Mathias and Berwald ride the plane in silence. Mathias has a bad feeling about leaving them behind but when he glances at Berwald he isn't acting like he is worried at all so he just sighs and slides further down in his seat. It was going to be a boring ride. After a while Mathias pulls out his phone sending a text to his boss that he wants a face to face meeting as soon as he lands. His boss responds with an affirmative and the ride lapses back into silence for Mathias. Normally he would text Lukas but Lukas had lost his cellphone sometime during the escape. When they finally land Mathias jumps up stretching his legs and unboarding quickly. Berwald follows at a much slower pace shaking his head at Mathias's eagerness. Even into a stressful and dangerous situation. Mathias flags down a driver to take them to the conference center and in thirty minutes they are headed into the elevator. Both men brush their hands over their concealed handguns thankful they took a private jet so they weren't detected with the guns.
His boss is already there sitting at a table in the room organizing some paperwork. "Ah Danmark! How wonderful! How can I help you today?"
"So, have you had any dealings with Norge's boss lately?" Mathias asked, standing across from him.
He looks confused for a moment "Norway's boss? No not recently. He contacted me hmm about a year ago about how one would build a nuclear plant. Right when I was starting to look into it. I gave him my list of contacts and that was that. I never heard from him again. Is this about why he was killed last night?" He asks curiously.
"And that's it? You didn't build any behind my back?" Mathias asked, getting impatient. He had a terrible feeling building in the pit of his stomach.
He looks curiously at him "why would you think that? Why would I need to? The public will side with me. They already had it proposed and we are waiting for the finalization vote before we start building. I don't need to do it secretly" he states
"Because Norge's boss built one in secret and gave us radiation poisoning, that's why. And then he tried to kill us when we found out, so forgive me if I don't believe you." Mathias seethed irritably.
:"well I haven't. You're free to search whatever you need to. But I won't do it without public consent which I have gained so we will have the plants and they won't be secret."
"These plants aren't safe. The one in Norway almost killed the two of us. I won't let you build it, even if I have to personally sabotage the building site every damn day until you give up." Mathias said sternly
He smiles "you can't stop it. We will find a way you are just one person. And that was an unregulated plant. This will have rules they have to follow so it will be much safer."
Mathias snarled, slamming his fist on the conference table hard enough to crack it. "I'm more than just one man! I'm a nation, in case you forgot! If I say that plant isn't getting built, it isn't getting built!" He snapped.
''yes you may be a nation but the people have voted against you so you have no choice but to let it happen." he replies calmly.
Mathias smirked. "Clearly you underestimate me. You want to know what happened to the last man who underestimated me? I put a bullet in his skull. And I've just about had it with you, and I'm about ready to do the same thing." He seethed, drawing his pistol, though he didn't aim it at him just yet.
"Ah but you see I have done nothing wrong. And even if you do kill me the next leader will go ahead with my already placed plans. As I'm sure you have already been told you have no power anymore."
"I have more power than you think. And if it comes to that, I'll kill every leader who comes to office who tries to build the plant. I am NOT letting that thing get built if it's the last thing I do!"
He starts to laugh "oh really? You will kill your own people? Then your country will really turn against you. And I'm sure we could kill you and your precious Norge if we take your heads off."
"You'll kill every Dane in this country if you build that plant! Are you so corrupt by your greed for money that you're willing to sacrifice a country full of people just to fill your pockets?! You're no better than Hitler!" Mathias snapped.
A crooked smile is on his face "no as I said we will be perfectly safe." he insists
"But you won't be! Don't you ever listen to me?! As a nation, I KNOW when something bad is going to happen, and something terribly wrong is going to happen if you build that plant! And if I have to kill a few of my leaders to protect the rest of my country, then so be it!" Mathias snapped, aiming the gun at the man's head.
