Shadow felt like he was continuously falling. In a never-ending slumber that kept his eyes shut tight. He imagined those bright yellow insects fly around him, calling out his name and showing him how to dance the steps of the moon-light as they were his ground. Then one butterfly out of the flock of insects, came and touched on the nose. This made him lose his balance and once again fall onto hard ground causing him to force his eyes open, his muscles tense and his body in total pain.
"GAAAAAAH! NNNGH!" Shadow screamed.
"Looks like you're up." A feminine voice said contently. "Speak up now. What's your business here and what's your name."
Shadow whose head was swirling like an alcoholic, whose eyes were unfocused and whose head was in a fuze only answered what he knew "My name is...Shadow...I...don't know...wha-why am I here..."
"Where did you come from? What kingdom do you belong to? What's your rulers name? Can you answer any of these?" The voice stern asked
Shadow who finally managed to concentrate on his eyesight locked on into contact with the master of the voice. Her amber red pupils and yellow iris gave here as ferocious look. Her light blue skin gave her body a smooth elegant yet tough appearance and her fiery hair just made everything come together with her black garments. That hide the most important parts of her body. She smirked
"What? Am I so beautiful you are left with no words?" She laughed
Shadow jerked his head back and as red tints filled his head. He looked to the side avoiding any more eye contact. "Ummm. I don't know the name of the kingdom I belong to or the land I came from but I do know that there is a Princess named Zelda and my big brother Link that is her preferred guard..." Shadow stopped seeing that the woman was no longer in a jolly mood.
"Where did you come from?" She glared at him "Where and how did you come from, Shadow?"
"I-I-I don't kno-"Shadow was cut off "THAT IS NOT AN ANSWER!" She boomed as she arose from her seat.
"Princess Midna! Please relax we will deal with him" the twilight guards made there way to Shadow.
"Don't you DARE touch him!" Midna grind her teeth "He is sick with the light. Can't you see his cut?"
Shadow looked at Midna in surprise and looked at his wound. It glowed brightly spilling the bright liquid all over him.
"If you can't answer that, then tell me how did you got the cut then?" Midna said trying to keep her composure.
"L-Link and D-Dark w-were f-fighting e-each other. I got in the middle of them a-and both of them hurt me b-by a-accident." Shadow stammered with his words.
"So that wound was caused by your carelessness?" Midna's eyes seemed to pierce right threw him.
"N-no...maybe...I don't think so...hopefully." Shadow rambled to himself half answering Midna half not. She sighed and looked back at the mysterious child that appeared in front of her out of nowhere. She got up from her seat as she made her way in front of the child. Shadow feeling her presents get strong as she got closer. Coward away just to feel cold dark shields stop him. Shadow felt panic arise and sheer fear, he crouched and cuddled into a little ball.
Midna now towered over the darkling making Shadow feel even weaker than before.
"You reek of that power. That sick power that once threatened my land and the lands of Hyrule." Her voice stabbed his ear's, smooth and melancholy but the tone made it dangerous and fearful. She continued "If you intend in hurting my nation. You will answer to ME! Is that understood dark being?"
Shadow trembled in place and shook his head. She grinned "Good. Now that we are in the same page, Miss Ebony? Would you be a dear and lead Shadow to the guest rooms please?" She chirped happily, dismissing the threat she has given to Shadow and walked happily back to the chair.
A young lady appearing out of no where bowed before Midna "Yes Milady." She turned to Shadow "Follow me." as she walked out of the throne room.
Shadow seeing no other option ran after Ebony. Midna smiled "I suppose I should be glad that there is still a way to enter the Light world right?" she looked at the now empty throne room covered in twilight "Which means I could still I visit Link..." She sighed as heavy memories poured into her mind,'It feels like it was just yesterday...'
"Milady?" Midna turned around to see her butler's worried face, she smiled "It's nothing to worry about Raven."
"If you say so Milady..." Raven cleared his voice and spoke again "Milady should we keep tabs on the lad? Or is his no threat at all in your eyes"
"Raven...no wonder they assigned you to me" She laughed lightly "As for Shadow, I'm not sure but just to be on the safe side would you be up to the challenge?"
