It was 6 in the evening when Johnny and his assistants; whom he hired, were getting the party ready for the next 2 hours to come. They were finished with decorating, providing food and drinks, and entertainment within an hour and 45 minutes. Johnny made sure his party was going to be the talk for the next few days or so.

Since the party was ready early and nobody has come yet, he helped himself to playing his video game on his PS4. Within the next few minutes, he heard his doorbell. He pause his game and got up from his couch to see who was at the door. He opened the door to see his buddies Jax and Sonya with Skarlet. He greeted them and ushered them to come in.

The interior of the house was lovely. The house party decorations were very different from most parties. It didn't have anything that resembled a regular party, but instead, looked like a mini nightclub. The living room had a mini bar in the back, completed with 2 Dance Dance Revolution machines on each side and a multi-colored dance floor. He also had a Wii beside his PS4. Johnny Cage maybe a class clown, but when it came to parties, he knew how to throw it down.

"Woah! Very nice place." Skarlet cooed.

"Thanks Red." He said, smiling.

Everyone took their seats on the couch that Johnny was previously sitting on.

Sonya noticed the mini-bar and shook her head. "Is having a bar necessary?" She raised her eye brow at the brunette in sunglasses. She then noticed Johnny's leisure suit. He had on a light blue dress pants with a pink dress-shirt, which was covered by the matching color as his dress pants. Not to mention his black tie was undone. Sonya didn't want to admit it, but he sure looked handsome in his outfit, although she thought it wasn't necessary for a party like this.

"Well…no, but-"

"You do know that underage drinking is illegal right?" Jax piped in.

"Really? I didn't know that! I thought it was legal here…" Johnny sighed and then looked at his mini bar. "Damn, now what do I do with the bar?" He fretted. Skarlet then went over to the spot where people could get drunk and observed the bar. The three just looked at Skarlet, waiting to see what she would do before they thought to intervene. Skarlet nodded and came back to the couch where everyone was sitting.

"I have an idea," Skarlet smiled. The three people looked over to Skarlet and nodded as she got their full attention. "Why not make the mini bar like a drinking bar?" The three of her friends just stared at her, not knowing what she meant by that. She caught onto their confused faces. "You know, like, instead of having alcohol over there, why not beverages like sprite, fruit punch, and any other drinks?" Skarlet looked at their faces once more to see their expressions ease with understanding.

"That sounds like a great idea, but we better hurry, we only have 10 minutes until the party officially starts." Johnny said and the rest agreed to getting the deed done before then. It was 10 minutes after 8 and already more than 3 people arrived. Bi-Han, Hanzo, Smoke, and Kuai were the first four to arrive at his party. And quickly, other people flowed through his door, filling his house with people quickly. Everyone greeted one another and Johnny nodded as he decided to put on some dance music. Everyone was dancing, kidding around, and having a good time…well, almost everyone.

There was a girl in black and red outfit with black combat boots. She had black hair and white bangs. She was standing upside the wall, observing the party. Observing how well everyone was having fun. Wishing it was that easy to lose herself at parties and everywhere else. Kuai noticed the gothic looking girl against the wall in a depressing-like stance. He excused himself from his peers whom he was in conversations with and went over to her and stood against the wall beside her.

"Hey" He glanced at her from the corner of his eye.

"Hey, yourself" She responded.

"Um…I'm Kuai." Not knowing how to respond to her greeting.

"Nice, name's Sareena." She smiled a bit.

"Beautiful name, so…." He started off, not wanting to bore her. "What brings you to this party?"

Sareena shrugged at his question. "My friends, they wanted me to come, I don't know why. I hardly know anyone here."

"Hmm, you're not from around here, are you?" He asked.

"No, I'm from another part of town." She responded.

"Cool." Kuai grinned.

'She doesn't seem all depressed, maybe I read her wrong.' He thought to himself. Kuai and Sareena conversed for a few more minutes, getting to know one another in all due time. Sareena honestly had doubt in this party, but after talking with Kuai, it made her night a good night.

Kuai looked over to the dance floor and saw people more people on it than it was before. He then looked back at Sareena and asked "Did you want to dance?" "What?" Sareena yelled as the music was drowning out their voices.

"I said, did you want to dance?" He repeated again, only this time loud enough for her to hear.

"Sure!" She yelled back at him. He grabbed her hand and led her to the dance floor; they both started dancing to Rhianna's 'Please don't stop the music'.

