Out of the corner of my eye i see ana standing in the door way with her hand covering her mouth, had she seen the whole thing? Theo shifts in his sleep and turns over and i make sure to tell taylor to install a night light in here or something. Its far too dark for someone who has night terrors and the bed side table light is too bright to be kept on without disturbing him but for now it will do. I slowly get off his bed trying my hardest not to wake him or worse touch him in a no go area which to behonest is every where and it breaks my heart.
I walk to Ana and she kisses me gently " come to bed christian you've been in here for 2 hours soothing him and just watching him" i nod with one last look at him i leave to our room and fall asleep spooning ana. I wake again feeling an unfamilar hand on my arm causing me to jump up and look around frantically but once my eyes rest on the tearful ones of theo every thing else doesn't matter "theo whats wrong buddy?" is all i can say with concern laced in every word as its just turned 6am.
He stares at me then looks at the bed and it clicks "y you wanna get up with daddy?" He points at where his head rested last night before looking at me again ohhh he wants to lay on me but how? I stare at him confused till he walks over to a puffy chair and drags it over and stands on it. It takes him awhile but he eventually gets on my chest and curls up and i have no idea what to do, i mean i cant wrap my arms around his middle so i just rest a hand in the middle of his should blades and fall asleep again.
The next time i wake up its because of ana gasping beside me, i open my eyes to see that theo is now sprawled out on top of me with his cheek on my chest and my hand in the middle of his back. I feel confused as to why shes gasping but she whispers "good morning baby boy" oh my god hes awake and my hand is in a no go area! Theo makes no movement and his breathing is normal as i look at ana she mouths "hes been like that for ages" obviously he was afraid to move he didnt want to wake me!
I move my hand to the matteress but his hand shoots out to grab it and the littlest whine is heard before his head moves to look at me, his eyes widen at the fact im now awake "hi there baby bear" i say with a soft chuckle and he rolls onto the matteress in between ana and i and continues to roll till hes up against her chest, ana's reaction is the same as mine as she looks at her baby boy but makes no moves to touch him. At this point hes starting to panic because her hand is unintentionally resting on his ribs but he cant move so i gently pull him by his outstretched hands off of it and onto the bed once again as i coo softly knowing that hes is probably having a flashback of some sort.
