A/N: Well...I'm currently in two classes which demand a lot of writing, so my inspiration to write in my spare time has suffered. Sorry. Anyway...here's another chapter. On the bright side, one of those classes is basic essay writing, and so some of those techniques should translate to better writing here...in addition to a need to reformat my fanfic so it isn't MLA perfect. Yeah, that's a real fun time.

Luke was very disoriented. He was looking at himself. The concept confused him so much, he just stood and stared. Then something moved in his peripheral vision. He turned his head to look at it...and was once again completely mind-boggled. He'd seen a torch, which he had several of all over to light up his base, flicker. And when he turned to look at it...he saw Terraria in 3D. No minimal sprite textures, either, he saw fully real looking versions of everything in his base. His mind was about ready to explode from information overload. His base was incredibly clustered, and the sight of everything looking real was just...too much. He collapsed onto the ground, eyes shut tight. He'd seen some incredible things, but this took the cake. Terraria was a game, for one. What was he even supposed to do there?

Then a message appeared in the lower left corner of his vision, even though his eyes were closed. The air grows colder around you...

Luke's eyes snapped open. He knew what that meant. A mechanical boss was coming for him. Which one was it though...? Wasn't the air growing colder Skeletron Prime? The hardest one to fight? Great. It would make sense, though. The world he was currently in would still summon Skeletron Prime on the occasional unlucky night, because he hadn't beaten the giant metal head yet. He had beaten the others though, the twins and the mechanical worm...what was that one called? It didn't matter. He needed to prepare himself. He wondered how he'd open his inventory, then an inventory screen popped up in front of him. He jumped a bit, but then breathed a sigh of relief. He had what his character should have to beat Skeletron Prime. Full Frost Armor, a Megashark, and around 1,400 crystal bullets. He also had a flamethrower, a Grenade Launcher, 859 Rocket III's, a Golden Shower, a Nimbus Rod, a Rod of Discord, (good lord he remembered the hours he spent farming for that...) and various other things you might find in a Hardmode inventory. Things like wings in the accessory slot.

Anyway, now that he knew he was equipped, he needed to hurry to the massive arena building he'd made for these fights. If he remembered correctly, he had enough time to get there till, but he needed to move. He went out his door and then jumped into the air. To his surprise his wings automatically started flapping, carrying him high into the air. He could feel them moving on his back...the sensation was unusual. It felt like his shoulder blades had learned to tap dance. Then he reached his wings' limit and began drifting back down. It felt so peaceful, just drifting like that. Then he realized he was going to come down in the crimson. His flamethrower popped into his hands without conscious thought. That must be the weapon in his 2nd slot, the one he equipped without thinking. He wanted to try the Megashark first though. That was in the 1st slot, so he imagined scrolling down one. He noticed out of the corner of his eye that the 2D representation had his hotbar at the top, and the highlighted slot had moved. He'd have to think about that later, though, because he was coming down practically right on top of a spider!

Luke hastily aimed at the spider, and then ptptptptptptptptpt! That spider practically disintegrated under the hail of frost-fire buffed bullets. A few legs and body parts burning with frosty fire exploded out, and some loot dropped. Luke wanted to get that loot, and just like that, his wings vanished and he plummeted. His stomach disintegrated in that way it does when you suddenly fall, and before he had time to shout, he hit the ground running. Right, he thought...no fall damage with wings. He hadn't even felt an impact. He ran toward the loot, and it rushed toward his body. As it hit him, he heard the sound of things hitting his inventory, and noticed that on the 2D representation, the amount of silver and copper he'd picked up popped up over his head, just like in the game. Interesting, some things that couldn't translate well to a 3D environment were represented in the 2D one.

Luke flew and glided the rest of the way to his arena, stopping only to blowtorch a few enemies with his flamethrower. He'd forgotten how fun it was to use that thing, and how purely illogical it was that it gave the on fire and whatever the freezing fire debuff was at the same time. He also started to check the 2D representation for the unique things only it could provide. He could see on the other side of walls, for example. He selected the Rod of Discord in his hotbar, and teleported into the massive building that was the arena.

Wow...this thing was impressive in first person. The snow brick walls blended into the snow brick backwalls nicely, and were impressively uniform. He regretted using mushroom platforms now, because they didn't fit as well when you stood on one and saw the mushroom-like design up close, and could compare it to its surroundings. But, if he recalled correctly, he hadn't had too much of a choice...for some reason. The details had faded. The warm feeling of campfire and heart lantern buffs filled him again. He hadn't really noticed back when he left his base, but he did now. He checked his life. Sure enough, it was regenerating back up to a full 480. That must be why he noticed the buffs, because they were actually doing something. He must have touched one of the mobs he roasted on the way to the arena and lost a bit of his life. His life hit full, and he instantly felt...different. He could tell he was in peak condition to fight.

Wait! He needed to set his spawn at the bedroom on top of the arena! Luke started flying upward as fast as he could, and teleported with the rod of discord into the respawn room he'd set up at the top of the massive arena. As he did, he heard the terrible laughing noise that could only mean one thing. And there it was in the corner of his vision: Skeletron Prime has awoken!

A/N: Well...I can only apologize for the delay so many times, and I must warn you, there will be more delays. Hopefully not this long, but...who knows. Side note. I watched Edge of Tomorrow. Heeheehee...that's going to be very fun.