'Heh, they thought I wouldn't attend to the party, eh? Big mistake mates.' Kano thought to himself as he just opened the front door, not caring if there was anyone or anything to stop him. He searched through the sea of people to see where the drinks were. He spotted the mini bar and smirked. He would try to make his way through people to get there, but first, he wanted to pay a little visit to some people. That was when he spotted Sonya with a group of people; he couldn't help but to smirk at the sight of her. He put his plan on halt and made his way over to her.

"Hey baby doll" He said as he came up behind her, almost scaring her. Sonya whipped her head around and scolded Kano. "What do you want?" she responded coldly. "Aww, come on babydoll, I just wanted ta' talk." He said grinning from ear to ear.

"Look, as much as I would like to talk with you, I'm kind of busy conversing with people who are worth talking to." She said coldly staring him down. Kano got the hint, although he didn't like the way Sonya was disrespecting him right on the spot in front of Jax, Johnny, and Skarlet. What made it worse was that Jax and Johnny was smirking in Kano's face while she practically humiliated him.

Kano turned his attention towards the black male and the wannabe superstar. "Do ya have anythin' to say, mates?" He starred them down hard. Both Jax and Johnny weren't frightened by the thug's stare. They almost found it comical. Skarlet on the other hand became nervous by what was about to become a fight if nothing was done.

"Hey, watch this." Johnny nudged Jax; Jax then got his full attention

"Nah, we cool. Just wanted to let you know there are bandages in the closet. Y'know, just in case you need one." Johnny responded

Kano looked puzzled at his response "where're ya getting' at, Cage?" Kano said.

"I'm saying you need bandages to cover that bruise Sonya did to your ego." He busted into laughter at his own joke, until he noticed no one was really laughing along with him. Kano glared at him more furious than ever and just walked away, not willing to entertain him more than he already did unintentionally.

Jax just shook his head. "John, that joke was lame as fuck."

"It was not lame! You guys just don't have any sense of humor." He retorted.

"Whatever man"

"Let us dance!" said Mileena as she got on the DDR machine. Hanzo smiled and shook his head as he got on the DDR machine with her "You will regret your impulsiveness."

Mileena simply looked at him "Whatever you say." And with that, they started dancing.

20 minutes later and everyone stopped what they were doing to look at Hanzo and Mileena still battling out on DDR. Most people were surprised that anyone could still dance on the machine for 20 minutes straight without taking a break. Despite they stopped only to change the songs.

While people were around the couple, Kano took his opportunity to put alcohol in the beverages at the mini bar. He stirred the pitchers where the drinks were stored and smirked. But he then saw Kung Lao and a olive-skinned girl in a yellow skimpy outfit coming towards the place where he had contaminated the drinks. He first thought it would be nice to stay, but realized it could blow his cover. He then made up his mind as the couple came closer and just like that; he disappeared into the crowd without a trace.

"Would you like a drink?" Kung Lao asked. "Sure" The girl replied. Kung Lao proceeded to poured him and the vixen a cup of alcoholic punch. "This tastes funny…Does yours taste odd Tanya?" He asked. Tanya took a sip of her drink. "It does, I wonder why it taste so weird." She replied.

Kung Lao looked at his cup puzzled and shrugged it off. Could be that we never tasted it before." He said after he gave it a thought. "That could be true. Oh well, let's drink up!" Her and Kung Lao clink their drinks and finished sipping on their beverage. After they were through conversing and sipping on more of the tainted punch, they got up to see the crowd gathering around the dance machine.

Both Tanya and Kung Lao saw Mileena and Scorpion still competing on the DDR machine. He was surprised at Mileena's skills on dancing, but he was more surprised that she attended this party. He thought about sticking around to see who would win, but he remembered that wasn't an option as he lied to Jade about going to work last night and he definitely didn't need Mileena to see him with another chick – or see him at all for that matter.

Tanya seemed to be intrigued the competition that was happening so he let her be for the time being. He eased out of the crowd and went to the game station that everyone was around. There, he spotted Johnny. He grinned and wasted no time to take the opportunity to outshine his self once again.

"Hey, what game you guys are playing?" He asked as he approached the male group. "Oh, we're playing 'Super Crash Bros. Brawl' Ermac replied. There was 4 people playing, Ermac and Nightwolf. And then, there were Johnny and Jax. Kung Lao nodded as he could tell by the way they were playing, they were going against each other. After 10 minutes of them playing, Johnny emerged victorious.