Raven smirked "You have my word, Milady"
"You don't know how much that relieves me, oh and before I forget do you mind getting the things ready for our 'guest'?" She looked at him directly in the eye. Raven not fazed simply nodded and went on his merry way. -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Shadow was awe struck. The room was enormous compared to his room back home. The bed seemed freshly feathered and puffed. Although the room had no decoration or color it was like a dream come true to Shadow.
"This will be the room you will be staying in." Ebony's voice rang. Shadow turned to face her just to see the room had been closed and she was no where in sight. "Listen boy, we do not know what you intend to do but if they are bad...lets just say you'll never return from where you came from."
Shadow looked at the door and answered "I don't know what you are talking about. I don't know why I'm here but I'm sure it wasn't because I wanted to do bad here. Link would scold me...but Dark would..." He kept that thought to himself. Shadow felt her presences gone, now alone in the room he had time to think.
'Okay I'm alive and I can move around and I have white blood coming out...' Shadow freaked out 'I HAVE WHITE BLOOD COMING OUT OF ME!' He swallowed his scream and tried to calm down. He checked his belts : no pockets, no shield, no sword. He sighed and rubbed his neck just to find leather string hanging the mirror.
"The mirror..." Shadow stayed flabbergasted "I have..the mirror..which means..it can tell me wher-what to do!" The mirror immediately showed him what to seek: a mirror stand, a hallway, the throne room, and his room where he is staying. The mirrors light glow and shined a crimson red as it showed the faces of Raven and Ebony. 'Beware the eyes of Darkness...'
Shadow stayed awe-struck at the sight of the mirror before it completely turned0 off as a knock was heard.
"Sir Shadow?" a stern voice was heard. Shadow quickly hid the mirror, stammering "Y-yes?"
The butler opened the door in his hands he was holding, clothing, bandages, and a towel. Raven signaled him to follow, Shadow catching on quick followed him. The passage to his unknown destiny was a silent one. Noticing this was one of the things the mirror showed him, he took note of it, for later reference. At the end of the passage Raven stopped in front of a wooden door.
Turning around he whispered to Shadow "Look, the door in front of you is a bathing room you may use it but if the nobles catch word of it they will get you in trouble. Understood?" Shadow nodded as Raven continued "I'm going to stand guard but you take a quick shower okay?" Shadow once again nodded
The butler opened the door, Shadow quickly entered and closed it. Undress quickly he entered the warm water. He sighed 'So I just passed the hallway now what...' He bathed quickly, washing every corner of his body. Drying up and dressing his wounds with the little knowledge he knew about injuries , he darted his eyes to a very interesting corner.
"What,...is that crack over there..."Shadow whispered to himself. After poking and pushing the crack was made into a hole. "Why would a...oh...well this is interesting" Shadow smiled as a plan began to form into his head. 'Where ever this hole leads me it must be somewhere far way from his grasp.' Shadow entered the hole noticing he can turn around. He quickly reclosed the hole putting the stones in place. Grabbing the mirror, it began to point arrows to another unknown destination. Shadow sighed and followed the clues.

After what seemed hours of non-ending crawling he met a dead-end, there were cracks on the wall here and there in this mini adventure and he did see the throne room. Remembering the conversation he overheard, He began to feel bad.
~FlashBack~
"Princess Midna the child is no where to be found and his power seems to be pressed." The butler bit his lip.
"What?" Midna seemed not to be in the mood for this.
"Yes...He was bathing and then...disappeared." The butler said it loud enough for her to hear but no-one else. Luckily for Shadow the crack was just behind the royal chair. She took a deep heavy sigh and got up from the chair, which had defined her bad mood even better. "Guards! Flip the castle upside down! Check every crook and cranny! Do not leave any stone unturned!"
"I-I'm sorry my L-Lady. I-" The butler was cut off "I know what your intentions were. I did say to treat him like a guest. It is my fault for thinking that just because he is a child he wouldn't act so quickly. Looks are deceiving but I have learned my lesson and when we find him I shall have no mercy."
