Turning Lemons Into Lemonade

By Imyoshi

~ Exquisite Touch ~

The British villain twisted his cane in one arm, with the other arm fixings his glasses. He grinned at Ronald, unable to resist his inner temptation, "Now, now lad... now look who's being a cliché?"

Ron bawled his fist tightly, the leather from the gloves stretching hard. This villain – this guy was stepping on all his last nerves. No, more like dancing on them relentlessly to the point for his blood to grow hot and the air in his lungs to become heavy. Every fiber of the sidekick's being demanded action and all his inner instincts backed up that demand.

The British gent grinned wider at the menacing look coming from his new trophy. Maybe this scrapper will prove to be more of a challenge. A better sport he presumed, than the feeble wench. After all, Austin enjoyed a good sport every now and then.

"What's wrong lad? Cat got your tongue?" teased Austin, Ron tensed up, holding up his hands in a defensive stance. Grinning, the British man leaned forward before dashing straight for Ronald, "Well if you won't make the first move, then I will."

The British man leapt forward, aiming a well aimed kick right for Ron's body. Eyes alerted, Ron narrowly dodged to the side, trying to aim a counterattack by going for a jab for his back, but failed when Austin slipped to his other side, and pushed his untrained arm out of the way.

Barely stopping himself from falling, the blond tried to twist his left arm to his arm to connect anywhere on the dude's body. But he only connected with the shaft of the cane. The gent chuckled from Ron's surprised look and grabbed his arm, heaving his over his shoulder and straight down on the steel flooring in a loud thunderous crash.

The chuckling grew down to snickers as Ron quickly got back up. He made some small distance between each other, but Austin didn't mind. In fact he didn't care. He only flicked a few specs of dust off his shoulders to show his ever growing enthusiasm.

"C'mon lad, is that the best you got?" he asked amusingly, brushing off the dust from his cane. "I expected better," the gent rubbed took off his glasses, rubbing them with his eyes closed, "Then again, you're not much different from the girl there." Austin nudged his head towards the direction Kim laid.

The teen girl glared at the insult, but couldn't find a witty comeback to say. All Kim could do was barely hold herself up from the floor and take the insult.

"I'm just getting started dude," proclaimed Ronald, forgetting about the back pain he just endured from the floor crashing. This response actually made the grin on the gent's face fall as he put back on his glasses. And suddenly, Austin walked forward to Ron who immediately took a defensive stance he learned from watching Kim before.

"You just getting started you say," wondered the man out loud, lacking the usual optimistic edge in his voice. Whoa, reality switch! He spun the cane between his fingers once before clearing the distance in one fellow dash, "Now I find that hard to believe lad." Ron didn't even get much time to react before the dude slapped him across the face from the back of his palm. Ron's eyes widen. Did he just get slapped? Again? "Normally when people say they are just getting started... that just means they are trying to buy time." Austin poked, devoid of much cheerful emotion; he then delivered a quick knee kick to his stomach making the blond clutch forward in pain.

"Now you can't honestly expect me to believe you have some hidden moves in you. Do you? You pathetic boy," he then engulfed his palm around Ron's unguarded face, slamming another quick one two combo onto his body, before tossing him idly to the side. "Get up you mongrel. And show me a bloody good time," his grin returned.

Getting up and finding much needed air. Ron gritted his teeth, hiding the pain as hard as possible. He couldn't show any signs of weakness, but oh boy it was there. Glaring hard, Ron didn't know how he was going to fight this guy. This British dude had pushed and slapped him around without even breaking a sweat and did it with a damn smile on his face.

Kim so far didn't like what she was seeing. Ron was losing – bad. This British guy was pushing him around with ease, just the like the way he did to her. Only difference, Ron didn't know how to fight back.

"So my precious ducky," both the teens tensed up from his sudden words, "Ready for round two?" Austin spun his cane behind his back, dancing ever so lightly on the floor. He smirked, pretending to throw the cane suddenly at Ronald, but to only release his hold till the very tip.

Panicking and tricked, Ron ducked under the false trajectory of the weapon, narrowly dodging nothing. It amazed him how he was able to trick him like that, but what really amazed him was to find Austin waiting for him with a well timed sweep kick. How was the guy so fast, Ronald would never know? Flipping him off his feet, Austin aimed for Ron's head.

Instincts kicking in, the sidekick maneuvered away out the way, hearing the loud thud sound echo off the floor. Visibly under the impact, a small crack remained behind. Wow he almost got hit by that! Eyes widen, Ron got up breathing heavily and all the while growing more detest at Austin's grin.