Sve steps forward cautiously reaching out an arm to restrain matthais if needed "please listen when I say there is nothing I can do about it now." his boss says starting to look scared and be gazes upon his countries angry face
"You can call off the construction!" Mathias said, tossing his cellphone at the man. "You've got thirty seconds, or I blow your brains out." He warned.
His eyes widen at the gun pointed at him threateningly and he picks up the phone hastily pressing in the numbers and conversing with a man before putting the phone away.
"And? Is it stopped? I don't appreciate being lied to." Mathias asked
"Yes I told him to stop construction but now I need to come up with a reason why. They won't go with I told you so for long." He says scathingly.
"Make up something. Tell them something was wrong with a calculation or something, I don't care. Just don't let that thing get built. If they start building it, I'll come for your head. Do I make myself clear?"
"Fine fine! I get it! Now leave me be!" He says picking up his papers and leaving from the room. Mathias warned.
Mathias sighed heavily, putting his gun away and called up Lukas. Lukas doesn't answer his pone. Mathias starts to freak out until Berwald tells him that he is probably asleep and not to worry about it. They stay in Denmark a few extra hours and then get on the plane. That's when Lukas calls back.
Mathias picked up quickly. "Why didn't you answer your phone? You scared the hell out of me." Mathias said.
"I'm sorry I was sleeping the pain meds are a little sleep inducing."
"How're you feeling? Taking it easy?" Mathias asked.
Luka glances down at his swollen throbbing ankle "yeah I am haven't even gone up the stairs. Peter and I slept in the living room last night." He responds "how did your talk go?"
"He swears there are no plants here, and I...convinced him to permanently shut down the project for the new one. Can I talk to the doctor? I wanted to ask him something."
"He is sleeping right now. Been busy with the blood transfusion."
Mathias nodded. "Alright. Just keep safe. If anyone comes to the house you don't know, give me a call. Sve and I are on our way back to start searching his place, so we'll be home soon."
"I'm glad. I can't wait to see you again. Jeg elsker dig." Lukas hangs up
Mathias puts his phone away sighing as he relaxed. Know that he knew Lukas was ok he could relax.
Emil's plane lands and he gets off silently. He brought his private plane and had used Berwald's airstrip behind the house. He can see the marks in the grass where someone missed the airstrip and he shakes his head assuming it was Mathias's plane. He makes his way into the house not knocking because he is expected. Tino smiles at him from where he is reading to peter tutoring him on the different languages of the world. Peter already spoke English and the Nordic languages perfectly but there are more languages than that in the world.
"They are in the rest room." Tino tells him before turning back to the struggling child. Emil smiles at the sight before he heads to the other room where Lukas is laid out on the couch foot propped up. Emil frowns.
"You look horrible broor." Emil says in greeting. Lukas just nods groaning when he shifts too much. The doctor looks up at Emil.
"You must be his brother. Thank you for coming on such short notice. If you will sit here I will draw some blood."
Emil nods and takes the seat and the doctor gets to work. When the doctor finishes he goes to dispose of the contaminated blood and Tino is cooking dinner Lukas smiles at Emil. Lukas eventually starts to chat to Emil about useless things and then tells him that it is vitally important that he goes to Iceland immediately. Emil frowns but nods accepting his brother's words and helps him off of the couch. Peter watches them silently. After a moment peter opens his mouth to tell Emil that he shouldn't and Lukas's eyes flash and peter chokes on his words. Peter finds he can't say Lukas's or Emil's name. Or anything pertaining to them. The spell on peter spreads over the house enveloping the unsuspecting doctor and Tino. It's a very simple spell. They cannot speak of Lukas at all or Emil. They cannot speak of him over the phone write about him or text about him. No communication what so ever. The spell is designed to lift the moment Mathias enters the house. Lukas hopes they will finish and return home before Mathias but knows it is probably unlikely that that will happen but he can only hope Mathias isn't too angry.
