Chapter 10
Kurt impatiently tapped his foot on the ground as he waited for Blaine. He sighed, took a sip of his vanilla milkshake, noting the time. "Hrrmmph, I'm really early..." He mumbled. He was actually really nervous. He hasn't really met his daughter before, except for that time Blaine took him to his brother's house. He just hoped and prayed everything would turn out ok...
"It's ok, Kurt. I don't mind. Hello."
Kurt snapped his head up to see Blaine smiling down at him, holding Addy's hand. Kurt swallowed as he took in Blaine's appearance. Blaine wore mustard colored pants, a white button up shirt, and a blue and red bowtie around his neck. A pair of brown loafers were on his feet. He had his dark thick curls tamed loosely, and Kurt found himself immediately distracted at such a beautiful sight.
He smiled as he and the little girl sat down. "Hi, Kurt."
"H-Hello, Blaine."
"Kurt, this is my daughter, Abby. Abby, this is my friend, Kurt Hummel." Blaine introduced them.
"Hi, Addy." Kurt smiled.
"He's so pretty! I like your hair!"
Kurt choked on his drink, avoiding Blaine's eyes, and turned beet red. Oh gosh...
Blaine giggled.
She immediately turned to her father. "Daddy! Can I have a banana split?!" Addy asked, tugging on his shirt.
"Sure, sweetheart. No nuts, right?" He asked with a smile.
She made a face, and Blaine chuckled. "Ok. Got it. Kurt, do you want anything else?" He offered.
"No, I'm good, thank you, though." Kurt replied with a smile, gesturing to his cold drink.
"Ok, I'll be right back."
Kurt watched him walk away, and Addy scooted her chair closer. "So, Mr. Kurt, what's your favorite movie?"
"Hmmm...well I absolutely love Disney movies...I love Cinderella...Beauty and the Beast...Sleeping beauty..." Kurt trailed off.
"I love Ariel! Daddy lets me watch it when I am good! Wait...sleeping beauty? Why?" She said excitedly, bouncing in her seat.
Kurt dramatically placed his hand on his chest, as if he were offended. "Sleeping beauty is the best! Who wouldn't want to sleep for a long time, only to be woken up with a kiss by a handsome prince?"
Addy giggled.
Kurt kept on, "And who wouldn't want one night to themselves, dancing with a gorgeous prince, wearing a beautiful dress...not to mention the glass slippers!" Kurt said, placing his chin on his palm, getting into the conversation.
"I want a dress like Cinderella's! I love the mice!" She squealed.
Kurt hummed in agreement. "I also like Broadway...fashion...I love music...Hey! We should totally go see Cinderella on Broadway!"
Addy's eyes widened upon hearing this. "Really Mr. Kurt? You would take me?"
"Yeah! I mean, why not? It'd be amazing!" Kurt bounced in his seat, and clapped his hands excitedly.
"Please? Please, can we Mr. Kurt?!" Addy begged.
"Maybe...I'd have to ask your dad." Kurt said.
A moment later, Blaine came back, two desserts in his hands. "Ok, Addy. Here's your banana split..." Blaine handed her the huge dessert, and she licked her lips. He sat down with his own ice cream bowl of double scoop mint chocolate chip.
"Daddy? Can we keep him?!" Addy blurted out, stuffing a piece of banana in her mouth.
Again, Kurt choked on his cold delicious drink, wiped his mouth with the nearby napkin, and kept his cyan eyes down as he stirred the milkshake with his straw. Jesus...I like her already...
"W-What? Uhm, Addy, why d-do you ask that?" Blaine cleared his throat, his gaze intent on a flushed Kurt Hummel.
"He likes Cinderella! He likes Ariel, and Cinderella's dress...and the glass slippers, and Beauty and the Beast!" She squeaked happily.
Blaine laughed, cocking his head to the side. "Really?"
"...D-Don't forget sleeping beauty..." Kurt stuttered nervously, his eyes slowly looking up to see Blaine's hazel ones staring back.
"Yes! Sleeping beauty, too, Daddy! Can we go see Cinderella on Broadway?" She asked, licking her spoon clean of fudge.
"Uh, I don't see why not, I'd just have to schedule it around work, and figure out when it comes out..." He thought out loud, taking his phone out.
"R-Really? You...you'd do that?" Kurt asked, hesitantly. Please, oh god, please say yes...again...
Blaine looked up, right into Kurt's curelean eyes, and for a moment, he swore he saw a familiar glint in his eyes. Hope? "Of course, Kurt! It's sounds fabulous!" He proceeded to type something out on his phone, and ate another scoop of the minty goodness.
Kurt gulped, and watched the two of them interact. Blaine's amber eyes would light up when Abby asked something, and then he'd scrunch his face in confusion, acting like he has no idea what she was talking about. Kurt smiled at Abby's intellectual mind, not to mention wit. His mind drifted to his own future. He could totally see himself as a father...coming home to his loving husband, possibly a child of their own, with a cat or a dog, he wasn't sure yet. White pickett fences, and all. What the...?! It's waaaaaay too early to be thinking about that right now! You've got your whole life ahead of you! But, regardless, his mind would wander back to those thoughts.
Those are moments to cherish.
He wanted those moments.
Kurt cleared his throat, and looked back down to his milkshake, almost finished.
"Kurt?"
Kurt looked up to hear Blaine's soothing voice. "Yes?"
"You ready to go?" He asked, wiping his face with a decorative napkin. I'm not ready to LEAVE you yet...I'm having too much fun with you...
Kurt forced a smile, that didn't quite meet his eyes, and answered, "Sure. If you are." I don't want this to end... Oh gosh no...I feel like I never have enough time with you...
Blaine smiled, and stood, grabbing Addy's olive-skinned hand.
"I like him, Daddy." Abby said honestly.
"Me too, Addy. Me too..." Blaine said sweetly, and turned to give Kurt a wink.
Kurt's eyes widened, and his eyes narrowed to the floor, his neck and cheeks turning a red hue. I like you, too. Both of you...
Kurt found himself smiling, truly, honestly and genuinely smiling for the umpteenth time that day.
Things were looking up.

"Life is fucking amazing...life is GRAND...life is spectacular!" Kurt yelled dramatically, as he entered the apartment, then flopped down on the loveseat with a lovestruck expression. He flailed his arms. "Nothing could piss me off right now...life is..." A sigh, "Perfect."
"Porcelain, you are all up in my ways, I'm trying to watch my show...me no gusta!" Santana drawled out, with an eye roll. She wrapped her arm around Brittany's shoulder.
Kurt didn't budge.
"Hummel..." Santana warned.
"Mmmhmmm?" He hummed, only thinking of thick dark and touseled curls...those sexy glasses Blaine wears during his history class...Kurt licked his lips.
"Moves the hells out of my way so I can watch my show with my girl." She said more calmly this time, although you could still hear her warning tone.
"Kurtie?" Brittany spoke up softly.
"Yeah, Britt?" He said, snapping out of his reverie, and sitting up to look at his blonde room mate.
"We can't see the t.v." She stated with a frown.
Kurt smiled gently, and moved. "Gotcha."
Santana's eyes widened, and she scoffed. "What the...How...Brit-"
"I have magical powers, babe." Brittany explained, as if that was a valid explation as to WHY Kurt listened to her, and not the latina.
"Poreclain, don't...you have, like, some sort of history exam coming up?" Sanatana waved him off with her hand, her eyes focused on the t.v.
"SHIT! And I haven't even studied!" Kurt screeched, arms flailing as he ran to his room.
"He listened that time..." Santana laughed deviously.
