okay so something sucky happened. My beloved laptop is no more, please have a moment of silence in its memory. I'm currently using a tablet, for those of you who use tablets you know how vastly inferior they are to a laptop, but I will make due. This is why it too a month to get this chapter out. I type too fast for the tablet to keep up with and it drives me insane.

So updates will be a bit lacking for a while sadly, it I promise I will not be stopping so don't worry about that. Just please be patient with me. For now enjoy this chapter.

Disclaimers: I only own the fabric not the three games its based on.

Following the path of the dripping tunnel they came to a ladder leading up to a lit area. For a lack of a better place to go they ascended the metal prongs and came to what was labeled as the "ADMIN BLOCK" if the sign was anything to go by. As Alex got to the top he offered his hand to Desmond and helped him out of the hole. They were still in the sewers but at least they put some distance between them an Walker.

Unfortunately he wasn't the only problem.

"Walrider? WALRIDER!" A man's screams were heard down past the locked gate into a black tunnel. More screams joined his own but no words could be understood between the sounds of tearing flesh and crackling bones echoing in the hollow chambers. They stood still and their hearts stopped when the screams ceased. They waited for something or someone to come out of the darkness but nothing did.

"Walrider is what the priest was talking about..." Desmond muttered.

"Maybe another super freak like Walker?" Alex suggested but neither of them believed that to be true.

Regardless the screams had stopped and it was safe, or at least as safe as it could get, for them to advance. Quickly going along the only path provided for them they put the screams behind them. They had no interest in meeting whatever caused whatever they'd heard. Their minds wondered to what it was, who it was, how was it connected to Walrider but came up without answers. Desmond remembered the file he picked up beforehand and figured now was as good a time as any to read it.

Looking it over it just made thing make even less sense. A Dr. Werniker was heading an experimental procedure called Project Walrider. It varied from using drugs to painful procedures on patients to increase inanity and making them applicable to take part in the project. Apparently only Billy was a success on it and became the Walrider. But it didn't explain what it was or what it was doing. Demsond replayed this information to Alex and handed him the paper on the drugs used on Billy.

"If anyone besides me were on this many medications they'd be dead without machines keeping them alive. If Billy is this Walrider thing then he's not going to be moving anywhere." Alex handed the paper back and Desmond put it away. "But that doctor... Werniker. I remember some others talking about him once. They said he died ten years ago but that paper is dated just a few months back."

"How can a dead guy sign off on a procedure at all?" Desmond shook his head. "Abstergo has some fucked up methods to things. For all we know that guy might not even be dead."

The tunnel came to an end leading them into a door and down another ladder. Finding bloody water waiting for them was yet another nightmare stacked away for a later date. Desmond looked left to try and figure out where to go but Alex dashed off in the other direction and started to try and break the lock on the gated door.

Looking at the signs in front of them Desmond understood Alex's desperation to go that way. The sign pointing left was towards the male ward which is the direction they no doubt that to go in. The right lead to the female ward and no doubt Alex's sister. Sighing deeply Desmond walked up behind Alex and put his hand on his shoulder to try and get him to calm down.

"I've thrown a fucking tank into a helicopter just to get it out of my way and now I can't even break one single fucking lock keeping me from my sister." Alex hissed as he slammed his fist against the metal making it echo through the tunnels.

"We will get her Alex. But we can't go that way. I'm sure we'll find another way." Desmond tried to be supportive without making it sound like they were leaving his sister behind. He fully intended to find her and get her help just like he promised. But they were both realistic people, the idea that she was alive was laughable and yet it was nearly the only thing keeping Alex sane for now.

Alex grit his teeth and slammed his hand against the gate again before pushing off it. Reeling in his rage and frustrations he tried to focus on the task at hand. Trudging through the water he walked down the tunnel with Desmond following close behind. As they kept going through it became clear that the screams they heard from before came from this very tunnel.