Emil helps Lukas into the plane frowning but saying nothing as he watches his broor struggle. Once they are in the air Lukas finally relaxes. That is when he finally tells Emil the truth. Emil's eyes widen but Lukas promises he will be fine and that it's his job to take care of Emil and he will stop Emil if Emil tries to call Mathias. After a bit of arguing Emil agrees not to do anything and Lukas relaxes.
After a while Emil's private plane touches down and they get off. Lukas has cut the cast away and gotten rid of the crutches as well. Emil hadn't approved of that decision but knows better than to voice his opposition against Lukas. The first thing they do is purchase a new cell phone for Lukas and Lukas texts Mathias giving him the new number telling him that Tino had gone out and purchased the phone for him.
Next they head up to Emil's main government building where his boss has his office. Emil isn't very fond of his boss constantly calling him an idiot and the sentiment is proven as they easily break into his computer. Emil keeps watch as Lukas hacks the system searching for the information that he needs. He sighs in relief when he finds the blueprint and location of the nuclear plant. He saves the information and keeps searching. He relaxes when he discovers that there is only one. That shouldn't take too long. Lukas stands gathering Emil and they leave quickly.
Once they are driving away they plug in the coordinates in and are horrified to find that the plant is located near the volcano that could go off any minute now. Lukas remembers Matthias's prediction with a weary mind. They are both silent as they drive to the coordinates of the plant.
Emil is driving as he knows the roads of Iceland better than his broor and they quickly approach the area. They can see the volcano spewing ash with bits of lava dribbling down the mountain side from many miles away. They can't get to close by main roads and Emil mutters an apology as he pulls off road. He knows that must hurt his brother's ankle. And it does indeed. Lukas has to fight to not hiss in pain and he casts another basic charm to dull the pain.
They drive as close to the coordinates as they can until they are forced to get out and search on foot. The ground beneath them rumbles and Emil keeps coughing and sneezing. It is Emil's land so he knows when the volcano will erupt. And they don't have much time left. They finally find it and climb down. There are no guards as everyone had fled or been evacuated when the volcano warning had gone off. Emil wonders why anyone would be stupid enough to build a nuclear plant here by an active volcano.
They feel the ground rumble again and Emil sneezes violently as they work to dissemble the plant. Emil looks at Lukas face pale, "we aren't going to make it in time."
Lukas frowns and starts to think over his two options. He could, teleport the plant to someplace else and keep working to disassemble the plant. Or he could create a force field barrier to prevent any lave from getting into the plant and causing a nuclear explosion. Both had cons. First of all he had nowhere to transfer the plant to. And not enough time to think of a place to transfer the reactor to. Seriously where would be a good place to transfer a nuclear power plant? He couldn't just transfer the reactor because if he did just that the reactor wouldn't be hooked to the cooling system and then it would have a meltdown. Now for the other one, it could possibly fail if the force of the blast is strong enough possibly killing Emil as the lava would hit the reactor and explode and take out a good portion of Iceland. Plus the heat would build up and make them unbearably hot.
Lukas sighs. The only real option was to hope the barrier stood and that they could disassemble the plant while keeping the core stabilized. Really the goal was to just make it where the reactor can't be used again. It's around this time that the new cellphone Lukas had purchased starts to go off. He frowns but ignores it as he erects the barrier. He is sure it is Matthias making sure that he is at Berwald's resting. He shakes his head telling himself to focus. He didn't have time to think about the Dane. It's just a minute after the barrier is fully erected that the volcano goes off. Lukas waits anxiously to see if the barrier will fail so he can teleport him and Emil out if needed. When nothing happens he relaxes.
