into his lap.

"Well then, guess we have to cuddle" he said as he opened his jacket and tucked her into his chest covering her with the jacket "how's does that feel" he asked.

"Warm and cosy" she said snuggling into his chest, if this was how love felt, then she would not mind this every day.

"Hey Alisha, can I ask you something"

"Sure" she said looking up at him.

"Do I or have I ever scared you "he asked her.

"Well to be honest, at first you did but as I got to know you, you showed that you are gentle, kind with a big heart and now you don't scare me one bit" she said with a smile.

"Really" he asked as she looked up at him "but I have something to tell you"

"What" she said.

"I..." he started "I have a dark side that sometimes I cant control, all of my kind have it but because I'm not normal, mine is a lot scarier but I try to control it as much as I can, but I don't want to scare you"

"Xander, I don't think you can ever scare me" she said gently drawing circles on his chest "so don't think like that OK"

"Well ok then" he said smiling at her as she smiled back, they just stayed in that place, enjoying each others company till he suddenly opened his eyes and his ears stood up.

"Lisha, stay still" he said as he gently and quietly lifted her off his lap and sat her on the ground as he stood on all fours and began to look around, but as soon as he came out from behind the tree, 3 bullets came towards him one after another, hitting him right on the chest causing him to roar out in pain as he stood up and clutched his chest.

"xander" Alisha cried as she ran to his side to check on him"oh no are you alright" she said kneeling in front of him.

"Alisha" he said with his eyes closed, took his hand off his chest to show the three rubber bullets in his hand, but then he stood to his full height and then she saw the two men with the gun arguing among them selves.

"I thought you said that was the real deal"

"It is, look at it" the man said unaware that Alisha was right in front of them.

"Excuse me you too, but what the hell do you think you are doing" she said not believing these men's actions.

"Hey back off girl" the man said looking at her "or better yet, come with us" he said reaching out to her causing her to take a few steps back.

"Yeah, we will protect you, precious" the other man said also walking towards her. But they stopped in their tracks when they heard xander roar, still with his eyes closed.

"I'm going to give you two to the count of three, and if you are not gone, then you won't like what would happen next, one...two" he said taking a step toward them.

"Not with out the girl freak" the man said grabbing Alisha, who was not paying attention to them and began to run with her in toll.

"Three!" he roared as his eyes flew open to show that the white of his eyes had turn black and his calm green eyes had reduced to glowing green slits, his already tight black shirt tore off as he grew from his already huge 9'2 height to a scary 11'5, his normally smooth silky black hair was now thick and rough around his face and shoulders and then down his back, and his claws were fully out and they were the size of 12-inch kitchen knives. He was already mad that they ruined his night by trying to kill him but then they ran off with HIS Alisha that just sealed the deal as he roared before he chased after them.

"Hey let go of me" she said as they dragged through the forest.

"No a chance" the man said as they ran "now hurry up" he said tugging on her arm causing her to fall on the ground, hurting her ankle.

"Dude just leaves her and let's gets out of her before that monster gets us"

"I think it's a bit too late for that" she said trying to pull herself up, but couldn't because her ankle.

But before they could ask her why, xander came tearing through the forest and grabbed both of them, one in each hand.

"h...hey" the man said with his hands up "we were not going to hurt her" he said but his reply was xander putting on the pressure on both causing them to cry out in pain.

"Please, don't kill us" they begged but he was not listening to them until he heard Alisha be-hide him who was tending to her injured ankle, then he dropped both of them to the ground.

Alisha wasn't paying attention to the men in front of her as she was trying to figure out how bad her ankle was hurt, but she did notice when xander stood in front of her because the ground shook.

She knew he was looking at her but for some reason she couldn't look up at him, maybe it was because he was growling or maybe because she was actually scared of him like this, but she did promise him so she slowly looked up at him, brown meet green.

"Umm...hi" she said to him hoping to get a response but got none, she saw the men behind him try to run away but they couldn't

"Xander?" she said to him but still no reply, he just continued to growl which was scaring her the more, but then they were interrupted by a bullet whizzing right past xander head causing him to turn around to see one of the men holding the gun.

"now you listen you freak, give us the girl, let us go and no-one will get hurt" but as quick as the man said it that was how quick it was for xander to kick the man into a tree, knocking him out instantly to the horror of his friend, but before he could do it again.

"Xander stop it, your scaring me" Alisha cried out to him causing to stop in his tracks and turned towards her before he walked back towards her and just like the two men, picked her up with one hand and brought her up to eye level. He looked at the men and then at her before he ran off with her into the forest, leaving the two men to the fate of the forest.
