Over popular demand for Marty to live with Callen

Callen leaves the hospital and heads over to a furniture store. I am just taking a look, to see if there is anything out there that I like he tells himself. He knows that while he will never give up looking for his family and who he is. It is time to stop living in the past. It is time to stop coming home to an empty apartment. As Callen looks around, he is not really paying attention. His mind is more on Deeks. He doesn't understand him, he has all these people who care about him and he was willing to risk his health and his life for an undercover assignment that he told no one about. He has always been a lone wolf himself given he got tossed around a lot as a child. But he has people who cares about him; Hetty, Sam and Gibbs. Kensi and Deeks also care. Now Deeks fire family has invited him in as well. He really likes Kelly Severide and wishes that he had gotten to know him before.

If Deeks comes to stay with him while he recovers, it will be about him and not his family. Although if Gabby Dawson wants to spoil Deeks with food and him by extension. That would just be the icing on the cake. She can cook! Nothing at this store is screaming to be bought. He will go back to the hospital and check on Deeks before heading to another store.

At the Hospital Hetty and Kelly are waiting outside of Marty's Hospital while it appears that he is having a heated discussion with Dr. Halstead. Callen approaches them and nods over to Marty.

"Will won't release Marty from the hospital if he doesn't stay with someone who will keep an eye on him. Marty is fighting him on it, he wants to go back to his apartment. Will is only going to let Marty go back to his apartment when he is back at a healthy weight and no longer dehydrated." Kelly explains

Callen nods. "How long will he take him to get back to a healthy weight?"

"Will is unsure. It could be months or a year or 2. When he was 11 it took over 2 years to get him stable at a healthy weight. But also at that time he was suffering from malnutrition and had been for a while."

"If you don't mind me asking, was it just the malnutrition and his weight at that time or was there more to it. You don't have to answer if you don't want to." Callen asks

"It is no big secret, everyone knows. Will treated him when he was admitted. He had a broken arm, a black eye and his other eye was swollen shut. By the time I met him he was wearing a patch over the eye." Kelly explains.

Will comes out and allows everyone back into see Marty. Marty is looking at his hands.

"Marty has a question he would like to ask?" Will probes. He was not giving Marty an out.

"Callen, may I stay with you on a temporary basis." Marty asks.

Callen nods.

"Callen, I have some furniture in storage that I believe you will like. So no need to go to any more furniture stores." Hetty speaks up as she leaves

Callen nods again.

"Were you shopping for furniture?" Kelly asks a little lost.

"I was, but didn't find anything. Should have known. I have known Hetty for a long time and it is definitely scary how she knows things. Dr. Halstead when can he leave?" Callen asks.

"Call me Will. I can start his discharge. Just make sure he takes it easy and rests. I will be buy on occasions to check on him. If you will come with me we will get your info for his discharge papers."

Callen follows Will out leaving Marty and Kelly alone. When Callen returns he sees through the window that Kelly is lecturing Marty and Marty is looking well chastised. He is sure that Marty has many lectures in front of him to not look forward to but well earned. Including one from him as team leader. Callen knocks on the door to let Kelly and Marty that he is there.

On the way home Callen stops at the fish taco stand to pick up lunch for Marty. Marty sits in the car and watches as Callen gets the food.

"What is this? A condemned man last meal." Marty asks as he takes the food from Callen.

"It won't be so bad. But heads up, you do have a lectures coming from Hetty and I when you are ready to go back to work." Callen warns.

"I figure as much. Can we just get this over with now? I know I messed up. I know that I jeopardize the cases and your life as well as Sam and Kensi."

Callen shakes his head, yes all that he had said is true. But he didn't mention that part of his mess up is what he did to his health and that he risked his life for it. Deeks stare out the window as Callen drive.

As they arrive at Callen's house. Callen opens the door to find his place fully furnished; all with things he would have bought for himself. Also in the House was Sam, Kensi and Monty.

Monty carefully walked over to Deeks, happy to see him but knows that he needs to be cautious. In Marty's room is a bed for Monty.

"We knew you would feel better if Monty was here with you." Kensi says.

"Translation, we knew that you would use Monty as an excuse to leave before you suppose to." Callen answers.

Deeks rolls his eyes, they know him to well.