They work for a while as they try to figure out the best way to figure out how to stabilize and neutralize the plant. They finally discover a way and finish up both of them relaxing. They then take the barrier down and go outside to find that Lukas's barrier has caused a perfect circle of untouched land surrounded by hardening lava. Lukas chuckles uneasily. That's going to make the news. Lukas takes Emil's hand and they decide to teleport back to the house. Both of them are weary and Lukas hurts. Lukas teleports them and then does a basic radiation scan. Both of them have taken in way more than desirable. Lukas sighs as he does not know any spells to diffuse radiation and he and Emil lay down to take a nap. Lukas exhausted from the pain of his ankle and Emil from the stress the volcanic eruption has put on his land. A little while later Lukas wakes and remembers that he needs to call Matthias back. With a weary sigh he picks up his phone to do so.
Mathias picked up quickly. "Why didn't you answer your phone? You scared the hell out of me." Mathias said.

"I'm glad. I can't wait to see you again. Jeg elsker dig." He hangs up. He sighs. No use in waking Emil to get back to Sweden they won't make it in time. So he lets his brother sleep a little longer.
After a while he wakes him up and they head back to Sweden.
When Berwald and Matthias get there they are shocked to find that Tino opens the door his eyes red and puffy from crying the doctor and Peter behind him looking subdued
Mathias narrowed his eyes, seeing Tino. "Where's Lukas?" He asked, an irritated growl in his voice. He couldn't believe Lukas went behind his back and did the one thing he told him not to do. Even though he wanted to confront his boss on his own, he still did want Lukas asked and brought Sve with him. And to top it all off, the Norwegian lied to him on the phone.
Tino whimpers a little "I assume he is in Iceland. We haven't here from him and I think he put a spell on us because we couldn't talk about it so we couldn't call you. I really hope he is ok. The volcano that was threatening to erupt did so last night and everyone on the news is talking about a strange circular area where no lava touched I assumed that was his doing." He says leading them in and pointing to the TV where there is coverage of the place.
Mathias snarled in irritation. "Fine. When he gets here, tell him I'm gonna search for plants." He said, turning to go back to the car to search Sweden's countryside for possible plants.
Tino nods and sve goes with him. The problem is they are unsure what to search for "wh't ar' we l'k'ng f'r." Sve asks quietly.
Mathias stopped. "Nej, I'm going alone. You need to stay and do your best to keep Lukas off his feet when he gets back." He said sternly.
His eyes narrow "y'u kn'w h' w'll d' as h' d's'r's w' c'nt st'p h'm" he says jut as sternly "if y'u ar' w'rr'd y'u st'y 'nd w't. I th'nk if y'u l't h'm c'me h' 's m're l'kely t' b' c'r'f'll"
"He wasn't supposed to go anywhere in the first place! He shouldn't be going anywhere near any plants, whether it's with me or not! I can handle shit on my own, whether he thinks I can or not. I need you to keep him home. Hog tie him if that's what it takes. Make the doctor admit him to a hospital or something. Just keep him away from the plants or he's not going to survive this." Mathias said, getting into the car and driving away.
Sve watches him leave before returning to the house and waiting for their return. As he waits he and Tino manage to crack Berwald's boss's computer systems from their house and locate the coordinates of the plants. They then text them to Matthias so he isn't just wandering around in the cold. A few hours later they do return Norge leaning heavily on ice a ghastly pale color and almost immediately he collapses on the couch an asks where matthais is.
Meanwhile Matthias has received the text and has traveled to the nearest one searching for the entrance. Upon locating it he sneaks down the ladder and checks for guards as he carefully makes his way in.
When they tell Lukas where Matthias is he immediately turns whiter and picks up his phone to call him
Mathias picked up. "Hallo?" He answered, his voice just loud enough for Lukas to hear him, sneaking through the plant to find the control room.
Very sharply Lukas asks "where are you?"
"In a plant in northern Sweden. I take it you're actually home now?" Mathias said, an irritated bite to his voice.
Lukas is silent for a moment "yes I am. Do you know how to shut it down or so you want me to walk you through it?"
"I can figure it out. I'm not an idiot." Mathias said with a huff.
Lukas is silent again "I know you're not an idiot but it took ice and I five hours to figure it out without lowing ourselves up. Especially since it's about more than turning it of but neutralizing the chemicals in the plant so they don't explode when the temperature changes."
