17th December
1 o'clock in the morning

Bella was sitting at the sofa covered with a blanket . She was watching a documentary about fishes in lakes . She has always been interested in creatures living in the water. She was kind of a fish herself. Maybe that's why she liked them so much.

Lately, however, she was afraid to swim in the lake . Even , before it started snowing. She just had this strange feeling . She just didn't want to swim . And now, that is snowing she had no intent to do so . And that's what made her even more sad. Even if that was the greatest desire of hers, she knew that she couldn't. But she didn't knew if she could resist...

The apartment's door opened and Will came in .

"Hey love ..." he greeted her with a bit of anxiety in his voice. He looked around to find the others .

"They are not here. It's Rikki's first day at work and Emma and Cleo just left. They went to see Rikki." explained Bella that noticed his searching look.

"Oh ok. "

She looked at the clock and quickly said "You're late ."

"I'm not late. It was a 2 hours' drive. I told you that I would come as fast as I could. And why aren't you with the girls ? Maybe you would that way forget about the snow thing. "

"Well, I prefered to sit here to wait for you. And I don't think that I would feel any better."

"So what happened ? I mean, you already told me about the snow, but ..."

"I am sorry but how did you open the door?" she asked curious changing the subject immediately .

"What do you mean how I opened the door?"

"You don't have keys . That's what I mean ."

"I have ."

"No, you don't."

"Bella ?"

"Yes?"

"I have ."

"No you don't . Don't you remember that I was giving you MY keys because you didn't have your own ?"

"Yes, I do."

"So... that means that you don't have keys ."

"Then. But now I have . We made a new key ."

"We?"

"Yes we."

"When did WE made a new key for you? If we had, I would remember it."

"Oh my god. You are really not ok. You shouldn't touch the snow Bella ! Now you can't remember ."

Bella just stared at the floor for a few minutes without talking. She did felt guilty . But ,that night , when she saw Rikki storming out of the apartment , she didn't think at all about the snow . She just wanted to support her friend , that's all.

"So? Will you tell me what happened ?"

"I really don't know what happened Will ..." she said and started crying .

He pulled her to him and hugged her tightly. "What did the girls say?"

"About what ?"

"About you loosing your memory."

"Oh.." she said and sat on the sofa . "Only Emma found out about it, but I don't think she told anyone."

"Cleo?" asked Emma .

"Yes?"

"I think that you are right ."

"Oh... About what?"

"Eh... About believing that Rikki and Bella didn't want to scare us."

"You see. I told you so. And how did you come into that conclusion?"

"Earlier when you went for a shower, me and Bella had this little talk about Will."

"So?"

"And she has lost her memory."

"Oh my god . Really? She can't remember who she is?" Cleo asked concerned and turned around to return home . "We shouldn't leave her alone. But she seemed fine when we left her. Why didn't you tell my about this earlier ?!"

Emma grab her hand and told her. "I didn't finish what I was saying. She didn't lost her memory completely. She just couldn't remember when Will left and all these staff concerning Will."

"So it's not serious ?"

"No... no."

"Thanks god. You scared me Emma ."

"You scared me too. You can't just turn around like that in the middle of the pavement. You're going to kill somebody."

"Hmm. You're right . Next time I will be more carefull." Cleo said and smiled .

They turned at the corner and opened the door of the cafeteria .

Sometime around 10:30 am. ( at the cafeteria. )

"Oh... you decided to come? How kind of you ." Adam told Rikki, as soon as he saw her enter the cafeteria .

"I am really sorry about that Adam, I didn't intend to be late . "

"Ok..." he said firmly and looked the other way.

"Seriously... Yesterday I remembered that today was my first day. But it completely slipped out of ..."

"Your mind ..." Adam finished her sentence . "I don't think that that's the only thing that slipped out of your mind ..."

"What are you talking about ?"

"What I am saying is that you obviously forgot to tell me where were you yesterday in the morning ?"

"And why should I have told you where was I yesterday in the morning ?"

"Could you just answer the question?"

"I was home, with the girls ... Ok ?"

"Oh... Really? Are you sure ?"

"Yes I am sure !"

"Hmm that's strange ."

"And why is that strange ?"

"Because Cleo called me yesterday in the afternoon ."

"And ?"

"And she asked if you seemed fine in the morning . And I told her that I haven't seen you at all. And then, she told me that you claimed to be with me THAT morning ... " he stopped and looked at her for some time , before he continued. "Now, I have 2 questions for you."

"Which are ?"

"1. Where have you been ? and 2. Why did you tell Cleo that you were with me , when you weren't ?"

"You see Adam ... that's none of your business ." she responded bitterly .

"In a matter of fact it is ."

"Oh really ? And why is it?"

"Because I care about you..." he yelled ,but quickly added. "...all. "

The customers stopped chatting the minute Adam yelled . They had never seen Adam yell before.
Rikki confused, sat silent for a moment . She was wondering about that last mistake he made.
When both Adam and Rikki seemed to have calmed down, the costumers started talking again .
And then Rikki decided to speak . "We're fine ... thank you."

"Cleo did not seem fine on the phone yesterday. I could tell that she was NOT fine . She was angry, and ... and anxious and the most important is that she hid something . Something about that morning ."

"I can't do anything about that Adam ! I can't reveal you what Cleo was hiding . Only she can do that ."

"You can too ."

"I can't ! And even if I could , I wouldn't tell you because I don't want to ." she looked around and changed the subject . "So? What should I do first ? The costumers are waiting ."

"Oh, the can wait. Now, talk !"

"Adam I don't know why you make such a big deal of it ?"

"I make nothing . It is , itself , a big deal !"

"No, it's not , ok? I just wasn't with you or with the girls . That's all."

"THEN WHERE WERE YOU , GOD DAMN IT ? ! screamed Adam .

At that exact point, Cleo and Emma entered . They immediately stopped ,as they noticed that every single one at the cafeteria was speechless looking at Rikki and Adam. Cleo and Emma looked at them and saw Adam, like they've never seen him before , furious.

I would really like a review ...! So, do you think Rikki will tell him about the snow thing ? Or they will never speak again ...
