As they traveled to the tower Ziggy wasn't quite sure what was going on.
Nix seemed nervous…..and pretty; yes as 1-9-5-2 had said she had wonderful birthing hips…..and cheek bones…hmmmmm…and eyes…where had he seen those eyes before?
He was getting off-topic again…
Where was he?
*beep, boop, beep boooooooooooop*
Aw yes! thank you 1-9-5-2!
Nix seemed nervous; she had chewed through her nails…for the third time in thirty minutes; the short specimen he had come to know as Zane-Who also did not like ANYONE calling him vertically challenged was sighing frequently and rubbing at his temples….amber seemed agitated and Rachel was….well he couldn't really tell what was going on with her….
Turning to the new member he went to ask her to see her looking around every few seconds with her fingers twitching towards her hidden knife. He wasn't quite sure who she was though…
Once again sighing he turned towards his most loyal companion
'Do you know what's going on 1-9-5-2?'
And for once, the small convenient machine was completely silent.
'What exactly is going on?'

The young, amnesiac cyborg and the rest of the beta try-outs were waiting in a white room that made the giant far too uncomfortable, especially since 1-9-5-2 was being unsocial.
"Hey Apollo you ok?"
His body trembled as he bit his lip in a silent scream as the name rendered up nightmares of surgeries, experiments and grotesque creatures before a hand settled on his shoulder and he turned to the person defensively about to release one of his metal projectiles before he paused and looked into the concerned eyes of Wastrel.
"Are you ok?" she asked softly and sympathetically, rubbing the boy's shoulder.
What was just happening again?
"I am unsure what you mean…" He drawled not knowing exactly what ok meant. Was it perhaps a form of genome in which he had been a part of?
He wasn't sure.
Before he could question her however he was interrupted by the appearance of Robin; boy wonder and leader of the titans…..
"Hello Mr. Birdbrain it's a pleasure to meet you; are you here to inform us of are duties and responsibilities as the new beta team?"
As this was the most often referred name for Robin by the members of his team he didn't know that his actual name was Robin and NOT birdbrain. Not that his team-mates bothered to correct him.
Nix face-palmed while Amber and Zane stifled giggles and Rachel openly laughed while the new girl looked on nervously
Robin quirked an eyebrow; or…..maskbrow? and silently stared at the curious cyborg.
"…..No" he answered slowly "At least…..not at this moment…I'm actually here to inform you that you will be AUDITIONING to become a member of the beta team." He answered slowly to the surprise of none of the trainees.
Good. That was a point in their favor.
Clearing his throat, The Batman's Protégé shuffled through several sheets of paper before looking up again;
"Right; so the testing will be held in two stages; Stage one will be divided into two halves. Part A will be an Obstacle Course which shall be hosted by members Starfire and Beastboy; While Part B: Combat Skills will be judged by Myself and Cyborg; and finally Stage Two: Will be a Mental Analysis and Psychological Profiling which will be conducted by our resident empath Raven. Any Questions?"
Silence once again being his only answer the Boy Wonder sweat-dropped; sighing once before shuffling through his papers and deciding on the most unknown of the try-outs to audition first.
"Could I have Apollo step forward please and follow me to the first tests?"
The blonde once again looked up and nodded before standing up and turning towards Nix who looked at him curiously "ummm y-yes?" she asked nervously; unsure what the boy could want before he thrust out his microwave.
"Could you please watch over 1-9-5-2 for me?" He asked as politely as he could; making Amber snort as Zane rolled his eyes.
The aquamage shyly nodded as she accepted the machine from the cyborg and he smiled in reflex and nodded in thanks before following the short teen to the first half of the tests that would determine if he'd be part of this new team or not.
XXXXXXXXX Stage One: Obstacle Course and Combat Training XXXXXXXXXXXXX
As Ziggy followed after the blackette; he couldn't help but wonder where he had heard of this 'Starfire' before…
Disregarding the fact that she was a very famous heroine who was part of the Teen Titans
"Alright right this way please; we'll give you a number to record your scores and afterwards you'll move onto the next stage ok?"
