Hello everyone and welcome back to another exciting chapter of the pack of Azale. I hope that you all have enjoyed it up until now. Now then on to chapter 10.

I continue to look at Cloud, but don't move any closer. Sephiroth quits growling at me and Zack watches along with Cloud. I look away and move deeper into the cave so that they will feel more at ease. I feel my heart breaking at the thought of having to let Cloud go, but I know that he would feel more at ease if I left. 'Don't lose all hope yet Squall. He may be worried now, but he will not just let you go, give it time young one you shall see.' I sigh as Griever says this. 'Time is not on my side Griever and from the way he was just acting I don't believe that he wants anything to do with me. He feared me, of what I might do to him now that he is in heat. How can I become his mate if he fears me? I don't know if this is going to work anymore. Things are getting to far out of hand and I just can't seem to keep up with it.' 'I know that it's hard, but you must push through. Prove to him that you can be trusted. Right now, he's scared. You were the same way.' I sigh, but don't argue as I continue to walk deeper into the cave. I guess if things are meant to be they will work themselves out. I hear running water and feel myself relax as I move towards the sound.

I finally come to the place where I could hear the water running and look around. The place is huge, more than big enough for Cloud's pack and my own to live comfortably. Looking at the ceiling, I see water running like a waterfall and making a small lake in the center of the cave. 'At least we wouldn't want for water.' I continue deeper into the cavern, towards the water for a drink. I hear multiple footsteps coming closer before hearing a gasp. Looking up I find Zack staring at the cavern. I go back to drinking the water when he come towards me. I look at him and he stops while staring at me. 'I just wanted to talk to you without Seph intimidating you.' I stare at him for a bit, but don't see any lie. 'Alright.' He moves closer to the water before lying down. 'I noticed that you just walked away from Cloud even though he's in full blown heat. How were you able to do that? Not many others would be able to.' I look back at the water thinking over what he said. 'I walked away because he was frightened. I never want to make him feel like he can't trust me and by me staying he would have felt as if I was forcing him into a corner. I don't want that and he doesn't deserve that. The fact that I was able to walk away doesn't mean that I don't want him, it was difficult to walk away, but it was harder to think that I was forcing him.'

Silence greets me after saying this, so I look up to find Zack staring at me. I blink and look around before looking back at him. 'What?' 'Sorry, I just never imagined I would find someone that cared so much about how he would feel. It's not every day that someone passes up the opportunity to make Cloud their mate.' I nod and go back to drinking from the water again. 'You don't seem so different than the others, but at the same time you're completely different. I don't know what to say or do really.' I hear noise and look up to see Cloud and Sephiroth standing on the ledge. I move away from the water and to the wall to lie down. They make their way towards the water, Sephiroth keeping an eye on me while Cloud drinks. I ignore it and watch the water fall into the small lake. Zack walks over and I look at him to see a sad look on his face. I narrow my eyes as I look over to Cloud to find Sephiroth watching him with a soft look. I stand up and they look at me. 'I give up Cloud, it is obvious that I have been wasting my time.'

Cloud's eyes widen at what I have just said. 'What do you mean you've been wasting your time!?' He asks. I begin making my way towards the entrance. 'You're in heat. You don't trust me and don't try to deny it because if you actually trusted me, you wouldn't need your guard dog to protect you. I'm leaving Cloud.' I watch as Cloud's face falls with every word I say until he's staring at the ground sadly. I look to Zack to see surprise and Sephirtoth just looked angry. I turn away and continue towards the entrance. 'Squall, please.' Cloud cries, but I ignore it and continue on my way. I reach the entrance before I hear running behind me. I turn to see Zack. He stops before me with tears in his eyes. 'Zack, what's wrong?' He looks at me sadly. 'Can I come with you? Even just for a little while.' I nod and we make our way towards Vincent's home. 'Xemnas, we're going back to Vincent's' 'Alright, we will meet you there.'

Zack and I begin running towards Vincent's without a second thought. The trees blurred as we ran, but a feeling of unease makes me look around. I continue running while looking for what was making me so uneasy. We came to Vincent's house to find him waiting outside. I stop before coming into view. 'What's wrong?' Zack asks. 'I don't know, but I plan to find out.' I change back into my human form and make my way towards Vincent. 'Xemnas, something's up. Zack is waiting within the tree line, stay with him.' 'Zack? I thought you were with Cloud.' 'I'll explain later. Just stay with him.' 'Alright we're with him now. Be careful Squall.'