Johnny shot up from his seat on the couch and began taunting and showing out like he always does.

"That's it, ha ha, oh yeah, I am so pretty!" He said as he flexed his muscles. He then saw a few more people watching. He went up to them. "And I'm takin' you down. I'm takin' you down. I'm takin' you out." He stopped in front of Kung Lao. "And I'm takin' YOU down." Johnny smirked.

"Is that a challenge, Cage?" Kung Lao grinned.

"What do you think?" Johnny eyed him.

Kung Lao looked to see where Tanya was, he spotted her chatting with some ladies, so he figured he had a little more time to kill while she was conversing. "Challenge accepted."

Mileena and scorpion were starting to get tired after nearly 45 minutes on the DDR machine. They both decided to call it a truce after dancing for what seemed like an eternity. Mileena and Hanzo plopped on the couch, not caring about the atmosphere for the moment.

"You dance pretty well for someone who doesn't like exercise." Hanzo said with a chuckle. Mileena couldn't help but to giggle a little at his compliment. "Thank you. You're not so bad yourself." She said with a smile. She and Hanzo just sat in silence while the music was blaring in the background. Mileena looked at the atmosphere and her smile she once had on her face, faded as she spotted someone who shouldn't be here.

She rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn't seeing who she thought she was. But alas, it was no illusion to her big, brown eyes. She saw Kung Lao at the party she was in. Mileena started to brush it off and just sat there until the realization sunk in. Mileena suddenly remembered that Jade said he had to work late tonight. She had frowned at that thought and seeing him lying to one of her friends really pissed her off.

Hanzo noticed Mileena's expression was different than the last time he looked at her face. "Is everything alright?" He asked her. Mileena snapped out of her deep thinking and looked at Hanzo, trying to hide her pissed off expression. "Everything's fine, I'm just…I have to take care of something." She responded. Hanzo didn't bother asking anymore questions and just nodded.

Mileena was closely watching Kung Lao and then saw Tanya coming back from somewhere in the crowd. If Mileena knew something, she knew he was up to no good if he had to lie to Jade over some party. But what he did next raised her blood pressure.

He leaned in and kissed Tanya on the lips, Tanya kissed back, and the next thing she knew, it was a full blown out make out session.

She couldn't believe he had such a nerve to even do that! If Mileena couldn't stand one thing, that would be cheaters. She shot up from her seat on the couch and marched over there to where the couple was. She thought about giving a piece of her mind until she had an idea.

She stopped in her tracks and got out her iphone and took multiple snapshots of the couple that were making out. She saved the pictures. Just incase he tried to bullshit out of this situation. She then smiled, and resumed walking towards them.

She tapped on his shoulder and he broke away from Tanya and turned to see who that was interrupting his session with the olive-skinned beauty. Before he could make any reaction, Mileena had already pulled him by his ear away from Tanya. She stood there confused as what was going on.

"What are you doing?!" She said as she let go of his aching ear. Rubbing his ear as he glared at Mileena, He responded "I should be asking you that! What was that for?!" he snapped.

"Don't snap at me! You're the one that was being deceitful!"

Kung Lao knew that she had caught him red handed. He started to lie, but saw there was no point in doing that.

"Yeah, and?" Was his response, which shocked Mileena. She couldn't believe that he was so careless about the girl he was dating.

"And?" She stared at him bleakly. "And?! Do you have any remorse about this when she finds out?!" Mileena shouted over the music. Kung Lao just shrugged. "I doubt it, look, how about we make a deal. You don't tell Jade about this or me at the party, and I'll help you be more popular than your sister."

Mileena couldn't help but stare at Kung Lao. She then thought how it would be nice to overrule her sister at popularity – or anything for that matter. Just the thought of her being queen Bee, getting all the boys, her parents not neglecting her came to mind. It was a tempting deal he had made with her. But Mileena scowled at herself for even thinking about it. But should she not say anything and let him keep hurting her friend in secret although it was wrong? Mileena kept thinking about it. And she knew that one of the outcomes for her choice could end up very deadly and destroy her friendship.

"I think I'm going to -"

To be continued…

Author's note: What will Mileena do? Will she throw her friends under the bus for her own gain? Or will she do the right thing and not let any personal greed come in between? We will know in the next chapter.