"I can handle myself, Norge." Mathias said flatly. "Maybe you should actually rest and take it easy like me, the doctor, and everyone else told you to do. Or is that too hard for you to do?"
Lukas is silent and then matthais hears the phone click. Lukas having hung up on him. At the house he takes pictures of the plants infrastructure based on the hope the other plants were built the same way. He then texts them to matthais hoping to help him even a little.
Lukas tries to hide it but he can feel his systems getting worse. It doesn't help that he is so focused on worrying about matthais that he doesn't take care of himself. When he coughs he finds blood in his mouth. But he ignores it in favor of talking the others threw the shutdown process.
Mathias let out a frustrated sigh, stowing his phone as he continued working. He found the control room and started shutting down the plant, working on neutralizing the system so it can't be restarted.
Suddenly matthais can hear footsteps and whispers "they have never sent us down here during the day before." Says one voice before the other says
"Yeah but I heard that all of the plants in Iceland were taken out yesterday. Which was probably good because of the instability of the land." The first then replies
"I guess that's why we are here. To prevent any more shut downs."
Mathias cursed, drawing his pistol. He removed the cover on the circuit board for the system in the control room. He grabbed fistfuls of wire and started pulling, yanking them all out to sabotage the system. He then took a few steps back, shooting at the computer mainframes. He knew he wasn't getting out without being spotted anyway, so there wasn't much point in keeping quiet if it meant getting the job done faster. He then reloaded his gun and turned towards the door, ready to shoot whoever came through.
The two men shout when they hear the gunshots and rush into the room with their own pistols loaded and ready "dammit he pulled the wires! The reactor is going to overheat!" one of them shouts as he takes aim and starts to fire at the Dane.
Mathias returned fire, ducking behind one of the desks to avoid getting shot. Grumbling a curse, he realized he fucked up. He needed to stop the reactor from overheating, otherwise he was going to pollute Sweden. But he had to get rid of these two guards first.
"Stop stop!" one of the two shouted "killing each other can wait! We need to worry about the reactor!" he almost begs ducking under his partners arm reaching for the monitors an checking the dials
Mathias slowly stood up, watching them warily. While he didn't trust them, they were right. "Tell me what to do stop it from overheating, but this plant is getting shut down whether I have to kill you or not." Mathias warned, reloading his pistol.
"Whatever I don't care about that but if this blows we lose all of our families and more. We need the water from 2a to get over to 3b and it needs to stay flowing at a constant temperature. If the water sits two long it heats and then the neurons destabilize." he explains pointing out different areas on a map on the wall. "But I'm unsure how to get this working because we don't know what wire controls what."
Mathias bit his lower lip. "Is there a manual valve I can open? There's gotta be some way the water can flow in the event of computer failure." He asked, stowing his gun as he looked over the map carefully.
The other man helps him search the map for the valve as the other attempts to fix the wiring. "Look! Is that a valve?" he asks looking at the picture "they didn't really tell us what to do in this situation." he mutters "but it looks like it's too close to pool. I'm sure radiation is leaking whoever went down to open it would get contaminated and likely die."
"Then you two stay here and try to fix the wiring, I'll take care of the valve." Mathias said, leaning down and all but ripping off the brace boot he had on, knowing it would only hinder him. He then took off running towards where the valve was to try to open it and let water through.
When he gets there he discovers that the valve is much larger than he thought and is placed between two pipes running in between two buildings. Suddenly he hears a pop and one of the men scream.
He can hear cursing as he pulls and to his relief the valve finally starts to move under his hands
Lukas can feel that something is terribly wrong starting to cough more violently failing to hide the blood running from his mouth as he whispered Matthias's name and started to send his magic to him. He hoped that his magic would surround him and keep him safe and protect him from any harm that may come.