~End of Flash-back~
Shadow shivered at the idea of getting caught by the Princess's guards. "Link...Dark...I'm scared. Please...goddess...protect me from the wrath of the princess. I-I don't want to die yet." Peeking through the crack of the wall he noticed that this room was closed. The only way inside was through this passage. He smiled. "Thank you divine goddesses!"
Pushing the stones aside the mirror frame stood in the middle of the room. "Okay...now what..."
The mirror floated and set itself on the mirror frame, it expanded it size to fit the frame. Shadow stayed awe-struck. BOOM. The wall behind him collapsed and Midna's cold eyes set his senses over his head.
"I thought you were going to be a good little boy and behave but it seems like you are already causing trouble in my house."
"N-no you don't understand! I-I just-!" Shadow stuttered
"NONSENSE!" Midna roared "I said that if you dare hurt my nation I would DESTROY you! And here you are in a sealed room! What do you think that makes me feel huh?"
"But I-"Shadow began and was silenced by her glare.
"Now now princess don't get upset at the child" a voice said in the darkness.
In Confusion, everyone looked around. The atmosphere began to get dangerous.
"Show yourself! Coward!" Midna voice sent hate vibes everywhere.
"Oh~ho, haughty as always~" The voice continued "And I'd love to show myself but you see, I need to save that child first, since you can already see that you know...,he's dying..."
Shadow's eyes grew "I-I'm dying?"
"What did you think? That the sword hummed for no reason? The sword's hum is the song of death to any Shadow/Dark creature roaming the land. Even the princess in front of you had to deal with the light in her body." the voice explained. Shadow turned to view the Princess who was also in shock.
"How...How do you know that information creature?" The Princess demanded in a low voice
"Let's just say I saw it through the blue eyed you befriended." The voice replied.
As the air got thicker a sudden sound caught everyone's attention. A low hiss was heard as the mirror glowed and made a portal to the light world. As Midna was about to destroy it, a power pushed her back and forcefully grabbed Shadow. Dragging him into the mirror disappearing with it in a flash. Midna looked at the mirror frame that had no evidence of this event ever happening. She grind her teeth in anger "This won't be the end of it shadow creature..."
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
Shadow hollered. His body felt like it was cut to pieces, which it was, in a flash, to later be put back together with the same intensity he felt before. Tears ran down his cheek, the pain on his side returned and seemed to be eating him inside out. Then familiar voices were heard.
"Dark what the heck is wrong with you!" Link yelled at him "Do you know how painful it is to be teleported that fast?" Dark snorted "Do you know how much energy it took to push that crazy women and at the same time stretch my arm to reach that stupid child? Ain't nobody got time for that!"
Shadow found himself on the floor staring at a very pretty lady who's clothes wrapped around her nicely and she was wet...go figure. She made her way to him, her expression unreadable thanks to her scarf, and gently picked him up. He stiffened. "There, there" she patted him as her other hand glowed and removed some pain he had on his side. He groaned in displeasure. It seems like something else was swimming in the pool of light.
"You moron!" the voices got stronger "Shut up you stupid idiot!" "Do you wanna die Punk?!"
"You asked for it!"
"You guys we have something else we need to deal with!" Zelda yelled. Both of them stopped their fist one inch away from their faces.
"He started it!" both of them pointed at each other. Zelda face-palmed,"Dark you know how to heal your race right using the moon-light so here." She holded Shadow out like a puppy, gentle yet firm. Dark was glaring at Link, who was also glaring back, "Well finish this later butt-face." Link snorted "At least I don't smell like shit."
Dark growled under his breath cursing at Link while retrieving Shadow from Zelda. Dark began to stretch his shadow over the pool making it possible to walk over it. Half way there, when the moon was at is peak, it casting it's face on the water, making the whole lake shine a pure white.
"Shadow don't fight what your about to feel," Dark whisper to him "Let it wrap your whole body it'll hurt but then it will smooth out and fill your soul."
"Dark wha-" Shadow was cut off by Dark's stare. They weren't anger or intense like before but gentle and full of worry "Just trust me."
Shadow felt the gravity pull him, Dark became a blur as the water began to swallow him whole. He began to swallow the water, everything began to darken, this hurt. It felt like the liquid was tearing his lung to shred, he struggled. Then he saw Dark's hand a light of hope.