The British villain moved his cane between his arm, clapping mockishly at Ronald, "Pretty good for a sidekick." The teen scowled, holding his hands from away his body in an open palm like way. The British dude playfully moved side to side, "But you're going to have to do better than that."

Side – side, step – step, the man took a small step forward and then a big leap forward at Ron.

The sidekick wasn't even given time to react before Austin crashed his fist right for his stomach. Luckily this time he intercepted the force by cupping the gent's fist, but could only watch as his free hand slash cane, went full force, trailing down for his head.

Thud!

Kim's body shook violently, watching as Ron blocked Austin's cane with arm. She could tell Ron suffered a lot of pain from the blow. His shaking arm plus Austin's sneer only proved her point. Even though he did block it, she knew firsthand the amount of force the British dude could wallop in one swing. A hurting feeling still resided in her stomach.

Ron held back both of Austin's attacks, but the pain was majorly real. The inside of his arm burned like hell and his hand trying to push back the villain's attack couldn't stop shaking from the overwhelming force. And all the while, the British man leered at him through his glasses, in a sick playful way.

"Hehe, so you blocked me attacks," mussed Austin, enjoying the face Ron was making, "Pretty good ducky," he leaned ever so forward, adding more vigor in his arms, Ron retorted back, adding his own strength. "But can you block this?"

Before Ron could figure out his next move, Austin tossed his cane up in the air, staring up at it as he did. Ready to block his next attack, Ron's eyes followed the spinning cane –!

Lub-dub!

Kim's chest ached. No! The hero girl's eyes remembered this scene all too well, "Ron it's a trick!" she yelled.

But it was all too late.

Kim watched as her world crumbled before her – soaring through the air from a disastrous kick to the chest was Ron. He... he did it again. Tricked her – him. The cane was but only a distraction to leave Ron wide open for an easy and direct hit. A distraction they had both fallen for.

An overwhelming driving force made itself known within Ron's chest, as he soared back a few feet through the air, hitting the floor in a small crash. A confused look quickly came and went, being replaced with agonizing pain. The sidekick clutched the center where Austin kicked, unable to hollow out his groaning.

"I shouldn't be surprised," Kim let her gaze lead to Austin. The villainess gent folded his arms on top the red emerald on his cane, resting lazily on it. Smiling wider at Ron, he sighed happily, "I mean bloody hell! What exactly could you have done?" Ron didn't answer, still fighting off the pain, "Nothing. That's what. And you never ever will be able to... sidekick," trailed the gent.

Ron stopped.

Sidekick. That word. That single word – annoyed him. It annoyed him to his core. He shouldn't be called that. He didn't deserve to be called that. He didn't want to be called that. After all he's been through; sidekick shouldn't even be affiliated with him anymore!

Burying the pain, Ron dashed forward. The British guy smirked, getting off his off cane, and preparing for the teen's counter attack. Leaning forward Austin slid away from Ron's incoming fist and dodged the slow attempt he made with his other. The gent was finding this amusing. Stoppable may have taken care of his lackeys, but compared to him – he was on a whole other level. Dodging left and right, Ron was quickly tiring out. Not good.

Watching her 'best friend' lose to this guy didn't make Kim's hope rise. He needed her. Ron needed her. They needed each other. No. They needed something else. They needed a distraction.

Almost regretting her painful movements, Kim fought to get up while Austin was preoccupied with Ron. This probably was going to be her only thing she could do to help. Gasping heavily, the hero girl ignored the pain in her stomach and chest and jumped right for the British dude's body.

Toying with the sidekick, Austin enjoyed the merriment that came with being a super villain. All the perks like henchmen, money... a bowling alley. You name it! He had it all! And now, he would be having a new pair of heroes to add to his trophy colle–!

Having only been paying attention to Ronald, he didn't even see Kimberly coming in from behind, and latching onto his arm where he held his cane. Eyes for once shocked, Austin didn't have time to counter the direct uppercut blow to his stomach done by the sidekick. The guarded attack sent him back a step or two with the dreaded girl letting go of his arm in the process.

Forcing her body to remain up, Kim took a battle stance towards Austin's direction, fighting the growing pain in her chest.

Lub-dub!

Ron tightened his fist; feeling glad that at least one attack landed on the bloody bastard. He didn't know how to feel with Kim standing beside him helping him in this fight though, but fought down his emotions for now. Now wasn't the time to poke holes, especially where the odds still happened to be in his favor. Even with Kimberly by his side, the teen could see the look of exhaustion in her face and all over her deprived body. Oh yea, definitely still in the fruit loop's favor.

Catching his breath, Austin fixed his specs to observe the sudden change in odds. Blinking, he grinned at the new battle arrangements – Two vs. one apparently. What fun!