Grinning a bit when the valve started to give, he started pulling with renewed vigor. When the valve finally opened, he slumped down against the pipes, panting heavily and trying to resist the urge to vomit. He felt sick and light headed, struggling to get back to his feet. He needed to get out before he absorbed too much of the radiation. Back on his feet, he started stumbling away from the area to try to leave the plant before he could pass out.
He hears exclamations of joy from the two men who run down and help him to the main office area shoving a handful of tablet at him "here take these they help with radiation poisoning. And it looks like though we stabilized it if we try to use the plant it will blow so it looks like you got your wish. Though someone will need to monitor the reactor until it naturally diffuses itself." the happier of the men say.
Mathias smiled faintly, quickly taking the pills. "W-Well, l-looks like you've got y-your job cut out for y-you..." He said, making his way towards the exit to get out of the place.
The two men watch him leave before the quieter of the two calls "if you ever need our help or need anything from us we are indebted to you now so just ask. One of us or someone who knows how to find us will be here almost always." he says
Mathias nodded before giving them a thumbs up. He left the plant and got back in his car, letting out a weary sigh. Looking at himself in the mirror, he looked like death warmed over, but he knew this wasn't the only plant in Sweden. After all he had the coordinates. He pulled out his phone and called up Lukas to give him a status update.
Lukas's fingers drop the phone but he answer's still coughing "matthais?" he says almost desperately
Mathias frowned. "Ja, it's me. The plant is down. Has the doctor looked you over? You sound like shit..." He said, although his voice sounds tired, it's obvious he's more worried about the Norwegian than his own health.
"ja the doctor has and its fine but you don't sound so well either. You should come home and rest before we tackle the next plant." he says as he glances at the radiation levels in both his and ices blood stream
"Quit lying to me, Norge, you aren't fine! This is why you were supposed to stay at the house! Your body can't handle any more radiation!" Mathias snapped, his anger from before returning. "You always yell at me about not listening to you, but why the hell won't you listen to me, especially when it's a matter of life and death?!"
Though matthais can't see it Lukas shifts back into the couch as if trying to hide himself "sorry" he whispers almost too quietly to hear. "But it was necessary if we hadn't gone that plant would have killed all of Iceland and more just like you said." he almost begs. "Please come here. I'm worried about you." he is crying but is careful not to let it show in his voice.
"Tino was supposed to go with him! Instead, you use magic on them to keep them quiet and then lie to my face when I called you! And you think I don't get worried about you?! Your radiation poisoning was almost twice mine! You should be in a hospital right now!" Mathias chastised, then breathed out a heavy sigh, trying to calm himself down. "Look, I can't come back yet. Unlike you, I'm not dying because of doing something stupid, so I'm going to keep searching for plants. I'll be back when I'm done." He said, then hung up, driving along in the direction of more plants.
When the phone hangs up he sniffles a little before breaking out into quiet heart wrenching sobs that shock the other occupants of the house. Lukas begs to every god he has ever heard or that matthais just comes home safe and forgives him.
Mathias continued driving around for a while, eventually coming across the next one. He got out of the car and snuck inside, heading towards the main control room. Thankfully, this one was set up just like the last. However, he decided to do things in a different order. He first went to open the valve, so he would have to rush to open it. He struggled with it, just like the last one, but eventually got it open. He then headed to the control room to sabotage the computers again.
This time he doesn't hear the assailants before they start shooting at him at least three people shooting from the computer room and straight at him.
Caught off guard, Mathias got hit in the right shoulder before he realized what was going on. Ducking back down the corner of the hall he just came from, he drew his pistol. He then shot back at them from around the corner, being careful not to get hit again.
The gunfire stop for a moment as the people reload their guns before returning fire
Mathias popped around the corner when he heard them reload, shooting at them quickly to try to take them out before they could finish.
He manages to take one out and the other two curse before starting to shoot again.
Mathias hid behind the corner as he reloaded himself. He was on his last clip. He only shot off a round here and there to keep them shooting while conserving ammo, planning on rushing them once they have to reload again.