Nodding thoughtfully the boy was taken to the first half of the stage and his eyes shone in recognition of the Tamaranian whose eyes shone as well.
"X'hal! Glanorf ke'noff orion na ga to re 1-9-5-2?" The alien princess asked smiling at the boy who politely nodded once more at the girl.
"Ummm star I don't think that-" but once again Robin was cut-off as Ziggy answered back.
"Glanorf ke'noff shi'gii goga ra 1-4-2-4 Koriand'r saurk'e mo Klu ck ck ga re" He bowed politely as she laughed humorously at his response before smiling; Robin suspiciously staring at the teen before writing on his clipboard.
"Ok, since you two already seem to know each other then I guess it's time to continue on to course; Starfire if you please?"
Smiling at the detective who blushed in response Starfire nodded before turning to the cyborg.
"Joy! As you can see, the course of obstacles has levels of three that are unique- Land, Water and Air. Your goal is the following of completion" She turned to beastboy who smiled in recognition before finishing where she left off.
"You are to save a drowning victim; pursue a 'robber' on foot and immobilize him and in air since most of the time you'll either be rooftop scaling or following a runner on foot; try to keep property damage to a minimal this is to test your powers since they're currently unknown as well so feel free to open your best can of butt whooping dude!"
The Tamaranian floated over towards the boy smiling as she stuck a cloth marker with the number four on the front of his uniform.
"You may do the beginning as soon as you hear me say G'Nol is this the ok?" to which Ziggy curiously looked at her which she correctly read as 'whenever you're the ready' before she floated back to her judging booth and took a deep breath.
"G'NOL!"
As soon as Beastboy started the virtual timer, Ziggy had turned to the course his computer-enhanced eye taking in every detail with-in the span of a second before he saw an android form and morph into a common criminal holding a purse.
As soon as the man turned; Ziggy took off in pursuit now in his persona as Apollo.
"I bid thee to stop before unneeded violence is performed" the teen stated unemotionally; as the 'robber' turned around pulling out a gun and firing three rapid shots at the quickly gaining teen.
He quickly used the cybernetic tendons in his legs to spring ahead of the criminal before using his eye to quickly look over his flight plan and possible strategies that were possible from his 'test'.
The world went into slow-motion as Ziggy swan-dived to the ground; the impending shock-wave knocking the criminal off its feet as it was blew back before being met with the visage of a giant in the dust cloud; one purple eye blazing as the robber once again reached for their gun before a small metallic strand had wrapped around it and pulled it away being crushed under Apollo's boot as he slowly descended onto the quivering villain.
"Distract target" he drawled before using his boot to launch up a cloud of dust as he dashed in; as "block blind jab" he pulled up his forearm to block the punch that came out of the screen turning around as he moved with the kinetic force bringing his elbow up in a stunning blow to his opponent's left cheek "counter with blow to left cheek"
"Discombobulate" he opened his mouth in a soft sonic scream that only his enemy could hear as their circuits started do misfire.
"Dazed will attempt wild haymaker employ elbow block then body shot" he brought his left arm up blocking the attack as he launched a quick jab into the body followed by a quick hook to the jaw crushing it completely before he brought his left foot up into a swinging axe kick making the target launch face first into the ground much to the shock of the two titans present at his quick performance.
Ziggy launched one debilitating strike to the back of the neck knocking the thief unconscious before he grabbed a nearby steel beam and warped it around the criminal who quickly turned back into a robot.
"HELP!"
Ziggy looked back as looked into the water and ran forward before pausing his body trembling for a brief moment before the hero created metal disks on his feet focusing as sweat rolled down his face as he forced them to vibrate at great speeds; nodding to himself as he walked on the water floating softly as he bopped up and down wobbly; grabbing the victim and quickly shotputting them back onto shore before he started sinking; thinking quickly he shot out a small wire of titanium and used it to swing him out and onto the next course where he panted softly nodding as he scaled the construction beams slowly; his body unable to move much faster than he was moving now as he flipped onto the gym rings both of them cracking under his weight before he once again shot out a metal wire and used it to grab the torch before flipping in midair landing in another seismic shock as he stood up and carried the torch over to Starfire who smiled graciously and accepted it.