Stepping over limps and disemboweled organs, the walls painted in blood and yet there was more than enough to taint the water pink. The kills were fresh as the blood still dripped and the smell of rot hadn't set in yet. Desmond nearly tripped over a man's head stuck in the expression of terror and pain. Whatever did all of this wasn't human.

Desmond grabbed Alex's arm and pulled him back as he caught something on his camera. A black mist was moving around the corner from them making just the wisps visible. Pulling his camera away from his sight he saw that there was nothing to the naked eye. Alex looked over his shoulder silently and his eyes went wide at the video as he recorded. Inhuman sounds came from the other side as a screech echoed before the wisps vanished. They were both still for several minutes as they made sure the danger had passed, both their eyes trained on the camera.

"That was the..." Desmond just couldn't believe it.

"Walrider?" Alex finished and asked neither of them expecting an answer. No other way to explain what they saw other than that they just saw a fucking ghost that can tear people limb from limb. Alex had had more than enough of all this random shit and pulled on Desmond's arm once they knew it was clear. Tugging him along to the end of the tunnel they were forced the crawl through the bloody water to get to the other side of the cramped space.

Coming out to a draining room they hoped up onto a ledge. At this point they were just walking through the area's as they came to them. A dead end could hit them at any second they were sure. Places like this didn't have maps and no one bothered to keep track of how to get around. With only one door there they talked through and ended up on a metal walkway over waist deep water. The walk way had not been spared the damage the rest of the asylum had been hit with and part of the walk way had broken off. Jumping down into the water they at least had to solace that it was clean water.

That air of calm was shattered as they heard a loud thump and splash. An all too familiar growl echoed around them. Alex quickly put his arm around Desmond's waist and slowly pulled him back towards the wall. The Assassin followed his guide while using his camera to try and see where their enemy was hiding. Biting back any biting words at the sight of him he showed Alex the sight of Walker moving in the distance.

Alex nodded his head and angled the camera to a broken ladder poking out of a hole in the ceiling. It was their only way out but it was a narrow path. If Walker got too close they'd be fucked beyond all recognition. But they had little choice. Moving slowly together Alex kept them moving towards their exit while Desmond kept his camera trained on Walker. As the giant made his way to the far side of the room they made their way to the metal stairs leading up to the ladder.

Luck was not on their side as they stepped onto the metal in the water it raddled and part of the railing fell off into the water making far too much noise. Walker howled and charged at them, water splashing loudly signaling they didn't have much time. Alex shoved Desmond in front of him who in turn didn't waste time in running up the steps and across the platform. He's already been choked out by Walker he didn't want to repeat that.

Getting to the end he jumped onto the broken ladder and climbed his way up. The fucking platform though broke under his feet and splashed into the water making the jump that much further for Alex. Knowing he'd just be in the way Desmond scaled his way to the top and called down to Alex not seeing him at all. Walker's yells could still be heard as well as crashing metal. Still there was no sign of Alex.

"Alex don't make me come after you!" Desmond yelled into the hole. He was just about to climb down when he felt the ladder shake under his hand and looked down to see Alex slowly climbing up while sopping wet. Walkers yells were ignored as Desmond helped him onto dry ground to catch his breath. "Did he get you?" He looked him over for any notable injuries but couldn't find anything with such thick fabrics on him.

"N-No... Just missed the first jump." Alex panted. "Had to loop around the fat ass and try again. Not surprising... jumping with wet clothes is harder than it looks."

Apparently some vagabond hard Desmond yelling and came into the room swinging a crow bar at the two of them. Desmond was one hundred and ten percent fucking done with shit like this. When the man got close he grabbed his shirt and used his own momentum to throw him over his shoulder, and Alex who he was standing over, and toss him into the hole they had just climbed up. A splash and a crunch later it was quiet again.

"That... was really fucking hot." Alex smirked as he got up off the floor. Desmond just chuckled and went out towards where the mad man came from.

And there we go. As I said before updates will be slow but I'll do what I can. A new laptop is no where in my financial future sadly. Hope you uys enjoyed it, please R&R