They empty there clips and he hears more cursing as they struggle to reload again
Hearing them reload, Mathias ran around the corner and rushing at them, knowing full well how much of a risk it was. He tackled one of the guards to the ground, shooting him point blank in the head. He then spun around to shoot at the second guard, hoping he timed it right and caught the last guard before he could reload. If not, he just hoped he wasn't hit fatally.
He is shot in the knee before the other guard goes down. The pain is searing but there are no other guards and the mainframe is right there.
Mathias cursed when he felt the bullet hit his knee, although he was a bit thankful it hit the bad one. At least he wouldn't have to deal with two knees in pain. He sat still for a minute to catch his breath, taking the dead guards' ammo and reloading his pistol. He pushed himself to his feet and limped towards the control panel. He quickly took out the mainframe.
He reached into the control panel and yanked out the same fistful of wires, making sure nothing was overheating before shooting the computers, then started limping towards the exit. He just wanted to finish up the ones in Sweden before he stopped to rest. He could do Finland tomorrow.
He got into his car, driving towards the last plant. He just hoped he could get out and drive home before he passed out from exhaustion and blood loss.
Since he has the coordinates it doesn't take too long to find the plant but unfortunately it is more guarded than the other two plants because they are expecting him.
Mathias sighed heavily. This was going to be a major hassle. He parked a good ways away so they didn't know he was there. He then snuck up to the entrance, doing his best to subdue and knock out guards rather than shoot them, not wanting to alert anyone to his presence. He took their ammo whenever he could, having a feeling he was going to have to shoot his way out. Once he managed to get in, he headed towards the valve again.
When he gets there he sees that there are already people surrounding the valve shouting frantically he overhears one "dammit so we are supposed to expect an intruder but we have to worry about this as well? Can't they do their jobs right up in mainframe?" they appear to be opening the valve.
Seeing that they were already opening the valve, he started sneaking up to the control room. At least that was one thing he didn't have to worry about. When he got there, he figured he wasn't going to sneak in, so he decided a blitz attack would be best. Pistol drawn, he whipped around the corner and started shooting at the guards, trying to take out as many as he could before they could return fire.
He manages to take out four of nine before they start shooting back they seem to circle around a tenth person sitting at the control board protecting him at all costs so as to keep the plant running.
Mathias took cover, shooting at the remaining five guards, glad he picked up plenty of ammo first. He had his pockets full of extra clips, so he could outlast them in a fire fight. So he'd either shoot them all, or they'd run out of ammo. There was still a chance that he could get shot, but he tried not to think about that possibility.
He takes out two more before reinforcements arrive and he can here the man, no the boy, at the mainframe whimpering a little as his hands shake over the controls. At least three men swoop into the room from behind matthais reminding matthais that the whole base was crawling with men.
Mathias cursed. He didn't have many options, but whatever he did, he had to do it fast. Steeling himself for the likelihood of getting shot, he rushed for the controls, gun blazing to try to force the guards to take cover. If he could grab the boy at the controls and use him as a shield, they would more than likely hold their fire.
The boy squeaks in terror diving under the control board as two more men go down and the third falls too his knees shooting until his clip was empty at least two bullets from his gun making impact and a couple from the men begin making contact as well.
Mathias winced, feeling one bullet pierce his abdomen, the other impacting his chest, barely avoid his heart and lung, getting to the boy, he grabbed him by his shirt, yanking him out and held him against him so the approaching guards would have to shoot him. "Y-You do exactly as I-I say, a-and I won't shoot y-you, understand?" He threatened, pressing his pistol against the boy's head. "T-Take the cover off the c-control panel, grab a-a fistful of wires a-and yank them out."
The boy whimpers as he moves to obey the orders and the other guards shout "no! Don't do it! Your life will be forfeit if you do!" the boys trembling hands hesitate for a moment hovering over the wires.
