Hey everyone I'm back with another chapter thanks to everyone who reviewed I really appreciate it. I don't need any more cats for leafclan but if you want a rival clan then vote on my pole. Which ever choice has the most votes wins so please vote. I don't want Leafclan to seam like a safe-heaven, which it is not. sooooo on with the chapter!
Featherpaw's POV.
"WE'RE SEEING THE TERRITORY TODAY!WE'RE SEEING THE TERRITORY TODAY!WE'RE SEEING THE TERRITORY TODAY!WE'RE SEEING THE TERRITORY TODAY!" I yelled in the apprentice den as my littermates started to wake up I'd been awake since before dawn and I was bouncing around like a kit on it's first time out of the nursery. I'm finaly an apprentice. I can't wait to see the River and the Meadow and the Island in the middle of the really, really, really wide river. There's a stepping rock bridge all the way to the Island that my clan owns and I can't wait to go, DID I mention that I couldn't wait to go? I think I did oh well.
"Featherpaw shut up some of us are still trying to sleep you Fluff-brain." My sister Blazingpaw said.
"Well Blazingpaw if you want to see the territory you might wanna wake up." I said as I got a water-filled mossball and dumped it on Blazingpaw and Emberpaw who were still trying to go back to sleep. All of my other littermates were already awake as soon as I started yowling about going out of camp for the first time watched with amusement as Blazingpaw and Emberpaw shrieked with surprise and jumped out of their nests fully alert and angry at me.
"Featherpaw!" They both shouted at me and Moonpaw, Ravenpaw, Brightpaw who were laughing our muzzles off at their drenched pelts and wet nests.
"You wouldn't get up and our mentors said that we all had to be awake at the same time to go see the territory." I said in between laughs and meows of giggling.
"Oh yeah well if you think this is so funny than your wrong." Emberpaw said.
"You're right Emberpaw it isn't funny it's hilarious!" Brightpaw said and we started to laugh even more at Blazingpaw and Emberpaw. soon they joined in laughing as well looking at their spiked up fur and drenched pelt.
I quickly ran out of the apprentice den with my siblings hot on my heels and ran to the thorn tunnel waiting beside it for our mentors. By the time we were out of camp it was nearly sunhigh but me and my siblings didn't mind we loved being outside of camp and we saw everything. We saw the Island, the Great River, the Meadow, the Mossy Clearing where we battle train, and the Forest that was all our territory. By the time we were done looking around and exploring the territory we headed home. By the time we got home it was a quarter past dusk and we were all tired. Especially Brightpaw. We grabbed one piece of prey for each of us and quietly ate the food and then when we were done we went into the apprentice den and slept.
The next morning...
I woke up and went outside it was dawn and I was always an early riser. My mamma said so. I was happy so I quickly found Watersplash. "Can we have battle training today Please?" I asked and put on my begging-kit look which always got me what I wanted, most of the time.
"Sure Featherpaw. Get some breakfast and meet me beside the thorn tunnel. Is it okay if we have you mock a battle with Sparrowflight, just so I can see your instincts and were we need to start with your battle training?"
"Sure Watersplash." I said as I walk over to the freshkill pile and quickly grabbed and ate a water vole, one of my favorites. I then padded over to where Watersplash and Sparrowflight were sitting. We then padded out of the thorn tunnel and to the Mossy Clearing.
"Okay Featherpaw this is a battle to test your instincts and how well you do in a battle. Ready...Set...Fight!" Watersplash said.
Sparrowflight had already leaped at me and just as she landed I ran underneath of her and batted harshly at her soft belly with sheathed claws and leaped away sure to give her a little bit of a bruising. Sparrowflight yowled with shock and leaped at me again. I leaped up as well and just as she landed where I'd been a second ago I crashed down on her and while the breath was knocked out of her I batted at her back and held her down with a paw on her neck and a paw on her rump. I had beaten a new warrior. I looked over to my mentor and saw her eyes shinning with pride. I got off of Sparrowflight and walked over to my mentor.
"H-how did you do those moves it took me weeks to perfect them and you perfected them without training before in your life." Sparrowflight stuttered.
"I don't know how I did those moves Sparrowflight. I just did." I said proud of myself.
My mentor and Sparrowflight and I trained until sunhigh. I had basicly mastered every move shone to me. And even beat Sparrowflight three more times before heading back to camp. I was so excited that I forgot that I was tired and ran all the way to camp and up to my mother.
"MOTHER, MOTHER. GUESS WHAT I DID TODAY!" I shouted.
"What did you do?" Leafstar asked.
"I beat Sparrowflight three times and mastered every move that Watersplash and Sparrowflight could think of on my first time!" I told her.
"Really? That's great and If I ask your mentor she'll say that you did what you told me." Leafstar said teasingly.
"Of course Mother!" I said acting shocked at what my mother said.
My mother then walked over to Watersplash and asked her if what I'd said was true and Watersplash nodded and my mother's face turned from curious to shocked in a matter of seconds and I could tell that she was proud of me.
My Mother walked up to me and said " Well then my little paw aren't you special. You can have first pick of the freshkill pile okay sweetie?"
"Okay thanks Mom!" I called back as I ran off to pick out a sparrow from the freshkill pile. I quickly ate my meal in silence and went to the apprentices den and laid down and fell asleep almost as soon as I had laid down.
