Bridget swan looked over the silent hills of Wyoming. She couldn't believe her younger brother called her after all these years, and whether she wanted to admit it or not she owed Charles David swan everything. While their parents had been old, they were not the kindest people. Strict and hardheaded. So, when she got the opportunity to go to college and become a vet. They immediately said no but her little brother Charlie wasn't having it. He packed her bags in the middle of the night, handed her an envelope of cash and sent her off. Their father had given Charlie the beating of a lifetime, he always seemed to get the crappy end of the stick. Taking care of their parents, being married to that ungrateful Renee and then having a child. He stayed in forks, never being able to discover life. And now he needs her help, after ten years of only writing letters. Bridget sighed. She owed to him and the niece she was meeting for the first time.
Charlie sighed as he looked at the four snoring teenagers. They had landed at the airport and his sister had sent a rental car for them. He had to make sure it was big enough which it was. They were all exhausted. His mind wandered to his big sister. He hadn't seen her in ten years. Ten years. She hadn't even come home for their parents funeral, which he didn't blame her for she had helped him over the years financially. He wished he would have come to see her sooner. She probably could have snapped Bella out of her vampire induced coma. Charlie shook his head as the Swan ranch came to sight. The swan ranch, his sister had started it after she graduated vet school, people all over the world brought their farm animals to her. heck, she grew sugar beets, raised hogs, sheep, horses, and buffalo. Some other critters that he couldn't remember.
"kids... wake up where here," Charlie said gently as he looked at the huge log cabin, his sister had built. He could see her waiting on the porch, just like they did when they were growing up.
Charlie felt his eyes sting as he got out of the car. "Bridgette." He greeted
"Charles." She greeted back. The two siblings stared at each other before, Bridgette motioned them in. She was a true swan…never one to physically show their feelings.
With her silent welcome, Charlie guided the four teenagers, Bella being carried by Jacob Into the warm but huge log cabin.