"So, now it's two vs. one eh? Now that's not very fair love," he acted all hurt towards Kimberly, grabbing his chest in fake agony. "And here I thought you were supposed to play by those fancy rules all you silly heroes make up all the time?" The man's specs smirked under his breath, "And here I thought you heroes played fair? Guess I was wrong?"

"Rules are meant to be broken sometimes," Kim responded almost out of breath, still not believing that actually left her mouth, but she really wanted to go home and eat.

Both Ron and Austin blinked, "Interesting. Never would I have expected for my little ducky to have a dark side?" he teased. "What love? Do you steal too?"

The question made Kim remember what got her stuck in this mess in the first place.

Stealing Ron's diary.

"Sometimes."

Fed up with not getting any answer, Austin twirled his crane behind his back, moving from his spot.

Dashing without warning, the British guy aimed first for Kim, sending his cane straight for her left exposed side. Having no real strength left, Kim prepared to block the attack as best as she could, until Ronald however, stepped in front of her and grabbed the cane; intercepting the attack. Having grabbed the cane's force, a stinging burn traveled up his arms causing them to shake further already.

Seeing an opening, Kim side-stepped beside Ron, and aimed a high kicked for Austin's chin. And since being unable to block due to Ron's continuous hold on his signature weapon, the British gent took the kick full force. Displeased through the kick, he used his free arm to strike Ronald in his lower abdominal multiple times before Ron finally let go in pain.

Stepping back a few steps, the man flipped his cane in front of his body in a defensive posture as rubbed his chin with surprisingly little annoyance. It made him wonder. Where was the pain? Didn't that little wench just kick him there? Apparently she had no real kick to her step. And the small thought made his glasses gleam with glee. A closer look revealed that Kimberly was working through a lot of pain. If the shortness of breathes and the constant holding of her chest had any say in, Austin could conclude that the little girl, couldn't muster up any real physical force behind her strikes without sacrificing whatever little energy she had left.

Interesting.

Twisting his trusty cane in his hand, the gent dashed this time straight for Ronald, knowing he would protect the girl if he tried for her, but what about if it was the other way around? Could she back him up?

Within adequate striking range, he tried to swipe Ron's upper torso, but the teen ducked under it. Waiting, the man smirked. He got what he wanted. Kimberly was moving to attack him when his guard is down with what looks like a roundhouse kick to his chest. And the sidekick was getting ready to grab onto him.

Perfect.

Dancing on his feet, he leapt over Ron's body, avoiding both their actions and at the same time giving him an opening to either two. Playing a game of tactics here, he decided to aim first for Ronald. It was after all the more strategical move to make. Take out the energy source and the entire mass comes crumbling down.

Lub-dub!

Kim and Ron could only hear from behind as the British dude jumped over Ron and ran back to him, striking relentlessly in the back with his deadly cane. The hero girl watched as Ron took multiple painful hits from behind before finally turning and blocking his body by shielding himself in an cross guard. As she had been watching so too their captor, who's grinned haunted her insides.

Finally opened to strike, Austin stopped his assault against Ronald, and dove straight for Kimmie.

Not even having the strength to dodge, Kim only held her arms out to her sides preventing him from getting any side hits and most body damage. To bad for her, that wasn't what he was aiming for. The British man pointed his cane at her stomach and purposely missed his attack for the hero girl to lower her defenses. Wide eyed, Kim couldn't block his attack right for the center of her chest. In a direct hit, he had delivered a deadly blow right for her chest with the tip of cane, sending her to fall back onto the floor on her back. Kim hit the floor hard and she couldn't for the life of her move her arms or her body for that fact. All she could think and feel was the growing numbing pain in her body.

Lub-dub! Lub-dub! Lub-dub! Lub-dub! Lub-dub!

Kim winced, her chest hurt so much. The hero girl fought to keep her eyes open, but everything fought against her. She was so hungry, so weak, and... so tired. All the girl wanted to do was close her eyes and drift off. Where no one could hurt her.

Lub - - dub! Lub - - dub! Lub - - dub! Lub - - dub! Lub - - dub!

Where the tight pressure feeling in her lungs could go away.

Lub - - - dub! Lub - - - dub! Lub - - - dub! Lub - - - dub! Lub - - - dub!

Where there was no bad guys.

Lub - - - dub! Lub-! Lub - - - dub!

Where there was no fighting.

Lub-! Lub-! L-L-Lub-dub! Lub - - - - dub! Lub - - - - - - dub!

And where only her and Ron would be at. That's... where she wanted to go.

Lub - - - - - - - - dub! Lub...
