A/N:Woot! New chapter! It's been a while huh? Sorry for the wait but I was uninspired. Still not entirely inspired but I don't need inspiration to write good fanfics! I just need your support 'cuz guess what? This story has over 100 follows and 100 favs! You guys are awesome! Now all I have to do is reach 100 reveiws. And as incentive whoever is the 100th reveiwer will get a oneshot written by me about whatever they want(except rated M things or yaoi/yuri(not that I'm against yaoi or yuri I just don't write those. First Day Part 2

School was boring! Why would he think it would be any different? Naruto sat with his cheek against his desk as Iruka-sensei droned on about the great ninja wars or something like that. Hinata-hime sat beside him, scribbling notes on her paper with a look of concentration on her face. The Yondaime's son found it much more interesting to watch his friend than to pay attention to the lesson on the board.

Her facial expressions changed subtly as she worked he noticed. When she was deep in thought her brow creased ever so slightly. When she wasn't paying attention her eyes glazed over as if she were dreaming while awake but she usually quickly snapped out of it before going back to her notes. When she was confused by something he noticed that she'd write the question in the margins of her notebook so that she could ask Iruka later. Naruto grinned to himself, his hime sure was weird.

"Naruto!" The boy in question jolted up in his seat at the sound of his name, looking over to his teacher who had his arms crossed over his chest and a stern look on his face.

Naruto grinned in response, "Yes Iruka-sensei?"

"I'm sure Hinata must be interesting but while I'm teaching I would prefer my students have their attention on me." At his proclaimation the class giggled and Hinata's face flushed a deep red as she turned her head to look at her best friend. Naruto just rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. Thankfully the bell rang and saved the young boy from further embarresment.

"Alright class, have fun at lunch and recess. Class dismissed." With that being said all the students scrambled out of their seats and ran out of the classroom except of few of the stragglers.

"Finally!" Naruto cheered, jumping out of his seat and grabbing his bento while taking Hinata's wrist with the other hand.

"Let's go hime!" Naruto demanded, dragging the girl out of the classroom and towards the playground/eating area at the back of the Academy. Hinata followed behind her friend(not that she had a choice), struggling to keep up and tripping over her own feet.

When they finally reached the eating area Hinata was thankful, taking a moment to catch her breath as Naruto scanned the playground for a nice place to eat. He narrowed his eyes when he saw the youngest Uchiha sitting by himself while the other students gave him shifty looks. He smiled to himself, looks like he found a place to sit.

"Come on Hinata." Naruto urged the Hyuuga, tugging her along towards the Uchiha. Hinata didn't protest, knowing that Naruto wouldn't lead her into a problematic situation.

Soon the two were standing over the youngest Uchiha, who looked up from his tomato(huh, so he wasn't lying about that) to stare at them. He narrowed his coal black eyes at the two before speaking.

"What do you want?" Naruto just smiled back, which seemed to throw the other boy off kilter.

"Anyone sitting there?" He asked, pointing to the spot next to the Uchiha. For a moment the black haired boy looked skeptical but shook his head anyway. Naruto grinned, plopping down next to Sasuke and patting the spot next to him for Hinata who quickly took her seat. He opened his bento and passed his vegatables to Hinata who smiled in appreciation(she liked them for some reason) and handed over her noodles in response(not that she didn't like them, Naruto just like them more) who inhaled them quickly. He smiled to himself as the three ate in silence(well, except for some weirdo being arrested in the background that collected quite the crowd). Maybe this school thing isn't such a bad thing after all.

After making it through another two hours of torture-I mean class-school was over for the day. After waving to Hinata who was picked up one of the members of the branch family, Naruto looked for his father but instead caught sight of an ANBU with a dog mask. He grinned and ran up to the shinobi.

"Ka-" The ANBU clamped a hand over of the blond boy's mouth.

"Naruto, what did I tell you? You can't call me by my name when I'm wearing these clothes remember?" Dog asked with a stern voice.

"Oh yeah." The boy giggled as the ANBU ruffled his hair and grabbed his hand. He looked up at the man hopefully as they began to walk towards home.

"Is O-"he cut himself off when he saw the way the dog-masked ANBU was looking at him(he could sense the disapproving look behind the mask).

"I mean is Crow with you?" The boy corrected himself. The ANBU chuckled to himself.

"No, he's on a different mission. Your Dad says he's sorry he couldn't pick you up. Something-" the ANBU laughed uner his breath,"came up."

Naruto's eyes widened in wonder, "Whoa, like cool Hokage stuff?"

"You could say that."

Likely story, he probably got himself into trouble.

"Who said that?" Naruto asked with a creased brow, whipping his head around to try to find the source of the voice.

"Who said what?" Dog asked the boy.

It was me.

"Where are you?" Naruto asked aloud again.

"I'm right next you Naruto." The ANBU answered, becoming worried for the young boy.

Close your eyes and you'll see.

Naruto did as he was told, gasping slightly at the sight that greeted him.

A woman with the deepest red hair and violet eyes he'd ever seen stared back at him, with a grin that matched his own playing on her lips. She waved at the boy.