"I-I'll kill every one o-of you if y-you shoot him." Mathias said flatly. "P-Pull the wires, boy." He ordered.
He pulls them out suddenly making an alarm go off and the boy says softly "hurry now the main base has been alerted they will be here soon to get you." The other guards just stare in shock.
Mathias nodded, putting a couple rounds into the computer just to be certain. "Y-You'll have to stick with m-me for just a-a bit longer...o-once we're clear, I-I'll let you go, I-I promise." He said to the boy, then carefully started leaving the control room with the boy, keeping him in front as a hostage, making his way towards the exit.
The boy says nothing trying not to fall over the bodies in front of him. The guards in the immediate area let them past but when they are almost to the exit someone shoots directly at the boy the bullet going through the boy's leg and into the Danes the boy cries out at the sudden pain. Then the last three guards also begin to fire.
Mathias cursed, feeling the bullet pierce his leg. Not wanting to kill the boy, he let him go and made a run for it, shooting back at the guards to try to cover himself.
He feels the boy latch onto his shirt as one of the guard's fall the boy picks up the gun and clumsily shooting at one of the guards it hits and the boy drops the gun in surprise leaving one last guard to take care of.
Mathias took the opportunity and unloaded the rest of his clip into the last guard. Panting heavily, he wrapped an arm around the kid to help him out to his car. "I-I'll take you to a-a hospital..." He said li
The boy seems to panic "no! They will find me and kill me! Take me with you!" He begs as he climbs into the passenger side of the car looking at him pleadingly.
Mathias sighed heavily, getting into the driver's seat, willing himself to stay conscious. He'd definitely taken a lot more damage than he intended to, and lost a lot of blood. He just hoped they could make it to Sve's place before passing out. "J-Ja...okay..." He said lightly, starting to drive home, pulling out his phone and called Lukas.
"Hallo?" Lukas answer's quickly as the boy tears at his jacket to make bandages
"N-Norge...th-the third plant is d-down..." Mathias said weakly, not even bothering to hide the pain he was in. "P-Prep the doc for s-surgery..." He added, glancing down at himself. "S-Sorry, Norge...I-I tried not to get sh-shot..."
"What?" Lukas says alarmed "doc! Prep for surgery!" Lukas calls out "please tell me you're ok." Lukas almost begs and then the boy says "I can drive switch with me and just tell me where we are going!"
Mathias let out a raspy chuckle. "A-A few bullets aren't g-gonna kill me..." He said, then looked over at the boy and shook his head. "I-I need something t-to focus on if I-I'm gonna s-stay conscious..." He told him.
He nods his head as Lukas sighs "good but I swear if you're making it sound better than it is I will shoot you myself. Wait. Who are you talking to?" he says curiously
"K-Kid who helped me o-out...h-he got shot in th-the leg, though, s-so he's gonna need s-some help, t-too..." Mathias replied. "I-If you want to know, I-I got shot f-five times, b-but only two a-are serious..."
"Alright the doctor is prepping. Should I use my magic to speed up your progress home?" Lukas asks tenderly trying to soothe his lover's pain. The boy's eyes are lighting up as he glances out the window despite the pain and blood he seems genuinely happy to have escaped from the plant.
"N-Nej...S-Sve might have to c-carry me in, th-though..." Mathias replied honestly. They weren't too much further from Sve's place, and he was already feeling rather foggy headed. He didn't need to be even more disoriented from magic travel.
"Alright stay on the phone till you get here ok?" he says seriously turning and telling sve to go into the front yard which he does immediately.
"J-Ja, I-I will..." Mathias replied. It wasn't much longer before they got to Sve's place, parking haphazardly in front of the house, half on the curb. "I-I'm here..." He said, the phone slipping from his hand as darkness started to swallow his vision.
Sve is immediately there carrying the other man into the house with the boy following behind.
Mathias blacked out completely as soon as Sve picked him up.