"Well done! Now please move onto skills of combat with Cyborg and Robin, though I am the sure you will do the well"
Nodding once; Ziggy panted softly as he rotated his shoulders; his tech was short-circuiting again and it always hurt whenever he had to work through it he breathed softly willing it away as he walked over to the gym where Cyborg and Robin were quickly finishing their warm up.
Taking this chance to analyze them; Ziggy watched.
'Cyborg is big and strong….he uses his size and his strength to overwhelm them…..but also because of his weight from his machinery we'll be evenly matched in that regard…but my Kryptonian alloy is solar energized…making me stronger…..very close to jor-el but not kal-el in terms of strength…..mostly free-form and boxing style.'
The giant of a teen turned his attention back to the boy-wonder and he gulped silently.
Robin…to put it simply was on another level entirely.
What he lacked in powers he made up for in his dexterity, flexibility and vast knowledge of martial arts…his body had natural reflexes honed so well that it could almost be called superhuman.
The original heavy-hitter of the team turned towards the challenger and grinned.
"So you ready kid? Don't worry I'll go easy on you." Cyborg grinned flexing his muscles intimidatingly but unfortunately for him; Ziggy was unknown to such an emotion.
Climbing up into the ring, Robin quickly explained that the spar was done on a three point system; points can be made with body shots; head shots counted as two; stepping out of bounds was automatic loss and T.K.O was an automatic win.
"Do you agree to these terms?" the crime-fighter asked to which he received a silent nod.
Stepping out of the ring cyborg through in a red flag "Start!"
Immediately Ziggy entered into his Phantom Vision:
-Head…..cocked to the right; relies more on his cybernetic eye while fighting; slight drag in his step. Injury to the motor sensors in left Achilles; His stance shows that he's sure of himself and he's a veteran fighter compared to the fact that no one knows about my skills…..his smirk shows he's cocky…allow him the first two points-
Cyborg smirked as he noticed the flaws in the boys fighting stance using that to his advantage to quickly charge the 'unsuspecting' Apollo with his signature battle cry
"Booyah!"
His fist quickly met with the boy's face causing Apollo's body to launch forward in descent as Cyborg grinned bringing his knee up
-Will believe that fight has already been won; block follow up Knee to face-
The veteran titan smirked as he had already won the fight; bringing his knee up quickly to cement his win and to cross the trainee off of their list.
His eyes widened however as his knee met resistance; looking down he was even more awed to see that it was in the quickly crushing grip of the younger cyborg.
-While stunned with surprise at opposition aim well-placed punch through his Achilles tendon…..sever-
While the titan paused, Apollo quickly threw a hook against the teen's injured motors in his heel…and severed through it.
-Screaming in pain; will be unprepared for the spine bend and kick against his power cell shell immobilizing him for the spinning back kick to face…gaining victory. Physical recovery….four hours with some of my nanocells working on him….."
The blonde quickly arched his spine as he launched a backsoaring heel kick into the metal plate located in the large African-American's chest causing cyborg to scream once more before he was met with a spinning back kick causing the cyborg to be launched into the air before he met the heavy ground.
Laughing, Cyborg grinned getting up shakily with the help of the younger cyborg and smiling "That shows me what I get for being so cocky…..good job you totally showed me not to underestimate you"
Smiling unemotionally Ziggy nodded before Robin smirked and turned towards him.
"Well…how about we fight now?" To which the teen shook his head causing Robin to look at him suspiciously.
"You're more experienced then I am and also more flexible and faster…..while I have advantage in strength you would utilize wing-chun and quickly disconnect my attacks; then as I force my body to move faster my circuits will misfire causing me to freeze for you to incapacitate me….you'd win"
Smiling at his logic the boy wonder nodded before leading the boy to the final stage. Mental Evaluation with Raven

Several hours later Ziggy stepped out looking exactly the same as he did when he walked in.
Looking on in awe, Robin turned towards the interrogation room to see Raven just looking at the door in wonderment.
"Well?"
At the boy's voice Raven looked up before smirking slightly.
"I just have one question…..is his best friend really a microwave?"