I walk towards Vincent and he looks at me. I notice his tense shoulders and worried eyes. I look around and notice a lot of people walking around as well as a lot of ships. My unease grows, but I remain calm on the outside as I arrive next to Vincent. "Vincent, what's going on here?" I ask quietly. "I'll tell you once we're inside. For now, play along." He replies just as quietly. I nod just as a couple people walk up. "My men and I are almost ready to retrieve those wolves."" I feel the hair on the back of my neck rise and feel my body begin to tense. The man who had spoken has short black hair with a deep scar running from under his right eye and down his neck.

He was wearing black hunter's clothes and his two friends were the same. "I still don't see why it is really that much of an issue for them to be here. They haven't hurt anyone and they don't venture out." "I understand sir, but there are many in the village that are just concerned. We are only going to relocate them to another area, nothing more." I keep myself from growling but only just. 'Squall, Cloud and Sephiroth have just shown up. They want to know what's going on.' Xemnas says. 'They will know as soon as I do. Go ahead and head back to their den. I will follow as soon as I am able.' "This seems a little much though. They haven't bothered anyone." Vincent says. "I'm sorry sir. The order has already been made. We move out soon." The three of them leave and Vincent and I walk inside the house. I follow him into his bedroom where I watch him pull up a trap door. He motions for me to go down and I quickly climb downs the stairs into a room where Cid and Yuffie were. "Hi Squall, what are you doing here?" Yuffie asks. "Finding out what's going on." I reply.

Vincent steps down beside me and sighs. "Well, as you heard, thy are here to move Cloud's pack. What you don't know is that it's by any means possible." I stare at him for a minute before looking at Cid. "If I could convince Cloud would you be able to move them?" Cid nods. "As long as they are in human form then it shouldn't be a problem." I nod "Is there a way out of here without going back up?" Yuffie points down a narrow pathway. "Go down that way. It leads directly to the forest. I hope you can help them." I nod and quickly move down the hall. I come to a door at the end, opening it I came face to face with Zack. I blink and he just smile sadly. "I'm here to bring you to the den." I nod and follow him into the forest. We quickly change and hurry to the den. As we come to the den, I see everyone standing around while Sephiroth and Xemnas are growling at each other. I see Cloud in front of the den with Sora and Roxas beside him. We walk in and everyone turns to us. 'Squall, what is the situation?' Xemnas asks. I look at him before looking to Cloud. 'There are hunters here and they are here to remove you all.' Snarling and growling started up, but Cloud, Sora, and Roxas remained calm. 'What do you mean?' Cloud asks. 'I mean that the villagers are getting scared and they want the removal of your pack. I don't know whether they are just here to move you pack to another area like they say or if there is more to it as I believe is the case.'

Cloud looks to Sora and nods. Sora stands and moves towards me. 'Relax, this won't hurt I promise.' I nod as I stare into Sora's eyes when I feel a presence enter my mind. I force myself to stay relaxed as the presence gains strength. I suddenly feel a sharp pain and I yelp and move away. Shaking my head, I try to rid myself of the pain that has suddenly overcome my head. The growling and snarling stop as I try to keep from whimpering from the pain. 'Squall?' Xemnas asks. I grit my teeth as the pain increases and makes its way through my body. I feel a presence touch my mind as the pain racks through my body. 'Calm yourself Squall. The pain will pass. Lay down and rest.' I find myself listening to the voice and lying down. Whimpering in pain I shake slightly as someone comes close to me. The nuzzle the side of my face before lying beside me. I move my head closer to whoever had laid beside me and they nuzzle me again before growling is heard.

I flinch and whimper as I move away. The person beside me growls loudly and I flinch again and try to make myself as small as possible. 'It's not my fault. It's not my fault. It's not my fault.' I repeat this repeatedly as I listen to the growling grow in intensity. 'It's alright Squall. None of this is your fault. No one blames you.' I calm down and open my eyes that I never realized I had closed. I start as I see Cloud standing in front of my growling. I whimper softly and Sora moves into view. I watch as he leans down and nuzzles me gently. 'What did you do? You said it wouldn't hurt.' Sora looks at me sadly. 'It shouldn't have, but apparently, things didn't go the way they should have.' I glance over to see Cloud looking at me softly. I shake slightly as the pain increases. 'Don't fight it Squall. Allow it to show you the reason for your pain.' Griever says. I take a deep breath and close my eyes as I release it. I feel myself being pulled and allow it to happen. The pain releases and I can breathe easier. Looking around, all I see is black until I begin walking. As I walk the black begins to fade and the scene I see before me leaves me in shock. I stare wide eyed. This is not what I expected at all.

Well, that's it for chapter 10. I'm sorry this is so late I have been really busy with school and what not, but I promise that I haven't forgotten about it. Anyways, please R&R and I promise to have the next chapter up sooner.
